RESUMEN

Optical hiding often requires the selection of specific artificial optical components as carriers, which results in poor versatility of the carriers and high costs for the hiding system. To conceal secret information on different surfaces such as metal, wood, and paper, we propose an optical information hiding method. In this method, we use images of surfaces, whose grayscale histograms have the characteristic of symmetric distribution. Based on this characteristic, we first scramble the surface image, and then adjust part of the gray value of the surface image to the complementary value to embed the secret information into a scrambled surface image to generate a key image. In the extraction process, a projector is used to reproduce the scrambled surface image and the key image, which are then incoherently superimposed to extract the secret information using the human visual system. The extraction process does not require complex optical knowledge and is simple and feasible. Simulation experiments and optical experiments indicate that this method is applicable in practice and possesses good security and imperceptibility. Furthermore, we prove the reliability of this method by embedding secret information in different surface images, demonstrating the potential application of more surface images in the field of optical information hiding. Finally, we discuss the applicability of surface information images and analyze the imperceptibility of key images.

RESUMEN

Background: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a common kidney disease in diabetic patients. Long non-coding RNA maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3) and microRNA (miR)-23c are reported to be implicated in DN development. Nevertheless, it is unclear that the molecular mechanism between MEG3 and miR-23c in DN remains unclear. Methods: Human mesangial cells (HMCs) were treated with high glucose (HG) to simulate the DN status in vitro. Expression of MEG3 and miR-23c was measured. Effects of MEG3 silencing on HG-stimulated HMC injury were determined. The relationship between MEG3 and miR-23c was verified by the dual-luciferase reporter and RNA immunoprecipitation assays. Results: MEG3 was overexpressed in serums from DN patients and HG-stimulated HMCs. MEG3 knockdown weakened HG-stimulated HMC proliferation, extracellular matrix (ECM) accumulation, and inflammation. MEG3 regulated lin-28 homolog B (LIN28B) expression through adsorbing miR-23c. MiR-23c inhibitor reversed MEG3 knockdown-mediated effects on HG-stimulated HMC proliferation, ECM accumulation, and inflammation. LIN28B overexpression overturned miR-23c mimic-mediated effects on HG-stimulated HMC proliferation, ECM accumulation, and inflammation. Conclusion: MEG3 regulated HMC injury via regulation of the miR-23c/LIN28B axis in DN, which can help us better understand the mechanism of DN mediated by MEG3.

RESUMEN

Eight compounds were isolated from ethyl acetate fraction of 80% ethanol extract of the hulls of Garcinia mangostana by silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, as well as prep-HPLC methods. By HR-ESI-MS, MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectral analyses, the structures of the eight compounds were identified as 16-en mangostenone E(1), α-mangostin(2), 1,7-dihydroxy-2-(3-methy-lbut-2-enyl)-3-methoxyxanthone(3), cratoxyxanthone(4), 2,6-dimethoxy-para-benzoquinone(5), methyl orselinate(6), ficusol(7), and 4-(4-carboxy-2-methoxyphenoxy)-3,5-dimethoxybenzoic acid(8). Compound 1 was a new xanthone, and compound 4 was a xanthone dimer, compound 5 was a naphthoquinone. All compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time except compounds 2 and 3. Cytotoxic bioassay suggested that compounds 1, 2 and 4 possessed moderate cytotoxicity, suppressing HeLa cell line with IC_(50) va-lues of 24.3, 35.5 and 17.1 µmol·L~(-1), respectively. Compound 4 also could suppress K562 cells with an IC_(50) value of 39.8 µmol·L~(-1).

RESUMEN

Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals are often used to diagnose cardiac status. However, most of the existing ECG diagnostic methods only use the time-domain information, resulting in some obviously lesion information in frequency-domain of ECG signals are not being fully utilized. Therefore, we propose a method to fuse the time and frequency domain information in ECG signals by convolutional neural network (CNN). First, we adapt multi-scale wavelet decomposition to filter the ECG signal; Then, R-wave localization is used to segment each individual heartbeat cycle; And then, the frequency domain information of this heartbeat cycle is extracted via fast Fourier transform. Finally, the temporal information is spliced with the frequency domain information and input to the neural network for classification. The experimental results show that the proposed method has the highest recognition accuracy (99.43%) of ECG singles compared with state-of-the-art methods. Clinical and Translational Impact Statement- The proposed ECG classification method provides an effective solution for ECG interrogation to quickly diagnose the presence of arrhythmia in a patient from the ECG signal. It can increase the efficiency of the interrogating physician by aiding diagnosis.

