Twisted bilayer graphene (tBLG) provides a fascinating platform for engineering flat bands and inducing correlated phenomena. By designing the stacking architecture of graphene layers, twisted multilayer graphene can exhibit different symmetries with rich tunability. For example, in twisted monolayer-bilayer graphene (tMBG) which breaks the C2z symmetry, transport measurements reveal an asymmetric phase diagram under an out-of-plane electric field, exhibiting correlated insulating state and ferromagnetic state respectively when reversing the field direction. Revealing how the electronic structure evolves with electric field is critical for providing a better understanding of such asymmetric field-tunable properties. Here we report the experimental observation of field-tunable dichotomic electronic structure of tMBG by nanospot angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (NanoARPES) with operando gating. Interestingly, selective enhancement of the relative spectral weight contributions from monolayer and bilayer graphene is observed when switching the polarity of the bias voltage. Combining experimental results with theoretical calculations, the origin of such field-tunable electronic structure, resembling either tBLG or twisted double-bilayer graphene (tDBG), is attributed to the selectively enhanced contribution from different stacking graphene layers with a strong electron-hole asymmetry. Our work provides electronic structure insights for understanding the rich field-tunable physics of tMBG.

INTRODUCTION: Congenital chloride diarrhoea (CCD) is an autosomal recessive condition that causes secretory diarrhoea and potentially deadly electrolyte imbalances in infants because of solute carrier family 26 member 3 (SLC26A3) gene mutations. CASE PRESENTATION: A 7-month-old Chinese infant with a history of maternal polyhydramnios presented with frequent watery diarrhoea, severe dehydration, hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia, failure to thrive, metabolic alkalosis, hyperreninaemia, and hyperaldosteronaemia. Genetic testing revealed a compound heterozygous SLC26A3 gene mutation in this patient (c.269_270dup and c.2006 C > A). Therapy was administered in the form of oral sodium and potassium chloride supplements, which decreased stool frequency. CONCLUSIONS: CCD should be considered when an infant presents with prolonged diarrhoea during infancy, particularly in the context of maternal polyhydramnios and dilated foetal bowel loops.

Coalbed methane (CBM) reservoirs constitute a distinct class of dense organic rocks characterized by extremely low porosity and permeability. Conducting an in-depth investigation into pore heterogeneity assumes paramount importance for the exploration and development of CBM. This study focuses on the multifractal analysis of the pores with diameters below 300 nm in six coal samples sourced from the Junggar Basin and the Qinshui Basin in China. The analysis is based on a series of experiments involving CO2 adsorption, low-temperature N2 adsorption/desorption, and CH4 isothermal adsorption. This work delves into the influence of pore heterogeneity on gas adsorption capacity by linking the structural parameters to CH4 adsorption properties. The results indicate that both the micropores, as assessed through CO2 adsorption, and mesopores to macropores, measured via N2 adsorption, exhibit multifractal behavior. In contrast to micropores, the mesopores and macropores display stronger heterogeneity and lower connectivity. Generally, uniform and well-connected nanopores are anticipated to positively contribute to gas adsorption. However, there is a positive correlation between the Langmuir volume and the heterogeneity degree of micropores. This phenomenon is ascribed to the fact that the greater surface complexity in micropores involves a larger specific surface area and a higher abundance of adsorption sites. This research contributes to a more profound and precise comprehension of the heterogeneous pore structure within CBM reservoirs, thereby establishing a theoretical foundation for the sustainable exploitation of CBM.

