Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a malignancy known for its unfavorable prognosis. The dysregulation of the tumor microenvironment (TME) can affect the sensitivity to immunotherapy or chemotherapy, leading to treatment failure. The elucidation of PHLDA2's involvement in HCC is imperative, and the clinical value of PHLDA2 is also underestimated. Here, bioinformatics analysis was performed in multiple cohorts to explore the phenotype and mechanism through which PHLDA2 may affect the progression of HCC. Then, the expression and function of PHLDA2 were examined via the qRT-PCR, Western Blot, and MTT assays. Our findings indicate a substantial upregulation of PHLDA2 in HCC, correlated with a poorer prognosis. The methylation levels of PHLDA2 were found to be lower in HCC tissues compared to normal liver tissues. Besides, noteworthy associations were observed between PHLDA2 expression and immune infiltration in HCC. In addition, PHLDA2 upregulation is closely associated with stemness features and immunotherapy or chemotherapy resistance in HCC. In vitro experiments showed that sorafenib or cisplatin significantly up-regulated PHLDA2 mRNA levels, and PHLDA2 knockdown markedly decreased the sensitivity of HCC cells to chemotherapy drugs. Meanwhile, we found that TGF-ß induced the expression of PHLDA2 in vitro. The GSEA and in vitro experiment indicated that PHLDA2 may promote the HCC progression via activating the AKT signaling pathway. Our study revealed the novel role of PHLDA2 as an independent prognostic factor, which plays an essential role in TME remodeling and treatment resistance in HCC.

A generalized reliability model comprising the objective, constraint, and judgment functions is established for the reliability index approach (RIA), taking parameters' properties of engineering practice and negative reliability index into consideration. Based on this, the reliability-based design (RBD) problem with multiple design variables is translated into the solution to the nonlinear equations, and a simplified method consisting of a simple variant of the Newton iteration method and the finite difference method (FDM) is proposed. Numerical examples are presented to verify the efficiency of the proposed reliability approach and to determine the incremental step size for FDM. RBD of a simply supported beam is illustrated and the variabilities of design variables are investigated considering the uncertainties in the manufacturing process and practical operations. Results reveal that the variations of the design variables should not be ignored. Moreover, analysis results show that the design value might not intuitively increase with the increase of its coefficient of variation (CoV), and it might not increase with the increasing reliability requirement for problems involving multiple variables. The reasons for this phenomenon are very complicated, and it is a systematic problem. One should be aware of this phenomenon, and specific analysis is required for specific problems.

Proteins are the keystone for the execution of various life activities, and the maintenance of protein normalization is crucial for organisms. Ubiquitination, as a post-transcriptional modification, is widely present in organisms, and it relies on the sophisticated ubiquitin-proteasome (UPS) system that controls protein quality and modulates protein lifespan. Deubiquitinases (DUBs) counteract ubiquitination and are essential for the maintenance of homeostasis. Ubiquitin specific peptidase 3 (USP3) is a member of the DUBs that has received increasing attention in recent years. USP3 is a novel chromatin modifier that tightly regulates the DNA damage response (DDR) and maintains genome integrity. Meanwhile, USP3 acts as a key regulator of inflammatory vesicles and sustains the normal operation of the innate immune system. In addition, USP3 is aberrantly expressed in a wide range of cancers, such as gastric cancer, glioblastoma and neuroblastoma, implicating that USP3 could be an effective target for targeted therapies. In this review, we retrace all the current researches of USP3, describe the structure of USP3, elucidate its functions in DNA damage, immune and inflammatory responses and the cell cycle, and summarize the important role of USP3 in multiple cancers and diseases.

While Ru-catalyzed hydrogenolysis holds significant promise in converting waste polyolefins into value-added alkane fuels, a major constraint is the high cost of noble metal catalysts. In this work, we propose, for the first time, that Co-based catalysts derived from CoAl-layered double hydroxide (LDH) are alternatives for efficient polyolefin hydrogenolysis. Leveraging the chemical flexibility of the LDH platform, we reveal that metallic Co species serve as highly efficient active sites for polyolefin hydrogenolysis. Furthermore, we introduced Ni into the Co framework to tackle the issue of restricted hydrogenation ability associated with contiguous Co-Co sites. In-situ analysis indicates that the integration of Ni induces electron transfer and facilitates hydrogen spillover. This dual effect synergistically enhances the hydrogenation/desorption of olefin intermediates, resulting in a significant reduction in the yield of low-value CH4 from 27.1 to 12.6%. Through leveraging the unique properties of LDH, we have developed efficient and cost-effective catalysts for the sustainable recycling and valorization of waste polyolefin materials.

