RESUMEN

Sandwich panel is increasingly used as lightweight energy absorbing components, which provides excellent crashworthiness performance with the three-dimensional periodic core. This paper investigates 3D-printed bio-inspired spherical-roof cubic cores with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and foam-filled cores under quasi-static loading. The proposed bio-inspired spherical-roof cubic cores with 1.5 mm wall thickness were manufactured using the fused filament fabrication process, which used 70% polylactic acid (PLA) and 30% carbon fiber filament. Moreover, four groups of 3D-printed bio-inspired spherical-roof cubic cores were compared and analyzed on compressive properties and failure behavior. Experimental results were shown that foam-filled double bio-inspired spherical-roof cubic core with MWCNT was the maximum Fpeak with 1.92 kN, which provided a much more stable plateau load and better energy-absorbing characteristics. In addition, it is conducted that a double bio-inspired spherical-roof cubic core with four notches core is considered as the potential energy-absorbing core.

RESUMEN

Anhydro-simvastatin and simvastatin dimer are the two main impurities in the fermentation broth as well as in the final product of simvastatin, which is a hypolipidemic drug. An unknown impurity with m/z 451 for [(M + H)(+)] was detected in the analysis of final simvastatin drug sample. By using reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-mass spectrometry (MS) and MS/MS spectra, the unknown impurity was detected and identified. Separation was achieved on ACE-5 C18 (150 x 4.6 mm, 3 microm column) at the flow rate of 1.2 ml min(-1) applying gradient elution of mobile phase A consisting of Milli-Q water of pH 3.0 with formic acid and B consisting of acetonitrile. MS/MS spectrum of the unknown impurity was obtained using HPLC-MS equipped with positive electrosoray ionization (ESI). The unknown impurity is named as 7-[7-(2,2-dimethyl-butyryloxy)-2,6-dimethyl-1,2,6,7,8,8a-hexahydro-naphthalen-1 -yl]-3-hydroxy-5-hydroxymethyl-heptanoic acid.

RESUMEN

A simple and new simultaneous fourth derivative spectrophotometric method is proposed for the analysis of a two-component system containing cobalt(II) and nickel(II) without separation using 2-hydroxy-3-methoxy benzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (HMBATSC) as a chromophoric reagent. The reagent reacts with cobalt(II) and nickel(II) at pH 6.0, forming soluble brown and yellow colored species, respectively. Cobalt(II) and nickel(II) present in themixture are simultaneously determined without solving the simultaneous equations bymeasuring the fourth derivative amplitudes at 468.5 nm and 474.5 nm, respectively. The derivative amplitudes obey Beer's law at 468.5 nm and 474.5 nm for Co(II) and Ni(II) in the range 0.059-3.299 mug mL(-1) and 0.058-3.285 mug mL(-1) respectively. A large number of foreign ions do not interfere in the present method. The present simultaneous method is used for the determination of micro amounts of cobalt in biological samples, nickel in plant samples, and in some alloy steels and soil sample.
