ABSTRACT

An elevated level of blood uric acid (UA) can cause the formation of kidney stones, gout, and other diseases. We recently isolated a few DNA aptamers that can selectively bind to UA. In this work, we investigated the adsorption of a UA aptamer and random sequence DNA onto sodium urate crystals. Both DNA strands adsorbed similarly to urate crystals. In addition, both the UA aptamer and random DNA can inhibit the growth of urate crystals, suggesting a nonspecific adsorption mechanism rather than specific aptamer binding. In the presence of 500 nM DNA, the growth of needle-like sodium urate crystals was inhibited, and the crystals appeared granular after 6 h. To understand the mechanism of DNA adsorption, a few chemicals were added to desorb DNA. DNA bases contributed more to the adsorption than the phosphate backbone. Surfactants induced significant DNA desorption. Finally, DNA could also be adsorbed onto real UA kidney stones. This study provides essential insights into the interactions between DNA oligonucleotides and urate crystals, including the inhibition of growth and interface effects of DNA on sodium urate crystals.

ABSTRACT

In order to explore novel natural product-based insecticidal agent, two important intermediates (2 and 3) and 4-acyloxy-2'-bromo-6'-chloropodophyllotoxin derivatives (4a-f and 5a-f) were designed and prepared, and their structures were confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, HRMS, ESI-MS, optical rotation and melting point (mp). The stereochemical configuration of compound 4b was unambiguously confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Moreover, we evaluated the insecticidal activity of target compounds 4a-f and 5a-f against a serious agricultural pest of Mythimna separata by using the leaf-dipping method. Among all tested compounds, compounds 4d, 5d and 5f exhibited stronger insecticidal activity with a final mortality rate exceeding 60%. Especially compound 5d exhibited the best insecticidal activity, with a final mortality rate of 74.1%. It has been proven that introducing bromine or chlorine atoms at the C-2', C-2' and C-6' positions of the E ring of podophyllotoxin can produce more potent compounds. In addition, the configuration of the C-4 position is important for insecticidal activity, and 4ß-configuration is optimal. This will pave the way for further design, structural modification, and development of derivatives of podophyllotoxin as insecticidal agents.

ABSTRACT

In order to enhance the quality of diamond composite materials, this work employs a Cu-Co-Fe and Ni-Cr-Cu pre-alloyed powder mixture as a transition layer, and utilizes laser-welding technology for saw blade fabrication. By adjusting the laser-welding process parameters, including welding speed and welding power, well-formed welded joints were achieved, and the microstructure and mechanical properties of the welded joints were investigated. The results demonstrate that the best welding performance was achieved at a laser power of 1600 W and a welding speed of 1400 mm/min, with a remarkable tooth engagement strength of up to 819 MPa. The fusion zone can be divided into rich Cu phase and rich Fe phase regions, characterized by coarse grains without apparent preferred orientation. The microstructure of the heat-affected zone primarily consists of high-hardness brittle quenched needle-like martensite, exhibiting a sharp increase in microhardness up to 550 HV. Fracture occurred at the boundary between the fusion zone and the heat-affected zone of the base material, where stress concentration was observed. By adjusting the welding parameters and transition layer materials, the mechanical properties of the joints were improved, thereby achieving a reliable connection between diamond composite materials and the metal substrate.

ABSTRACT

Oxidative stress plays important roles in the pathogenesis of early brain injury (EBI) after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Tat-NR2B9c has shown efficacy as a neuroprotective agent in several studies. Here, we identified the neuroprotective role of Tat-NR2B9c after SAH and its related mechanisms. The results showed that Tat-NR2B9c treatment attenuated oxidative stress, therefore alleviated neuronal apoptosis and neurological deficits after SAH. Tat-NR2B9c treatment could alleviate mitochondrial vacuolization induced by SAH. Compared to SAH + vehicle group, Tat-NR2B9c resulted in the decrease of Acetylated superoxide dismutase2 (Ac-SOD2), Bcl-2-associated X protein (Bax) and cleaved-caspase3 (CC3) protein expression, and the up-regulation of Sirtunin 3 (Sirt3) and Bcl-2 protein level. Moreover, Tat-NR2B9c attenuated excitotoxicity by inhibiting the interaction of PSD95-NR2B-nNOS. Our results demonstrated that Tat-NR2B9c inhibited oxidative stress via inhibition of PSD95-NR2B-nNOS complex formation after SAH. Tat-NR2B9c may serve as a potential treatment for SAH induced brain injury.

