ABSTRACT
Under the conditions of these experiments, media prepared with legumes, milk, egg or egg yolk, M. phlei, or various combinations of these ingredients, failed to promotore growth of the acid fast bacilli from lepromas or the bloods of leprous patients. Neither was growth of these organisms obtained with minced chick embryo medium, Corper's potato medium, dextrose brain broth, or dextrose brain semisolid agar.
