ABSTRACT

We report the case of a 70-year-old man with a spindlecelllipoma on his right sole, a rare site that has heretoforebeen reported only in three instances. Microscopically, thetumor consists of mature adipose tissue with interspersedspindle cells, and features a myxoid matrix rich in bloodvessels. The immunohistochemical study reveals CD-34positivity in the spindle cells. The differential diagnosisincludes angiomyxolipoma and atypical lipomatoustumors