BACKGROUND: The ectopic superior parathyroid in the tracheoesophageal groove and paraesophageal region is rare. Hyperparathyroidism results when these glands become hyperfunctioning. That may necessitate surgical intervention in the form of parathyroidectomy, which requires a transsternal or transthoracic approach due to a deeply seated mediastinal parathyroid gland. Minimally invasive strategies have emerged recently as an alternative approach with less morbidity. CASE PRESENTATION: We present a case of the paraesophageal ectopic parathyroid gland in the superior posterior mediastinum, which was successfully treated with thoracoscopic resection. CONCLUSION: The current imaging tools improve the thoracoscopic management of mediastinal parathyroid glands. Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) can provide access and exposure to ectopic parathyroid adenoma with low morbidity and financial burden.

This review targets the application of the Verbal Fluency Task (VFT) in conjunction with functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) for diagnosing psychiatric disorders, specifically in the contexts of China and Japan. These two countries are at the forefront of integrating fNIRS with VFT in clinical psychiatry, often employing this combination as a complementary tool alongside traditional psychiatric examinations. Our study aims to synthesize research findings on the hemodynamic responses elicited by VFT task in clinical settings of the two countries, analyzing variations in task design (phonological versus semantic), stimulus modality (auditory versus visual), and the impact of language typology. The focus on China and Japan is crucial, as it provides insights into the unique applications and adaptations of VFT in these linguistically and culturally distinct environments. By exploring these specific cases, our review underscores the importance of tailoring VFT to fit the linguistic and cultural context, thereby enhancing its validity and utility in cross-cultural psychiatric assessments.

Rapid review (RR) could accelerate the traditional systematic review (SR) process by simplifying or omitting steps using various shortcuts. With the increasing popularity of RR, numerous shortcuts had emerged, but there was no consensus on how to choose the most appropriate ones. This study conducted a literature search in PubMed from inception to December 21, 2023, using terms such as "rapid review" "rapid assessment" "rapid systematic review" and "rapid evaluation". We also scanned the reference lists and performed citation tracking of included impact studies to obtain more included studies. We conducted a narrative synthesis of all RR approaches, shortcuts and studies assessing their effectiveness at each stage of RRs. Based on the current evidence, we provided recommendations on utilizing certain shortcuts in RRs. Ultimately, we identified 185 studies focusing on summarizing RR approaches and shortcuts, or evaluating their impact. There was relatively sufficient evidence to support the use of the following shortcuts in RRs: limiting studies to those published in English-language; conducting abbreviated database searches (e.g., only searching PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, and CENTRAL); omitting retrieval of grey literature; restricting the search timeframe to the recent 20 years for medical intervention and the recent 15 years for reviewing diagnostic test accuracy; conducting a single screening by an experienced screener. To some extent, the above shortcuts were also applicable to SRs. This study provided a reference for future RR researchers in selecting shortcuts, and it also presented a potential research topic for methodologists.

Gas turbine vibration data may exhibit considerable differences under time-varying conditions, which poses challenges for neural network anomaly detection. We first propose a framework for a gas turbine vibration frequency spectra process under time-varying operation conditions, assisting neural networks' ability to capture weak information. The framework involves scaling spectra for aligning all frequency components related to rotational speed and normalizing frequency amplitude in a self-adaptive way. Degressive beta variational autoencoder is employed for learning spectra characteristics and anomaly detection, while a multi-category anomaly index is proposed to accommodate various operating conditions. Finally, a dataset of blade Foreign Object Damage (FOD) fault occurring under time-varying operating conditions was used to validate the framework and anomaly detection. The results demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively reduce the spectra differences under time-varying conditions, and also detect FOD fault during operation, which are challenging to identify using conventional methods.

