[The antioxidant status of children with congenital cleft lip and (or) palate]. / Antioksidantnyi status detei s vrozhdennymi rasshchelinami guby i (ili) neba.

Lipid peroxidation (LPO) parameters, Schiff's bases and diene conjugates (DC), as well as endogenous antioxidant system parameters, blood serum alpha-tocopherol were examined in 22 children with cleft lips and/or palates and their parents. DC LPO processes were found intensified in both children and their parents. Various DC levels were detected in probands: normal in 4 and significantly elevated (p less than 0.001) in 18 children. A group of children with intensified LPO processes and a reduced level of endogenous antioxidant activity was distinguished, that appears to be a risk group in respect of postoperative complications and therefore is in need of adequate preoperative antioxidant correcting therapy.

[The effect of the antioxidant potassium fenozan on the course of acute alcoholic intoxication]. / Vliianie antioksidanta fenozana kaliia na techenie ostroi alkogol'noi intoksikatsii.

A screening of antialcohol effect of potassium phenosane has been carried out. A modification of test for alcohol intoxication has been proposed. Potassium phenosane was found to possess antialcoholic properties in different doses (0.01, 2.5, and 5 mg/kg).

[Mechanisms of the hemodynamic effects of nonachlazine in ischemic heart disease patients]. / K voprosu o mekhanizmakh gemodinamicheskikh éffektov nonakhlazina u bol'nykh ishemicheskoi bolezn'iu serdtsa.

During course therapy with nonachlazine of patients with ischemic heart disease, stable angina pectoris a negative inotropic effect of the drug in persons with eukinetic and in particular hyperkinetic type of hemodynamics was revealed. Enhancement of beta-adrenoblocking effect of nonachlazine with an increase of its daily dose was found. Nonachlazine effect on hemodynamic parameters was shown to be mediated through adrenoreactive structures.

[Prognosis of the effectiveness of hypotensive therapy]. / O prognozirovanii éffektivnosti gipotenzivnoi terapii.

Based on the data obtained in acute clinico-pharmacological tests with 0.075 mg hemiton, 250 mg dopegyt and 40 mg anaprilin in patients with stage II essential hypertension a system of predicting the efficacy of hypotensive therapy has been designed. It has been established that the hypotensive effects of the indicated drugs can be predicted with the aid of the system not only under the conditions of acute clinico-pharmacological tests but also during treatment given in courses.

[Comparative evaluation of the vasodilator effect of kurantil and no-spa in population and twin studies]. / K sravnitel'noi ostenke sosudorasshiriaiushchego éffekta kurantila i no-shpy v populiatsionnykh i bliznetsovykh issledovaniiakh.

Based on the results of acute clinical and pharmacological tests with 10 mg curantyl and 40 mg no-spa in 55 patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) and 14 pairs of monozygote twins curantyl was discovered to make the central and peripheral hemodynamics return to normal during CHD. The vasodilative effects of curantyl and no-spa on the skeletal muscles were not basically different in the population groups indicated.

[System of methodological approaches to assessing and predicting the hemodynamic effects of hypotensive and antianginal agents]. / Sistema metodicheskikh podkhodov k otsenke i prognozirovaniiu gemodinamicheskikh éffektov gipotenzivnykh i antianginal'nykh sredstv.

A system of the methodological approaches to the assessment and prediction of hemodynamic effects of hypotensive and antianginal agents is proposed. The system includes the clinical and pharmacological tests in the population and twin studies with the use of the "partner control method", thereby allowing a comparative evaluation of the efficacy of the cardiovascular agents, prediction of their hemodynamic effects, and appraisal of the contribution of genetic and environmental factors to phenotypic variability of these effects.

[Analysis of the role of genetic and environmental factors in predicting therapeutic effectiveness in arterial hypertension]. / Analiz roli geneticheskikh i sredovykh faktorov v prognozivoraniia éffektivnosti terapii arterial'noi gipertonii.

The method of canonic correlation revealed three predictors of the efficacy of treatment in acute clinical pharmacological tests for preparations of anaprilin, hemiton and dopegit according o the values of systolic and diastolic arterial pressure, rate of cardiac contractions during the primary clinical examination and the gain in the patient's weight. Appraisal of the relative role of genetic and environmental factors in prognosing the efficacy of a drug showed that the genetic factors have the highest effect in prognosing the efficacy of dopegit and the least effect in predicting the efficacy of anaprilin.
