ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: The use of new technologies boosted Industry 4.0, making processes more sophisticated and considering the interaction between physical production systems and workers. But these new technologies also intervene in the worker's quality of life (QoL), that is, we need to know if the industry of the future is changing the scenario of the present. OBJECTIVE: This study aims to identify trends in study topics related to QoL in Industry 4.0. METHODS: A bibliometric mapping analysis was performed without temporal delimitation in the Scopus, Web of Science and PubMed databases. RESULTS: The results show that: (i) the publications most aligned with the theme are from 2016 onwards; (ii) the greatest growth in publications on the subject occurred between the years 2019, 2020 and 2021; (iii) the Journal Sustainability was the most relevant journal on the subject in recent years; (iv) Turkey stood out as the most cited country in the field of study; (v) there are collaboration networks between authors in several countries, including Denmark, Italy and Poland; (vi) with the analysis of the thematic map, it is possible to identify which themes are the motor, specialized, emerging, missing, or basic from the research field and; (vii) the sub-themes that appeared the most in the surveys were work environment, impact of Industry 4.0, robots, health and well-being, digitalization and job satisfaction. CONCLUSION: In addition to being a relevant source of information, where readers find future thematic trends in the field of research, it is hoped that the contributions of this study will provide insights for researchers, academics and society in general.

ABSTRACT

E-health can be defined as a set of technologies applied with the help of the internet, in which healthcare services are provided to improve quality of life and facilitate healthcare delivery. As there is a lack of similar studies on the topic, this analysis uses a systematic literature review of articles published from 2014 to 2019 to identify the most common e-health practices used worldwide, as well as the main services provided, diseases treated, and the associated technologies that assist in e-health practices. Some of the key results were the identification of the four most common practices used (mhealth or mobile health; telehealth or telemedicine; technology; and others) and the most widely used technologies associated with e-health (IoT, cloud computing, Big Data, security, and systems).

ABSTRACT

This study aims to profile the scientific retractions published in journals indexed in the Web of Science database from 2010 to 2019, from researchers at the top 20 World Class Universities according to the Times Higher Education global ranking of 2020. Descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and simple linear regression were used to analyze the data. Of the 330 analyzed retractions, Harvard University had the highest number of retractions and the main reason for retraction was data results. We conclude that the universities with a higher ranking tend to have a lower rate of retraction.

ABSTRACT

Abstract This article aimed to simulate the new method proposed by the Brazilian Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, CAPES) for the classification of Qualis 2017-2020 by tracing the path that led to the B3 stratification attributed to the journal Brazilian Archives of Biology and Technology (BABT). Data collection was based on the evaluation of articles published between 2017 and 2018 to obtain the Lattes curricula of the author(s). Other goals were to verify their participation in stricto sensu postgraduate programs recognized by CAPES; to identify the program's evaluation area according to CAPES; and to establish the association of authors/co-authors with their respective countries. Overall 199 articles were identified, with 897 authors/co-authors, 359 of which are associated with Brazilian institutions. A participation of at least one Brazilian author/co-author could be verified in 69 articles, out of which 60 had at least one professor affiliated to a stricto sensu postgraduate program recognized by CAPES. There was professors linked to 26 of the 49 CAPES evaluation areas, whereby the highest number of publications were Food Science and Agrarian Sciences I, both with 16 occurrences each. It was verified that the criteria established by the CAPES' guiding document were not adequately followed. It could be concluded that the journal BABT should have been classified in the stratum A2, with a possible oscillation between A1 and A4, so that its classification as a B3 publication is out of the range foreseen in CAPES' established criteria.

ABSTRACT

Abstract We objectified to analyze the medal board of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games considering the number of inhabitants and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of medalist countries. We inferred that the first positions of the Paralympic Games medal table used by the media were occupied by countries with greater economic potential, which was reinforced by Spearman correlation calculations between the variables investigated in this study. We also noted that Brazil, even not having obtained poor performance, has a great potential for improvement in the number of gold and total medals, given its population size and GDP.

ABSTRACT

Abstract The objective of this study was to construct and validate an instrument that evaluates the Quality of Work Life (QWL) globally, following the WHOQOL instruments and founded in QWL's classical theoretical models, directed to the contemporary society. The psychometric properties tested were content validity, face validity, internal consistency, criterion validity, concurrent validity and test-retest reliability in an application to 283 individuals. The final version of the instrument is constituted by 47 questions, being five to sample knowledge and 42 divided in five spheres that contemplate QWL's dimensions. For the results calculation a SPSS syntax and a tool in Microsoft Excel that perform the automated calculation after the data tabulation were developed. The psychometric properties tested were satisfactory. We conclude that the goal of validating a global instrument for evaluation of QWL from the contemporary society culture with satisfactory psychometrical characteristics was reached.

ABSTRACT

Abstract: The present article aims to analyze the WHOQOL-DIS (World Health Organization Quality of Life - Disabilities) structure to verify this instrument's adequacy to the theoretical principles underlying its construction. The methodology consists in an analysis of the WHOQOL-DIS underlying theory, prompting questions about the adequacies of this theoretical model. The procedure is complemented by a syntax analysis in order to verify the relevant questions for the score calculation. The obtained results show that the subjects "participation" and "autonomy" are not objectively present in the international version, although they are considered in the theories as justifying elements for the instrument's creation. In the Brazilian version, there are questions addressed to the themes. However, these questions are also not factored into the score calculation. In conclusion, the presence of autonomy and participation in the Brazilian version of WHOQOL-DIS represents a proximity with the theoretical assumptions underlying its creation. However, because they do not compose the score calculation, this adequacy is still limited.

ABSTRACT

Abstract Researchers receiving grant from the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) are a reference group in Brazilian academia. Therefore, the aim of this study was to analyze the 30 journals with the highest number of publications of researchers in the Physical Education area who received grants in the 2010-2012 triennium. From this analysis, the relevance of journals in the Physical Education area was also evaluated. For the accounting of publications, the scriptLattes v8.07 software was used. The 88 researchers in Physical Education area published 2600 papers in 530 different journals in the 2010-2012 triennium. It was found that among the 30 journals with the highest number of publication, 19 are published in Brazil; from “Top 10”, eight journals are published in Brazil. Concerning journals that have publications of researchers who have received grants of all categories/levels, of the 11 journals that meet this requirement, seven are published in Brazil. It was concluded that, however Brazilian journals are minority in the upper stratum of Webqualis in the Physical Education area, they still stand as the main communication vehicle of elite researcher in the area.