The cytosolic sulfotransferases (SULTs) are phase II conjugating enzymes, which are widely expressed in the liver and mainly mediate the sulfation of numerous xenobiotics and endogenous compounds. However, the role of various SULTs genes has not been reported in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study aims to analyze the expression and potential functional roles of SULTs genes in HCC and to identify the role of SULT2A1 in HCC stemness as well as the possible mechanism. We found that all of the 12 SULTs genes were differentially expressed in HCC. Moreover, clinicopathological features and survival rates were also investigated. Multivariate regression analysis showed that SULT2A1 and SULT1C2 could be used as independent prognostic factors in HCC. SULT1C4, SULT1E1, and SULT2A1 were significantly associated with immune infiltration. SULT2A1 deficiency in HCC promoted chemotherapy resistance and stemness maintenance. Mechanistically, silencing of SULT2A1 activated the AKT signaling pathway, on the one hand, promoted the expression of downstream stemness gene c-Myc, on the other hand, facilitated the NRF2 expression to reduce the accumulation of ROS, and jointly increased HCC stemness. Moreover, knockdown NR1I3 was involved in the transcriptional regulation of SULT2A1 in stemness maintenance. In addition, SULT2A1 knockdown HCC cells promoted the proliferation and activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs), thereby exerting a potential stroma remodeling effect. Our study revealed the expression and role of SULTs genes in HCC and identified the contribution of SULT2A1 to the initiation and progression of HCC.

Quantitative assessment of the drivers behind the variation of six criteria pollutants, namely fine particulate matter (PM2.5), ozone (O3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), particulate matter (PM10), and carbon monoxide (CO), in the warming climate will be critical for subsequent decision-making. Here, a novel hybrid model of multi-task oriented CNN-BiLSTM-Attention was proposed and performed in Taiyuan during 2015-2020 to synchronously and quickly quantify the impact of anthropogenic and meteorological factors on the six criteria pollutants variations. Empirical results revealed the residential and transportation sectors distinctly decreased SO2 by 25 % and 22 % and CO by 12 % and 10 %. Gradual downward trends for PM2.5, PM10, and NO2 were mainly ascribed to the stringent measures implemented in transportation and power sectors as part of the Blue Sky Defense War, which were further reinforced by the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, temperature-dependent adverse meteorological effects (27 %) and anthropogenic intervention (12 %) jointly increased O3 by 39 %. The O3-driven pollution events may be inevitable or even become more prominent under climate warming. The industrial (5 %) and transportation sectors (6 %) were mainly responsible for the anthropogenic-driven increase of O3 and precursor NO2, respectively. Synergistic reduction of precursors (VOCs and NOx) from industrial and transportation sectors requires coordination with climate actions to mitigate the temperature-dependent O3-driven pollution, thereby improving regional air quality. Meanwhile, the proposed model is expected to be applied flexibly in various regions to quantify the drivers of the pollutant variations in a warming climate, with the potential to offer valuable insights for improving regional air quality in near future.

BACKGROUND: The use of adjuvant chemotherapy (ACT) in completely resected stage IB NSCLC is still controversial. This study aims to investigate the efficacy of ACT in pathological stage IB non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with high risk factors. METHODS: Patients with pT2aN0M0 stage IB NSCLC who underwent complete resection from 2013 to 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. Univariate and multivariable logistic regression analysis was used to assess potential independent risk factors associated with poor prognosis. To compare survival between patients who received ACT and those who did not. RESULTS: In univariate and multivariate analyses, adenocarcinomas with predominantly micropapillary (MIP) and solid patterns (SOL), poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), number of lymph nodes dissected less than 16 and tumor size larger than 36 mm were identified as high-risk factors for recurrence. In patients with high risk factors for recurrence, ACT resulted in significantly longer DFS (HR, 0.4689, 95%CI, 1.193-3.818; p = 0.0108) and OS (HR, 0.4696, 95%CI, 0.6578-6.895; p = 0.2073), although OS failed to reach statistically significance. After propensity score matching (PSM), 67 pairs of patients were 1:1 matched in the two groups and all baseline characteristics were well balanced. The results also demonstrated that ACT was associated with improved DFS (HR, 0.4776, 95%CI, 0.9779-4.484; p = 0.0440) while OS was not significantly different (92.5% vs. 91.0%; HR, 0.6167, 95%CI, 0.1688-2.038; p = 0.7458). In patients with low-risk factors for recurrence, DFS (HR, 0.4831, 95%CI, 0.03025-7.715; p = 0.6068) and OS (HR, 0.969, 95%CI, 0.08364-11.21; p = 0.9794) was not significantly different between those who received ACT and those who did not. CONCLUSION: In patients with completely resected stage IB NSCLC, ACT can improve survival in patients with high risk for recurrence. Further large multicenter studies are needed to confirm these findings.

