ABSTRACT

There were studied the skin specimen from 40 dead persons, aged from 23 to 87 yrs, (52 ± 15.6) yrs at average, with the objective to investigate the biochemical properties and establishment of experimental deformation angles. Basing on the biomechanical tissues background of the anterior abdominal wall topographo-anatomic regions there were analyzed the results of treatment in the patients, оperated on for the anterior wall deformities and defects, concerning biomechanical possibilities of the flaps and classic methods of the tissues mobilization applied. There was established, that in borders of possible plastic deformity the tissues pressure distribution have persisted in normal range, and this have promoted the cicatricial tissue formation, which did not differ in characteristics from the adjacent connective tissues structures, what have had guaranteed the uncomplicated course of the wound process. Biomechanical properties of adiposo-cutaneous flaps must be taken into account while manipulating with them with the objective of obtaining an optimal distribution of pressure along the flaps and conditions for obtaining of the tissues adequate reaction on operative trauma, while performing interventions on the anterior abdominal wall for its defects and deformities, guaranteeing better esthetic result of treatment, reduction of postoperative morbidity and stationary stay.

ABSTRACT

The present methods for a droopy ears correction do not guarantee the optimal cosmetic effect achievement. Optimal borders of deformity in cutaneo-adiposal flap of the mastoid region while cosmetic otoplasty performance were studied. Basing on analysis of biomechanical investigations, there were determined the optimal corners of stretching and direction of the strength vector in cutaneo-adiposal flaps while otoplasty performance, securing conditions for surgical intervention performance with preservation of a natural topographo-anatomical ratios in the head and neck tissues.

ABSTRACT

The urgency of the problem of determining the biomechanical features adipose-cutaneous grafts due to a significant increase in the frequency of performing cosmetic surgery and the lack of a unified concept for such interventions. In 32 women aged 35 to 65 years, which will eliminate the excess soft tissues in the implementation ritidectomy and other surgical interventions, isolated patches of adipose-cutaneous flaps to determine the mechanisms of its plastic deformation. Based on the analysis of biomechanical research targeted the optimal stretching the boundaries of adipose-cutaneous flaps zygomatic--to (0.45 ± 0.021) cm and temporal--by (0.0165 ± 0.002) cm refer to areas that allowed to perform surgery with preservation of natural topographoanatomic relations persons in the performance of the upper ritidectomy.

ABSTRACT

Prophylaxis of ocurrence of pathological cutaneous cicatrices is one of actual problems of plastic surgery of head and neck. Cicatricial changes of tissues, as a consequence of operative interventions and various damaging causes (mechanical, thermal and chemical impact, ionizing irradiation, deep destructive inflammation), were depicted. Propensity for formation of pathological cicatrices we consider as the organism state, in which cicatricial changes occur as an answer for minimal trauma or spontaneously. Detailed analysis of fundamental issues and periodical scientific publications witness the insufficient substantiation of this issue.

ABSTRACT

Nitrates (salts of nitric acid) are very common substances in nature and are present in almost all living organisms. Relevance of research about features of various pathological processes in chronic nitric intoxication significantly associated with the fact that the intake of nitro compounds has significantly increased in recent years, especially in rural areas where local water sources are used. Investigations were carried out on 20 white Wistar rats. Two series of the experiment ware held: Group I - intact animals (10 animals); Group II - animals after administration of sodium nitrate at a dose of 200 mg/kg in the form of an aqueous solution intragastrically for 60 days (10 animals). Chronic nitrate intoxication leads to a significant increase of the level of serum chondroitin rats with permanent indicators glycoproteins indicates that the products disorganization of proteoglycans from the bone to the blood serum. Increasing of overall level glycosaminoglycans and the third fraction (heparan sulfate), and reducing of the 2-nd fraction (chondroitin-4-sulfate) glycosaminoglycans in serum may be indicative of a chronic lesion of sodium nitrite intoxication general connective tissue (including bone tissues and liver parenchymal).

ABSTRACT

Actuality of the problem, consisting of restoration of defects and deformity zones on head and neck, is caused by great quantity of patients, surgical treatment of which constitute important medico-social problem. The flaps, raised from temporal and parietal regions, are considered perspective for replacement of defects and the deformity zones on head and neck. But, for their correct isolation and mobilization it is necessary to know the topographoanatomical peculiarities of superficial temporal artery, localization of which differs, depending on the head form. The methods of isolation and mobilization of angiosomic preauricular, postauricular and fascial temporal-parietal flaps were optimized in the clinic, basing on analysis of results of the investigations performed and computeric modeling of the superficial temporal artery branches.

ABSTRACT

The problem actuality is caused by significant enhancement of the incidence rate for inflammatory diseases of the head and neck tissues, first of all of the oral cavity floor abscesses and phlegmons, which causes severe forms of mediastinitis while inadequate treatment. The authors have had established, that Toll-like receptors (TLR) initiate a cascade of anti-inflammatory reactions of the inborn immunity, followed by synthesis of a certain cytokines, and their genetic polymorphism changes the immune reactivity of the organism. Trustworthy correlation of the gene TLR4 (rs4986790) polymorphism 896A/G was proved with high risk of the odontogenic phlegmon of the oral cavity floor occurrence, what would permit to prognosticate the disease course in early terms, to optimize the schemes of its prophylaxis and treatment.
