RESUMEN

Neonicotinoid insecticides (NNIs) are extensively utilized globally because of their efficient and broad-spectrum properties. However, their residues are also extensively distributed in the environment. Herein, MIL-101-SO3Na with abundant -NH- and sulfonate groups was synthesized via chloromethylation and nucleophilic substitution postmodification strategies and used to extract NNIs via solid-phase extraction. MIL-101-SO3Na was enhanced by introducing C-H···N hydrogen bonds to strengthen interaction forces and -SO3Na groups to adjust surface charge and enhance electrostatic attraction. This modification and the substantial specific surface area (998 m2·g-1) of the metal-organic framework markedly enhanced the enrichment efficiency of MIL-101. The proposed method based on MIL-101-SO3Na exhibited a minimal detection threshold (0.04-0.87 ng·L-1), an extensive linear spectrum (1-2000 ng·L-1), and notable accuracy (a variation of 3.02-11.8%) in water and drink samples. NNI concentrations between 0.25 and 24.2 ng·L-1 in fruit juice and tea samples were accurately identified using the proposed method, demonstrating its feasibility in practical applications. The postmodification of MIL-101-SO3Na is an exceptional and promising approach for the sensitive detection of ultratrace NNI levels in complex matrices.

Physicochemical, structural properties and application in lycopene-loaded emulsions of blends of whey protein isolate (WPI) and pea protein isolate (PPI) at varying mass ratios (100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75, 0/100) were investigated. Data indicated that the mass ratios affected the physical, chemical and storage stability of the emulsion by influencing the particle size, zeta-potential, surface hydrophobicity, free sulfhydryl content, and secondary structure of the blends. Particularly, emulsion with a mixing ratio of 75/25 exhibited superior physical stability against salt concentrations (200 and 500 mM), better chemical stability against UV light and heat, and maintained stability over a 30-day storage period. Emulsions stabilized by blends of different ratios exhibited similar digestion behavior, with no significant differences observed in lycopene's transformation stability and bio-accessibility. Data indicated that substitution of whey protein by pea protein is effective in term of emulsifier application and replacement ratio is an important factor need to be considered.

BACKGROUND: Multiple studies have shown that tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) promote cancer initiation and progression. However, the reprogramming of macrophages in the tumor microenvironment (TME) and the cross-talk between TAMs and malignant subclones in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA) has not been fully characterized, especially in a spatially resolved manner. Deciphering the spatial architecture of variable tissue cellular components in iCCA could contribute to the positional context of gene expression containing information pathological changes and cellular variability. METHODS: Here, we applied spatial transcriptomics (ST) and digital spatial profiler (DSP) technologies with tumor sections from patients with iCCA. RESULTS: The results reveal that spatial inter- and intra-tumor heterogeneities feature iCCA malignancy, and tumor subclones are mainly driven by physical proximity. Tumor cells with TME components shaped the intra-sectional heterogenetic spatial architecture. Macrophages are the most infiltrated TME component in iCCA. The protein trefoil factor 3 (TFF3) secreted by the malignant subclone can induce macrophages to reprogram to a tumor-promoting state, which in turn contributes to an immune-suppressive environment and boosts tumor progression. CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, our description of the iCCA ecosystem in a spatially resolved manner provides novel insights into the spatial features and the immune suppressive landscapes of TME for iCCA.

