All-Printed 3D Solid-State Rechargeable Zinc-Air Microbatteries.

Lightweight, compact, integrated, and miniaturized energy devices are under high pursuit for portable and wearable electronics. However, improving the energy density per area still remains a long-standing challenge. Herein, we report the design and fabrication of a solid-state zinc-air microbattery (ZAmB) by a facile 3D direct printing technique. The interdigital electrodes, gel electrolyte, and encapsulation frame are all printed with a customized design by optimzing the composition of the printing inks to obtain the best battery performance. Multiple layers of interdigital electrodes are sequentially printed with a fine overlap to achieve an ultrahigh thickness of 2.5 mm for a remarkably increased specific areal energy of up to 77.2 mWh cm-2. To meet the practical powering requirements for different output voltages and currents, battery modules consisting of individual ZAmBs connected in series or parallel or a combination of the two are printed with a facile integration to external loads. Powering of LEDs, digital watch, and a miniature rotary motor and even charging of a smartphone by the printed ZAmB modules are successfully demonstrated. The versatile 3D direct printing technique enables the fabricated ZAmBs with an adjustable form factor and integration capability with other electronics, paving the way for exploring new energy systems with diverse structures and extended functionalities.

[Investigation on the number of ancient medical books collected in Haiyuan Private Library].

Yang's Haiyuan Private Library in Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, is the only extant one among the four famous private libraries of the Qing dynasty in Northern China. Its collection is ample and graceful and especially rich in rare and secret versions, amounting to over 2 000 kinds, 200- thousand volumes. By sorting out 5 kinds of such collections from the Yang's family catalogue of Liaocheng in Shandong, plus 3 kinds of supplemented catalogue by Wang Shaozeng, the Catalogue of Haiyuan Private Library Collected in Shandong Provincial Library, and catalogues of modern scholars, it can be basically identified that the number of medical collections of Yang's Haiyuan Private Library is 87 kinds. Supposing all kinds contain 112 works, then Haiyuan Private Library totally has 1296 volumes according to the catalogues.

[Therapeutic effect of endoscopic vidian neurectomy on moderate-severe persistent allergic rhinitis].

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of endoscopic vidian neurectomy in the management of moderate-severe persistent allergic rhinitis, and to explore its possible mechanism. METHODS: One hundred and ninety-one patients with moderate-severe persistent allergic rhinitis were divided into three groups: endoscopic vidian neurectomy was carried out in 71 patients (group A), partial inferior turbinectomy and/or septal-plasty in 39 patients (group B), and 81 patients were as control (group C). The life quality was assessed at 6 month, 1 year and 3 years after operation using rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire (RQLQ) and visual analogue scale (VAS). RESULTS: Among 191 cases, one hundred and forty-five cases had complete follow-up documents. The average score of RQLQ and VAS score (x(-) ± s) were significantly decreased at the time of 6 months (0.84 ± 0.41, 2.55 ± 1.57), 1 year (0.91 ± 0.43, 2.63 ± 1.71) and 3 years (1.03 ± 0.46, 2.81 ± 1.75) after endoscopic vidian neurectomy than scores before operation (2.25 ± 0.49, 7.34 ± 1.11), F = 115.45, 133.09, respectively, P < 0.001, and also significantly lower than scores in patients in group B or control group at the same period after treatment. By patient's self-evaluation, the ratio of greatly-improved, improved and not-improved was respectively, 65.5% (38 cases), 24.1% (14 cases), 10.4% (6 cases), and significantly higher in patients in group A than in patients in group B (U = 237.0, P < 0.001) and group C (U = 246.0, P < 0.001). There was no severe complication in all patients observed. CONCLUSION: Endoscopic vidian neurectomy is an effective and safe technique in the management of moderate-severe persistent allergic rhinitis.

[Study of phosphorylated ERK1/2 on nasal polyps].

OBJECTIVE: To study the expression of phosphorylated extracellular regulator kinase (ERK1/2) on nasal polyps. METHOD: The immunohistochemistry and Western-blot were used to study the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 on the normal nasal mucosa and nasal polyps. RESULT: The phosphorylated ERK1/2 was mainly expressed on the hyperplastic epithelium, inflammatory cells, glandular epithelium and endothelium of nasal polyps by immunohistochemistry, which was much stronger on nasal polyps than that of normal mucosa. The expression of phosphorylated ERK1/2 was 4.2 times than that of normal mucosa. CONCLUSION: The study indicated that the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 might play an important role on the occurrence and progression of nasal polyps.

[Brief summary on ancient moxibustion for treatment of fabei].

To formulate the theory and experiences of physicians of successive dynasties on moxibustion for treatment of fabei, the medical cases and theory of ancient physicians are analyzed. It is found that moxibustion treatment has unique efficiency on fabei, which can come back to life, advert a danger, be easy to implement with low cost and be well worth studying futher and promoting the application. The concrete manipulation of the moxibustion treatment are garlic separated moxibustion, direct moxibustion, mori moxibustion and so on.
