Background: An increase in Heatstroke cases occurred in southwest China in 2022 due to factors like global warming, abnormal temperature rise, insufficient power supply, and other contributing factors. This resulted in a notable rise in Heatstroke patients experiencing varying degrees of organ dysfunction. This descriptive study aims to analyze the epidemiology and clinical outcomes of Heatstroke patients in the ICU, providing support for standardized diagnosis and treatment, ultimately enhancing the prognosis of Heatstroke. Methods: A retrospective, multicenter, descriptive analysis was conducted on Heatstroke patients admitted to ICUs across 83 hospitals in southwest China. Electronic medical records were utilized for data collection, encompassing various aspects such as epidemiological factors, onset symptoms, complications, laboratory data, concurrent infections, treatments, and patient outcomes. Results: The dataset primarily comprised classic heatstroke, with 477 males (55% of total). The patient population had a median age of 72 years (range: 63-80 years). The most common initial symptoms were fever, mental or behavioral abnormalities, and fainting. ICU treatment involved respiratory support, antibiotics, sedatives, and other interventions. Among the 700 ICU admissions, 213 patients had no infection, while 487 were diagnosed with infection, predominantly lower respiratory tract infection. Patients presenting with neurological symptoms initially (n = 715) exhibited higher ICU mortality risk compared to those without neurological symptoms (n = 104), with an odds ratio of 2.382 (95% CI 1.665, 4.870) (p = 0.017). Conclusion: In 2022, the majority of Heatstroke patients in southwest China experienced classical Heatstroke, with many acquiring infections upon admission to the ICU. Moreover, Heatstroke can result in diverse complications.

BACKGROUND: Extreme heat exposure is a growing health problem, and the effects of heat on the gastrointestinal (GI) tract is unknown. This study aimed to assess the incidence of GI symptoms associated with heatstroke and its impact on outcomes. AIM: To assess the incidence of GI symptoms associated with heatstroke and its impact on outcomes. METHODS: Patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) due to heatstroke were included from 83 centres. Patient history, laboratory results, and clinically relevant outcomes were recorded at ICU admission and daily until up to day 15, ICU discharge, or death. GI symptoms, including nausea/vomiting, diarrhoea, flatulence, and bloody stools, were recorded. The characteristics of patients with heatstroke concomitant with GI symptoms were described. Multivariable regression analyses were performed to determine significant predictors of GI symptoms. RESULTS: A total of 713 patients were included in the final analysis, of whom 132 (18.5%) patients had at least one GI symptom during their ICU stay, while 26 (3.6%) suffered from more than one symptom. Patients with GI symptoms had a significantly higher ICU stay compared with those without. The mortality of patients who had two or more GI symptoms simultaneously was significantly higher than that in those with one GI symptom. Multivariable logistic regression analysis revealed that older patients with a lower GCS score on admission were more likely to experience GI symptoms. CONCLUSION: The GI manifestations of heatstroke are common and appear to impact clinically relevant hospitalization outcomes.

Unusual blood clots can cause serious health problems, such as lung embolism, stroke, and heart attack. Inhibiting thrombin activity was adopted as an effective strategy for preventing blood clots. In this study, we explored computational-based method for designing peptide inhibitors of human thrombin therapeutic peptides to prevent platelet aggregation. The random peptides and their 3-dimentional structures were generated to build a virtual peptide library. The generated peptides were docked into the binding pocket of human thrombin. The designed strong binding peptides were aligned with the native binder by comparative study, and we showed the top 5 peptide binders display strong binding affinity against human thrombin. The 5 peptides were synthesized and validated their inhibitory activity. Our result showed the 5-mer peptide AEGYA, EVVNQ, and FASRW with inhibitory activity against thrombin, range from 0.53 to 4.35 µM. In vitro anti-platelet aggregation assay was carried out, suggesting the 3 peptides can inhibit the platelet aggregation induced by thrombin. This study showed computer-aided peptide inhibitor design can be a robust method for finding potential binders for thrombin, which provided solutions for anticoagulation.

