ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: To analyze nurses' perspectives on nurses' work methods in the hospital context. METHODS: A descriptive study with a qualitative approach was conducted in a hospital in northern Portugal, involving 17 nurses. Semi-structured interviews were used for data collection. Data collected between May and June 2023 underwent content analysis, supported by Atlas.ti software. RESULTS: Three thematic areas emerged: "Nurses' work methods in a hospital context," highlighting the conception and components of work methods and the methods in use; "Implementation of nurses' work methods," emphasizing influencing factors and challenges to implementation; and "Impact of nurses' work methods on patients, nurses, and institutions." FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: Nurses' work methods constitute the structure of nursing care. Some factors influence and some challenges arise in the implementation of these methods, producing impacts on patients, nurses, and institutions.

Métodos: Estudio descriptivo con abordaje cualitativa, realizado en un hospital del norte de Portugal, con participación de 17 enfermeros. Como instrumento de recolecta de datos, recorrido a la entrevista semiestructurada. Datos recolectados entre mayo e junio de 2023, pasaron por análisis de contenido, con suporte del software Atlas.ti. Resultados: Emergieron tres áreas temáticas: "Métodos de trabajo de enfermeros en contexto hospitalario", destacándose la concepción y componentes de métodos de trabajo y en uso; "Implementación de métodos de trabajo", señalándose factores influenciadores y desafíos a la implementación; e "Impacto de métodos de trabajo de enfermeros para los pacientes, enfermeros e instituciones". Consideraciones Finales: Los métodos de trabajo constituidos como la estructura de asistencia de enfermería. Hay factores que influencian y desafíos que se quedan a la implementación de esos métodos, produciendo impacto en pacientes, enfermeros e instituciones.


RESUMO Objetivos: Analisar a percepção dos enfermeiros sobre os métodos de trabalho em enfermagem no contexto hospitalar. Métodos: Estudo descritivo com abordagem qualitativa, realizado num hospital do norte de Portugal, com participação de 17 enfermeiros. Como instrumento de coleta de dados, recorreu se à entrevista semiestruturada. Os dados, recolhidos entre maio e junho de 2023, passaram por análise de conteúdo, com suporte do software Atlas.ti. Resultados: Emergiram três áreas temáticas: "Métodos de trabalho dos enfermeiros em contexto hospitalar", destacando-se a concepção e componentes dos métodos de trabalho e os métodos em uso; "Implementação dos métodos de trabalho", salientando-se fatores influenciadores e desafios à implementação; e "Impacto dos métodos de trabalho dos enfermeiros para os pacientes, enfermeiros e instituições". Considerações Finais: Os métodos de trabalho constituem-se como a estrutura da assistência de enfermagem. Existem fatores que influenciam e desafios que se colocam à implementação desses métodos, produzindo impacto nos pacientes, enfermeiros e instituições.

Objetivo: caracterizar el perfil sociofamiliar de niños y adolescentes negros con problemas de salud mental y describir desde un enfoque interseccional quién es responsable de su cuidado. Método: estudio exploratorio descriptivo de enfoque cualitativo, llevado a cabo en un Centro de Atención Psicosocial Infantil y Juvenil de la región norte del municipio de São Paulo. La recolección de datos se realizó con 47 familiares de niños y adolescentes negros, con el soporte de un guion con variables predefinidas, sometidas a análisis estadístico. Resultados: se realizaron 49 entrevistas, 95,5% con mujeres, con edad promedio de 39 años, 88,6% madres, 85,7% negras. La renta familiar procede del salario para el 100% de los cuidadores hombres y el 59% de las mujeres. Entre las cuidadoras negras, 25% tienen casa propia y, entre las pardas, 46,2%. Del total de cuidadores, el 10% vive en casas ocupadas, el 20% vive en viviendas cedidas, el 35% tiene casa propia y el 35% alquila. La red de contención social es mayor entre los blancos (16,7%), seguidos por los pardos (3,8%) y está ausente entre los negros (0%). Conclusión: las responsables por el cuidado de niños y e adolescentes negros atendidos en el CAPSij, son, casi en su totalidad mujeres, "madres o abuelas" negras (o mulatas), con acceso desigual a educación, trabajo y vivienda, derechos sociales constitucionales en Brasil.

