ABSTRACT

Long COVID-19, also known as post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), is characterized by persistent symptoms after COVID-19 onset. This article explores the challenges, management strategies, and recommendations for addressing long COVID-19 in primary care settings. The epidemiology of long COVID-19 reveals significant variability, with a substantial portion of COVID-19 survivors experiencing post-acute symptoms. Pathophysiological mechanisms include viral persistence, endothelial dysfunction, autoimmunity, neurological dysregulation, and gastrointestinal dysbiosis. Multiple risk factors, including age, sex, pre-existing comorbidities, smoking, BMI, and acute COVID-19 severity, influence the development of long COVID-19. Effective management requires proactive measures such as vaccination, identification of high-risk populations, public awareness, and post-infection vaccination. Collaboration of primary care physicians with specialists is essential for holistic and individualized patient care. This article underscores the role of primary care physicians in diagnosing, managing, and mitigating the long-term effects of COVID-19. (AU)


La COVID-19 prolongada, también conocida como secuela postaguda de la infección por SARS-CoV-2, se caracteriza por síntomas persistentes después de la aparición de la COVID-19. Este artículo explora los desafíos, las estrategias de manejo y las recomendaciones para abordar la COVID-19 prolongada en entornos de atención primaria. La epidemiología de la COVID-19 prolongada revela una variabilidad significativa, y una parte sustancial de los supervivientes de la COVID-19 experimentan síntomas postagudos. Los mecanismos fisiopatológicos incluyen persistencia viral, disfunción endotelial, autoinmunidad, desregulación neurológica y disbiosis gastrointestinal. Múltiples factores de riesgo, como la edad, el sexo, las comorbilidades preexistentes, el tabaquismo, el IMC y la gravedad aguda de la COVID-19, influyen en el desarrollo de la COVID-19 prolongada. Una gestión eficaz requiere medidas proactivas, como la vacunación, la identificación de poblaciones de alto riesgo, la concienciación pública y la vacunación posterior a la infección. La colaboración de los médicos de atención primaria con los especialistas es esencial para una atención holística e individualizada al paciente. Introduction: Staff turnover is a major obstacle to the success of Saudi Arabia's health transformation agenda and the realization of Saudi Vision 2030. Nurses' and midwives' intentions to remain with the organization are heavily influenced by their sense of structural empowerment and resilience. Objectives: To gain insight into the perspectives of nurses and midwives working in the Obstetrics and Gynecology departments of a selection of Saudi Arabian governmental hospitals about structural empowerment, resilience, and intentions to stay in their current positions. Methods: Qualitative Descriptive Phenomenology. Purposive sampling was used to choose eighteen nurses and midwives working in the OB/GYN department in three government hospitals in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to gather the participants' perceptions. Colaizzi's steps were used as a data analysis method. Results: The narratives of the selected participants generated five major themes: (a) "nurturing physical and physiological," (b) "developing psychological," (c) "managing financial," (e) "restructuring organizational," and (f) "enriching professional and occupational." Conclusions: The emerging major themes highlighted the perceptive elements of nurses and midwives that keep them empowered, resilient, and determined to stay in their organization. A failure to fulfill any one of these elements will affect the others. To improve organizational outcomes, empowerment and resilience must be obtained.

BACKGROUND: Articulating a clear scope of practice for all nursing categories is essential for improving patient safety, quality of care, and nurse retention. However, this is not the case in many countries, including Saudi Arabia. This study aimed to analyze the actual scope of practice for nursing staff in Saudi Ministry of Health hospitals. METHODS: The study used a cross-sectional exploratory design. The sampling method used in the study was the quota sampling technique. The scale utilized in this study was the Actual Scope of Practice (ASCOP) scale. Data were collected in March 2021 through an electronic form questionnaire completed by 286 nurses in two hospitals in Al-Hasa province in Saudi Arabia. RESULTS: The overall mean score for ASCOP was 4.64 out of 6. When participants were grouped according to select characteristics (various nursing staff categories, educational levels, years of experience, nationality, gender, and type of work setting), the results revealed no statistically significant differences in overall ASCOP mean scores, except for gender and nationality. CONCLUSIONS: The overall mean scores of nursing activities performed in practice do not significantly differ across nurses with different professional categories (health assistant, nursing technician, nursing specialist, and senior nursing specialist), indicating no clear scope of practice for each nursing category, in turn leading to role overlap among them in practice. The current study's findings can guide decision-makers to develop a clear scope of practice for nurses. The findings should also urge the decision-makers to reevaluate the usefulness of having multiple professional categories of nurses who are allowed to carry out almost the same job duties.