Porcine intestinal mucosal proteins are novel animal proteins that contain large amounts of free amino acids and peptides. Although porcine intestinal mucosal proteins are widely used in animal nutrition, the peptide bioactivities of their enzymatic products are not yet fully understood. In the present study, we investigated the effect of porcine intestinal mucosal peptides (PIMP) on the RAW264.7 cell model of LPS-induced inflammation. The mRNA expression of inflammatory factors (interleukin 6, tumor necrosis factor-α, and interleukin-1ß) and nitrous oxide levels were all measured by quantitative real-time PCR and cyclooxygenase-2 protein expression measured by Western blot. To investigate the modulating effect of PIMP and to establish a model of dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-induced colitis in mice, we examined the effects of hematoxylin-eosin staining, myeloperoxidase levels, pro-inflammatory factor mRNA content, tight junction protein expression, and changes in intestinal flora. Nuclear factor κB pathway protein levels were also assessed by Western blot. PIMP has been shown in vitro to control inflammatory responses and prevent the activation of key associated signaling pathways. PIMP at doses of 100 and 400 mg/kg/day also alleviated intestinal inflammatory responses, reduced tissue damage caused by DSS, and improved intestinal barrier function. In addition, PIMP at 400 mg/kg/day successfully repaired the dysregulated gut microbiota and increased short-chain fatty acid levels. These findings suggest that PIMP may positively influence inflammatory responses and alleviate colitis. This study is the first to demonstrate the potential of PIMP as a functional food for the prevention and treatment of colitis.

The estimation of postmortem interval (PMI) is a complex and challenging problem in forensic medicine. In recent years, many studies have begun to use machine learning methods to estimate PMI. However, research combining postmortem computed tomography (PMCT) with machine learning models for PMI estimation is still in early stages. This study aims to establish a multi-tissue machine learning model for PMI estimation using PMCT data from various tissues. We collected PMCT data of seven tissues, including brain, eyeballs, myocardium, liver, kidneys, erector spinae, and quadriceps femoris from 10 rabbits after death. CT images were taken every 12 h until 192 h after death, and HU values were extracted from the CT images of each tissue as a dataset. Support vector machine, random forest, and K-nearest neighbors were performed to establish PMI estimation models, and after adjusting the parameters of each model, they were used as first-level classification to build a stacking model to further improve the PMI estimation accuracy. The accuracy and generalized area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the multi-tissue stacking model were able to reach 93% and 0.96, respectively. Results indicated that PMCT detection could be used to obtain postmortem change of different tissue densities, and the stacking model demonstrated strong predictive and generalization abilities. This approach provides new research methods and ideas for the study of PMI estimation.

Background: Prokinetic agents are currently considered the first-line therapy to improve gastric emptying when feeding intolerance occurred in critically ill adults. In this study, we developed a technique to assess the feasibility of predicting prokinetic agent efficacy in critically ill patients. Methods: The first images of each patient were obtained after EFI had occurred but before the first dose of prokinetic agents was administered and additional images were obtained every morning until the seventh day. The gastric antrum echodensity was recorded based on grayscale values (50th percentile, ED50; 85th percentile, ED85; mean, EDmean) and daily energy and protein intake was collected as the judgment for effective and ineffective group. A receiver operating characteristic curve was analyzed to distinguish the thresholds between the two groups and thus determine the ability of the gastric antrum echodensity to predict the efficacy of prokinetic agents. Results: In total, 83 patients were analyzed. Patients in the ineffective group had a higher ED50 (58.13 ± 14.48 vs. 49.88 ± 13.78, p < 0.001, difference 95% CI: 5.68, 10.82), ED85 (74.81 ± 16.41 vs. 65.70 ± 16.05, p < 0.001, difference 95% CI:6.16, 12.05), and EDmean (60.18 ± 14.31 vs. 51.76 ± 14.08, p < 0.001, difference 95% CI: 5.85, 11.00) than those in the effective group. Patients in the effective group more easily reached the target energy 16.21 ± 7.98 kcal/kg vs. 9.17 ± 6.43 kcal/kg (p < 0.001), 0.72 ± 0.38 g/kg vs. 0.42 ± 0.31 g/kg (p < 0.001) than in the ineffective group intake by day. Conclusion: The gastric antrum echodensity might serve as a tool for judging the efficacy of prokinetic agents, helping clinicians to decide whether to use prokinetic agents or place a post-pyloric tube when feeding intolerance occurs in critically ill patients.Clinical trial registration:http://www.chictr.org.cn/addproject2.aspx, ChiCTR2200058373. Objective: The aim of this nationwide multicenter study was to ascertain the risk factors associated with in-hospital mortality in patients with heat stroke admitted to intensive care units (ICUs) and to develop a nomogram for prognostic prediction. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical data collected from ICU patients diagnosed with heat stroke across multiple centers nationwide. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify significant risk factors for in-hospital mortality. Based on the results of the multivariate analysis, a nomogram was constructed to estimate the individualized probability of mortality. Internal validation of the nomogram was performed, and its performance was assessed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, calibration plots, and decision curve analysis (DCA). Results: A total of 292 ICU patients with heat stroke were included in this study. Three risk factors, namely Cr (creatinine), AST (aspartate aminotransferase), and SBP (systolic blood pressure), were found to be significantly associated with in-hospital mortality. These risk factors were incorporated into the nomogram, which exhibited good discriminative ability (area under the ROC curve of the training and validation cohorts were 0.763 and 0.739, respectively) and calibration. Internal validation and decision curve analysis confirmed the stability and reliability of the nomogram. Conclusion: This nationwide multicenter study identified key risk factors for in-hospital mortality in ICU patients with heat stroke. The developed nomogram provides an individualized prediction of mortality risk and can serve as a valuable tool for clinicians in the assessment and management of ICU patients with heat stroke.

