RESUMEN

Experimental and clinical investigations carried out in treatment of purulent wounds in 63 rabbits and in 80 patients have shown high curative efficiency of the local application of millet oil. It has a pronounced antiinflammatory, antimicrobial effect, stimulates reparative processes in the wounds in combination with a considerable reaction of cells responsible for immune defense.

RESUMEN

Fifty RA patients receiving prednisolone and prednisolone combined with retabolil were examined. Prednisolone made a negative effect on central hemodynamics, the effect being less with the use of retabolil. A dystrophic action of prednisolone on the myocardium and the weakening of this effect in a combined use of prednisolone and retabolil were shown on a RA model in rabbits.

RESUMEN

An increased androgen binding capacity of cytoplasmic protein receptors matched by relative hyperandrogenism was observed in the blood serum of animals showing incipient precancerous changes due to methylcholanthrene treatment. Activated forms of lymphocytes and their production of immunoglobulins were registered locally. Absolute hyperandrogenism occurred at later stages, viz. in the course of the development of pretumorous and tumor processes in the larynx. The results suggest that laryngeal carcinogenesis induced by methylcholanthrene shifts rat's hormonal profile towards hyperandrogenism, which seems to be responsible for the development of precancerous and tumor processes in the organ at later stages.

RESUMEN

A case of Goodpasture's syndrome in a patient of 26 is described. The disease mainly involved the lungs and the kidneys. The development of the pneumo-renal syndrome in the patient was favoured by the occurrence of chronic focal diseases (rhinitis, otitis, sinusitis) which created opportunities for long-term microbial sensitization of the organs.

RESUMEN

The state of cells and intercellular structures, as well as the pattern of interaction between the epithelium and the stroma of the small intestine mucosa following their exposure to microbic toxins were studied in experiments on rabbits using histological, histochemical and immunofluorescent methods. It was established that the immuno-barrier function of the intestine was implemented by the brush border, epithelial cells, their basal membrane, fibres and cells of lamina propia of the mucosa. Damage of the epithelial lining of the mucosa was accompanied by intensification of immunological processes in its stroma, which in the preliminary immunized animals contributed to an increase in the resistance of the epithelial lining to damaging factors of the lumen of the intestine. The lymphoid infiltration of the epithelium of the intestine mucosa represented a manifestation of immunological processes constantly proceeding therein. The epithelial basal membrane which fixed on its surface immunoglobulins coming from lamina propia, retained antigens passing through it from the lumen of the intestine into the thickness of the mucosa's stroma.