RESUMEN

A binocular full-color holographic three-dimensional near eye display system using a single spatial light modulator (SLM) is proposed. In the display system, the frequency spectrum shifting operation and color spectrum shifting operation are adopted to realize the frequency division multiplexing (FDM) and frequency superposition multiplexing (FSM) by manipulating the frequency spectrums of each color- and view-channel sub-holograms. The FDM combined with polarization multiplexing will be used to implement binocular display using a single SLM, and the FSM working with a bandpass filter for each view-channel will be used to achieve full-color display from single frame hologram. The optical analysis and experiments with 3D color objects confirm the feasibility of the proposed system in the practical application.

RESUMEN

Background: QiHuangYiShen granules (QHYS), a traditional Chinese herbal medicine formula, have been used in clinical practice for treating diabetic kidney disease for several years by our team. The efficacy of reducing proteinuria and delaying the decline of renal function of QHYS has been proved by our previous studies. However, the exact mechanism by which QHYS exerts its renoprotection remains largely unknown. Emerging evidence suggests that lncRNA MALAT1 is abnormally expressed in diabetic nephropathy (DN) and can attenuate renal fibrosis by modulating podocyte epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Objective: In the present study, we aimed to explore whether QHYS could modulate lncRNA MALAT1 expression and attenuate the podocyte EMT as well as the potential mechanism related to the Wnt/ß-catenin signal pathway. Methods: SD rats were fed with the high-fat-high-sucrose diet for 8 weeks and thereafter administered with 30 mg/kg streptozotocin intraperitoneally to replicate the DN model. Quality control of QHYS was performed using high-performance liquid chromatography. QHYS were orally administered at 1.25, 2.5, and 5 g/kg doses, respectively, to the DN model rats for 12 weeks. Body weight, glycated haemoglobin, blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, 24-h proteinuria, and kidney index were measured. The morphologic pathology of the kidney was evaluated by Hematoxylin-eosin and Masson's trichrome staining. The expression level of lncRNA MALAT1 was determined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. In addition, the expression levels of podocyte EMT protein markers and Wnt/ß-catenin pathway proteins in renal tissues were evaluated by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. Results: The results showed that QHYS significantly reduced 24-h proteinuria, blood urea nitrogen, kidney index, and ameliorated glomerular hypertrophy and collagen fiber deposition in the kidney of DN rats. Importantly, QHYS significantly downregulated the expression level of lncRNA MALAT1, upregulated the expression of nephrin, the podocyte marker protein, downregulated the expression of desmin and FSP-1, and mesenchymal cell markers. Furthermore, QHYS significantly downregulated the expression levels of Wnt1, ß-catenin, and active ß-catenin. Conclusion: Conclusively, our study revealed that QHYS significantly reduced proteinuria, alleviated renal fibrosis, and attenuated the podocyte EMT in DN rats, which may be associated with the downregulation of lncRNA MALAT1 expression and inhibition of the Wnt/ß-catenin pathway.

RESUMEN

Many studies have confirmed that gut microbiota plays a pivotal role in human health. It affects multiple organ systems other than the digestive tract. The bidirectional communication between the microbiota and the human body is finely orchestrated by different systems, including the nervous, immune, and endocrine systems. Moreover, intestinal flora imbalance plays an important role in the occurrence and development of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, uveitis, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. Multiple microbiota and related metabolite(involving both microbe and host)both impact ocular diseases in animal models and demonstrate striking associations in clinical studies. Therefore, modulation of gut microbiota and metabolite may be beneficial for the maintenance of ocular homeostasis and the treatment of related ocular diseases. This article reviews the recent progress in the studies on relationship between intestinal microorganisms and several common ocular diseases, providing therapeutic targets for potential translational investigations within this research field.