Allergic diseases, which are closely related to the composition and metabolism of maternal and infant flora, are prevalent in infants worldwide. The mother's breast milk, intestinal, and vaginal flora directly or indirectly influence the development of the infant's immune system from pregnancy to lactation, and the compositional and functional alterations of maternal flora are associated with allergic diseases in infants. Meanwhile, the infant's own flora, represented by the intestinal flora, indicates and regulates the occurrence of allergic diseases and is altered with the intervention of allergic diseases. By searching and selecting relevant literature in PubMed from 2010 to 2023, the mechanisms of allergy development in infants and the links between maternal and infant flora and infant allergic diseases are reviewed, including the effects of flora composition and its consequences on infant metabolism. The critical role of maternal and infant flora in allergic diseases has provided a window for probiotics as a microbial therapy. Therefore, the uses and mechanisms by which probiotics, such as lactic acid bacteria, can help to improve the homeostasis of both the mother and the infant, and thereby treat allergies, are also described.

Crystallization of organic steric molecules often leads to multiple polyhedral crystal morphologies. However, the relationships among the molecular structure, supramolecular interaction, aggregation mode and crystal morphology are still unclear. In this work, we elaborate two model crystals formed by spiro[fluorene-9,9'-xanthene] (SFX) and spiro[cyclopenta[1,2-b : 5,4-b']dipyridine-5,9'-xanthene] (SDAFX) to demonstrate the feasibility of morphology prediction by periodic bond chain (PBC) theory based on interaction energy (IE) values in terms of single point energy. With non-directional van der Waals forces, only one PBC direction is found in SFX crystal, leading to the irregular 1D rod-like structure. Compared with SFX, the extra N heteroatoms in SDAFX can bring additional hydrogen bonds and some other interactions into the bulky molecular skeletons, inducing 3-dimensionally oriented PBCs to form the explicit F-face network in SDAFX which leads to the final octahedral structure. A simple and accurate method has been provided to quantify PBC vector on the supramolecular level in the organic molecular system, and the PBC theory has also been further demonstrated and developed in the morphology prediction of organic spiro-molecules.