Introduction: This study aims to investigate cervical kyphosis in children, which has gained increasing attention in recent years due to its higher incidence and its association with tumor surgeries, and to shed light on the unique anatomical and biomechanical differences between pediatric and adult populations regarding cervical sagittal alignment. Additionally, it explores the diverse causes and management approaches, which often pose significant challenges. Furthermore, this study presents the management outcomes from three spine centers in the Middle East. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on patient records from 2009 to 2021 in three centers located in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan. Demographic and clinical data were collected, imaging studies were reviewed, and various treatment modalities and their corresponding outcomes were documented and analyzed. Additionally, a literature review on pediatric cervical kyphosis and its management was performed. Results: Seventeen patients were included in this study. The average age at presentation was 11.9 years. Among the participants, 14 underwent surgical treatment, 1 was treated with Minerva orthosis, and 2 were observed. The mean follow-up period was 32.4 months. In surgically treated patients, a statistically significant higher degree of correction was achieved when combining anterior and posterior surgeries compared to performing standalone anterior or posterior surgery (P-value = 0.014). Conclusions: Although rare, pediatric cervical kyphosis is a significant condition within the spectrum of pediatric deformities and frequently occurs as a component of syndromes or as a result of iatrogenic factors. Neck pain and myelopathy are the most commonly observed symptoms. Thorough evaluation and complex surgical interventions are typically required for most cases.

Background: Camels are important animals in Egypt and other Arab countries on the basis of their economic value and ethnic culture. Escherichia coli is implicated in several gastrointestinal infections and outbreaks worldwide, especially in developing countries. It causes infections that might lead to death. Numerous biological activities, such as antioxidative, antibacterial, anti-diabetic, anti-mutagenic, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and diuretic, are associated with coriander and coriander essential oils. Aim: This work targeted investigation of the prevalence, antibiogram, and occurrence of virulence genes of E. coli in camel meat liver and kidney. Besides, the anti-E. coli activity of coriander oil was further examined. Methods: Camel meat, liver, and kidneys were collected from local markets in Egypt. Isolation and identification of E. coli were performed. The antimicrobial susceptibility of the obtained E. coli isolates was screened using the disk diffusion assay. To detect the presence of virulence-associated genes (stx1, stx2, eaeA, and hylA gens), polymerase chain reaction was used. An experimental trial was done to investigate the anti-E. coli activity of coriander oil. Results: The obtained results revealed isolation of the following E. coli pathotypes: O17:H18, O128:H2, O119:H6, O103:H4, O145:H-, and O121:H7. The recovered E. coli isolates practiced multidrug resistance profiling with higher resistance toward Erythromycin, Nalidixic Acid, Clindamycin, and Ampicillin. However, the isolates were sensitive to Meropenem and cefoxitin. The recovered isolates had expressed different virulence attributes. Coriander oil of 2% could significantly reduce E. coli O128 count in camel meat by 65%. Conclusion: Therefore, strict hygienic measures are highly recommended during the processing of camel meat. The use of coriander oil during camel meat processing is highly recommended to reduce E. coli count.