ABSTRACT

We hypothesized that the addition of milk fat globule membranes (MFGMs) to infant formula would improve its lipolysis, making it more similar to human milk (HM) and superior to commercial infant formula (CIF) in fat digestion. Therefore, we prepared two model infant formulas (MIFs) by adding MFGMs to dairy ingredients in different ways and compared their fat digestion behavior with those of HM and CIF. MFGMs were added alone (MIF1) and with other milk-based materials (MIF2) before homogenization. The addition of MFGMs reduced the flocculation of lipids and proteins in the gastric phase and promoted lipolysis in the intestine phase. The amount of free fatty acids released followed the order of HM > MIF1 > CIF ≥ MIF2. After digestion, the number of different glyceride species between each sample and HM reached 64 (MIF1), 73 (MIF2), 67 (CIF1), and 72 (CIF2). In conclusion, the fat digestion of MIF1 had the highest similarity with HM.

ABSTRACT

In order to explore novel natural product-based anti-oomycete agent, ten 2-acyloxyhinokitiol derivatives (5a-j) were designed and synthesised, and structurally confirmed by 1H NMR,13C NMR, HRMS, and melting point. The stereochemical configuration of compound 5f was unambiguously confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Furthermore, we evaluated the target compounds 5a-j as anti-oomycete activity against a serious agricultural disease of Phytophthora capsici. Among the ten hinokitiol ester derivatives tested, four compounds 5d, 5g, 5h and 5j had anti-oomycete activity higher than the positive control zoxamide (EC50 = 23.59 mg/L), and the EC50 values of 18.90, 20.62, 13.61 and 21.29 mg/L, respectively. Especially compound 5h exhibited the best anti-oomycete activity against P. capsici with EC50 value of 13.61 mg/L. Overall, the anti-oomycete activities of 2-acyloxyhinokitiol derivatives is higher than that of 2-sulfonyloxyhinokitiol derivatives. The results laid a good foundation for the subsequent synthesis of hinokitiol ester derivatives with significant anti-oomycete activity.

ABSTRACT

Layertronics, rooted in the layer Hall effect (LHE), is an emerging fundamental phenomenon in condensed matter physics and spintronics. So far, several theoretical and experimental proposals have been made to realize LHE, but all are based on antiferromagnetic systems. Here, using symmetry and tight-binding model analysis, we propose a general mechanism for engineering layertronics in a two-dimensional ferromagnetic multiferroic lattice. The physics is related to the band geometric properties and multiferroicity, which results in the coupling between Berry curvature and layer degree of freedom, thereby generating the LHE. Using first-principles calculations, we further demonstrate this mechanism in bilayer (BL) TcIrGe2S6. Due to the intrinsic inversion and time-reversal symmetry breakings, BL TcIrGe2S6 exhibits multiferroicity with large Berry curvatures at both the center and corners of the Brillouin zone. These Berry curvatures couple with the layer physics, forming the LHE in BL TcIrGe2S6. Our work opens a new direction for research on layertronics.

ABSTRACT

Objective: Some studies have proved that polyethylene glycol loxenatide (PEG-Loxe) has significant effects on controlling blood glucose and body weight in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), but there is still some controversy over the improvement of blood lipid profiles (BLP) and blood pressure (BP), and more evidences are needed to verify such effects. Therefore, this study was conducted to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the efficacy of PEG-Loxe in improving blood glucose (BG), BLP, BP, body mass index (BMI), and body weight (BW) in patients with T2DM for clinical reference. Methods: Randomized controlled trials (RCT) in which PEG-Loxe was applied to treat T2DM were retrieved by searching PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, Medline, Scopus, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, China Scientific Journal, Wanfang Data, and SinoMed databases. Outcome measures included BG, BLP, BP, BMI, and BW. RevMan 5.3 software was used to perform data analysis. Results: Eighteen trials were identified involving 2,166 patients. In experimental group 1,260 patients received PEG-Loxe alone or with other hypoglycemic agents, while in control group 906 patients received placebo or other hypoglycemic agents. In the overall analysis, PEG-Loxe significantly reduced the levels of glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), 2-h postprandial blood glucose (2-h PBG), BMI, and BW compared with control group. However, it had no obvious effect on total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), systolic blood pressure (SBP), and diastolic blood pressure (DBP). Conclusion: PEG-Loxe has better hypoglycemic effects compared with placebo in patients with T2DM, but could not significantly improved TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, SBP, and DBP. And the combination of conventional hypoglycemic drugs (CHD) and PEG-Loxe could more effectively improve the levels of HbA1c, FPG, 2-h PBG, TC, TG, BMI, and BW compared with CHD in T2DM patients. ABSTRACT