Intestinal epithelial barrier function is closely associated with the development of many intestinal diseases. Heat-killed Lacticaseibacillus paracasei (HK-LP) has been shown to improve intestinal health and enhance immunity. However, the function of HK-LP in the intestinal barrier is still unclear. This study characterized the inflammatory effects of seven HK-LP (1 µg/mL) on the intestinal barrier using lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (100 µg/mL)-induced Caco-2 cells. In this study, HK-LP 6105, 6115, and 6235 were selected, and their effects on the modulation of inflammatory factors and tight junction protein expression (claudin-1, zona occludens-1, and occludin) were compared. The effect of different cultivation times (18 and 48 h) was investigated in response to LPS-induced intestinal epithelial barrier dysfunction. Our results showed that HK-LP 6105, 6115, and 6235 improved LPS-induced intestinal barrier permeability reduction and transepithelial resistance. Furthermore, HK-LP 6105, 6115, and 6235 inhibited the pro-inflammatory factors (TNF-α, IL-1ß, IL-6) and increased the expression of the anti-inflammatory factors (IL-4, IL-10, and TGF-ß). HK-LP 6105, 6115, and 6235 ameliorated the inflammatory response. It inhibited the nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway-mediated myosin light chain (MLC)/MLC kinase signaling pathway by downregulating the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/NF-κB pathway. Thus, the results suggest that HK-LP 6150, 6115, and 6235 may improve intestinal health by regulating inflammation and TJ proteins. Postbiotics produced by these strains exhibit anti-inflammatory properties that can protect the intestinal barrier.

OBJECTIVES: To analyze the research status of forensic medicine in China from 2010 to 2019, obtain the development trend of forensic medicine and explore the hotspots and research frontiers. METHODS: The forensic medical academic papers published on China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database from 2010 to 2019 were collected. CiteSpace 5.7.R1, an information visualization analysis software, was used to analyze publication organizations, authors, keywords, and other elements. RESULTS: The majority of the research institutions were universities, provincial and ministerial scientific research and forensic institutions. Forensic pathology was still an important branch of forensic medicine and a popular research direction. The "polymorphism" and "Y chromosome" had been the research hotspots in recent years. "Medical damage" and "standard" were the most novel studies. CONCLUSIONS: In order to provide scientific basis and research direction for forensic research, this paper analyzes the cooperation network, research hotspots and research innovation in forensic research.

Numerous RNAs are exported from the nucleus, abnormalities of which lead to cellular complications and diseases. How thousands of circular RNAs (circRNAs) are exported from the nucleus remains elusive. Here, we provide lines of evidence to demonstrate a link between the conserved Exportin 4 (XPO4) and nuclear export of a subset of circRNAs in metazoans. Exonic circRNAs (ecircRNAs) with higher expression levels, larger length, and lower GC content are more sensitive to XPO4 deficiency. Cellular insufficiency of XPO4 leads to nuclear circRNA accumulation, circRNA:DNA (ciR-loop) formation, linear RNA:DNA (liR-loop) buildup, and DNA damage. DDX39 known to modulate circRNA export can resolve ciR-loop, and splicing factors involved in the biogenesis of circRNAs can also affect the levels of ciR-loop. Testis and brain are two organs with high abundance of circRNAs, and insufficient XPO4 levels are detrimental, as Xpo4 heterozygous mice display male infertility and neural phenotypes. Increased levels of ciR-loop, R-loop, and DNA damage along with decreased cell numbers are observed in testis and hippocampus of Xpo4 heterozygotes. This study sheds light on the understandings of mechanism of circRNA export and reveals the significance of efficient nuclear export of circRNAs in cellular physiology.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of taurine on muscle damage markers and inflammatory markers in the running. For that, ten healthy volunteers participated in this study (mean ± SEM; age 24 ± 1 year, body mass 72.2 ± 4.89 kg, height 174.03 ± 2.85 cm, and BMI 23.83 ± 1.27). The running exercise was performed for 5 km, and blood was taken pre-exercise and pre-exercise + tau and post-exercise and post-exercise + tau for biochemical assessment. We assessed serum creatine kinase (CK), CK isoenzyme, Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), aspartate transaminase (AST), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), and interleukin-6 (IL-6). CK level was not significantly different in the control and taurine (tau) administrated groups. However, creatine kinase isoenzyme was decreased in the pre-exercise + tau group when compared to the post-exercise + tau group. AST level was increased significantly in the post-exercise compared to the post-exercise + tau group. There was no significant difference observed in the LDH level in both post-exercise and post-exercise + tau. TNF-alpha level was not also significantly different in both post-exercise and post-exercise + tau. However, IL-6 was decreased in the post-exercise + tau when compared to the post-exercise group. In conclusion, we observed that taurine decreases the inflammatory response by decreasing IL-6 and AST, suggesting the role of taurine in regulating inflammatory response could help to increase running performance.