BACKGROUND: Conduction disturbances remain one of the most common complications occurring post TAVI. We aim to determine the predictors of cardiac conduction disturbances after Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) and propose a relevant predictive model. We included 70 consecutive patients with severe symptomatic AS who underwent TAVI using the self-expanding valve Evolut R or the balloon expandable Sapien XT valve. All patients were subjected to electrocardiographic evaluation pre- and post-TAVI and at 30 days. Clinical, echocardiographic, CT-derived, and procedural parameters were collected and analyzed. RESULTS: Conduction disturbances affected 28 patients (40%): 16 patients (22.9 %) developed Left Bundle Branch Block (LBBB), 7 patients (10%) experienced transient Complete Heart Block (CHB), and 5 patients (7.1%) experienced permanent CHB requiring Permanent Pacemaker Implantation (PPI). We classified predictors into preprocedural and procedural predictors. Multivariate logistic regression analysis of pre-procedural predictors showed that the presence of basal septal calcification is the most powerful independent predictor (OR: 28.63, 95% CI: 4.59-178.68, p < 0.001). Multivariate logistic regression analysis for pre and post procedural predictors showed that the relationship between depth of implantation at the septum and membranous septum expressed in percentage (sDIMS) with cut-off >70.42% is the most powerful independent procedural predictor (OR: 1.11, 95% CI: 1.03-1.2, p 0.006). CONCLUSION: Conduction disturbances remain a common complication of TAVI. Presence of basal septal calcification is a non-modifiable risk factor that increase patient propensity of development such complication after TAVI. A depth of implantation exceeding 70% of the membranous septal length has been found to strongly predict conduction disturbances post TAVI. sDIMS can be used in planning the depth of implantation to reduce incidence of conduction disturbances post TAVI.

BACKGROUND: Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) has a growing target population after being indicated even in low-surgical-risk patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis. However, postoperative outcomes can be compromised due to para-valvular leakage (PVL). A lot of procedural steps have been investigated to decrease this partially avoidable operational hazard. Oversizing is a main technique to decrease the PVL, despite being itself a risky step. Many studies have been conducted to identify the optimum degree of oversizing. However, studies about oversizing by more than 20% are scarce. We aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of oversizing equal to or more than 20%. RESULTS: 209 patients who underwent TAVI using the self-expandable valve Evolut R were initially included. 66 patients were excluded because of the baseline conduction disturbance and lack of sufficient data, so 143 patients, 60 females and 83 males, were enrolled in our study as two groups based on the degree of oversizing: Group A included 97 patients with an oversizing index (OI) of less than 20%, and Group B included 46 patients with an OI of 20% or more. We conducted a new technique for more accurate measuring of the OI in the context of the implantation depth, and our patients were categorized using this technique. Our findings have met our primary end point in terms of the safety and efficacy of oversizing by 20% or more. There was no significant difference between both groups in terms of new-onset conduction disturbance (NOCD), with zero cases of annular rupture or coronary encroachment. In terms of efficacy, The incidence of significant PVL (grade 2 or more) in group B was less than in group A (P value 0.007). The ROC curve found that the minimum depth of implantation-derived oversizing (DIDO) to predict no significant PVL was less than 17%. CONCLUSION: Prosthesis oversizing by 20% using the self-expandable Evolut R valve is safe and effective, with no significant effect on the conduction system, coronary encroachment, or annular injury, and warrants a greater reduction in the incidence of significant PVL.

OBJECTIVE: Amiodarone (AMD), a drug of choice to treat cardiac arrhythmias, has a narrow therapeutic index (NTI). It inhibits CYP3A4, CYP2C9, and CYP2D6 enzymes. Quercetin (QUE), a pharmacologically important bioflavonoid in vegetables and fruits, is important in treating cardiovascular comorbidities. QUE alters the bioavailability of drugs used concurrently by dual inhibition of P-glycoproteins (P-gp) and cytochrome (CYP) enzyme systems. The current study aimed to investigate the pre-treatment and co-administration effect of QUE on AMD pharmacokinetics in rats. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Two separate animal trials (I and II) were planned to probe the effect of QUE on AMD pharmacokinetics by following previously cited studies. The pre-treatment group received oral doses of QUE for 14 days, and a single dose of AMD on the 15th day. Rats were administered single doses of QUE (20 mg/kg) and AMD (50 mg/kg) concurrently in a carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) in the co-administration study. Blood was collected at pre-determined time points. AMD was quantified by HPLC, and data was analyzed by PK solver software. RESULTS: In the pre-treated group, peak plasma concentration (Cmax) and area under the curve (AUC0-∞) of AMD were increased by 45.52% and 13.70%, respectively, while time to achieve maximum concentration (tmax), half-life (t1/2) and clearance (CL) were declined by 35.72%, 16.75%, and 11.0% respectively compared to the control. In the co-administered group, compared to controls, Cmax and AUC0-∞ were elevated to 12.90% and 7.80%, respectively, while tmax, t1/2, and CL declined by 16.70%, 2.35%, and 13.40%. Further, AMD was increased in lung tissue of both treated groups, relative to the respective controls. CONCLUSIONS: A notable pharmacokinetic drug interaction between QUE and AMD was observed in rats and warrants possible drug interaction study in humans, suggesting AMD dose adjustment specifically in patients with arrhythmia having a pre-treatment history and simultaneous administration of QUE-containing products.

