RESUMEN

Although network management tasks are highly automated using big data and artificial intelligence technologies, when an unforeseen cybersecurity problem or fault scenario occurs, administrators sometimes directly analyze system data to make a heuristic decision. However, a wide variety of information is required to address complex cybersecurity risks, whereas current systems are focused on narrowing the candidates of information. In this study, we propose a multiagent-based data presentation mechanism (MADPM) that consists of agents operating data-processing tools that store and analyze network data. Agents in MADPM interact with other agents to form data-processing sequences. In this process, we design not only the composition of the sequence according to requirements, but also a mechanism to expand it to enable multifaceted analysis that supports heuristic reasoning. We tested five case studies in the prototype system implemented in an experimental network. The results indicated that the multifaceted presentation of data can support administrators more than the selected single-faceted optimal presentation. The final outcome of our proposed approach is the provision of a multifaceted and cross-system data presentation for heuristic inference in network management tasks.

RESUMEN

This study aimed to propose a novel method for designing a product recommendation virtual agent (PRVA) that can keep users motivated to interact with the agent. In prior papers, many methods of keeping users motivated postulated real-time and multi-modal interactions. The proposed novel method can be used in one-direction interaction. We defined the notion of the "hidden vector," that is, information that is not mentioned by a PRVA and that the user can suppose spontaneously. We conducted an experiment to verify the hypothesis that PRVAs having a hidden vector are more effective than other PRVAs. As a result, it was shown that PRVAs having a hidden vector were perceived as being more persuasive than other PRVAs and strongly motivated the users to use the PRVAs. From these results, the proposed method was shown to be effective.

RESUMEN

An economic system is thought to be evolutionary growing. Economists investigate human decision-making by monetary value. However, the emergent property of the economy has not been explained. A model considering the extent of the monetary value is required. In this paper, a time-space model is proposed to elucidate the economic evolution of a market. Since the market activities are always open and realtime, the model of time and space is complicated. For the complexity, the probabilistic boundary and expectations under a low-possibility are introduced. Then, time and space cannot be separated and are defined as an asynchronous relationship. We apply this time-space model to the adaptive agent models of single and double auctions. The results of the numerical simulation indicate the intermittency in a broad area of the control parameter. This result concludes that the extent of monetary value can be a basis of the evolutionary market.

RESUMEN

Heterarchical structure is important for understanding robustness and evolvability in a wide variety of levels of biological systems. Although many studies emphasize the heterarchical nature of biological systems, only a few computational representations of heterarchy have been created thus far. We propose here the time-state-scale re-entrant form to address the self-referential property derived from setting heterarchical structure. In this paper, we apply the time-state-scale re-entrant form to abstract self-referential modeling for a functional manifestation of biological network presented by [Tsuda, I., Tadaki, K., 1997. A logic-based dynamical theory for a genesis of biological threshold. BioSystems 42, 45-64]. The numerical results of this system show different intermittent phase transitions and power-law distribution of time spent in activating functional manifestation. The Hierarchically separated time-scales obtained from spectrum analysis imply that the reactions at different levels simultaneously appear in a dynamical system. The results verify the mutual inter-relationship between heterarchical structure in biological systems and the self-referential property of computational heterarchical systems.