STUDY OBJECTIVE: The use of hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 has been linked to renal injury in critically ill patients, but its impact on surgical patients remains uncertain. DESIGN: A retrospective cohort study. SETTING: This study was conducted at one tertiary care hospital in China. PATIENTS: We evaluated the records of 51,926 Chinese adults who underwent noncardiac surgery from 2013 to 2022. Patients given a combination of hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 and crystalloids were propensity-matched at a 1: 1 ratio of baseline characteristics to patients given only crystalloids (11,725 pairs). INTERVENTIONS: Eligible patients were divided into those given a combination of hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 and crystalloid during surgery and a reference crystalloid group consisting of patients who were not given any colloid. MEASUREMENTS: The primary outcome was the incidence of acute kidney injury. Secondarily, acute kidney injury stage, need for renal replacement therapy, intensive care unit transfer rate, and duration of postoperative hospitalization were considered. MAIN RESULTS: After matching, hydroxyethyl starch use [8.5 (IQR: 7.5-10.0) mL/kg] did not increase the incidence of acute kidney injury compared with that in the crystalloid group [2.0 vs. 2.2%, OR: 0.90 (0.74-1.08), P = 0.25]. Nor did hydroxyethyl starch use worsen acute kidney injury stage [OR 0.90 (0.75-1.08), P = 0.26]. No significant differences between the fluid groups were observed in renal replacement therapy [OR 0.60 (0.41-0.90), P = 0.02)] or intensive care unit transfers [OR 1.02 (0.95-1.09), P = 0.53] after Bonferroni correction. Even in a subset of patients at high risk of renal injury, hydroxyethyl starch use was not associated with worse outcomes. CONCLUSIONS: Hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 use was not significantly associated with a greater incidence of postoperative acute kidney injury compared to receiving crystalloid solutions only.

Lymph nodes (LNs) occupy a critical position in initiating and augmenting immune responses, both spatially and functionally. In cancer immunotherapy, tumor-specific vaccines are blooming as a powerful tool to suppress the growth of existing tumors, as well as provide preventative efficacy against tumorigenesis. Delivering these vaccines more efficiently to LNs, where antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and T cells abundantly reside, is under extensive exploration. Formulating vaccines into nanomedicines, optimizing their physiochemical properties, and surface modification to specifically bind molecules expressed on LNs or APCs, are common routes and have brought encouraging outcomes. Alternatively, porous scaffolds can be engineered to attract APCs and provide an environment for them to mature, proliferate and migrate to LNs. A relatively new research direction is inducing the formation of LN-like organoids, which have shown positive relevance to tumor prognosis. Cutting-edge advances in these directions and discussions from a future perspective are given here, from which the up-to-date pattern of cancer vaccination will be drawn to hopefully provide basic guidance to future studies.

Interleukin-1ß (IL-1ß) contributes to interstitial lung disease (ILD) and pulmonary fibrosis (PF), thus representing a potential therapeutic target for PF. In this study, we first verified the increased expression of IL-1ß in human fibrotic lung specimens and mouse lung tissues after intratracheal (i.t.) instillation of bleomycin (BLM), after which the pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic effects of recombinant IL-1ß were tested in mice. The results above suggested that vaccination against IL-1ß could be an effective strategy for managing PF. An anti-IL-1ß vaccine (PfTrx-IL-1ß) was designed by incorporating two IL-1ß-derived polypeptides, which have been verified as the key domains that mediate the binding of IL-1ß to its type I receptor, into Pyrococcus furiosus thioredoxin (PfTrx). The fusion protein PfTrx-IL-1ß was prepared by using E. coli expression system. The vaccine was well tolerated; it induced robust and long-lasting antibody responses in mice and neutralized the biological activity of IL-1ß, as shown in cellular assays. Pre-immunization with PfTrx-IL-1ß effectively protected mice from BLM-induced lung injury, inflammation, and fibrosis. In vitro experiments further showed that anti-PfTrx-IL-1ß antibodies counteracted the effects of IL-1ß concerning pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic cytokine production by primary mouse lung fibroblast, macrophages (RAW264.7), and type II alveolar epithelial cell (A549), primary mouse lung fibroblast activation and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of alveolar epithelial cells. In addition, the vaccination did not compromise the anti-infection immunity in mice, as validated by a sepsis model. Our preliminary study suggests that the anti-IL-1ß vaccine we prepared has the potential to be developed as a therapeutic measure for PF. Further experiments are warranted to evaluate whether IL-1ß vaccination has the capacity of inhibiting chronic progressive PF and reversing established PF.

