Determination of aluminium in a "nimonic" alloy by activation with fast neutrons.

Aluminium at the 6% level was determined in a 15-component "nimonic" alloy with a coefficient of variation of +/-8.7% by using fast-neutron activation followed by pulse-height analysis of gamma-ray spectra. The possibility of determining chromium, iron, cobalt and manganese is discussed.