Breaking the D4h symmetry in the square-planar M-N4 configuration of macrocycle molecular catalysts has witnessed enhanced electrocatalytic activity, but at the expense of electrochemical stability. Herein, we hypothesize that the lability of the active Cu-N3 motifs in the N-confused copper (II) tetraphenylporphyrin (CuNCP) could be overcome by applying pulsed potential electrolysis (PPE) during electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction. We find that applying PPE can indeed enhance the CH4 selectivity on CuNCP by 3 folds to reach the partial current density of 170 mA cm-2 at >60 % Faradaic efficiency (FE) in flow cell. However, combined ex situ X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and in situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), infrared (IR), Raman, scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) characterizations reveal that, in a prolonged time scale, the decomplexation of CuNCP is unavoidable, and the promoted water dissociation under high anodic bias with lowered pH and enriched protons facilitates successive hydrogenation of *CO on the irreversibly reduced Cu nanoparticles, leading to the improved CH4 selectivity. As a key note, this study signifies the adaption of electrolytic protocol to the catalyst structure for tailoring local chemical environment towards efficient CO2 reduction.

BACKGROUND: Levo-tetrahydropalmatine and low-dose naltrexone are used in association with reducing cocaine-related cravings, but there are no analytical methods for the quantitative simultaneous analysis of this drug combination. OBJECTIVE: A highly selective and sensitive LC-MS/MS assay was developed and validated to simultaneously quantify l-THP and naltrexone. The analytical method for l-THP offers improved sensitivity compared to previously published methods. METHODS: The product ion transitions of l-THP and naltrexone were 357.0→193.0 and 342.2→324.1, respectively. Chromatographic separations were performed using a BEH-C18 column by an isocratic elution mode with acetonitrile and 0.1% formic acid in water containing 3 mM ammonium acetate. L-THP and naltrexone were extracted from rat plasma using a liquidliquid extraction method. RESULTS: For l-THP and naltrexone, the assay displayed good linear response over a concentration range of 0.5-1000 ng/mL and 0.25-500 ng/mL, respectively. The intra-day accuracy of the method for l-THP and naltrexone was 93.8-101% with a precision (%CV) of 2.43-8.15% and 93.4-108% with a precision of 3.47-8.22%. The inter-day accuracy for l-THP and naltrexone was 91.2-102% with a CV of 2.46-8.06% and 91.5-97.8% with a CV of 3.29-8.92%, respectively. CONCLUSION: The assay has been used for pharmacokinetic studies of l-THP and naltrexone in the rat.

Layered transition-metal (TM) oxide cathodes have attracted growing attention in sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). However, their practical implementation is plagued by Jahn-Teller distortion and irreversible cation migration, leading to severe voltage decay and structure instability. Herein, O3-Na0.898K0.058Ni0.396Fe0.098Mn0.396Ti0.092O2 (KT-NFM) is reported as an ultrastable cathode material via multisite substitution with rigid KO6 pillars and flexible TiO6 octahedra. The K pillars induce contracted TMO2 slabs and their strong Coulombic repulsion to inhibit Ni/Fe migration; and Ti incorporation reinforces the hybridization of Ni(3deg*)-O(2p) to mitigate the undesired O3-O'3 phase transition. These enable the reversible redox of Ni2+↔Ni3 . 20+ and Fe3+↔Fe3.69+ for 138.6 mAh g-1 and ultrastable cycles with >90% capacity retention after 2000 cycles in a pouch cell of KT-NFM||hard carbon. This will provide insights into the design of ultrastable layered cathode materials of sodium-ion batteries and beyond.