BACKGROUND: Environmental endocrine disruptors (EEDs) are a class of new pollutants that are diffusely used in the medical industry and animal husbandry. In view of toxicity concerns, elevated levels of EEDs in the environment and food, which cause potential harm to human beings and ecosystems, must be monitored. Determination of EEDs contaminants to ensure environment and food safety has became a major concern worldwide, it is also a challenging task because of their trace level and probable matrices interference. Thus, developing rapid adsorption and efficient analysis methods for EEDs is apparently necessary. RESULTS: A magnetic conjugated micro-porous polymer (Fe3O4@TbDt) was designed and synthesized, which was endowed with large specific surface area, rich functional groups and magnetic responsiveness. The material showed high extraction efficiency for EEDs via magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE). The quantum chemistry calculations showed the adsorption mechanism of Fe3O4@TbDt on EEDs mainly included electrostatic interactions, van der waals forces (N-H … π interaction, C-H … π interaction), and multiple hydrogen bonds. Finally, a trace analysis method for nine EEDs was established combined with HPLC-MS/MS under optimized MSPE conditions. The method showed a good linearity (R2 ≥ 0.996), low limits of detection (0.25-5.1 ng L-1), high precision (RSD of 1.1-8.2 %, n = 6). The applicability of this method was investigated by analyzing four water samples and two dairy products, and satisfactory recovery rates (82.1-100.7 %) were obtained. The proposed method showed the potential for the analysis of EEDs residues in food and environmental samples. SIGNIFICANCE: The developed MSPE method based on conjugated micro-porous polymers (CMPs) is simple, green, and efficient compared to existing techniques. The application of CMPs provides a new idea for preparing versatile sample pre-treatment materials. What's more, this work has certain reference value for addressing of EEDs residues in the environment and food.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) offer diverse applications in the food industry, facilitating loading, protection, and controlled release of functional ingredients despite encountering loading capacity and functional activity limitations. This study focuses on curcumin­zinc MOFs, harnessing curcumin's renowned health benefits and zinc to enhance pharmacological properties. We evaluated their synthesis efficiency, stability under varying conditions (pH, salt concentration, temperature), loading and antioxidant capacity. The results showed that microwave synthesis yielded MOFs with a 23.2 ± 4.5% yield, stable within pH 4-10, gradually decomposing in PBS. DPPH, ABTS, and H2O2 assays revealed varying free radical scavenging abilities. MOFs disintegrate in either acidic environments or contain H2O2 (at a concentration threshold of 10 µM). Post-disintegration, these MOFs significantly inhibiting the secretion of TNF-α by RAW264.7 cells induced by LPS. These findings highlight the potential of novel curcumin­zinc MOF materials for nutrient delivery, addressing challenges in effectively delivering functional ingredients.

The aim of this study was to prepare and characterize stable non-covalent ternary complexes based on pea protein (PP, 0.5%), hyaluronic acid (HA, 0.125%), and chlorogenic acid (CA, 0~0.03%). The ternary complexes were comprehensively evaluated for physicochemical attributes, stability, emulsifying capacities, antioxidant properties, and antimicrobial efficacy. PP-HA binary complexes were first prepared at pH 7, and then CA was bound to the binary complexes, as verified by fluorescence quenching. Molecular docking elucidated that PP interacted with HA and CA through hydrogen bonding, hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions. The particle size of ternary complexes initially decreased, then increased with CA concentration, peaking at 0.025%. Ternary complexes demonstrated good stability against UV light and thermal treatment. Emulsifying activity of complexes initially decreased and then increased, with a turning point of 0.025%, while emulsion stability continued to increase. Complexes exhibited potent scavenging ability against free radicals and iron ions, intensifying with higher CA concentrations. Ternary complexes effectively inhibited Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, with inhibition up to 0.025%, then decreasing with CA concentration. Our study indicated that the prepared ternary complexes at pH 7 were stable and possessed good functionality, including emulsifying properties, antioxidant activity, and antibacterial properties under certain concentrations of CA. These findings may provide valuable insights for the targeted design and application of protein-polysaccharide-polyphenol complexes in beverages and dairy products.

