RESUMEN

Data mining method based on the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) inheritance system(V2.5) was adopted to analyze professor Lin Yi's experience for metastasis breast cancer(MBC) by analysing the high frequency medicine, drug categories, drug properties, the key symptoms and key drugs of different metastasis regions and different syndromes, drug symptom analysis in the effective prescriptions for treating MBC by Lin from January 2013 to December 2017. A total of 89 MBC patients, 5 syndromes and 117 prescriptions were involved. The first 10 most frequently used were Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, Poria, Dioscoreae Rhizoma, Coicis Semen, Crataegi Fructus, Hordei Fructus Germinatus, Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum, Hedyotis Diffusa, Codonopsis Radix, Astragali Radix. The warm and placid property was higher, the most herbs had Gan taste, the first two channel tropisms were spleen and the stomach. Drug symptom analysis in 5 different metastasis regions and 6 different syndromes were also been done. The conclusion showed that professor Lin's experience as: recognizing the basis of diseases, differentiating the syndrome, combinating disease and syndrome, cautiously grasping pathogenesis, combinating tonification and purgation together, regulating balance, treating the symptoms and origin, regulating spleen and stomach, caring for the postnatal throughout, prefering ancient prescription, rational compatibility, using medicine gently.

RESUMEN

AIMS: The aim of the present study is to investigate whether the aqueous extract from Huaier, a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), can affect the expression of Duffy antigen receptor for chemokines (DARC) and its ligands. Moreover, we compare the status of DARC in primary and metastatic breast cancer tissues from the same patient. METHODS: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of DARC in primary and metastatic focuses in 30 patients with breast cancer. The effect of Huaier aqueous extract on the expression of DARC and its ligands was investigated by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, Western blotting, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. RESULTS: The expression score of DARC in primary focuses was significantly higher than that in metastatic focuses, while changes of ER, PR, and HER2 receptors were not significantly different between primary and metastatic focuses. Huaier aqueous extract promoted the expression of DARC and reduced the secretion of CC chemokine ligand 2 (CCL-2), CXC chemokine ligand 8 (CXCL-8, IL-8), matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2), and CXC chemokine ligand 1 (CXCL-1). CONCLUSION: The present study demonstrates that difference in expression level of DARC between primary and metastatic focuses of breast cancer was significant, while differences in expression of ER, PR, and HER2 between primary and metastatic focuses were not significant. DARC may play a negative role in the metastasis of breast cancer. Traditional Chinese medicine extract from Huaier can increase DARC expression and reduce the expression of its ligands such as CCL-2, IL-8, MMP-2, and CXCL-1.

RESUMEN

Taking 51 field measured hyperspectral data with different pest levels in Yanping, Fujian Province as objects, the spectral reflectance and first derivative features of 4 levels of healthy, mild, moderate and severe insect pest were analyzed. On the basis of 7 detecting parameters construction, the pest level detecting models were built. The results showed that (1) the spectral reflectance of Pinus massoniana with pests were significantly lower than that of healthy state, and the higher the pest level, the lower the reflectance; (2) with the increase in pest level, the spectral reflectance curves' "green peak" and "red valley" of Pinus massoniana gradually disappeared, and the red edge was leveleds (3) the pest led to spectral "green peak" red shift, red edge position blue shift, but the changes in "red valley" and near-infrared position were complicated; (4) CARI, RES, REA and REDVI were highly relevant to pest levels, and the correlations between REP, RERVI, RENDVI and pest level were weak; (5) the multiple linear regression model with the variables of the 7 detection parameters could effectively detect the pest levels of Dendrolimus punctatus Walker, with both the estimation rate and accuracy above 0.85.

RESUMEN

Taking the images of Landsat TM, ALOS AVNIR-2, CBERS-02B CCD and HJ-1 CCD as the experimental data, for increasing the differences among shaded area, bright area and water further, the present paper construed a novel vegetation index-Shaded Vegetation Index(SVI), which can not only keep the absolute differences among bright area, shaded area and water area in the near-infrared band, but also can enlarge NDVI, eliminate the possible mixes, and change the histogram "skewed" phenomenon of NDVI, so the vegetation index value is closer to normal distribution, and more in line with the filed condition; this new index was applied to the surface features of large difference of the near-infrared radiation characteristics. Verified by accuracy assessment for the bright area, shaded area and water area recognition effects with SVI, it was showed that the overall classification accuracies of these images were up to 98. 89%, 100%, 97.78% and 97.78% respectively, with the overall Kappa statistics of 0.9833, 1, 0.9667, and 0.966 7, indicating that SVI has excellent detection effects for bright area, shaded area and water area; the statistical comparison of sub-images between SVI and NDVI also illustrated the reliability and effectiveness of SVI, which can be applied in the shadow removal for remote sensing images.

RESUMEN

Significant problems existing in the islet transplantation include a poor survival ability of the islet cells cultured under static conditions in vitro, decreased secretion function, and limited transplantation efficiency. In this study, we cocultured the three-dimensional (3D) self-assembling peptide nanofiber hydrogel scaffold with the islets from adult Wistar rats. The nanofiber scaffold constructed a 3D environment for the islets culture. The results of DTZ staining showed that the purity of the islets in the scaffold was >80%. The result of the fluorescent staining with AO-PI demonstrated that the viability of the islets in the 3D culture environment (within scaffold) was greater than those in the two-dimensional (2D) culture environment (without scaffold). The islets encapsulated in the 3D peptide nanofiber scaffold exhibited better secretion function. The insulin releasing index in the 3D group was remarkably higher than that in the 2D group. By scanning electron microscopy, it was observed that the 3D self-assembling peptide nanofiber hydrogel scaffold formed a nano scale fiber with a geometric form and the islets were encapsulated in this scaffold. Our research demonstrated that this nanofiber scaffold provided a favorable 3D environment for the islets to be cultured in vitro and then improve the secretion function and prolong the survival time of the islet in vitro.