BACKGROUND: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a complication of chronic hyperglycemia associated with diabetes mellitus (DM). Several studies have demonstrated the positive impact of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors on kidney outcomes. The objective of the study was to evaluate the effects of dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, on kidney outcomes in Saudi patients with type 2 DM. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Study included all Saudi patients with type 2 DM who visited our center from August 1, 2021, to July 31, 2022, and had been on dapagliflozin for at least 3 months. Data was abstracted through chart review for all patients included in the study. Paired t-test or Wilcoxon signed-rank test were used to compare the results before and after treatment for continuous variables and the McNemar test was used to compare the results for categorical data. RESULTS: Study included 184 Saudi patients with type 2 diabetes with a mean age of 61.32 years (SD=9.37). Dapagliflozin 10 mg/day significantly reduced hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C) from a mean (SD) of 9.00 to 8.40 (P < 0.001). Among a subgroup of patients with significant proteinuria (n = 83), dapagliflozin significantly reduced ACR from a median of 93.1 to 64.9 mg/g (P = 0.001). Following treatment, the estimated glomerular filtration rate improved from a mean of 69.83 to 71.68 mL/min and the mean arterial pressure (MAP) fell from 90.03 to 89.06 mmHg, both were not statistically significant. Despite a statistically insignificant increase in the episodes of urinary tract infections (UTIs), the hospitalization rate declined. No episodes of amputations or ketoacidosis occurred during the study period. CONCLUSION: SGLT2 inhibitors had beneficial effects among Saudi patients with type 2 diabetes by improving diabetic control and lowering proteinuria. Dapagliflozin did not result in significant harm, including UTIs, amputations, and ketoacidosis.

Early detection of colorectal cancer (CRC) increases the 5-year survival rate by 90%; therefore, non-invasive biomarkers such as measurable circulating proteins for early detection and prognosis are crucial. Insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation and apoptosis. IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs) bind and inhibit the activity of IGF-1. It was inconsistently reported that high IGF-1 and IGFBP-2 and low IGFBP-3 circulating levels are associated with high cancer risk, poor prognosis, and tumor metastasis in several cancers. A total of 175 patients with CRC and 429 controls were enrolled in this study. We genotyped for IGF-1 rs35767 and rs6214 gene polymorphisms and assessed their association with circulating levels of IGF-1 and/or the risk for CRC. We also determined plasma levels of IGF-1, IGFBP-2, and IGFBP-3. Neither rs35767 nor rs2614 were associated with cancer risk or IGF-1 levels in our study cohort. IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 levels were higher in controls than in patients, whereas IGFBP-2 was higher in patients than in controls. Only IGFBP-2 was associated with increased tumor grade but not stage. Therefore, IGF-1, IGFBP-2, and IGFBP-3 may be useful as early detection and prognostic biomarkers in CRC.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to isolate and identify three prenylflavonoids (cannflavin A, B, and C) from Cannabis sativa leaves using different chromatographic techniques. The potential of the isolated compounds against SARS-CoV-2 was suggested through several in silico analysis. Structural similarity studies against nine co-crystallized ligands of SARS-CoV-2's proteins indicated the similarities of the isolated cannflavins with the SARS-CoV-2 Papain-Like Protease (PLP) ligand, Y95. Then, flexible allignment study confirmed this similarity. Docking experiments showed successful binding of all cannflavins within the active pocket of PLP, with energies comparable to Y95. Among them, cannflavin A demonstrated the most similar binding mode, while cannflavin C exhibited the best energy. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and MM-GPSA confirmed the accurate binding of cannflavin A to the PLP. In silico ADMET studies indicated favourable drug-like properties for all three compounds, suggesting their potential as anti-SARS-CoV-2 agents. Further In vitro and In vivo investigations are necessary to validate these findings and establish their efficacy and safety profiles.