Neuronal ferroptosis plays a key role in neurologic deficits post intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). However, the endogenous regulation of rescuing ferroptotic neurons is largely unexplored. Here, we analyzed the integrated alteration of metabolomic landscape after ICH using LC-MS and MALDI-TOF/TOF MS, and demonstrated that aconitate decarboxylase 1 (Irg1) and its product itaconate, a derivative of the tricarboxylic acid cycle, were protectively upregulated. Deficiency of Irg1 or depletion of neuronal Irg1 in striatal neurons was shown to exaggerate neuronal loss and behavioral dysfunction in an ICH mouse model using transgenic mice. Administration of 4-Octyl itaconate (4-OI), a cell-permeable itaconate derivative, and neuronal Irg1 overexpression protected neurons in vivo. In addition, itaconate inhibited ferroptosis in cortical neurons derived from mouse and human induced pluripotent stem cells in vitro. Mechanistically, we demonstrated that itaconate alkylated glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPx4) on its cysteine 66 and the modification allosterically enhanced GPx4's enzymatic activity by using a bioorthogonal probe, itaconate-alkyne (ITalk), and a GPx4 activity assay using phosphatidylcholine hydroperoxide. Altogether, our research suggested that Irg1/itaconate-GPx4 axis may be a future therapeutic strategy for protecting neurons from ferroptosis post ICH.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is regarded as a chronic metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia. Long-term hyperglycemia may result in oxidative stress, damage pancreatic ß-cell function and induce insulin resistance. Herein we explored the anti-hypoglycemic effects and mechanisms of action of N-p-coumaroyloctopamine (N-p-CO) in vitro and in vivo. N-p-CO exhibited high antioxidant activity, as indicated by the increased activity of SOD, GSH and GSH-Px in HL-7702 cells induced by both high glucose (HG) and palmitic acid (PA). N-p-CO treatment significantly augmented glucose uptake and glycogen synthesis in HG/PA-treated HL-7702 cells. Moreover, administration of N-p-CO in diabetic mice induced by both high-fat diet (HFD) and streptozotocin (STZ) not only significantly increased the antioxidant levels of GSH-PX, SOD and GSH, but also dramatically alleviated hyperglycemia and hepatic glucose metabolism in a dose-dependent manner. More importantly, N-p-CO upregulated the expressions of PI3K, AKT and GSK3ß proteins in both HG/PA-induced HL-7702 cells and HFD/STZ-induced mice. These findings clearly suggest that N-p-CO exerts anti-hypoglycemic and anti-oxidant effects, most probably via the regulation of a PI3K/AKT/GSK3ß signaling pathway. Thus, N-p-CO may have high potentials as a new candidate for the prevention and treatment of diabetes.

Purpose: Minimally invasive therapies (MIT) have gained popularity due to their capacity to reduce trauma, enhance aesthetic outcomes, and shorten recovery periods. This article explores patients' perceptions and preferences regarding MIT for varicose veins (VVs) while analyzing associated influencing factors to provide a better understanding. Patients and methods: A cross-sectional survey at Zhejiang Rongjun Hospital was performed from January 2022 to June 2023, involving 305 participants with VVs. The questionnaire assessed patient demographics, VVs severity, prior treatment experiences, and treatment preferences. Statistical analyses, including chi-square and Kruskal-Wallis tests, were conducted to explore the correlations between patient characteristics, treatment preferences, and factors influencing these choices. Results: Nearly half of the participants (44.3%) lacked information on any surgical options, whereas a slight majority (55.7%) possessed familiarity with at least one treatment modality, and only 9.8% knew of all six treatment methods presented. Patient surveys discerned that the majority (68.5%) declared an inadequate grasp of treatment methodologies to articulate a treatment preference. Among the 96 patients who made a treatment choice, 24.0% opted for traditional surgery, while 76.0% chose MIT and a higher preference for MIT among male patients compared to female patients (p = 0.006). The patients preferred treatment options for VVs significantly affected by vascular surgeon recommendations and the number of follow-up visits (r = 0.129, p = 0.024; r = 0.122, p = 0.033). Conclusion: The study highlights limited awareness of MIT among Chinese patients with VVs. The insights emphasize the influential role of vascular surgeons' recommendations and suggest a growing predilection for less invasive treatments due to their advantages in recovery and aesthetics. Provider-patient communication, including education about available treatments and shared decision-making, is essential to align treatment plans with patient expectations and improve outcomes.

