ABSTRACT

Este artigo aborda o luto por abandono e perdas na velhice, fundamentado na Teoria do Apego e na Psicologia do Luto. Consiste num estudo descritivo, do tipo relato de experiência, resultado da atuação num projeto de extensão realizado numa Instituição de Longa Permanência para Idosos de Fortaleza, CE, Brasil. Discute-se a caracterização do projeto EntreLAÇOS e o perfil do público atendido; o luto relacionado ao envelhecimento, ao abandono e à institucionalização, bem como intervenções em luto com idosos institucionalizados. Evidencia diferenças no luto de si mesmo pela velhice e por abandono de acordo com suas especificidades, embora se observem semelhanças nas reações emocionais entre essas perdas.


Este artículo trata sobre el duelo por abandono y pérdidas en la vejez, basado en la teoría del apego y en la psicología del dolor. Consiste en un estudio descriptivo, del tipo de informe de experiencia, resultado del desempeño en un proyecto de extensión llevado a cabo en una institución a largo plazo para ancianos en Fortaleza, CE, Brasil. Se discute la caracterización del proyecto EntreLAÇOS y el perfil del público servido; duelo relacionado con el envejecimiento, el abandono y la institucionalización; así como intervenciones de duelo con ancianos institucionalizados. Muestra diferencias en el duelo de uno mismo por la vejez y por el abandono de acuerdo con sus especificidades, aunque hay similitudes en las reacciones emocionales entre estas pérdidas.


This article addresses the mourning for abandonment and reproduction of old age, based on Theory of Attachment and on Psychology of Grief. It consists of a descriptive study, of the type of experience report, result of the performance in the extension project carried out in the Institution of Long Stay for the Elderly of Fortaleza, CE, Brazil. Discuss a characterization of the EntreLAÇOS project and the profile of the public served; mourning related to aging, abandonment and institutionalization; as well as reproduce in mourning with institutionalized elderly. Evidence of differences in ignition and abandonment according to their specificities, although there are similarities in the emotional changes between these changes.

ABSTRACT

Cancer is considered a public health problem. In childhood, has a high incidence and mortality. However, the cure increases with early diagnosis and appropriate treatments, performed by a multidisciplinary team. The psychologist is part of this team and the palliative care team, form of care offered to patients who do not have answers to curative treatments. The purpose of this paper is to review the role of the psychologist to help the child with cancer at all stages: from prevention to palliative care. This is a literature search based on: scientific articles bases Scielo Brazil and Virtual Health Library, books that depict the theme: Childhood Cancer, Psycho-Oncology, Palliative Care, and Death; bailout legislation. The research analysis allowed us to consider that there are many articles on childhood cancer, health psychology, palliative care, death and mourning but few on psycho-oncology and pediatric psychologist practicing in palliative care. The practice of psychologists in the context of childhood cancer is focused on support, counseling and rehabilitation, can be done at individual or group through qualified listening, answering questions, mediating between patient, family and staff. The psychologist can work in all phases of childhood cancer, therefore, become necessary more studies and publications in psychology.(AU)

ABSTRACT

Câncer é considerado problema de saúde pública. Na infância, apresenta alta incidência e mortalidade. Entretanto, a cura aumenta com diagnóstico precoce e tratamentos adequados, realizados por uma equipe multiprofssional. O psicólogo se insere nessa equipe e na equipe de cuidados paliativos, forma de cuidar oferecida para pacientes que não apresentam respostas a tratamentos curativos. A proposta desse trabalho é comentar a atuação do psicólogo na assistência à criança com câncer em todas as fases: da prevenção aos cuidados paliativos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfca baseada em: artigos científcos das bases Scielo Brasil e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde; livros que retratam as temáticas: Câncer Infantil, Psico-oncologia, Cuidados Paliativos, Morte e; resgate da legislação. A análise da pesquisa permitiu considerar que existem muitos artigos sobre câncer infantil, psicologia hospitalar, cuidados paliativos, morte e luto mas poucos sobre psico-oncologia pediátrica e prática do psicólogo em cuidados paliativos. A prática do psicólogo no contexto do câncer infantil é focada em apoio, aconselhando e reabilitação; pode ser feita a nível individual ou grupal, através de escuta qualifcada, esclarecimento de dúvidas, mediação entre paciente-família-equipe. O psicólogo pode trabalhar em todas as fases do câncer infantil, portanto, tornam-se necessários mais estudos e publicações na área da Psicologia..(AU)