Chickpea protein isolate (CPI) typically exhibits limited emulsifying properties under various food processing conditions, including pH variations, different salt concentrations, and elevated temperatures, which limits its applications in the food industry. In this study, CPI-citrus pectin (CP) conjugates were prepared through the Maillard reaction to investigate the influence of various CP concentrations on the structural and emulsifying properties of CPI. With the CPI/CP ratio of 1:2, the degree of graft reached 35.54 %, indicating the successful covalent binding between CPI and CP. FT-IR and intrinsic fluorescence spectroscopy analyses revealed alterations in the secondary and tertiary structures of CPI after glycosylation modification. The solubility of CPI increased from 81.39 % to 89.59 % after glycosylation. Moreover, freshly prepared CPI emulsions showed an increase in interfacial protein adsorption (70.33 % to 92.71 %), a reduction in particle size (5.33 µm to 1.49 µm), and a decrease in zeta-potential (-34.9 mV to -52.5 mV). Simultaneously, the long-term stability of the emulsions was assessed by employing a LUMiSizer stability analyzer. Furthermore, emulsions prepared with CPI:CP 1:2 exhibited excellent stability under various environmental stressors. In conclusion, the results of this study demonstrate that the glycosylation is a valuable approach to improve the emulsifying properties of CPI.

ABSTRACT

Single crystals of the inter-metallic phase with composition Ti4Ni2C were serendipitously obtained by high-pressure sinter-ing of a mixture with initial chemical composition Ti2Ni. The Ti4Ni2C phase crystallizes in the Fd m space group and can be considered as a partially filled Ti2Ni structure with the C atom occupying an octa-hedral void. Ti4Ni2C is isotypic with Ti4Ni2O, Nb4Ni2C and Ta4Ni2C, all of which were studied previously by means of powder diffraction.

ABSTRACT

As an important woody oilseed species in China, Triadica sebifera is not only concerned with the substitution of traditional energy sources, but also plays a considerable role in coping with energy shortages. Accurately predicting the potential geographic distribution of Triadica sebifera in China and understanding its ecological needs are crucial for alleviating the energy crisis and effectively implementing energy substitution strategies. In this study, the potential geographic distribution of Triadica sebifera in China at contemporary and future periods was predicted based on the distribution data of Triadica sebifera in China and the environmental factor variables by Maxent model and ArcGIS software. The combination of important factors governing the potential geographic distribution of Triadica sebifera was assessed by the contribution of environmental factor variables. The accuracy of Maxent model's predictions was assessed by AUC values, TSS values and Kappa statistics. The results show that: High AUC and TSS values indicate high accuracy and performance of the model. The crucial environmental factors limiting the potential geographic distribution of Triadica sebifera are the temperature factor (mean air temperature of the driest quarter), precipitation factor (precipitation of the coldest quarter, precipitation of the wettest month), and the intensity of human activities (hf). The total suitable area for Triadica sebifera is 233.64 × 104 km2, primarily located in Yunnan, Sichuan, Hubei, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Guangdong province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; its high suitability area is 30.89 × 104 km2, accounting for 13.22% of the total suitable area, mainly distributed in Jiangxi, Sichuan and Hunan provinces in the shape of a cake. Under the four typical greenhouse gas emission concentration patterns in the 2050s and 2070s, the areas of high and medium suitable areas for Triadica sebifera will increase, while the area of its low suitable area will decrease. However, the total suitable area will remain relatively unchanged. Its potential suitable habitats show a trend of shifting towards lower latitudes and southeast regions. The study predicted the pattern of Triadica sebifera under different climate change conditions, which can provide guidance for future cultivation of Triadica sebifera as well as for biofuel development and utilization.

