ABSTRACT

Antibodies to thyroid peroxidase (AB-TPO), antibodies to thyroglobulin (AB-TG), and the content of α2-macroglobulin (α2-MG) have been studied in serum samples of patients with autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT). All the patients were divided into 3 groups depending on age: 25-35, 36-50, 51-65 years. We found a significant change in the thyroid panel parameters in AIT, but without significant changes in the average concentration of α2-MG in the age groups of patients. This may be due to the accumulation and retention of complexes of defective forms of α2-MG in the circulation associated with their decreased ability to bind to receptors.

ABSTRACT

Results of populational-genetic research of genetic diseases in children up to 14-year-old of the population of Lenkoran district are presented. It was shown that the phenotypic frequencies of hereditary diseases and congenital malformations is 0.274% according to the data of Medical-Labor Expert Commission and 5.12% according to the data of research survey. The high level of multifactoral and autosome-reccessive types of inheritance indicates the high level of consanguine marriages in the population of the studied areas.

ABSTRACT

The occurrence of congenital hip dislocation in Lenkoran and Massaly areas of Azerbaijan Republic was studied. The population-genetic assessment in Lenkoran and Massaly regions was conducted. The phenotypic frequency of hip congenital dislocation according to Medical- Labor Expert Commission data are 0,065% and 0,035% respectively. According to present survey congenital hip dislocation data are: 0, 7% and 0, 4% respectively. The results of the study demonstrate strong demand of accurate data on the occurrence of congenital and genetic diseases in Azerbaijan Republic. The highest prevalence of multiple-factor type of heredity indicates the necessity to control teratogen factors of the environment.
