ABSTRACT
Two new species of Stenochironomus Kieffer, 1919 are described in Brazil. New records of Stenochironomus nudipupa Borkent, 1984 and S. gladius Borkent, 1984 from Brazil, new data on geographical distribution of S. jubatus Borkent, 1984 and S. triannulatus Borkent, 1984 from the State of Roraima, and S. bacrionis Borkent, 1984 recorded from the State of Amazonas, as well as emended descriptions of immature stages of S. triannulatus Borkent, 1984 and S. reissi Borkent, 1984 are also presented.

Quatro larvas foram coletadas em água retida pelo fungo Aquascypha hydrophora (Berk.) Reid (Fungi: Stereaceae) fixo em troncos de árvores eretas, na Reserva Florestal Adolpho Ducke, Amazonas, Brasil. Das larvas coletadas, apenas um exemplar desenvolveu até a fase adulta, sendo identificado como Polypedilum (Tripodura) amataura Bidawid-Kafka, 1996. Esta é a primeira descrição para uma forma imatura deste gênero, e também o primeiro registro em micotelmata.
Four larvae were collected in water with the fungus Aquascyphahydrophora (Berk.) Reid (Fungi: Stereaceae), fixed in tree trunks found in the Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve, Amazonas, Brazil. Only one specimem reached the adult phase, which was identified as Polypedilum (Tripodura) amataura Bidawid-Kafka, 1996. This is the first description of an immature form of this genus, and also the first registered in mycotelmata.

Este trabalho apresenta a descrição de uma nova do gênero Larsia Fittkau, 1962 (Diptera: Chironomidae: Tanypodinae). O gênero até o momento está representado por 23 espécies no mundo. Na região Neotrópica, segundo Spies & Reiss (1996) já foram assinaladas quatro espécies, sendo três na Guatemala, L. fittkaui Sublette & Sasa, 1994, L. planensis Johannsen, 1946, L. reissi Sublette & Sasa, 1994 e uma na Argentina, L. pallescens Edwards, 1931. A espécie nova foi coletada no Estado do Rio de Janeiro, procedente de Araras, município Petrópolis, RJ sendo o primeiro registro do gênero no Brasil. Os exemplares testemunhos estão depositados na Coleção Entomológica do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz.