In order to modify colonic release behavior of lactoferrin (Lf), a hydrophobic composite nanofibrous carrier (CNC) was constructed by emulsion coaxial electrospinning. Ethylcellulose/pectin based water-in-oil emulsion and Lf-contained polyvinyl alcohol solution were used as shell and core fluids, respectively. An electrospinning diagram was first constructed to screen out suitable viscosity (51-82 cP) and conductivity (960-1300 µS/cm) of the dispersed phase of pectin solution for successful electrospinning of shell emulsion. Varying mass fraction of pectin solution (5 %-20 %) of shell emulsion during emulsion coaxial electrospinning obtained CNCs with different micro-structures, labeled as 5&95 CNC, 10&90 CNC, 15&85 CNC, 20&80 CNC. These CNCs all achieved colonic delivery of Lf (>95 %), and the time for complete release of Lf in simulated colon fermentation process were 10, 7, 5 and 3 h, respectively. That is, the greater the pectin content in CNC, the faster the release rate of stabilized Lf in colon. Lf release in simulated colon fermentation fluid involved complex mechanisms, in which diffusion release of Lf was dominant. Increasing colonic release rate of Lf enhanced its regulation effect on the expression levels of cell cycle arrest and apoptosis-related protein and promote its effective inhibition on the proliferation of HCT116 cell.

Early-onset Schizophrenia (EOS) is a profoundly progressive psychiatric disorder characterized by both positive and negative symptoms, whose pathogenesis is influenced by genes, environment and brain structure development. In this study, the MIND (Morphometric Inverse Divergence) network was employed to explore the relationship between morphological similarity and specific transcriptional expression patterns in EOS patients. This study involved a cohort of 187 participants aged between 7 and 17 years, consisting of 97 EOS patients and 90 healthy controls (HC). Multiple morphological features were used to construct the MIND network for all participants. Furthermore, we explored the associations between MIND network and brain-wide gene expression in EOS patients through partial least squares (PLS) regression, shared genetic predispositions with other psychiatric disorders, functional enrichment of PLS weighted genes, as well as transcriptional signature assessment of cell types, cortical layers, and developmental stages. The MIND showed similarity differences in the orbitofrontal cortex, pericalcarine cortex, lingual gyrus, and multiple networks in EOS patients compared to HC. Moreover, our exploration revealed a significant overlap of PLS2 weighted genes linking to EOS-related MIND differences and the dysregulated genes reported in other psychiatric diseases. Interestingly, genes correlated with MIND changes (PLS2-) exhibited a significant enrichment not only in metabolism-related pathways, but also in specific astrocytes, cortical layers (specifically layer I and III), and posterior developmental stages (late infancy to young adulthood stages). However, PLS2+ genes were primarily enriched in synapses signaling-related pathways and early developmental stages (from early-mid fetal to neonatal early infancy) but not in special cell types or layers. These findings provide a novel perspective on the intricate relationship between macroscopic morphometric structural abnormalities and microscopic transcriptional patterns during the onset and progression of EOS.

Improving the solar-to-thermal energy conversion efficiency of photothermal nanomaterials at no expense of other physicochemical properties, e.g., the catalytic reactivity of metal nanoparticles, is highly desired for diverse applications but remains a big challenge. Herein, a synergistic strategy is developed for enhanced photothermal conversion by a greenhouse-like plasmonic superstructure of 4 nm cobalt nanoparticles while maintaining their intrinsic catalytic reactivity. The silica shell plays a key role in retaining the plasmonic superstructures for efficient use of the full solar spectrum, and reducing the heat loss of cobalt nanoparticles via the nano-greenhouse effect. The optimized plasmonic superstructure catalyst exhibits supra-photothermal CO2 methanation performance with a record-high rate of 2.3 mol gCo -1 h-1 , close to 100% CH4 selectivity, and desirable catalytic stability. This work reveals the great potential of nanoscale greenhouse effect in enhancing photothermal conversions through the combination with conventional promoting strategies, shedding light on the design of efficient photothermal nanomaterials for demanding applications.