OBJECTIVE: This study was designed to develop and validate a predictive model for assessing the risk of thyroid toxicity following treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors. METHODS: A retrospective analysis was conducted on a cohort of 586 patients diagnosed with malignant tumors who received programmed cell death 1 (PD-1)/programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors. The patients were randomly divided into training and validation cohorts in a 7:3 ratio. Logistic regression analyses were performed on the training set to identify risk factors of thyroid dysfunction, and a nomogram was developed based on these findings. Internal validation was performed using K-fold cross-validation on the validation set. The performance of the nomogram was assessed in terms of discrimination and calibration. Additionally, decision curve analysis was utilized to demonstrate the decision efficiency of the model. RESULTS: Our clinical prediction model consisted of 4 independent predictors of thyroid immune-related adverse events, namely baseline thyrotropin (TSH, OR = 1.427, 95%CI:1.163-1.876), baseline thyroglobulin antibody (TgAb, OR = 1.105, 95%CI:1.035-1.180), baseline thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb, OR = 1.172, 95%CI:1.110-1.237), and baseline platelet count (platelet, OR = 1.004, 95%CI:1.000-1.007). The developed nomogram achieved excellent discrimination with an area under the curve of 0.863 (95%CI: 0.817-0.909) and 0.885 (95%CI: 0.827-0.944) in the training and internal validation cohorts respectively. Calibration curves exhibited a good fit, and the decision curve indicated favorable clinical benefits. CONCLUSION: The proposed nomogram serves as an effective and intuitive tool for predicting the risk of thyroid immune-related adverse events, facilitating clinicians making individualized decisions based on patient-specific information.

OBJECTIVE: Epilepsy patients exhibit considerable differences in their response to sodium valproate (VPA) therapy, a phenomenon that might be attributed to individual genetic variances. The role of genetic variations, specifically in sodium channels encoded by SCN1A and SCN2A genes, in influencing the effectiveness of VPA in treating epilepsy is still debated. This research focuses on examining the impact of these genetic polymorphisms on the efficacy of VPA therapy among pediatric epilepsy patients in China. METHODS: Five single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), including SCN1A (rs10188577, rs2298771, rs3812718) and SCN2A (rs2304016, rs17183814), were genotyped in 233 epilepsy patients undergoing VPA therapy. The associations between genotypes and the antiepileptic effects of VPA were assessed, with 128 patients categorized as VPA responders and 105 as VPA non-responders. RESULTS: In the context of VPA monotherapy, SCN1A rs2298771 and SCN2A rs17183814 were found to be significantly associated with VPA response (P< 0.05). CONCLUSION: Our study suggests the findings of this investigation indicate that the polymorphisms SCN1A rs2298771 and SCN2A rs17183814 could potentially act as predictive biomarkers for the responsiveness to VPA among Chinese epilepsy patients.

BACKGROUNDS: There is little evidence on the safety, efficacy, and survival benefit of restarting immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) in patients with cancer after discontinuation due to immune-related adverse events (irAEs) or progressive disease (PD). Here, we performed a meta-analysis to elucidate the possible benefits of ICI rechallenge in patients with cancer. METHODS: Systematic searches were conducted using PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases. The objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and incidence of irAEs were the outcomes of interest. RESULTS: Thirty-six studies involving 2026 patients were analyzed. ICI rechallenge was associated with a lower incidence of all-grade (OR, 0.05; 95%CI, 0.02-0.13, P < .05) and high-grade irAEs (OR, 0.37; 95%CI, 0.21-0.64, P < .05) when compared with initial ICI treatment. Though no significant difference was observed between rechallenge and initial treatment regarding ORR (OR, 0.69; 95%CI, 0.39-1.20, P = .29) and DCR (OR, 0.85; 95%CI, 0.51-1.40, P = 0.52), patients receiving rechallenge had improved PFS (HR, 0.56; 95%CI, 0.43-0.73, P < .05) and OS (HR, 0.55; 95%CI, 0.43-0.72, P < .05) than those who discontinued ICI therapy permanently. Subgroup analysis revealed that for patients who stopped initial ICI treatment because of irAEs, rechallenge showed similar safety and efficacy with initial treatment, while for patients who discontinued ICI treatment due to PD, rechallenge caused a significant increase in the incidence of high-grade irAEs (OR, 4.97; 95%CI, 1.98-12.5, P < .05) and a decrease in ORR (OR, 0.48; 95%CI, 0.24-0.95, P < .05). CONCLUSION: ICI rechallenge is generally an active and feasible strategy that is associated with relative safety, similar efficacy, and improved survival outcomes. Rechallenge should be considered individually with circumspection, and randomized controlled trials are required to confirm these findings.