Conclusion: those responsible for the care of black-skinned children and adolescents monitored by the CAPS-IJ are almost entirely women, black-skinned (black or brown) "mothers or grandmothers", with unequal access to education, work and housing, constitutional social rights in Brazil.

Método: estudo descritivo exploratório de abordagem quantitativa, desenvolvido em um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Infantojuvenil da região norte do município de São Paulo. Os dados foram coletados com 47 familiares de crianças e adolescentes negros, utilizando um roteiro com variáveis pré-definidas, submetidas à análise estatística. Resultados: foram realizadas 49 entrevistas, sendo 95,5% com mulheres, média de idade de 39 anos, 88,6% mães, 85,7% negras. A renda familiar é proveniente de salário, para 100% dos cuidadores homens e para 59% das mulheres. Dentre as cuidadoras pretas, 25% possuem casa própria, sendo que, dentre as pardas, 46,2%. Do total de cuidadores, 10% vivem em condições de ocupação, 20% habitam moradias cedidas, 35% casas próprias e 35% alugadas. A rede social de suporte é maior entre os brancos (16,7%), seguido pelos pardos (3,8%) e ausente entre os pretos (0%). Conclusão: as responsáveis pelo cuidado de crianças e adolescentes negros acompanhados pelo CAPSij, são na quase totalidade mulheres, "mães ou avós" negras (pretas ou pardas), com acesso desigual à educação, trabalho e moradia, direitos sociais constitucionais no Brasil.

ABSTRACT

Measuring the quality of care received by patients of mental health services is necessary to determine the effectiveness of prevention programs and mental health treatment. This study translated the original Swedish Quality in Psychiatric Care-Outpatient (QPC-OP) instrument to Brazilian Portuguese, adapted it to the context of Brazilian psychosocial care centers (CAPS), and evaluated its psychometric properties. The instrument was translated and back-translated by two independent professional translators. A seven-person expert group of professionals and 31 psychiatric outpatients verified the content validity of the Brazilian Portuguese QPC-OP, which then was completed by 253 outpatients from 16 CAPS in São Paulo, Brazil. Confirmatory factor analysis revealed adequate goodness of fit for the factor structure corresponding to the original Swedish version, except for the discharge dimension. Three additional items added in the Brazilian Portuguese QPC-OP formed a separate factor. The internal consistency of the entire scale was excellent but low in some dimensions. In conclusion, the translation and cultural adaptation of the Brazilian Portuguese QPC-OP was satisfactory, and the psychometric evaluation demonstrated that the concept of quality of mental health care is similarly understood in the Brazilian and Swedish cultural context. Thus, the Brazilian Portuguese QPC-OP is a useful instrument for assessing the quality of care in the Brazilian CAPS context and will be useful in quality assurance and in cross-cultural research addressing quality of mental health care from the patient's perspective.

A literature review was previously undertaken to design the scale. The content validation was carried out by 23 experts. RESULTS: The initial version consisted of 40 items organized in four work methods identified in the literature. In the first dimension, from ten items, seven were considered, and one was reformulated. Seven of the initial ten items were considered in the second version. The third dimension consisted of seven items. In the fourth dimension, three items were reformulated, and three were excluded, leaving seven items. The final version ended with 28 items, whose Content Validity Index ranged between 0.83 and 1. CONCLUSIONS: The involvement of experts has become pivotal in the development and validation of the items, providing confidence to the continuity of psychometric procedures.