ABSTRACT

Background: Hypertension has become a part of the lives of many people worldwide. With the development, an increasing number of people have begun to control their hypertension through products of medicine food homology, such as Buyang Huanwu Decoction (BYHWD). However, there has been no objective review of the regulation of hypertension by BYHWD. Methods: As of 9 October 2023, this review made a detailed search of nine databases to look for random controlled trials (RCTs) focused on the use of BYHWD for treating hypertension. This was followed by network pharmacological analysis, and molecular docking assessment using AutoDockTools to explore the mode of action. Results: BYHWD was effective in reducing SBP (MD: 0.767; 95 % CI: 0.629, 0.905; p = 0.000), DBP (MD: 0.427; 95 % CI: 0.292, 0.561; p = 0.000), 24h SBP (MD: 0.665; 95 % CI: 0.368, 0.962; p = 0.000), 24h DBP (MD: 0.547; 95 % CI: 0.318, 0.777; p = 0.000), dSBP (MD: 0.625; 95 % CI: 0.395, 0.855; p = 0.000), dDBP (MD: 0.632; 95 % CI: 0.401, 0.862; p = 0.000), nSBP (MD: 0.859; 95 % CI: 0.340, 1.377; p = 0.001), nDBP (MD: 0.704; 95 % CI: 0.297, 1.112; p = 0.001), pv (MD: 1.311; 95 % CI: 0.363, 2.259; p = 0.007) and NIHSS (MD: 1.149; 95 % CI: 0.100, 2.199; p = 0.032), and elevating CER (OR = 2.848; 95 % CI: 1.388, 5.843; p = 0.004). However, BYHWD did not significantly reduce HCY, and there was no significant difference in the incidence of AE. In terms of the mechanism of action, the main active ingredient of BYHWD is quercetin, and the core targets are AKT1, MMP9, and others. Molecular docking also showed that quercetin mainly interacts with the amino acid residue CYS-28 of MMP2. Second, the KEGG analysis showed that BYHWD mainly act on HIF-1, Apelin, and cGMP-PKG signalling pathways, and GO analysis showed that it related to the apical part of the cell, circulatory system processes, and nuclear receptor activity. Conclusion: BYHWD can lowered blood pressure, reduced plasma viscosity, and restored neurological function with good tolerability, and had no significant effect on HCY levels. This study further demonstrated that quercetin is the main active ingredient of BYHWD that acts via the AKT1 and HIF-1 signalling pathways. These results provide new guidance for people's dietary choices by the general public.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: To describe the epidemiological time trends and gender, age and regional differences of gastric cancer in Asia during 1990-2019, and to analyze the association between the human development index (HDI) and the statistical indicators of the burden of disease. METHODS: Describing trends in age-standardized incidence rates (ASIR) and age-standardized mortality rate (ASMR) in Asia from 1990 to 2019 based on GBD-reported population-based surveillance of gastric cancer in Asia. Obtained ASIR, ASMR, and mortality to incidence ratios (MIR) for gastric cancer in different countries in 2019, with association analysis by Kruskal-Wallis nonparametric test. RESULTS: The annual percentage change in ASIR and ASMR in Asia from 1990 to 2019 was - 1.20% and - 1.91%. Male gastric cancer patients have higher ASIR and ASMR than female gastric cancer patients. Decreasing trends in ASIR and ASMR for the total population in five Asian regions. From 1990 to 2019, the average annual change in ASMR was - 2.45%, - 1.43%, - 0.53%, - 0.62%, and - 0.27% for Central Asia, East Asia, high-income Asia-Pacific, South Asia, and Southeast Asia, respectively (p < 0.05). Both incidence and mortality were concentrated in the age groups of 85-89 and 89-94 years. Classifying Asian countries into different levels of HDI, only MIR was associated with HDI levels. CONCLUSION: ASIR and ASMR of gastric cancer in the total population, different regions, and countries in Asia from 1990 to 2019 showed an overall decreasing trend. The MIR index is suggestive of survival rates and the role of cancer care in individual countries. Asian countries should develop different strategies for gastric cancer screening and prevention according to high-risk age, high-risk gender and HDI.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: Vascularized fibula flap transplantation is the most effective and common method to repair the jaw defects. In addition, implantation is the first choice to restore dentition on the graft fibula. Implants are usually implanted at least 6 months after fibula transplantation. Primary implantation of implants during surgery can restore the dentition earlier, but whether this method can achieve the same restorative effect as secondary implantation is still uncertain. This article aims to compare the survival rate and complications between primary and secondary implantation through meta-analysis. METHODS: This meta-analysis was conducted according to PRISMA protocol and the Cochrane Handbook of Systematic Reviews of Interventions. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, we selected the PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chinese BioMedical Literature Database (CBM) according to established inclusion and exclusion criteria. The Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) was used to assess the quality of the included studies. Meta-analysis was conducted to compare the survival rate and postoperative infection rate of primary and secondary implantation. RESULTS: Seven studies were involved in our research, involving 186 patients. Five of the studies detailed implant success in 106 patients (primary implantation 50, secondary implantation 56), and four studies documented infection after implantation in 117 patients (primary implantation 52, secondary implantation 65); the survival rate of the primary implantation was 93.3%, and the incidence of postoperative infection was 17.3%. The survival rate of the secondary implantation was 93.4%, and 23.1% had postoperative infection. Meta-analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the survival rate between primary implantation and secondary implantation, OR = 0.813 (95% CI 0.383-1.725, P = 0.589 > 0.05), and there was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative infection, OR = 0.614 (95% CI 0.239-1.581, P = 0.312 > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Based on the results of this study, the research found no significant difference in the survival rate or infection rates between primary and secondary implantation. After appropriate indications selection, primary implantation can be used to reconstruct the dentition with less waiting time, reduce the impact of radiotherapy, and bring a higher quality of life for patients.