BACKGROUND: Surgical site infection (SSI) is a common complication of colorectal surgery. Minimally invasive surgery notably reduces the incidence of SSI. This study aimed to compare the incidences of SSI after robot-assisted colorectal surgery (RACS) vs that after laparoscopic assisted colorectal surgery (LACS) and to analyze associated risk factors for SSI in minimally invasive colorectal surgery. AIM: To compare the incidences of SSI after RACS and LACS, and to analyze the risk factors associated with SSI after minimally invasive colorectal surgery. METHODS: Clinical data derived from patients who underwent minimally invasive colorectal surgery between October 2020 and October 2022 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University were collated. Differences in clinical characteristics and surgeryrelated information associated with RACS and LACS were compared, and possible risk factors for SSI were identified. RESULTS: A total of 246 patients (112 LACS and 134 RACS) were included in the study. Fortythree (17.5%) developed SSI. The proportions of patients who developed SSI were similar in the two groups (17.9% vs 17.2%, P = 0.887). Diabetes mellitus, intraoperative blood loss ≥ 100 mL, and incision length were independent risk factors for SSI. Possible additional risk factors included neoadjuvant therapy, lesion site, and operation time. CONCLUSION: There was no difference in SSI incidence in the RACS and LACS groups. Diabetes mellitus, intraoperative blood loss ≥ 100 mL, and incision length were independent risk factors for postoperative SSI.

Peracetic acid (PAA) has garnered significant attention as a novel disinfectant owing to its remarkable oxidative capacity and minimal potential to generate byproducts. In this study, we prepared a novel catalyst, denoted as cobalt modified nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes (Co@N-CNTs), and evaluated it for PAA activation. Modification with cobalt nanoparticles (∼4.8 nm) changed the morphology and structure of the carbon nanotubes, and greatly improved their ability to activate PAA. Co@N-CNTs/PAA catalytic system shows outstanding catalytic degradation ability of antiviral drugs. Under neutral conditions, with a dosage of 0.05 g/L Co@N-CNT-9.8 and 0.25 mM PAA, the removal efficiency of acyclovir (ACV) reached 98.3% within a mere 10 min. The primary reactive species responsible for effective pollutant degradation were identified as acetylperoxyl radicals (CH3C(O)OO•) and acetyloxyl radicals (CH3C(O)O•). In addition, density functional theory (DFT) proved that Co nanoparticles, as the main catalytic sites, were more likely to adsorb PAA and transfer more electrons than N-doped graphene. This study explored the feasibility of PAA degradation of antiviral drugs in sewage, and provided new insights for the application of heterogeneous catalytic PAA in environmental remediation.

OBJECTIVE: There has been some confusion in earlier research on the connection between thyroid function and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). This research is aimed to probe into the correlation between thyroid condition and the risk of PCOS from a new standpoint of thyroid hormone sensitivity. METHODS: This research comprised 415 females with PCOS from Drum Tower Hospital Affiliated with the Medical School of Nanjing University, and 137 non-PCOS individuals were selected as the normal control. Based on free thyroxine (FT4), free triiodothyronine (FT3), and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), we calculated the thyroid hormone sensitivity indices, which consist of Thyroid Feedback Quantile-based Index (TFQI), Thyroid-stimulating Hormone Index (TSHI), Thyrotroph Thyroxine Resistance Index (TT4RI) and Free Triiodothyronine /Free thyroxine (FT3/FT4). The binary logistic regression model was adopted to investigate the correlation between thyroid hormone sensitivity indices with the risk of PCOS. Pearson or Spearman correlation analysis was employed to explore the association among thyroid-related measures with metabolic parameters in PCOS. RESULTS: Results of this research showed that females with PCOS had rising TFQI, TSHI, TT4RI, and FT3/FT4 levels compared with the control group. After adjustment for the impact of various covariates, there was no significant correlation between FT3/FT4 and the risk of PCOS; However, the odds ratio of the third and fourth vs. the first quartile of TFQI were 3.57(95% confidence interval [CI]:1.08,11.87) and 4.90(95% CI:1.38,17.38) respectively; The odds ratio of the fourth vs. the first quartile of TSHI was 5.35(95% CI:1.48,19.37); The odds ratio of the second vs. the first quartile of TT4RI was 0.27(95%CI 0.09,0.82). In addition, no significant correlation was observed between thyroid-related measures and metabolic measures in females with PCOS. CONCLUSIONS: A reduction in the sensitivity of central thyroid hormone is closely correlated with a higher risk of PCOS. Further research is necessary to corroborate our findings and the supporting mechanisms.