RESUMEN

Objective:To explore the independent influencing factors of patients with spontaneous rupture hemorrhage of primary liver cancer (PLC).Methods:A retrospective cohort study was conducted. The clinical data of 128 patients with PLC spontaneous rupture hemorrhage in Ningxia Medical University General Hospital from January 2017 to March 2022 were analyzed, including 108 males and 20 females, aged (53.4±10.6) years. According to different treatment, 128 patients were divided into liver resection group (LR, n=28), interventional group [ n=39, transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) and transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE)], and conservative group ( n=61). Univariate and multivariate Cox regression was performed to analyze prognostic factors. The LR and TACE groups were subdivided into LR (aLR, n=15), TACE/TAE (aTACE, n=33) and LR+ TACE ( n=19) groups. Kaplan-Meier analysis was performed, and the survival rate was compared by log-rank test. Results:The median survival time of LR group and TACE group was 23 months and 21 months, respectively, with no statistical significance ( P>0.05). The median survival time (38 months) in LR+ TACE group was significantly longer than that in aLR group (10 months) and aTACE group (9 months), and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). Univariate analysis showed that Barcelona Clinical Liver Cancer (BCLC)staging, tumor length ≥10.0 cm, vascular invasion, α-fetoprotein ≥400 μg/L, total bilirubin, prothrombin time and treatment affected overall survival of PLC spontaneous rupture hemorrhage patients (all P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that BCLC staging, tumor length ≥10.0 cm, Child-Pugh grade and treatment were independent influencing factors for overall survival of PLC spontaneous rupture hemorrhage patients (all P<0.05). Conclusion:BCLC stage, tumor length ≥10.0 cm, Child-Pugh grade and treatment method are independent predictors of overall survival in patients with spontaneous rupture of PLC. LR combined with TACE therapy can improve the survival and prognosis of patients with spontaneous rupture of primary liver cancer.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the infection of human parvovirus B19 in Suzhou voluntary blood donors under the current blood screening model. Methods A total of 893 blood donor samples from September to December 2022 were randomly collected. Samples were tested to determine the seroprevalence (anti-B19 IgG and IgM) of B19 antibodies by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA), and B19 DNA of positive samples was further detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR) assay. Results Among 893 samples, the total seroprevalence of B19 antibody was 20.7% (185/893), with anti-B19 IgG and IgM positive rate at 19.4% (173/893) and 1.9% (17/893), respectively, showing significant difference (P0.05). The prevalence of anti-B19 IgG statistically increased with age (P0.05). No statistical difference was not found in anti-B19 IgG and IgM samples among different blood groups. The anti-B19 IgG in repeated blood donors was higher than that in first-time donors(21.5% vs 15.9%)(P0.05). Three cases were found to be positive for B19 DNA in the B19 antibody positive samples, with the positive rate at 1.6%(3/185). Conclusion Although the prevalence of B19 infection in Suzhou was lower than that in other areas and was mostly past infection, there was still a certain proportion of persistent infection and acute infection, which posed the potential risk of blood transfusion transmission. Therefore, attention should be paid to blood transfusions, especially for the high-risk and susceptible groups.

RESUMEN

Pelvic floor ultrasound can clearly visualize the position and morphology of pelvic floor organs, observe the pelvic organ prolapse in real-time, and quantify and analyze the degree of the levator ani muscle injury, which is the most common imaging method to assess the morphology and function of the levator ani muscle to date. The different ultrasound imaging techniques provide a variety of indicators, each with its own advantages and limitations.Furthermore, two-dimensional ultrasound is the basis of imaging, but it fails to detect cross-sectional images of the pelvic floor; three-dimensional ultrasound can acquire the axial plane of the levator hiatus; tomographic ultrasound imaging allows real-time observation of the levator ani muscle injury; shear wave elastography can provide a quantitative assessment of the contractility and elastic characteristics of the levator ani muscle in real-time. It is of great significance to summarize the basic principles of various ultrasound imaging techniques, summarize the ultrasound image characteristics of levator ani muscle and its hiatus in different populations and different states, and explore the cut-off values and diagnostic criteria-related ultrasound parameters for improving the diagnostic efficiency of pelvic floor ultrasound for levator ani muscle injury, leading to reducing missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis of lesions.