ABSTRACT

Intestinal intussusception is a condition determined as the telescoping of one portion of the bowel loops into the approximate distal portion. Intestinal intussusception is a fairly rare condition in the adult population and almost always secondary to the underlying pathology; the most common leading causes of intussusception in adults are neoplasms, accounting for up to two-thirds of the causes. However, appendicular pathology is an extremely rare leading cause. The clinical picture of an adult patient with bowel intussusception (BI) is uncertain and nonspecific; it varies from vague abdominal pain to clinical presentation of complications, such as signs of bowel obstruction or bowel perforation. Therefore, early access to imaging is the cornerstone for the early detection and establishment of the provisional diagnosis of BI. Herein, we report a case of ileocolic intussusception in an adult patient secondary to appendicular phlegmon; moreover, we propose a radiological approach to reach the diagnosis of intestinal intussusception in the adult age group.

Apolipoprotein CII (ApocII) plays a key role in regulating lipoprotein lipase (LPL) in lipid metabolism and transport. Numerous polymorphisms within APOCII are reportedly associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), dyslipidemia, and aberrant plasma lipid levels. Few studies have investigated sequence variants at APOCII loci and their association with metabolic disorders. This study aimed to identify and characterize genetic variants by sequencing the full APOCII locus and its flanking sequences in a sample of the Kuwaiti Arab population, including patients with T2DM, hypertriglyceridemia, non-Arab patients with T2DM, and healthy Arab controls. A total of 52 variants were identified in the noncoding sequences: 45 single nucleotide polymorphisms, wherein five were novel, and seven insertion deletions. The minor allele frequency (MAF) of the 47 previously reported variants was similar to the global MAF and to that reported in major populations. Sequence variant analysis predicted a conserved role for APOCII with a potential role for rs5120 in T2DM and rs7133873 as an informative ethnicity marker. This study adds to the ongoing research that attempts to identify ethnicity-specific variants in the apolipoprotein gene loci and associated LPL genes to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of metabolic disorders.

Objective: Depression is a common comorbidity in patients with asthma with a significant impact on clinical management. However, little information is available about physicians' perceptions and current practices in identifying and managing depression in individuals with asthma in Saudi Arabia. Thus, this study aims to assess physicians' views and current practices of identifying and managing depression in patients with asthma in Saudi Arabia. Methods: A cross-sectional study was employed. Between September 2022 and February 2023, an online survey was distributed to physicians (general practitioners and family, internal and pulmonary medicine specialists) in Saudi Arabia. Descriptive statistics were performed to analyze the collected responses. Results: Out of 1800 invited participants, a total of 1162 physicians completed the online survey. Nearly 40% of the respondents received adequate training for managing depression. More than 60% of physicians reported that depression interferes with self-management and worsens asthma symptoms, while 50% viewed the importance of regular screening for depression. Less than 40% (n=443) aim to identify depression during patients' visits. Of those, only 20% always screen for depression in asthma patients. Physicians show a low level of confidence when asking patients about their feelings (30%), being able to recognize depression (23%), and knowing if patients have depression (23%). The most common barriers linked to recognizing depression are high workload (50%), lack of time to screen for depression (46%), limited knowledge about depression (42%), and poor training (41%). Conclusion: The rate of recognizing and confidently managing depression in asthmatic patients is significantly low. This is attributed to high workload, poor training, and limited knowledge about depression. There is a need to support psychiatric training and implement a systematic approach to depression detection in clinical settings.