A new detection platform based on a hydroxylated covalent organic framework (COF) integrated with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) was constructed and used for detecting adrenergic receptor agonists (ARAs) residues in milk. The hydroxylated COF was prepared by polymerization of tris(4-aminophenyl)amine and 1,3,5-tris(4-formyl-3-hydroxyphenyl)benzene and applied to solid-phase extraction (SPE) of ARAs. This hydroxylated COF was featured with hierarchical flower-like morphology, easy preparation, and copious active adsorption sites. The adsorption model fittings and molecular simulation were applied to explore the potential adsorption mechanism. This detection platform was suitable for detecting four α2- and five ß2-ARAs residues in milk. The linear ranges of the ARAs were from 0.25 to 50 µg·kg-1; the intra-day and the inter-day repeatability were in the range 2.9-7.9% and 2.0-10.1%, respectively. This work demonstrates this hydroxylated COF has great potential as SPE cartridge packing, and provides a new way to determine ARAs residues in milk.

The copper-modified tubular carbon nitride (CTCN) with higher specific surface area and pore volume was prepared by a simple in-situ hydrolysis and self-assembly. Increased ∼4.7-fold and ∼2.3-fold degradation rate for a representative refractory water pollutant (Ibuprofen, IBP) were achieved with low-energy light source (LED, 420 ± 10 nm), as compared to graphitic carbon nitride (GCN) and tubular carbon nitride (TCN), respectively. The high efficiency of IBP removal was supported by narrow band gap (2.15 eV), high photocurrent intensity (1.10 µA/cm2) and the high surface -OH group (14.75 µg/cm3) of CTCN. According to analysis of the various reactive species in the degradation, the superoxide radical (•O2-) played a dominant role, followed by •OH and h+, responsible for IBP degradation. Furthermore, Fukui functions were employed to predict the active sites of IBP, and combined with the HPLC-MS/MS results, possible mechanisms and pathways for photocatalytic degradation were indicated. This study will lay an important scientific foundation and a possible new approach for the treatment of emerging aromatic organic pollutants in visible-light-driven heterogeneous catalytic oxidation environment.