RESUMEN

Platelets are reprogrammed by cancer via a process called education, which favors cancer development. The transcriptional profile of tumor-educated platelets (TEPs) is skewed and therefore practicable for cancer detection. This intercontinental, hospital-based, diagnostic study included 761 treatment-naïve inpatients with histologically confirmed adnexal masses and 167 healthy controls from nine medical centers (China, n = 3; Netherlands, n = 5; Poland, n = 1) between September 2016 and May 2019. The main outcomes were the performance of TEPs and their combination with CA125 in two Chinese (VC1 and VC2) and the European (VC3) validation cohorts collectively and independently. Exploratory outcome was the value of TEPs in public pan-cancer platelet transcriptome datasets. The AUCs for TEPs in the combined validation cohort, VC1, VC2, and VC3 were 0.918 (95% CI 0.889-0.948), 0.923 (0.855-0.990), 0.918 (0.872-0.963), and 0.887 (0.813-0.960), respectively. Combination of TEPs and CA125 demonstrated an AUC of 0.922 (0.889-0.955) in the combined validation cohort; 0.955 (0.912-0.997) in VC1; 0.939 (0.901-0.977) in VC2; 0.917 (0.824-1.000) in VC3. For subgroup analysis, TEPs exhibited an AUC of 0.858, 0.859, and 0.920 to detect early-stage, borderline, non-epithelial diseases and 0.899 to discriminate ovarian cancer from endometriosis. TEPs had robustness, compatibility, and universality for preoperative diagnosis of ovarian cancer since it withstood validations in populations of different ethnicities, heterogeneous histological subtypes, and early-stage ovarian cancer. However, these observations warrant prospective validations in a larger population before clinical utilities.

RESUMEN

The spatial resolution of the direct imaging system depends on the wavelength and the numerical aperture. In the terahertz (THz) waveband, the wavelength is relatively large, and the higher numerical aperture of the imaging system usually promises the possibility of achieving higher spatial resolution. Solid immersion technique is an effective method to expand the numerical aperture. We design and fabricate a hemisphere lens with high-resistance silicon to achieve the effect of solid immersion, and obtain full-field, high-resolution focal-plane imaging. The characteristics of the direct refraction imaging and the secondary reflection imaging are analyzed by ray-tracing calculations. And the field curvature of the equivalent object plane and the spot diagram on the vertical image plane of the lens are quantifiably evaluated. It is shown that the secondary reflection imaging can effectively reduce the geometric distortion and achieve more ideal imaging quality. The method of blocking different regions before and after the solid immersion lens is proposed to obtain a clear magnified image of a two-dimensional grating with the period of 300 µm. This method provides a powerful tool for THz full-field microscopic imaging.

RESUMEN

Intraductal oncocytic papillary neoplasms (IOPNs) of the pancreatobiliary system are tumors comprising oncocytic cells, in which three types of fusion genes involving -PRKACA/-PRKACB were recently identified. IOPNs infrequently combine with other histological subtypes of pancreatic intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) and intraductal papillary neoplasms of the bile duct (IPNBs). This study aimed to confirm the sensitivity/specificity of the fusion genes for IOPNs and to examine their significance in other oncocytic lesions. An RT-PCR, followed by DNA sequencing, was undertaken to examine the fusions in 18 histologically diagnosed IOPNs, including four combined IOPNs. Moreover, in two IOPN cases, invasive carcinomatous lesions were separately examined on their fusion status. Oncocytic thyroidal (n = 10), renal (n = 10), and salivary gland (n = 3) lesions and IPMNs (n = 9)/IPNBs (n = 4) with focal oncocytic changes were examined as controls. Fluorescence in situ hybridization using PRKACA break-apart probes was conducted for the combined IOPN cases. Target sequencing of KRAS exon2/3 and GNAS exon 8/9 was performed for IOPN cases. Fusions were detected in all IOPN cases including invasive lesions/none of the control cases. The fusion event was confirmed also in non-IOPN component in one of the four combined cases. Regarding mutation events, 5.6%/0% of IOPNs were KRAS-mt/GNAS-mt, respectively, and both components of combined IOPNs were all KRAS-wt/GNAS-wt. In conclusion, our study confirmed the sensitivity and specificity of these fusions for IOPNs. Here, we analyzed the roles of these fusion genes in combined IOPNs, proposing the possibility of IOPN development via IPMNs/IPNBs. Further studies with more combined cases are warranted.