La primera dimensión, de diez items, fueron considerados siete y uno fue reformulado. La segunda, de diez iniciales, fueron considerados siete. La tercera dimensión constituída por siete ítems. La cuarta dimensión, reformulados tres y excluidos tres, quedando siete. La versión final quedó con 28 items, cuyo Índice de Validez de Contenido osciló entre 0,83 y 1. Resultados: A versão inicial continha 40 itens, organizados nos quatro métodos de trabalho identificados na literatura. Na primeira dimensão, dos dez itens, foram considerados sete e um foi reformulado. Na segunda, dos dez iniciais, foram considerados sete. A terceira dimensão constituiu-se por sete itens. Na quarta dimensão, reformularam-se três e excluíram-se três, ficando sete. A versão final ficou com 28 itens, cujo Índice de Validade de Conteúdo oscilou entre 0,83 e 1. Conclusões: Recorrer aos peritos tornou-se fundamental na construção e validação dos itens, conferindo segurança à continuidade dos procedimentos psicométricos.

ABSTRACT

The analysis of sociodemographic and emotional factors is essential to understanding how men perceive stress and practice self-compassion. In health crises, this problem becomes an emergency for public health. This study aimed to analyze the influence of sociodemographic and emotional factors on the relationship between self-compassion and the perceived stress of men residing in Brazil during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a nationwide cross-sectional study carried out between June and December 2020 with 1006 men who completed a semi-structured electronic questionnaire. Data were collected using the snowball technique. Perceived stress was measured by the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-14), and self-compassion was assessed using the Self-Compassion Scale. Most men had low self-compassion (51.5%; n = 516) and a moderate level of perceived stress (60.9%; n = 613), while 15.9% (n = 170) had a high level of stress. The prevalence of men in the combined situation of low self-compassion and high perceived stress was 39.4% (n = 334). Living with friends had a higher prevalence of low self-compassion and high perceived stress. The prevalence of common mental disorders was high (54.3%). Men with low levels of self-compassion reported higher levels of perceived stress; however, this association was moderated by emotional and sociodemographic variables. These findings highlight the importance of considering individual and contextual factors in public policies promoting men's mental health.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To recognize the actions related to race/color developed in the care process of the black child and adolescent population of a Psychosocial Care Center for children and adolescents in Brazil. METHOD: This is a study with a qualitative approach focusing on the three-dimensional racism framework. Data were collected through active medical records and interviews with reference professionals. The results were categorized and thematized through content analysis and the following themes were found: typology of child violence, identification of racism, the school, access to black culture and representativeness. This study obtained ethical approval. RESULTS: The race/color question in the face of violation of fundamental rights of black children/adolescents contributes to the understanding of racism as a social determinant of mental health. Actions to empower the black population include the insertion of the race-color question as an analytical and procedural category in the Singular Therapeutic Projects, as an integral practice of multiprofessional teams work process. CONCLUSION: It is necessary to invest persistently in the identification and qualification of actions and systematic discussions to face the psychosocial effects of racism.

Método: Investigación de abordaje cualitativo con enfoque en el referencial del racismo tridimensional. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de los historiales activos y entrevistas con profesionales de referencia. Los resultados fueron categorizados y tematizados por medio de análisis de contenido y se hallaron los siguientes temas: tipología de la violencia infantil, identificación del racismo, la escuela, acceso a la cultura negra y representatividad. Este estudio obtuvo aprobación ética. Resultados: La cuestión raza/color frente a la violación de derechos fundamentales del niño/adolescente negro contribuye para la comprensión del racismo como determinante social de salud mental. Las acciones de empoderamiento de la población negra abarcan la inserción de la cuestión raza/color como categoría analítica y procesual en los Proyectos Terapéuticos Singulares, como práctica integrante del proceso de trabajo de los equipos multiprofesionales. Conclusión: Es necesario invertir persistentemente en la identificación y en la cualificación de acciones y debates sistemáticos para enfrentar los efectos psicosociales del racismo.