Pigmented and non-pigmented rice varieties (grown in different areas) were collected in China, Yunnan, to investigate the content of macro-, trace elements and potentially toxic elements (PTEs), and to assess the health risk associated with dietary intake. The order of elemental concentrations in rice was Mn > Zn > Fe > Cu > Se for trace elements, P > K > Mg > Ca > Na for macro elements, and Cr > As > Cd for PTEs. Rice with a high concentration of essential elements also associated with a high content of PTEs. In addition, higher content of Cr, Mn and Na were found in pigmented rice. The health risk assessment showed that the daily intake of all elements was below the tolerable limit (UL). Moreover the intake of Fe, Zn and Se was far from sufficient for the nutrient requirement. The PTEs in rice dominated the health risk. Of concern is that this rice consumption is likely to contribute to carcinogenic risks in the long term and that adults are at higher health risk from pigmented rice compared to non-pigmented rice. This study confirms that the lack of essential micronutrients in rice and the health risk associated with rice diets should remain a concern.

Objective: Bendamustine was approved for treating chronic lymphocytic leukemia and indolent B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Despite its therapeutic benefits, the long-term safety of bendamustine in a large population remains inadequately understood. This study evaluates the adverse events (AEs) associated with bendamustine, using a real-world pharmacovigilance database to support its clinical application. Methods: We conducted a post-marketing risk analysis to assess the association between bendamustine and its AEs. Data were extracted from the US FDA's Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS), covering the period from January 2017 to September 2023. The characteristics of bendamustine-associated AEs and the onset time were further analyzed. Statistical analysis was performed using MYSQL 8.0, Navicat Premium 15, Microsoft EXCEL 2016, and Minitab 21.0. Results: 9,461,874 reports were collected from the FAERS database, 9,131 identified bendamustine as the "primary suspected" drug. We identified 331 significant disproportionality preferred terms (PTs). Common AEs included pyrexia, neutropenia, infusion site reaction, progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), injection site vasculitis, and pneumonia-all documented on bendamustine's label. Notably, 16 unexpected and significant AEs were discovered, including hypogammaglobulinemia, which is concerning due to its potential to increase infection susceptibility following bendamustine treatment. Other significant findings were anaphylactic reactions, PML, and cutaneous malignancies, suggesting updates to the drug's label may be necessary. Physicians should monitor for neurological and skin changes in patients and discontinue treatment if PML is suspected. Moreover, the median onset time for bendamustine-associated AEs was 13 days, with an interquartile range [IQR] of 0-59 days, predominantly occurring on the first day post-initiation. The ß of bendamustine-related AEs suggested risk reduction over time. Conclusion: Our study uncovered some potential pharmacovigilance signals for bendamustine, providing important insights for its safe and effective clinical use.

BACKGROUND: Thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy (TAO) is the most common orbital disease in adults, potentially leading to disfigurement and visual impairment. However, the causes of TAO are not fully understood. IL-35+B cells are a newly identified regulatory B cells (Bregs) in maintaining immune balance in various autoimmune diseases. Yet, the influence of IL-35+Bregs in TAO remains unexplored. METHODS: This study enrolled 36 healthy individuals and 14 TAO patients. We isolated peripheral blood mononuclear cells and stimulated them with IL-35 and CpG for 48 h. Flow cytometry was used to measure the percentages of IL-35+Bregs. RESULTS: The percentage of circulating IL-35+Bregs was higher in TAO patients, and this increase correlated positively with disease activity. IL-35 significantly increased the generation of IL-35+Bregs in healthy individuals. However, B cells from TAO patients exhibited potential impairment in transitioning into IL-35+Breg phenotype under IL-35 stimulation. CONCLUSIONS: Our results suggest a potential role of IL-35+Bregs in the development of TAO, opening new avenues for understanding disease mechanisms and developing therapeutic approaches.