ABSTRACT

Apoptosis, a programmed cell death mechanism, is a regulatory process controlling cell proliferation as cells undergo demise. Caspase-8 serves as a pivotal apoptosis-inducing factor that initiates the death receptor-mediated apoptosis pathway. In this investigation, we have devised an optogenetic method to swiftly modulate caspase-8 activation in response to blue light. The cornerstone of our optogenetic tool relies on the PHR domain of Arabidopsis thaliana cryptochrome 2, which self-oligomerizes upon exposure to blue light. In this study, we have developed two optogenetic approaches for rapidly controlling caspase-8 activation in response to blue light in cellular systems. The first strategy, denoted as Opto-Casp8-V1, entails the fusion expression of the Arabidopsis blue light receptor CRY2 N-terminal PHR domain with caspase-8. The second strategy, referred to as Opto-Casp8-V2, involves the independent fusion expression of caspase-8 with the PHR domain and the CRY2 blue light-interacting protein CIB1 N-terminal CIB1N. Upon induction with blue light, PHR undergoes aggregation, leading to caspase-8 aggregation. Additionally, the blue light-dependent interaction between PHR and CIB1N also results in caspase-8 aggregation. We have validated these strategies in both HEK293T and HeLa cells. The findings reveal that both strategies are capable of inducing apoptosis, with Opto-Casp8-V2 demonstrating significantly superior efficiency compared to Opto-Casp8-V1.

ABSTRACT

Meningeal lymphatic vessels (mLVs) were recently discovered to be involved in the waste drainage process in the brain, which has also been associated with a variety of neurological diseases. This research paper hypothesizes that the drainage function of mLVs may be affected after chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) and the alterations of mLVs' drainage may predict CSDH recurrence. In this prospective observational study, unenhanced 3D T2-fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (3D T2-FLAIR) MRI data were collected from CSDH patients and healthy participants for analysis. Patients with CSDH who underwent surgery received MRI scans before and after surgery, whereas healthy controls and patients with CSDH who received pharmaceutical treatment received only one MRI scan at enrollment. The signal unit ratio (SUR) of mLVs were then measured according to the MRI data and calculated to define mLVs' drainage function. Finally, the relationship between mLVs' drainage function and CSDH recurrence was analyzed accordingly. Thirty-four participants were enrolled in this study, including 27 CSDH patients and 7 controls. The SUR of mLVs in all CSDH patients changed significantly before and after surgery. Moreover, the drainage function of the mLVs ipsilateral to hematoma (mLVs-IH) in CSDH patients was significantly lower than that in the controls (p < 0.05). Last, a higher improvement rate of the drainage function of the mLVs-IH is correlated to a lower risk of recurrence (p < 0.05). This study revealed the mLVs' drainage dysfunction after CSDH through non-invasive MRI. Furthermore, the drainage function of mLVs is an independent predictive factor of CSDH recurrence.