RESUMO Objetivo: Reconhecer as ações relacionadas ao quesito raça/cor desenvolvidas no processo de cuidado da população infantojuvenil negra de um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial infantojuvenil no Brasil. Método: Pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa com enfoque no referencial do racismo tridimensional. Os dados foram coletados por meio dos prontuários ativos e entrevistas com profissionais de referência. Os resultados foram categorizados e tematizados por meio de análise de conteúdo e encontraram-se os seguintes temas: tipologia da violência infantil, identificação do racismo, a escola, acesso à cultura negra e representatividade. Este estudo obteve aprovação ética. Resultados: O quesito raça/cor frente à violação de direitos fundamentais da criança/adolescente negro contribui para a compreensão do racismo enquanto determinante social de saúde mental. As ações de empoderamento da população negra perpassam pela inserção do quesito raça-cor como categoria analítica e processual nos Projetos Terapêuticos Singulares, como prática integrante do processo de trabalho das equipes multiprofissionais. Conclusão: É preciso investir persistentemente na identificação e na qualificação de ações e discussões sistemáticas para enfrentar os efeitos psicossociais do racismo.

ABSTRACT

O objetivo deste trabalho é identificar estratégias utilizadas por uma equipe de um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Infantojuvenil (Capsij) na assistência a crianças e adolescentes pretos e pardos com problemas de saúde. Seus pressupostos apoiaram-se no vasto campo de estudos das relações raciais, paradigma pelo qual são feitas também as análises. Participaram 18 trabalhadores do Capsij - Brasilândia; as entrevistas foram guiadas por um questionário semiestruturado e a análise temática para interpretação dos dados foi organizado tendo raça/cor como categoria analítica. Os resultados mostram que cuidado a crianças e adolescentes que manifestam sofrimentos pela vivência do racismo, ou que o tem como uma dimensão importante, demanda do profissional espaços de sensibilização, informação e letramento para as formações raciais, assim como convoca a elaboração de estratégias de enfrentamento ao racismo institucional, sobretudo em perspectiva intersetorial.(AU)


Identificar estrategias utilizadas por un equipo de un Centro de Atención Psicosocial infantojuvenil (CAPSij) en la asistencia a niños y adolescentes negros y mulatos con problemas de salud. Las presuposiciones de este trabajo se apoyaron en el vasto campo de estudios de las relaciones raciales, paradigma a partir del cual se realizan también los análisis. Participaron 18 trabajadores del CAPSij - Brasilândia; las entrevistas fueron guiadas por un cuestionario semiestructurado y el análisis temático para la interpretación de los datos se estructuró teniendo raza/color como categoría analítica. Los resultados muestran que el cuidado a niños y adolescentes que manifiestan sufrimientos por la vivencia del racismo, o que lo tienen como una dimensión importante, demanda del profesional espacios de sensibilización, información y aprendizaje para las formaciones raciales, así como convoca la elaboración de estrategias de enfrentamiento al racismo institucional, sobre todo en perspectiva intersectorial.(AU)


The study aimed to identify strategies used by a team of a Psychosocial Care Center (CAPSij) to assist black and brown children and adolescents with health problems. The assumptions of the study were supported by the vast field of studies on race relations, the paradigm that also underpinned the analyses. Eighteen workers from the Brasilândia CAPSij were interviewed. The interviews were guided by a semi-structured questionnaire and the thematic analysis for data interpretation was structured having race/color as the analytical category. The results showed that the provision of care for children and adolescents who express suffering due to the experience of racism, or who have it as an important dimension, demands, of the professional, spaces for awareness, information and literacy regarding racial formations. In addition, it calls for the development of strategies to combat institutional racism, especially in an intersectoral perspective.(AU)