BACKGROUND: The effect of age, sex, and eastern cooperative oncology group performance status (ECOG PS) on the efficacy and safety of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy among hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients remains elusive. Thus, a meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate whether such effects exist. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS: Eligible studies in PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases were retrieved. RESULTS: One-hundred-and-eleven studies involving 14,768 HCC patients were included. The findings indicated that the ECOG PS didn't have a significant effect on the ORR and PFS in ICI-treated HCC patients (higher ECOG PS vs. lower ECOG PS: ORR: OR = 0.78, 95%CI = 0.55-1.10; PFS: HR = 1.15, 95%CI = 0.97-1.35), while those patients with a higher ECOG PS may have a worse OS (HR = 1.52, 95% CI = 1.26-1.84). There is no significant evidence of the effect of age (older vs. younger) or sex (males vs. females) on the efficacy of ICI therapy in HCC. CONCLUSION: ICI therapy in HCC should not be restricted strictly to certain patients in age or sex categories, while HCC patients with higher ECOG PS may require closer medication or follow-up strategy during ICI therapy. BACKGROUND AND AIM: The purpose of the current study was to investigate the predictive value of hepatitis B core-related antigen (HBcrAg) on the occurrence and recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB). METHODS: We searched PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and Web of Science from database inception to April 6, 2023. Pooled hazard ratio (HR) or odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) was calculated for the occurrence and recurrence of HCC. RESULTS: Of the 464 articles considered, 18 articles recruiting 10 320 patients were included. The pooled results showed that high serum HBcrAg level was an independent risk factor for the occurrence of HCC in CHB patients (adjusted HR = 3.12, 95% CI: 2.40-4.06, P < 0.001, I2 = 43.2%, P = 0.043; OR = 5.65, 95% CI: 3.44-5.82, P < 0.001, I2 = 0.00%, P = 0.42). Further subgroup analysis demonstrated that the predictive ability of HBcrAg for the occurrence of HCC is not influenced by the hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg) status or the use of nucleoside/nucleotide analogs (NAs). In addition, our meta-analysis also suggests that HBcrAg is a predictor of HCC recurrence (adjusted HR = 1.71, 95% CI: 1.26-2.32, P < 0.001, I2 = 7.89%, P = 0.031). CONCLUSIONS: For patients with CHB, serum HBcrAg may be a potential predictive factor for the occurrence of HCC, regardless of HBeAg status or NA treatment. It may also serve as a novel prognostic biomarker for the recurrence of HCC. More studies are needed to confirm our conclusions.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the time course of cardiac rupture (CR) after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and the differences among different rupture types. Method: We retrospectively analyzed 145 patients with CR after AMI at Shanxi Cardiovascular Hospital from June 2016 to September 2022. Firstly, according to the time from onset of chest pain to CR, the patients were divided into early CR (≤24 h) (n = 61 patients) and late CR (>24 h) (n = 75 patients) to explore the difference between early CR and late CR. Secondly, according to the type of CR, the patients were divided into free wall rupture (FWR) (n = 55) and ventricular septal rupture (VSR) (n = 90) to explore the difference between FWR and VSR. Results: Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that high white blood cell count (OR = 1.134, 95% CI: 1.019-1.260, P = 0.021), low creatinine (OR = 0.991, 95% CI: 0.982-0.999, P = 0.026) were independently associated with early CR. In addition, rapid heart rate (OR = 1.035, 95% CI: 1.009-1.061, P = 0.009), low systolic blood pressure (OR = 0.981, 95% CI: 0.962-1.000, P = 0.048), and anterior myocardial infarction (OR = 5.989, 95% CI: 1.978-18.136, P = 0.002) were independently associated with VSR. Conclusion: In patients with CR, high white blood cell count and low creatinine were independently associated with early CR, rapid heart rate, low systolic blood pressure, and anterior myocardial infarction were independently associated with VSR.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of edible gum addition on moisture changes in freeze-dried restructured strawberry blocks (FRSB), which involved five groups: the control, 1.2% guar gum, 1.2% gelatin, 1.2% pectin, and the composite group with 0.5% guar gum, 0.5% gelatin, and 0.45% pectin. The results indicated that the drying rates of the five groups of FRSB presented similar early acceleration and later deceleration trends. Moisture content in FRSB was linearly predicted by peak area of low field nuclear magnetic resonance with R2 higher than 0.90 for all the five groups. The FRSB samples in the gelatin and composition groups formed a denser porous structure and had a lower hygroscopicity after four days of storage. This study provides a theoretical basis for controlling the processing of FRSB.

Gastric ulcer, a significant health issue characterized by the degradation of the gastric mucosa, often arises from excessive gastric acid secretion and poses a challenge in current medical treatments due to the limited efficacy and side effects of first-line drugs. Addressing this, our study develops a novel therapeutic strategy leveraging gas therapy, specifically targeting the release of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in the treatment of gastric ulcers. We successfully developed a composite nanoparticle, named BSA·SH-DATS, through a two-step process. Initially, bovine serum albumin (BSA) was sulfhydrated to generate BSA·SH nanoparticles via a mercaptosylation method. Subsequently, these nanoparticles were further functionalized by incorporating diallyltrisulfide (DATS) through a precise Michael addition reaction. This sequential modification resulted in the creation of BSA·SH-DATS nanoparticles. Our comprehensive in vitro and in vivo investigations demonstrate that these nanoparticles possess an exceptional ability for site-specific action on gastric mucosal cells under the controlled release of H2S in response to endogenous glutathione (GSH), markedly diminishing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, thereby alleviating inflammation and apoptosis. Moreover, the BSA·SH-DATS nanoparticles effectively regulate critical inflammatory proteins, including NF-κB and Caspase-3. Our study underscores their potential as a transformative approach for gastric ulcer treatment.