ABSTRACT

Microplastics have attracted considerable attention because of concerns regarding their environmental risks to living systems. The interaction between the lipid bilayer and microplastics is important for examining the potential harm to biological membranes in the presence of microplastics. In addition, membrane coatings may change the surface and colloidal properties of microplastics. Herein, phosphatidylcholine (PC) lipids, whose headgroup is most common in cell membranes, were used as model lipids. The adsorption and rupture of PC liposomes on microplastics were systematically studied. We found that divalent metal ions, such as Mg2+ and Ca2+, facilitate liposome adsorption onto microplastics and induce 40-55% liposome leakage at 2.5 mM. In contrast, to achieve a similar effect, 300 mM Na+ was required. Adsorption and rupture followed the same metal concentration requirements, suggesting that liposome adsorption was the rate-limiting step. After adsorption with liposomes, microplastics became more hydrophilic and were better dispersed in water. A similar behavior was observed for all five types of tested microplastics, including PP, PE, PVC, PET, and PS. Leakage also occurred in ocean water. This study provides fundamental insights into the interactions between liposomes and microplastics and has implications for the colloidal and transport properties of microplastics.

ABSTRACT

Using 18ß-glycyrrhetinic acid (GA) as the lead compound, fourteen GA sulphonate derivatives (3a-n) were prepared by modifying its C-3 OH group, and their structures were well confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, HRMS and melting points. Moreover, we screened the anti-oomycete activity of these compounds against Phytophthora capsici by using the mycelial growth rate method. Among the fourteen GA sulphonate derivatives evaluated, four compounds 3f, 3j, 3k and 3l exhibited more potent anti-oomycete activity than that of the positive control zoxamide (EC50 = 25.17 mg/L), and had the median effective concentration (EC50) values of 23.04, 16.16, 22.55, and 13.93 mg/L, respectively. Especially compound 3l showed the best anti-oomycete activity against P. capsici with EC50 value of 13.93 mg/L. Overall, the introduction of sulfonyloxy groups at the C-3 position of GA has a significant impact on its anti-oomycete activity, and the corresponding derivative activity varies significantly with different substituents R.

ABSTRACT

The inter-metallic phase with composition Al0.88Cu0.94Fe0.18 was synthesized by high-temperature sinter-ing of a mixture with initial chemical composition Al78Cu48Fe13. Al0.88Cu0.94Fe0.18 adopts the CsCl structure type in space-group Pm m. The structure analysis revealed that one site is co-occupied by Al and Cu with a ratio of 0.88 (5):0.12 (5) and the other is co-occupied by Fe and Cu with a ratio of 0.2 (4):0.8 (4). The Al/Cu⋯Fe/Cu separation is 2.5465 (13) Å.

ABSTRACT

Heat shock transcription factors (Hsf) are pivotal as essential transcription factors. They function as direct transcriptional activators of genes regulated by thermal stress and are closely associated with various abiotic stresses. Asparagus (Asparagus officinalis) is a vegetable of considerable economic and nutritional significance, abundant in essential vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber. Nevertheless, asparagus is sensitive to environmental stresses, and specific abiotic stresses harm its yield and quality. In this context, Hsf members have been discerned through the reference genome, and a comprehensive analysis encompassing physical and chemical attributes, evolutionary aspects, motifs, gene structure, cis-acting elements, collinearity, and expression patterns under abiotic stresses has been conducted. The findings identified 18 members, categorized into five distinct subgroups. Members within each subgroup exhibited analogous motifs, gene structures, and cis-acting elements. Collinearity analysis unveiled a noteworthy pattern, revealing that Hsf members within asparagus shared one, two, and three pairs with counterparts in Arabidopsis, Oryza sativa, and Glycine max, respectively.Furthermore, members displayed tissue-specific expression during the seedling stage, with roots emerging as viable target tissue. Notably, the expression levels of certain members underwent modification under the influence of abiotic stresses. This study establishes a foundational framework for understanding Hsf members and offers valuable insights into the potential application of molecular breeding in the context of asparagus cultivation.