Objetivo: Realizar um censo dos cursos de graduação em Enfermagem em instituições de Ensino Superior brasileiras, segundo credenciamento presencial e à distância. Método: Estudo de abordagem quantitativa, de base documental, do tipo analítico-descritivo, que utilizou dados sobre os cursos de Enfermagem brasileiros do portal e-MEC e das páginas destes, nos sites das IES. Resultados: Dos 1.668 cursos de Enfermagem brasileiros, 105 (6,29%) eram EAD e 1.563 (93,70%) presenciais. Todos os cursos EAD eram privados. Vale ressaltar que, dos 105 cursos EAD localizados, 50 se autodenominavam semipresenciais. Discussões: Na Enfermagem, profissão que essencialmente envolve o cuidado humano, questiona-se a qualidade de educação, que o ensino à distância oferece. Conclusões: Existem questionamentos com relação à qualidade da educação empregada pelo EAD que, por ser aplicada fora do ambiente palpável e observável de prática, coloca em xeque a confiabilidade da metodologia de formação, bem como a competência dos profissionais formados. Objective: To carry out a census of undergraduate nursing courses in Brazilian Higher Education institutions, according to face-to-face and distance accreditation. Methods: Study of quantitative approach, based on documents, analytical-descriptive type, which used data on Brazilian Nursing courses from the e-MEC portal and their pages, on the websites of the HEIs. Results: Of the 1,668 Brazilian nursing courses, 105 (6.29%) were distance learning and 1,563 (93.70%) in person. All distance learning courses were private. It is worth mentioning that, of the 105 distance learning courses located, 50 called themselves semi-presential. In Nursing, a profession that essentially involves human care, the quality of education that distance learning offers is questioned. Conclusion: There are questions regarding the quality of education employed by EAD, which, being applied outside the palpable and observable environment of practice, puts in check the reliability of the training methodology, as well as the competence of the trained professionals. Conclusion: Existen interrogantes sobre la calidad de la educación empleada por EAD, que al ser aplicada fuera del ámbito de práctica palpable y observable, pone en jaque la confiabilidad de la metodología de formación, así como la competencia de los profesionales capacitados. ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the relationships between sociodemographic variables, intolerance to uncertainty (INT), social support, and psychological distress (i.e., indicators of Common Mental Disorders (CMDs) and perceived stress (PS)) in Brazilian men during the COVID-19 pandemic. METHODS: A cross-sectional study with national coverage, of the web survey type, and conducted with 1006 Brazilian men during the period of social circulation restriction imposed by the health authorities in Brazil for suppression of the coronavirus and control of the pandemic. Structural equation modeling analysis was performed. RESULTS: Statistically significant direct effects of race/skin color (λ = 0.268; p-value < 0.001), socioeconomic status (SES) (λ = 0.306; p-value < 0.001), household composition (λ = 0.281; p-value < 0.001), PS (λ = 0.513; p-value < 0.001), and INT (λ = 0.421; p-value < 0.001) were evidenced in the occurrence of CMDs. Black-skinned men with higher SES, living alone, and with higher PS and INT levels presented higher prevalence values of CMDs. CONCLUSIONS: High levels of PS and INT were the factors that presented the strongest associations with the occurrence of CMDs among the men. It is necessary to implement actions to reduce the stress-generating sources as well as to promote an increase in resilience and the development of intrinsic reinforcements to deal with uncertain threats.

ABSTRACT

Resumo O artigo apresenta a metodologia de construção de um painel de indicadores para monitoramento e avaliação da implementação da Política Nacional de Saúde Integral da População Negra (PNSIPN). A metodologia foi desenvolvida em quatro etapas: identificação do cenário, contexto da implementação, indicadores da PNSIPN e validação dos indicadores. Em todas as etapas participaram os proponentes da Política, burocratas de nível de rua, assessores técnicos dos colegiados de representação de gestores, representantes dos movimentos sociais, de associações e fóruns de patologias. Esses atores identificaram e pactuaram os indicadores do painel, categorizados em indicadores de enfrentamento ao racismo; indicadores das condições sociodemográficas segundo sexo, faixa etária e raça/cor; e indicadores de morbidade e mortalidade segundo sexo, faixa etária e raça/cor. O painel de indicadores para o monitoramento e análise da implementação da PNSIPN é viável e pode ser utilizado em nível municipal, estadual e federal, possivelmente subsidiando o processo de implementação e possibilitando o aprimoramento da gestão. A metodologia contribui para identificar indicadores de políticas públicas destinadas à garantia dos direitos humanos, da vigilância de direitos e da advocacy.