Intestinal epithelial barrier dysfunction can cause several intestinal diseases. Flavonoids have been shown to be beneficial to the intestinal epithelial barrier function. However, the effects of taxifolin (TAX), a naturally occurring flavonoid, on the intestinal epithelial barrier function are unclear. Thus, the aims of this study were to investigate the protective effect and potential mechanism of TAX against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced intestinal epithelial barrier dysfunction in a Caco-2 cell monolayer model. Our results showed that TAX increased the transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER) and decreased the fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-dextran (4 kDa) flux in the damaged intestinal epithelial barrier. Meanwhile, TAX inhibited an LPS-induced decrease in mRNA and protein expression of tight junction (TJ) proteins (claudin-1, zonula occludens [ZO]-1, and occludin), and ameliorating the continuous distribution pattern disrupted of TJs. These results suggested that TAX ameliorated intestinal epithelial barrier dysfunction. Regarding the underlying mechanism, TAX reduced the LPS-induced secretion of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-1ß, and IL-6 in Caco-2 cell monolayers. In addition, TAX suppressed the phosphorylation of nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB), inhibitor protein of NF-κBα (IκBα), and myosin light chain (MLC), and downregulated the expression of myosin light chain kinase (MLCK) in LPS-treated Caco-2 cells. In summary, TAX can maintain TJ proteins by inhibiting the NF-κB/MLCK pathway and pro-inflammatory factor secretion to ameliorate LPS-induced intestinal epithelial barrier dysfunction. Thus, TAX is a promising candidate agent for use in functional food to ameliorate intestinal barrier dysfunction.

BACKGROUND: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the world's leading causes of death and a major chronic disease, highly prevalent in the aging population exposed to tobacco smoke and airborne pollutants, which calls for early and useful biomolecular predictors. Roles of noncoding RNAs in COPD have been proposed, however, not many studies have systematically investigated the crosstalk among various transcripts in this context. The construction of RNA functional networks such as lncRNA-mRNA, and circRNA-miRNA-mRNA interaction networks could therefore facilitate our understanding of RNA interactions in COPD. Here, we identified the expression of RNA transcripts in RNA sequencing from COPD patients, and the potential RNA networks were further constructed. METHODS: All fresh peripheral blood samples of three patients with COPD and three non-COPD patients were collected and examined for mRNA, miRNA, lncRNA, and circRNA expression followed by qRT-PCR validation. We also examined mRNA expression to enrich relevant biological pathways. lncRNA-mRNA coexpression network and circRNA-miRNA-mRNA network in COPD were constructed. RESULTS: In this study, we have comprehensively identified and analyzed the differentially expressed mRNAs, lncRNAs, miRNAs, and circRNAs in peripheral blood of COPD patients with high-throughput RNA sequencing. 282 mRNAs, 146 lncRNAs, 85 miRNAs, and 81 circRNAs were differentially expressed. GSEA analysis showed that these differentially expressed RNAs correlate with several critical biological processes such as "ncRNA metabolic process", "ncRNA processing", "ribosome biogenesis", "rRNAs metabolic process", "tRNA metabolic process" and "tRNA processing", which might be participating in the progression of COPD. RT-qPCR with more clinical COPD samples was used for the validation of some differentially expressed RNAs, and the results were in high accordance with the RNA sequencing. Given the putative regulatory function of lncRNAs and circRNAs, we have constructed the co-expression network between lncRNA and mRNA. To demonstrate the potential interactions between circRNAs and miRNAs, we have also constructed a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network of differential expression circRNA-miRNA-mRNA in COPD. CONCLUSIONS: In this study, we have identified and analyzed the differentially expressed mRNAs, lncRNAs, miRNAs, and circRNAs, providing a systematic view of the differentially expressed RNA in the context of COPD. We have also constructed the lncRNA-mRNA co-expression network, and for the first time constructed the circRNA-miRNA-mRNA in COPD. This study reveals the RNA involvement and potential regulatory roles in COPD, and further uncovers the interactions among those RNAs, which will assist the pathological investigations of COPD and shed light on therapeutic targets exploration for COPD.