RESUMEN

Background: Neuroinflammation is involved in the mechanisms of levodopa-induced dyskinesia (LID). The canonical NF-κB activation signaling pathway plays a critical role in the neuroinflammation development and BET protein-induced NF-κB-mediated neuroinflammation. The inhibition of the BET protein function has been reported to alleviate LID; however, its association with the canonical NF-κB signaling pathway in the 6-OHDA-lesioned striatum of the LID rat model remains unknown. Accordingly, we identified the status of the canonical NF-κB signaling pathway in the 6-OHDA-lesioned striatum of the LID rat model and whether the anti-dyskinetic effect of the BET inhibitor JQ1 was associated with its suppression on NF-κB-mediated neuroinflammation. Methods: 6-OHDA PD rat models were treated with either L-dopa plus JQ1 or L-dopa alone. L-dopa treatment was given for 2 weeks, and the JQ1 treatment was given for 3 weeks and was initiated a week prior to L-dopa treatment. As a control, the sham rats were treated with JQ1 or Veh for 3 weeks. The ALO AIM assessment and cylinder test were performed during the treatment. Glial activation markers, pro-inflammatory substances, and critical proteins in the canonical NF-κB signaling pathway were tested in the lesioned striatum after the final treatment. Results: JQ1 effectively alleviated LID without influencing motor improvement. In the lesioned striatum, L-dopa triggered an overactivation of the canonical NF-κB signaling pathway, with an increase in the phospho-IKKα/ß, phospho-IκBα, and NF-κB nuclear translocation and its phosphorylation at Ser 536 and Ser 276 sites (p < 0.01 vs. sham group). L-dopa induced an overexpression of the pro-inflammatory substances of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-1ß, IL-6, and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), and the glial activation markers CD68 and GFAP. All the molecular changes were greatly inhibited by JQ1. Conclusion: L-dopa triggered an overactivation of the canonical NF-κB signaling pathway, leading to an enhanced neuroinflammation response in the 6-OHDA-lesioned striatum of LID rat models. The inhibition of the BET protein function significantly suppressed the activation of the canonical NF-κB signaling pathway in the striatum, alleviating the neuroinflammation response and the severity of LID.

RESUMEN

Angiopoietin-like protein (ANGPTL) 4 is a key factor in the regulation of lipid and glucose metabolism in metabolic diseases. ANGPTL4 is highly expressed in various cancers, but the regulation of energy metabolism in tumours remains to be determined. This study explored the role of ANGPTL4 in aerobic glycolysis, glutamine consumption and fatty acid oxidation in nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells. Two NSCLC cell lines (A549 and H1299) were used to investigate the role of ANGPTL4 in energy metabolism by tracer techniques and with Seahorse XF technology in ANGPTLs4 knockdown cells. RNA microarrays and specific inhibitors were used to identify targets in ANGPTLs4-overexpressing cells. The results showed that knockdown of ANGPTLs4 could inhibit energy metabolism and proliferation in NSCLC. ANGPTLs4 had no significant effect on glycolysis but affected glutamine consumption and fatty acid oxidation. Knockdown of ANGPTLs4 also significantly inhibited tumour metastasis and energy metabolism in mice and had a weak effect on glycolysis. RNA microarray analysis showed that ANGPTLs4 significantly affected glutaminase (GLS) and carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1 (CPT1). ANGPTLs4-overexpressing cells were exposed to a glutamine deprivation environment, and cell proliferation and energy metabolism were significantly decreased but still differed from normal NSCLC cells. Treatment of ANGPTLs4-overexpressing cells with GLS and CPT1 inhibitors simultaneously prevented the regulatory effects on cell proliferation and energy metabolism. ANGPTLs4 could promote glutamine consumption and fatty acid oxidation but not glycolysis or accelerate energy metabolism in NSCLC.