Abstract The article presents the methodology used in building a panel of indicators for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the National Policy for the Integrative Health of the Black Population (PNSIPN). The methodology was developed in four stages: scenario identification, implementation context, PNSIPN indicators and validation of the indicators. The proponents of the policy, street-level bureaucrats, technical advisors of the collegiate representing the managers, representatives of social movements, of associations and forums of pathologies participated in every stage. Those actors identified and agreed on the panel's indicators, which have been categorized into indicators of coping with racism; indicators of sociodemographic conditions according to gender, age and race/color; and indicators of morbidity and mortality according to gender, age and race/color. The indicator panel for monitoring and evaluating the PNSIPN implementation is feasible and can be used at municipal, state and federal levels, possibly subsidizing the implementation process and enabling the improvement of management. The methodology contributes to the identification of indicators for public policies aimed at guaranteeing human rights, rights surveillance and advocacy.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze perceptions of the Family Health Strategy (FHS) professional team about mental health-disorder and to identify health actions developed by the team for people with mental disorders. Method: a qualitative study of a Marxist theoretical framework and a dialectical method. 99 FHS middle and higher level professionals from São Paulo participated. Semi-structured interviews were conducted. Data were submitted to ALCESTE software and Thematic Content Analysis. Results: there were three empirical categories: Training in Mental Health; Perception of the FHS professional about mental health-disorder; and Health actions developed by the FHS team with people with mental disorders. Actions that converge and diverge from the psychosocial care model were identified. Final considerations: there is an effort from professionals to work according to the psychosocial care model, but it is necessary to invest in the Permanent Education in Health of these professionals to overcome barriers and foster successful territorial actions.


RESUMEN Objetivo: analizar las percepciones del equipo de profesionales de la Estrategia Salud de la Familia (ESF) acerca del proceso salud-enfermedad mental e identificar las acciones de salud desarrolladas por el equipo para las personas con trastorno mental. Método: estudio cualitativo, con referencial teórico marxista y método dialéctico. Participaron 99 profesionales de nivel medio y superior de la ESF, de la ciudad de São Paulo. Fueron realizadas entrevistas semiestructuradas, cuyos fueron sometidos al software ALCESTE y al Análisis de Contenido Temático. Resultados: se obtuvieron tres categorías empíricas: Entrenamiento en Salud Mental; Percepción del profesional de la ESF acerca del proceso de salud-enfermedad mental; y Acciones de salud desarrolladas por el equipo de ESF junto a las personas con trastorno mental. Se identificaron acciones que convergen y divergen del modelo de atención psicosocial. Consideraciones finales: hay un esfuerzo de los profesionales para trabajar de acuerdo con el modelo de atención psicosocial, pero hace necesario invertir en la educación permanente en salud de esos profesionales para superar barreras y fomentar acciones territoriales exitosas.

Objetivos: identificar e analisar os processos de exclusão e inclusão social que acontecem na família da pessoa com transtorno mental. Método: utilizou-se a abordagem qualitativa como metodologia de pesquisa. Os sujeitos desta investigação foram 17 usuários de um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial, da cidade de São Paulo, e 12 pessoas de sua rede social. Para a coleta de dados foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas e, para apuração dos dados, foi utilizada a análise do discurso. Resultados: identificou-se que a exclusão social dos usuários na família pode ocorrer pela ruptura e distanciamento ou de uma maneira mais sutil. Porém, na medida em que os usuários são valorizados e encontraram um papel na família, se estabelecem relações de troca e de ajuda mútua. Conclusão: os relacionamentos se constroem em um processo dialético, passando por conflitos e situações de reciprocidade


Objectives: to identify and to analyze the processes of social exclusion and inclusion that happen in the family of the person with mental disorder. Method: qualitative approach was used as a research methodology. Subjects of this investigation were 17 users of a Psychosocial Care Center, in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, in addition to 12 people from their social networks. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were realizes and, for data analysis, it was the discourse analysis technique. Results: Social exclusion of users of a Psychosocial Care Center in the family can occur due to social disruption and distance, or in a more subtle way. However, to the extent that users are valued and find a role in the family, relationships of exchange and mutual help are established. Conclusion: relationships are developed in a dialectical process, going through conflicts and situations of reciprocity, with the family being the main social inclusion network of these people.


