ABSTRACT

In 48 patients with full teeth loss 272 implants were placed with subsequent oral rehabilitation by fixed and removable dental restorations. Clinical efficiency rates after 5 years of follow-up were 99.6% for implants and 98.2% for restorations. High osseointegration values were obtained with mean "Periotest" value to be 3.6 and bone level loss of 0.7 mm. Best osseointegration features were revealed in cases of fixed restorations retained by 8 and more implants.

ABSTRACT

The retrospective study included analysis of 5764 hospital records in maxillo-facial surgery unit of Samara State Medical University Clinic to reveal facial furuncles and carbuncles incidence and morbidity. Patients attended in 2007-2010 were included in the study. Treatment options in 380 patients with facial furuncles and carbuncles were also analyzed. The authors recommend early treatment in the in-patient maxillofacial unit and adequate active surgical tactic.

ABSTRACT

The article summarizes clinical experience on 1173 self-tapping cylindrical screw implants with polished neck and internal hexagon placed in 432 patients. The patients were followed-up for 38±3.7 months (1 to 7 years) after restorative phase of treatment. Final clinical effectiveness was 93.7%. Best results were obtained when placing implants 3 to 12 months after teeth extraction. Rational perspective in implant construction improvement is switched and universal platform approach.

ABSTRACT

Several options for bone tissue augmentation by dental implant procedures in upper incisors, canines and bicuspids area are described were are discussed in the study. Seventy-three patients were included in the study. Bone auto- and allogenic grafts, Β-3-calcium phosphate as well as their combination were used as osteoplastic materials. Guided tissue regeneration was performed if indicated, in some cases augmentation without membrane before implantation or simultaneously was carried-out. Bone augmentation results and pos-op esthetic features were analyzed in the study.

ABSTRACT

Surgical aspects of clinical use of 155 short surface porous dental implants were analyzed in the work. It was disclosed that surgical preparation of oral cavity for making prosthetics with the help of implants of the 5, 7 and 9 мм long was easy and appropriate method of treatment both for the doctor and the patient. It was proved that short surface porous dental implants placing provided significant reduction of the closest postoperative complications and statistically significant increase of summary clinical efficacy in comparison with the use of short screw implants and bone-plastic operations with further installation of screw implants of usual size.

ABSTRACT

In the period of 6 months after tooth 237 dental implants were installed. The loading was implemented in 1-4 weeks, 2-3 months and also 4-8 months after the operation. A significant correlation of the results of the early charge on the implants with the type of prosthetic construction was found out. The artificial crowns which splint dental implants and natural teeth proved to be the most effective. By such prosthetic treatment the successful outcomes were achieved the more often the earlier the charge begins. The results of the examination confirm the expediency of early dental implantation and early loading on implants.

ABSTRACT

In experiments on 24 rabbits it was found out that in the period from 2 to 6 weeks after the tooth had been extracted regenerative tissue in alveola went through the series of successive stages of maturation, beginning from indifferent areolar tissue and finishing with porous fibroreticular bone. Similar process of reparative osteogenesis took place around the implant after immediate dental implantation and young bone tissue had been formed during 2 months. In the area of artificial osseous defect under the membrane of allogenic lyophilic dura mater the adequate osteointegration of implants was observed, while without this membrane transgression of regeneration of the jaw-bone took place.

ABSTRACT

Epidemiological research of partial secondary adentia was done by means of telephone interviewing the population of city of Samara (1104 persons are interrogated). Prevalence and intensity of the disease in various age groups, and also average indices for all adult population are established. The share of the persons requiring for dental prosthetics among patients with defects of dental lines is determined. The same method investigates awareness of the population about dental implantation, and also the estimation is given to public opinion on treatment with the use of implants.

ABSTRACT

Based on the results of statistical analyses, the authors validate the need in development of a new optimal design of implants for replacement of removed mandibular molars. Two-cog (P-shaped) dental implants are suggested, which have been patented. Study of their biomechanical characteristics by digital experiments using three-dimensional final element simulation demonstrated the efficiency of this design of implants, particularly for direct and early implantation and confirmed the adequacy and validity of the two-cogs implants.

ABSTRACT

Early dental implantation no later than 6 months after tooth removal under conditions of incomplete reparative osteogenesis was carried out in 62 patients (120 implantations). At the stage of orthodontic treatment a device for tooth restoration and fixation of artificial crown, suggested by the authors, was used. The efficiency of dentures supported by implants and natural teeth simultaneously was evaluated. The incidence of unfavorable outcomes of treatment was 5.8% after surgical stage of treatment and 11.7% after the patients were fitted with orthodontic constructions; the patients were observed during 5 years. The utilization of removable dentures supported by implants in patients with a complicated somatic status was analyzed.

ABSTRACT

Immediate and early dental implantation helps timely restore the functional and cosmetic intactness of the maxillodental system. Seventy-four patients were operated on by these methods and 116 implants were inserted. The results were evaluated by common clinical, special computer-aided x-ray methods, and biopsy. Comparative studies proved that allogenic lyophilized dura mater membrane promoted recovery of the alveolar bone tissue structure and compactness, improved the implant osteointegration, and reduced the incidence of unfavorable outcomes.

ABSTRACT

The installation of titanic screw two-stage dental implants and simultaneous alveolar ridge plasty with demineralizated lyophilizated bone allografts was performed in early terms--3-17 weeks after the tooth extraction. The tissue shaving picked under the implant bed preparation was exposed to histology analysis to determine the initial conditions for early implantation. 23 patients were operated on and 41 implants were installed. The successful osteointegration was reached in 95.1% cases. The full restoration of bone density and thickness after complete treatment was confirmed by computer tomography.
