RESUMEN
The present work demonstrates the performance of a von Hámos high-energy-resolution X-ray spectrometer based on a non-conventional conical Si single-crystal analyzer. The analyzer is tested with different primary and secondary X-ray sources as well as a hard X-ray sensitive CCD camera. The spectrometer setup is also characterized with ray-tracing simulations. Both experimental and simulated results affirm that the conical spectrometer can efficiently detect and resolve the two pairs of two elements (Ni and Cu) Kα X-ray emission spectroscopy (XES) peaks simultaneously, requiring a less than 2â cm-wide array on a single position-sensitive detector. The possible applications of this simple yet broad-energy-spectrum crystal spectrometer range from quickly adapting it as another probe for complex experiments at synchrotron beamlines to analyzing X-ray emission from plasma generated by ultrashort laser pulses at modern laser facilities.

The yet unknown 2-amino-substituted λ3 ,σ2 -phosphinines are phosphorus-containing aniline derivatives. Calculations show that the strong interaction of the π-donating NR2 â group with the aromatic system results in a high π-density at the phosphorus atom. We could now synthesize 2-N(CH3 )2 -functionalized phosphinines, starting from a 3-N(CH3 )2 -substituted 2-pyrone and (CH3 )3 Si-C≡P. Their reaction with CuBrâ S(CH3 )2 affords CuI â complexes with the first example of a neutral phosphinine acting as a rare bridging µ2 -P-4e donor-ligand between two CuI â centers. Our experimental and theoretical investigations show that 2-aminophosphinines are missing links in the series of known 2-donor-functionalized phosphinines.

Synthesis of the first tricyclic bis(carbenes) with facially opposed imidazole-2-ylidenes and two linking phosphorus centres in different oxidation states is presented using a modular, high-yield synthetic route. The formation of homo bimetallic coinage metal complexes provides a glimpse on their potential use.
