Optimal dose regimen for radon treatment in different diseases should be estimated with dose-effect curve in the range of a stimulating action of moderate doses. The range of therapeutic doses is situated on the ascending part of the resultant curve between minimal and maximal levels of the factor effect.

Computer diagnostic system (CDS) Reflexotest based on the Nakatani method with the use of IBM PC/AT personal computer noticeably facilitates data accumulation and processing. It is a new non-invasive and simple electrophysiological method providing information on the status of autonomic nervous system which is indirectly indicative of functional capacity of different organs and systems. CDS efficacy is illustrated on 12 cases with chronic renal insufficiency (4 patients in compensation, 8 in terminal stages) who demonstrated low mean potential of biologically active points (BAP) and unbalance of potentials specific for different meridians. In patients with positive treatment effects there was a tendency to better BAP parameters. Deterioration of clinical condition was also reflected by BAP evidence. CDS Reflexotest is recommended for practice as a promising adjuvant diagnostic method.

Anatomical and functional urinary parameters were assessed, by means of radioisotopic dynamic renal scintigraphy, in 60 female patients with a history of chronic adnexitis. Most of the patients showed anatomical of functional urinary disorders, such as nephroptosis, an enlargement of one of the kidneys, ureteral dilatation, bladder reflux and reduced renal excretion. The disorders were more marked in those cases where chronic adnexitis had been accompanied by genital tumor growth.

Radionuclidic method is used in women with preeclampsia to evaluate the state of the central hemodynamics. The examined women are divided into 6 groups. The results are presented on 2 tables with 23 investigated parameters as intergroup correlation is made. The obtained results show the presence of hypoglycemia, increased peripheral resistance, etc., which are in direct dependence on the degree, gravity and duration of the disease. It is possible to discover occurring changes quite early by this method and thus to begin timely proper therapy, which reduces perinatal morbidity and mortality. It is very important that data are obtained by this method, which could not be determined by other methods. However its usage should be performed electively by very strict indications after the possibilities of other methods are tried (ultrasound, rheography, ect.).

Main trends of development of inpatient care for the population are analyzed. A multivariant classification of inpatient facilities is proposed with regard to a set of characteristics, i.e., population groups, the type and amount of the specialized inpatient medical aid rendered, the order of hospital admissions, work regimen, the degree of treatment and care intensity.

Proceeding from the sample survey of the state of training Moscow health administrators, a functional model of continuous postgraduate education for the heads of health care facilities is proposed. The study tackles the problems of training of the manpower reserve. The problems of more effective training combined with the use of active instruction methods are discussed.

A radionuclide method with quickly disintegrating 99MTC labelled human albumin and DTPA in a volume of 0.3-0.5 ml and activity of 37 mVk with two consecutive examinations of central and renal hemodynamics was used in 91 pregnant women with preeclampsia and pyelonephritis. Marked hypovolemia was found in all groups of investigated women with preeclampsia with the exception of the group of women with pyelonephritis. There was also difference in arterial pressure in women with preeclampsia I degree and pyelonephritis, which was statistically significant with advancement of gravity and duration of the disease. The investigation of the functional state of kidneys and blood flow showed a tendency to slowing both in the arterial and venous circulation in women with pre-eclampsia of pregnancy. In the pregnant women of this group and the women with pyelonephritis there was asymmetry in the curves of the blood flow as well as in the temporary indices of renal filtration, which were increases two-folds in comparison with the normal values. They were mostly manifested on the side of the involvement in women with pyelonephritis. Irradiation loading was 0.212 mZv of both examinations and was ten times less than that of x-ray pelvimetry.

PIP: Conflicting opinions exist concerning the use of various birth control methods for women suffering from kidney diseases. Some researchers think kidney diseases are a contraindication for the use of IUD; since IUDs may cause inflammatory processes; others think that preventive therapy of extragenital diseases may make the use of IUD possible. The article studies the functional condition of the urinary system and various hormone levels (renin, aldosterone, vasopressin, cortisol) in women using an IUD. The selections of hormones was based on their role in regulating the water-salt exchange before disturbed in pathologic kidney patients. 43 women aged 19-30 were monitored before insertion and 6 months after insertion of an IUD. 20 women suffered from chronic pyelonephritis, 13 from a latent form of chronic glomerulonephritis; the control group consisted of 10 healthy women. All had previously borne children or had an induced abortion. Besides radioisotopic and radio-immunologic testing, such clinical indicators as bilirubin concentration, cholesterol, and urea in the blood, were determined. Some dependencies were found: for chronic pyelonephritis a positive correlation between the concentration of vasopressin and aldosterone, vasopressin and cortisol, and cortisol and the amount of leukocytes; for chronic glomerulonephritis, a positive correlation between aldosterone concentration and arterial pressure, cortisone level and amount of protein in the urine and concentration of vasopressin and amount of erythrocytes in the urine. The reaction of the kidneys to IUD-induced aseptic inflammatory processes in the uterus is more pronounced for healthy women and women suffering form chronic pyelonephritis, than for women with latent chronic glomerulonephritis, as demonstrated in the test by a reduction in cortisol concentration. The minor changes of the renal functions noticed in healthy and, to a somewhat larger degree, in women from chronic pyelonephritis do not constitute a contraindication for IUD usage and, for latent forms of chronic glomerulonephritis, the IUD is preferred. The functional condition of the kidneys of women suffering from chronic pyelonephritis who use an IUD should be tested by using dynamic scintigraphy.^ieng