Objetivos: identificar y analizar los procesos de exclusión e inclusión social que ocurren en la familia de la persona con trastorno mental. Método:se utilizó el enfoque cualitativo como metodología de investigación. Las personas de esta investigación fueron 17 usuarios de un Centro de Atención Psicosocial, en la ciudad de São Paulo, Brasil, además de 12 personas de sus redes sociales. Para la recopilación de datos, se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas y, para el análisis de datos, fue la técnica de análisis del discurso. Resultados: la exclusión social de los usuarios de un Centro de Atención Psicosocial en la familia puede ocurrir debido a la interrupción social y la distancia, o de una manera más sutil. Sin embargo, en la medida en que los usuarios sean valorados y encuentren un papel en la familia, se establecen relaciones de intercambio y ayuda mutua. Conclusión: las relaciones se desarrollan en un proceso dialéctico, pasando por conflictos y situaciones de reciprocidad, siendo la familia la principal red de inclusión social de estas personas.

ABSTRACT

Objetivo: descrever as condutas utilizadas pela enfermeira obstétrica na assistência ao trabalho de parto e parto. Método: estudo observacional, descritivo e retrospectivo, realizado em duas maternidades de Maceió-Alagoas com 138 prontuários. A coleta de dados se deu por meio do partograma e da declaração de nascidos vivos que ficam anexadas ao prontuário. As variáveis foram agrupadas em categorias e descritas em percentuais e variáveis categóricas. Resultados: foi possível observar que não houve diferença, estatisticamente significante entre as instituições (p<0,05) nem em relação à idade, nem escolaridade. Já em relação às variáveis obstétricas, notou-se que houve diferença estatisticamente significante entre as instituições (p<0,05) em relação à paridade, idade gestacional, posição materna, uso de ocitocina e complicações. Conclusão: as ações realizadas pelas enfermeiras na assistência ao trabalho de parto e parto neste estudo estão dentro de um contexto de mudança real de paradigma e de postura frente às evidências científicas.


Objective: to describe the managements used by the obstetric nurse in assisting labor and parturition. Methods: an observational, descriptive and retrospective study conducted in two maternity hospitals in Maceió-Alagoas with 138 medical records. Data were collected through the partograph and the declaration of live births attached to the medical record. Variables were categorized and described as percentages and categorical variables. Results: it was possible to observe that there was no statistically significant difference between institutions (p <0.05), regarding age and education. Considering maternal variables, it was observed that there was a statistically significant difference between institutions (p <0.05) regarding parity, gestational age, maternal position, oxytocin use and complications. Conclusion: actions performed by nurses in the care of labor and delivery in this study are within a context of real change of paradigm and attitude towards scientific evidence.


Objetivo: describir las acciones utilizadas por la enfermera obstétrica para ayudar en el parto y el parto. Métodos: estudio observacional, descriptivo y retrospectivo realizado en dos maternidades de Maceió-Alagoas con 138 historias clínicas. Los datos se recopilaron a través del partograma y la declaración de nacimientos vivos adjunta a la historia clínica. Las variables se clasificaron y describieron como porcentajes y variables categóricas. Resultados: fue posible observar que no hubo diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre las instituciones (p <0.05), con respecto a la edad y la educación. Considerando las variables maternas, se observó que había una diferencia estadísticamente significativa entre las instituciones (p <0.05) con respecto a la paridad, edad gestacional, posición materna, uso de ocitocina y complicaciones. Conclusión: las acciones realizadas por las enfermeras en el cuidado del trabajo de parto y el parto en este estudio están dentro de un contexto de cambio real de paradigma y actitud hacia la evidencia científica.
