RESUMEN

The mechanism of enterosorption positive influence on the course of bronchospastic condition was studied on the model of allergic bronchospasm. The using of the sorbent (polyphepan) during the period of sensitization of rats prevented the beginning of bronchospasm or reduced its extent. The results of investigation proved that a decrease the of biogenic amines concentration in biological liquids and tissues depending on their transport and sorption in intestine is one of the main mechanisms of enterosorption.

RESUMEN

Intensity of ascorbate-, NADPH-dependent and spontaneous lipid peroxidation were studied in mice brain and liver tissues after intravenous administration of middle molecular mass peptides, isolated from blood serum of animals with thermic burns. Positive effect of these peptides on lipid peroxidation was detected in tissues of animals with altered rate of lipid peroxidation (strong burns of 10-12% of body surface served as a biological model). The data obtained suggest that individual components of blood serum middle molecular fraction appear to exhibit the regulating effects on lipid peroxidation in animal tissues.

RESUMEN

Dynamics of lipid peroxidation was studied in blood serum of patients with burns of various severity and degree. The burns development was accompanied by syndrome of lipid hyperperoxidation, the intensity and duration of which correlated with the disease severity. The procedure of UV-irradiated blood autotransfusion was used to correct the impairments detected. High efficiency of the procedure was demonstrated by reduction of the lipid hyperperoxidation syndrome in patients with burns.

RESUMEN

The state of lipid peroxidation (LP) was studied in 65 patients with acute diffuse peritonitis at different phases of its development as well as the effect of hemosorption on the concentration of LP products in blood serum and its antioxidant activity. It was established that patients with diffuse peritonitis have considerably activated LP. The LP products when getting into the general blood flow play a substantial role in the formation of endogenous intoxication syndrome. The inclusion of hemosorption in the detoxication therapy complex leads to markedly decreased amount of peroxidation products in blood serum.

RESUMEN

Under examination there were 107 patients with diffuse peritonitis in its different phases. The relationship of clinical manifestations of endotoxicosis and middle mass molecules in the blood was established. One of the causes of the development of endotoxic shock in peritonitis is found to be an instant release of highly toxic substances (middle mass molecules included) from the microcirculation bed. The most effective means of detoxication of the organism include: intraoperative sanitation of the abdominal cavity with the elimination of the infection source, drainage of the small intestine with enterosorption, forced diuresis, hemo- and lymphosorption.

RESUMEN

Fifty-four healthy subjects and 56 peptic ulcer patients were examined for blood serum polypeptides, their toxicity and antigenicity. It was discovered that in the peptic ulcer patients, the blood polypeptide content was 1.5-3-fold higher than in healthy subjects. The increased content of polypeptides in the patients was caused by a high supply of polypeptides from the gastrointestinal tract. Polypeptides isolated from the patients' blood had toxic and antigenic properties. Antibodies against polypeptides were detected in 82% of the peptic ulcer patients and in 10% of the healthy persons. A direct correlation was found between the titer of antibodies against polypeptides and IgG content. It is suggested that polypeptides are involved in the development of peptic ulcer.

RESUMEN

Content of so-called "middle mass molecules" in blood serum of patients with acute burn toxemia was studied by means of gel filtration on Sephadex G-25. Acute burn toxemia was accompanied by accumulation of the molecules in blood serum of the patients with burns; amount of these molecules correlated with a severity of burn trauma. The "middle mass molecules" were effectively eliminated after haemosorption on a charcoal sorbent SKN.2M. The rate of the "middle mass molecules" elimination in haemosorption correlated with improvement of the patients clinical state, with a decrease in symptoms of intoxication; manifestations of acute psychosis were also decreased.

RESUMEN

Effects of "middle mass molecules", isolated from blood sera of patients with acute burn toxemia, on ascorbate-, NADPH-dependent and spontaneous lipid peroxidation were studied in homogenates of mice brain and liver tissues. The "middle mass molecules" inhibited distinctly the lipid peroxidation, the rate of which correlated with concentration of the "middle mass molecules" in the medium. Inhibition of lipid peroxidation appears to be one of factors responsible for neuro- and psychotropic effects characteristic for these molecules.