The compromise of contradictive parameters, polarization and breakdown strength, is necessary to achieve a high energy storage performance. The two can be tuned, regardless of material types, by controlling microstructures: amorphous states possess higher breakdown strength, while crystalline states have larger polarization. However, how to achieve a balance of amorphous and crystalline phases requires systematic and quantitative investigations. Herein, we comprehensively evaluated the trade-off between polarization and breakdown field with the evolution of microstructure, i.e., grain size and crystallinity, by phase-field simulations. The results indicate small grain size (∼10-35 nm) with moderate crystallinity (∼60%∼80%) is more beneficial to maintain relatively high polarization and breakdown field simultaneously, consequently contributing to a high overall energy storage performance. Experimentally, we therefore achieved an ultrahigh energy density of 131 J cm-3 with a high efficiency of 81.6% in the microcrystal-amorphous dual-phase Bi3NdTi4O12 films. The enzymatic biodegradation of mycotoxins in food and feed has attracted the most interest in recent years. In this paper, the laccase gene from Bacillus swezeyi was cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli BL 21(D3). The sequence analysis indicated that the gene consisted of 1533 bp. The purified B. swezeyi laccase was analyzed by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis -12% with an estimated molecular weight of 56.7 kDa. The enzyme is thermo-alkali-tolerant, displaying the optimal degradation of zearalenone (ZEN) and aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) at pH 8 and 9, with incubation temperatures of 55 and 50 °C, respectively, within 24 h. The degradation potentials of the 50 µg of the enzyme against ZEN (5.0 µg/mL) and AFB1 (2.5 µg/mL) were 99.60 and 96.73%, respectively, within 24 h. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study revealing the recombinant production of laccase from B. swezeyi, its biochemical properties, and potential use in ZEN and AFB1 degradation in vitro and in vivo.

One of the hallmarks of cancer is metabolic reprogramming in tumor cells, and aerobic glycolysis is the primary mechanism by which glucose is quickly transformed into lactate. As one of the primary rate-limiting enzymes, pyruvate kinase (PK) M is engaged in the last phase of aerobic glycolysis. Alternative splicing is a crucial mechanism for protein diversity, and it promotes PKM precursor mRNA splicing to produce PKM2 dominance, resulting in low PKM1 expression. Specific splicing isoforms are produced in various tissues or illness situations, and the post-translational modifications are linked to numerous disorders, including cancers. hnRNPs are one of the main components of the splicing factor families. However, there have been no comprehensive studies on hnRNPs regulating PKM alternative splicing. Therefore, this review focuses on the regulatory network of hnRNPs on PKM pre-mRNA alternative splicing in tumors and clinical drug research. We elucidate the role of alternative splicing in tumor progression, prognosis, and the potential mechanism of abnormal RNA splicing. We also summarize the drug targets retarding tumorous splicing events, which may be critical to improving the specificity and effectiveness of current therapeutic interventions.

Visualizing the whole vascular network system is crucial for understanding the pathogenesis of specific diseases and devising targeted therapeutic interventions. Although the combination of light sheet microscopy and tissue-clearing methods has emerged as a promising approach for investigating the blood vascular network, leveraging the spatial resolution down to the capillary level and the ability to image centimeter-scale samples remains difficult. Especially, as the resolution improves, the issue of photobleaching outside the field of view poses a challenge to image the whole vascular network of adult mice at capillary resolution. Here, we devise a fluorescent microsphere vascular perfusion method to enable labeling of the whole vascular network in adult mice, which overcomes the photobleaching limit during the imaging of large samples. Moreover, by combining the utilization of a large-scale light-sheet microscope and tissue clearing protocols for whole-mouse samples, we achieve the capillary-level imaging resolution (3.2 × 3.2 × 6.5 µm) of the whole vascular network with dimensions of 45 × 15 × 82 mm in adult mice. This method thus holds great potential to deliver mesoscopic resolution images of various tissue organs for whole-animal imaging.

To develop a clinical-radiomics nomogram based on spectral CT multi-parameter images for predicting lymph node metastasis in colorectal cancer. A total of 76 patients with colorectal cancer and 156 lymph nodes were included. The clinical data of the patients were collected, including gender, age, tumor location and size, preoperative tumor markers, etc. Three sets of conventional images in the arterial, venous, and delayed phases were obtained, and six sets of spectral images were reconstructed using the arterial phase spectral data, including virtual monoenergetic images (40 keV, 70 keV, 100 keV), iodine density maps, iodine no water maps, and virtual non-contrast images. Radiomics features of lymph nodes were extracted from the above images, respectively. Univariate analysis and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression were used to select features. A clinical model was constructed based on age and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) levels. The radiomics features selected were used to generate a composed radiomics signature (Com-RS). A nomogram was developed using age, CEA, and the Com-RS. The models' prediction efficiency, calibration, and clinical application value were evaluated by the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), calibration curve, and decision curve analysis, respectively. The nomogram outperforms the clinical model and the Com-RS (AUC = 0.879, 0.824). It is well calibrated and has great clinical application value. This study developed a clinical-radiomics nomogram based on spectral CT multi-parameter images, which can be used as an effective tool for preoperative personalized prediction of lymph node metastasis in colorectal cancer.