ABSTRACT

In this work, we present the analysis and design of an efficient nanoantenna sensor based on localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). A high refractive index dielectric nanostructure can exhibit strong radiation resonances with high electric field enhancement inside the gap. The use of silicon instead of metals as the material of choice in the design of such nanoantennas is advantageous since it allows the integration of nanoantenna-based structures into integrated-optoelectronics circuits manufactured using common fabrication methods in the electronic industry. It also allows the suggested devices to be mass-produced at a low cost. The proposed nanoantenna consists of a highly doped silicon nanorod and is placed on a dielectric substrate. Different shapes and different concentrations of doping for the nanoantenna structures that are resonant in the mid-infrared region are investigated and numerically analyzed. The wavelength of the enhancement peak as well as the enhancement level itself vary as the surrounding material changes. As a result, sensors may be designed to detect molecules via their characteristic vibrational transitions. The 3D FDTD approach via Lumerical software is used to obtain the numerical results. The suggested nanoantennas exhibit ultra-high local field enhancement inside the gap of the dipole structure.

ABSTRACT

Maxillectomy defects can lead to oroantral communication, causing difficulties with chewing, swallowing, speech, and facial appearance. Prosthodontists play a crucial role in rehabilitating such defects using obturators. This case report presents the fabrication of a definitive obturator with a cast metal framework for a patient who had an acquired maxillary defect and previously experienced issues with an ill-fitting obturator. In this clinical report, the patient's canine teeth on both sides and the premolars and molars on the left side were used for rest placement. Retention was achieved by utilizing the remaining teeth, employing two embrasure Aker clasps on the left molars and premolars and a C-wrought wire clasp on the right canine. A complete palate was designed as the major connector to ensure optimal load distribution to the surrounding tissues. Additionally, an indirect retainer was planned for the right canine. This definitive prosthesis rehabilitated the patient, improving masticatory efficiency, enhancing speech clarity, and improving quality of life.

ABSTRACT

The emergence of multidrug-resistant microbes and the propagation of cancer cells are global health issues. The unique properties of chitosan and its derivatives make it an important candidate for therapeutic applications. Herein, a new thiadiazole derivative, 4-((5-(butylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl) amino)-4-oxo butanoic acid (BuTD-COOH) was synthesized and used to modify the chitosan through amide linkages, forming a new thiadiazole chitosan derivative (BuTD-CH). The formation of thiadiazole and the chitosan derivative was confirmed by FT-IR, 1H/13C-NMR, GC-MS, TGA, Elemental analysis, and XPS. The BuTD-CH showed a high antimicrobial effect against human pathogens Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albicans with low MIC values of 25-50 µg ml-1 compared to unmodified chitosan. The in-vitro cytotoxicity of BuTD-CH was evaluated against two cancer cell lines (MCF-7 and HepG2) and one normal cell (HFB4) using the MTT method. The newly synthesized derivatives showed high efficacy against cancerous cells and targeted them at low concentrations (IC50 was 178.9 ± 9.1 and 147.8 ± 10.5 µg ml-1 for MCF-7 and HepG2, respectively) compared with normal HFB4 cells (IC50 was 335.7 ± 11.4 µg ml-1). Thus, low concentrations of newly synthesized BuTD-CH could be safely used as an antimicrobial and pharmacological agent for inhibiting the growth of human pathogenic microbes and hepatocellular and adenocarcinoma therapy.

ABSTRACT

In our continuous study for some African plants as a source for antitrypanosomally and cytotoxic active drugs, nine different plants belonging to the Crassulaceae family have been selected for the present study. Sedum sieboldii leaves extract showed an antitrypanosomal activity against Trypanosoma brucei with an IC50 value of 8.5 µg/mL. In addition, they have cytotoxic activities against (HCT-116), (HEPG-2) and (MCF-7), with IC50 values of 28.18 ± 0.24, 22.05 ± 0.66, and 26.47 ± 0.85 µg/mL, respectively. Furthermore, the extract displayed inhibition against Topoisomerase-1 with an IC50 value of 1.31 µg/mL. It showed the highest phenolics and flavonoids content among the other plants' extracts. In order to identify the secondary metabolites which may be responsible for such activities, profiling of the polar secondary metabolites of S. sieboldii extract via Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography coupled to High-Resolution QTOF-MS operated in negative and positive ionization modes, which revealed the presence of 46 metabolites, including flavonoids, phenolic acids, anthocyanidins, coumarin, and other metabolites.