RESUMEN

Understanding the pathogenesis and carcinogenesis of gallbladder adenocarcinoma is important. The fifth edition of the World Health Organization's tumor classification of the digestive system indicates three types of preinvasive neoplasm of the gallbladder: pyloric gland adenoma (PGA), biliary intraepithelial neoplasia (BilIN), and intracholecystic papillary neoplasm (ICPN). New terminologies have also been introduced, such as intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasm, gastric pyloric, simple mucinous type, and intracholecystic tubular non-mucinous neoplasm (ICTN). Pancreatobiliary maljunction (PBM) poses a markedly high risk for bile duct carcinoma, which was analyzed and investigated mainly by Asian researchers in the past; however, recent studies have clarified a similar significance of biliary carcinogenesis in Western countries as well. In this study, we reviewed and summarized information on three gallbladder neoplastic precursors, PGA, BilIN, and ICPN, and gallbladder lesions in patients with PBM.

RESUMEN

Continuous-wave terahertz computed tomography (THz-CT) is an important three-dimensional imaging method for probing the profile and inner properties of a sample's structure. We applied the total variation (TV) minimization iterative algorithm to squeeze 75% data acquisition time of THz-CT without the loss of reconstruction fidelity. The imaging system is built based on a 278.6 GHz avalanche diode source. A zero-order Bessel beam is generated by an axicon, for which the intensity profile remains essentially propagation invariant within the non-diffracting zone. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by using three optically opaque objects. The reconstruction results show that the TV-minimization algorithm can effectively suppress noise, artefacts, and shape distortion created in sparse angle reconstruction.

RESUMEN

Objective:To explore the correlation between peroxiredoxin 3 (PRX3) level before delivery and birth weight of offspring in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).Methods:The clinical data of 126 primiparous women with GDM in Beijing Changping District Hospital from December 2019 to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the birth weight of offspring, the patients were divided into macrosomia (newborn birth weight ≥4 000 g) group (32 cases) and non-macrosomia group (94 cases). Patient general data were recorded, and PRX3 levels were measured at 12, 20, 28, 32, 36, 38 and 39 weeks of gestation. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn to analyze the predictive value of PRX3 for birth weight of offspring in patients with GDM.Results:There were no statistical difference in age, body mass index before pregnancy, white blood cell, hemoglobin, lymphocyte, platelet, and the incidences of gestational anemia, premature rupture, malposition, fetal distress, oligohydramnios, placenta praevia between 2 groups ( P>0.05). The PRX3 12, 20, 28, 32, 36, 38, 39 weeks of gestation and birth weight of offspring in macrosomia group were significantly higher than those in non-macrosomia group: (12.25 ± 2.36) μg/L vs. (10.11 ± 2.25) μg/L, (13.86 ± 2.33) μg/L vs. (11.95 ± 2.01) μg/L, (15.02 ± 2.58) μg/L vs. (12.69 ± 2.32) μg/L, (17.98 ± 3.69) μg/L vs. (14.79 ± 3.22) μg/L, (20.25 ± 2.94) μg/L vs. (16.55 ± 2.84) μg/L, (22.65 ± 3.88) μg/L vs. (18.06 ± 3.29) μg/L, (24.52 ± 3.59) μg/L vs. (19.57 ± 3.87) μg/L and (4 329.21 ± 300.58) g vs. (3 256.58 ± 330.47) g, and there were statistical differences ( P<0.01). According to the level of PRX3 before delivery, the patients with GDM were divided into high PRX3 group (71 cases, PRX3>20 μg/L) and low PRX3 group (55 cases, PRX3≤20 μg/L). The incidence of macrosomia in high PRX3 group was significantly higher than that in low PRX3 group: 30.99% (22/71) vs. 18.18% (10/55), and there was statistical difference ( P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis result showed that the birth weight of offspring was positive correlation with PRX3 level in patients with GDM ( r = 0.226, P = 0.001). ROC curve analysis result showed that the area under curve of PRX3 in predicting birth weight of offspring in patients with GDM was 0.865, with a sensitivity of 86.2%, a specificity of 79.8%, Yoden index of 0.660, and the optimal cut-off of 19.35 μg/L. Conclusions:The level of PRX3 is positively correlated with birth weight of offspring in patients with GDM.