Collaboration is a critical skill in everyday life. It has been suggested that collaborative performance may be influenced by social factors such as interpersonal distance, which is defined as the perceived psychological distance between individuals. Previous literature has reported that close interpersonal distance may promote the level of self-other integration between interacting members, and in turn, enhance collaborative performance. These studies mainly focused on interdependent collaboration, which requires high levels of shared representations and self-other integration. However, little is known about the effect of interpersonal distance on independent collaboration (e.g., the joint Simon task), in which individuals perform the task independently while the final outcome is determined by the parties. To address this issue, we simultaneously measured the frontal activations of ninety-four pairs of participants using a functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS)-based hyperscanning technique while they performed a joint Simon task. Behavioral results showed that the Joint Simon Effect (JSE), defined as the RT difference between incongruent and congruent conditions indicating the level of self-other integration between collaborators, was larger in the friend group than in the stranger group. Consistently, the inter-brain neural synchronization (INS) across the dorsolateral and medial parts of the prefrontal cortex was also stronger in the friend group. In addition, INS in the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex negatively predicted JSE only in the friend group. These results suggest that close interpersonal distance may enhance the shared mental representation among collaborators, which in turn influences their collaborative performance.

BACKGROUND: This study aimed to investigate the neuroanatomical subtypes among early-onset schizophrenia (EOS) patients by exploring the association between structural alterations and molecular mechanisms using a combined analysis of morphometric similarity network (MSN) changes and specific transcriptional expression patterns. METHODS: We recruited 206 subjects aged 7 to 17 years, including 100 EOS patients and 106 healthy controls (HC). Heterogeneity through discriminant analysis (HYDRA) was used to identify the EOS subtypes within the MSN strength. The differences in morphometric similarity between each EOS subtype and HC were compared. Furthermore, we examined the link between morphometric changes and brain-wide gene expression in different EOS subtypes using partial least squares regression (PLS) weight mapping, evaluated genetic commonalities with psychiatric disorders, identified functional enrichments of PLS-weighted genes, and assessed cellular transcriptional signatures. RESULTS: Two distinct MSN-based EOS subtypes were identified, each exhibiting different abnormal MSN strength and cognitive functions compared to HC. The PLS1 score mapping demonstrated anterior-posterior gradients of gene expression in EOS1, whereas inverse distributions were observed in EOS2 cohorts. Genetic commonalities were identified in autistic disorder and adult schizophrenia with EOS1 and inflammatory bowel diseases with EOS2 cohorts. The EOS1 PLS1- genes (Z < -5) were significantly enriched in synaptic signaling-related functions, whereas EOS2 demonstrated enrichments in virtual infection-related pathways. Furthermore, the majority of observed associations with EOS1-specific MSN strength differences contributed to specific transcriptional changes in astrocytes and neurons. CONCLUSIONS: The findings of this study provide a comprehensive analysis of neuroanatomical subtypes in EOS, shedding light on the intricate relationships between macrostructural and molecular aspects of the EOS disease.

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a major public health problem in several countries, particularly in Southeast Asia and North Africa. However, the mechanism underlying the malignant biological behaviors of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is not fully clear. Our study intended to investigate the functional importance and molecular mechanism of proteasome 26 S subunit ATPase 2 (PSMC2) in the progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. We examined the expression of PSMC2 in both nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues and normal healthy tissues using immunohistochemistry (IHC). Additionally, we conducted a series of cell experiments to verify the functional roles of PSMC2 and to explore the underlying pathway involved. The results revealed that PSMC2 was significantly upregulated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues compared to normal tissues. Moreover, high PSMC2 was shown to closely correlate with the pathological stage and tumor infiltrate in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. Functionally, we observed a suppression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma progression upon knocking down PSMC2. This was evidenced by inhibited cell proliferation and migration in vitro, as well as impaired cell growth in vivo, along with increased apoptosis. Mechanistically, the inhibitory effects of PSMC2 silence on nasopharyngeal carcinoma could be reversed by the addition of AKT activator. Overall, our study sheds light on a novel mechanism underlying the development and progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, with PSMC2 exerting a positive regulatory role through the modulation of the AKT signaling pathway. A deeper understanding of PSMC2 may contribute to the development of improved treatment strategies for nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