Egg allergy is one of the most common food allergies globally. This study aimed to assess the impact of four traditional cooking methods on the allergenicity of egg proteins using a comprehensive strategy, including simulated gastrointestinal digestion in vitro, serology experiments, a rat basophilic leukemia (RBL)-2H3 cell degranulation model, and a passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) mice model, and the structure changes were detected by circular dichroism (CD) spectra and ultraviolet (UV) spectra. The results showed that the processed egg proteins were more readily digested compared to raw egg proteins. The serological experiments revealed a significant reduction in immunoglobulin E binding of egg proteins after thermal treatments (p < 0.05), particularly after frying. Subsequently, the RBL-2H3 cell degranulation experiment demonstrated a marked decrease in the level of egg allergens-induced ß-hexosaminidase release after cooking (p < 0.05). Moreover, the results from the PCA mice model indicated that the increase in vascular permeability was effectively relieved in the treated groups, especially in frying group (p < 0.05). Additionally, the α-helix and ß-turn contents of processed egg proteins were significantly decreased (p < 0.05) compared with native egg proteins. The UV spectra findings showed that all cooking treatments caused significant alterations in the tertiary structure, and fluorescence analysis indicated that cooking decreased the surface hydrophobicity of egg proteins. In conclusion, four traditional cooking methods reduced the allergenicity of egg proteins, particularly frying, and this reduction was associated with structural changes that could contribute to the destruction or masking of epitopes of egg allergens. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Egg allergy has a serious impact on public health, and there is no ideal treatment method at present. This study demonstrated that four traditional cooking methods (boiling, steaming, baking, and frying) reduced the allergenicity of egg proteins, especially frying, and the results will provide a basis for the development of hypoallergenic egg products.

Ammonia oxidation is the rate-limiting step in nitrification and the key step in the nitrogen (N) cycle. Most soil nutrients and biological indicators are extremely sensitive to irrigation systems, from the perspective of improving soil fertility and soil ecological environment, the evaluation of different irrigation systems and suitability of selection, promote crop production and soil quality, study the influence of the soil microenvironment contribute to accurate evaluation of irrigation farmland soil health. Based on the amoA gene, the abundance and community diversity of ammonia-oxidizing archaea (AOA) and ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB) and their responses to soil physicochemical factors and enzyme activities were studied in semi-arid areas of Northeast China. The study consisted of three irrigation systems: flood irrigation (FP), shallow buried drip irrigation (DI), and mulched drip irrigation (MF). The results showed that DI and MF significantly increased the contents of alkaline hydrolyzed nitrogen (AN), nitrate nitrogen (NO3--N), soil moisture, and the activities of ammonia monooxygenase (AMO) and hydroxylamine oxidase (HAO). Compared with FP, DI significantly increased the abundance of soil AOA and AOB, while MF significantly increased the abundance of soil AOB. Irrigation systems significantly affected the community composition of ammonia-oxidizing microorganisms (AOM). Also, AN and soil moisture had the greatest influence on the community composition of AOA and AOB, respectively. The AOB community had better stability and stress resistance. Moreover, the symbiotic network of AOB in the three irrigation systems was more complex than that of AOA. Compared with FP, the AOA community under treatment DI had higher complexity and stability, maintaining the versatility and sustainability of the ecosystem, while the AOB community under treatment MF had higher transfer efficiency in terms of matter and energy. In conclusion, DI and MF were more conducive to the propagation of soil AOM in the semi-arid area of Northeast China, which can provide a scientific basis for rational irrigation and N regulation from the perspective of microbiology.