Molecular cross-scale gridization and polygridization of organic π-backbones make it possible to install 0/1/2/3-dimensional organic wide-bandgap semiconductors (OWBGSs) with potentially ZnO-like fascinating multifunctionality such as optoelectronic and piezoelectronic features. However, gridization effects are limited to uncover, because the establishment of gridochemistry still requires a long time, which offers a chance to understand the effects with a theoretical method, together with data statistics and machine learning. Herein, we demonstrate a state-of-the-art 3D cubic nanogridon with a size of ∼2 × 2 × 1.5 nm3 to examine its multigridization of π-segments on the bandgap, molecular strain energy (MSE), as well as reorganization energy (ROE). A cubic gridon (CG) consists of a four-armed bifluorene skeleton and a thiophene-containing fused arene plane with the Csp3 spiro-linkage, which can be deinstalled into face-on or edge-on monogrids. As a result, multigridization does not significantly reduce bandgaps (Eg ≥ 4.03 eV), while the MSE increases gradually from 4.72 to 23.83 kcal/mol. Very importantly, the ROE of a CG exhibits an extreme reduction down to ∼28 meV (λ+) that is near the thermal fluctuation energy (∼26 meV). Our multigridization results break through the limitation of the basic positively proportional relationship between reorganization energies and bandgaps in organic semiconductors. Furthermore, multigridization makes it possible to keep the ROE small under the condition of a high MSE in OWBGS that will guide the cross-scale design of multifunctional OWBGSs with both inorganics' optoelectronic performance and organics' mechanical flexibility.

Soybean protein isolate (SPI) is a kind of plant derived protein with high nutritional value, but it is underutilized due to its structural limitations and poor functionalities. This study aimed to investigate the effects of high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) treatment on SPI and sodium alginate (SA) conjugates prepared through the Maillard reaction. The physicochemical properties of the conjugate synthesized under 200 MPa at 60 °C for 24 h (SPI-SA-200) were compared with those of the conjugate synthesized under atmospheric pressure (SPI-SA-0.1), SPI-SA mixture, and SPI. The HHP (200 MPa) significantly hindered the Maillard reaction. This effect was confirmed by performing SDS-PAGE. The alterations in the secondary structures, such as α-helices, were analyzed using circular dichroism spectroscopy and the fluorescence intensity was determined. Emulsifying activity and stability indices of SPI-SA-200 increased by 33.56% and 31.96% respectively in comparison with the SPI-SA-0.1 conjugate. Furthermore, reduced particle sizes (356.18 nm), enhanced zeta potential (‒40.95 mV), and homogeneous droplet sizes were observed for the SPI-SA-200 emulsion. The present study details a practical method to prepare desirable emulsifiers for food processing by controlling the Maillard reaction and improving the functionality of SPI.

PURPOSE: Sulcardine sulfate (Sul) is a novel antiarrhythmic agent with promising pharmacological properties, which is currently being evaluated in several clinical trials as an oral formulation. To meet the medication needs of patients with acute conditions, the injection formulation of Sul has been developed. The objective of this study was to systemically investigate the pharmacokinetic profiles of Sul after intravenous infusion. METHODS: This research included the plasma protein binding and metabolic stability studies in vitro, plasma pharmacokinetics, biodistribution, excretion studies in animals, and the prediction of the clinical PK of Sul injection using a physiologically based pharmacokinetics (PBPK) model. RESULTS: The metabolic stability was similarly in dogs and humans but lower in rats. The plasma protein binding rates showed a concentration-dependent manner and species differences. The pharmacokinetic behavior after intravenous administration was linear in rats within the dose range of 30-90 mg/kg, but nonlinear in dogs within 30-60 mg/kg. Sul could be rapidly and widely distributed in multiple tissues after intravenous administration. About 12% of the parent compound were excreted via the urine and only a small fraction via bile and feces,and eight metabolites were found and identified in the rat excretion. The PBPK models were developed and simulated the observed PK date well in both rats and dogs. The PBPK model refined with human data predicted the PK characteristics of the first intravenous infusion of Sul in human. CONCLUSIONS: Our study systematically explored the pharmacokinetic characteristics of Sul and successfully developed the PBPK model to predict of its clinical PK.
