ABSTRACT

Recently, novel algorithms and enhanced computational capabilities have created unprecedented opportunities to precisely determine the geometric structures of clusters through theoretical calculations. In this study, we extensively investigated and characterized the geometric arrangements of the carbon clusters Cn (n = 2-60), employing the efficient ABCluster algorithm in conjunction with the gradient-corrected PBE and higher-accuracy B3LYP hybrid functional in density functional theory (DFT). New structures and a discernible structural growth pattern have been discovered. We observed a distinct preference in carbon clusters that transform from the linear chains (n = 2-9) to closed single-ring and planar structures (n = 10-27) and finally evolve to carbon cages (n = 28-60). A shortcut to construct the cage clusters was unveiled by inserting or rotating specific atoms within a distinct structural unit. The research results obtained from combining ABCluster with DFT calculations offer valuable new insights into the growth mechanisms and evolutionary trajectories of carbon clusters, providing a crucial theoretical framework for the development of innovative carbon-based materials and their potential applications.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Nursing interns often faced moral distress in clinical practice, similar to registered nurses, which can lead to compassion fatigue. The roles of moral resilience and professional identity in influencing the psychological well-being of nursing interns are recognized, but the interrelationships among moral distress, moral resilience, professional identity, and compassion fatigue in this group remain unclear. OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to investigate the impact of moral distress on compassion fatigue among nursing interns and to explore the mediating role of moral resilience and professional identity. METHODS: A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted with 467 nursing interns. Data were collected using Compassion Fatigue Short Scale, Moral Distress Scale-revised, Rushton Moral Resilience Scale, and Professional Identity Scale. Data analyses were performed using SPSS 22.0 and Amos 21.0, adhering to the STROBE statement. RESULTS: The mean scores for compassion fatigue, moral distress, moral resilience, and professional identity were 35.876, 44.887, 2.578, and 37.610, respectively. Moral distress was positively correlated with compassion fatigue. Structural equation modeling showed that moral resilience and professional identity partially mediated the relationship between moral distress and compassion fatigue (ß = 0.448, P < 0.001). CONCLUSION: The findings suggest that moral distress directly influences compassion fatigue among nursing interns and also exerts an indirect effect through moral resilience and professional identity. Interventions aimed at enhancing moral resilience and fostering a strong professional identity may help mitigate the adverse effects of moral distress on compassion fatigue among nursing interns.

ABSTRACT

Purpose: While the benefits of exercises for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are well-established, the relative effectiveness of different exercise types for stable COPD remains unclear. This network meta-analysis aims to investigate the comparative effects of aerobic exercise (AE), resistance training (RT), endurance training (ET), and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) in stable COPD. Methods: Electronic searches were performed in PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane library to identify relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating the effects of exercises on 6-minute walk test distance (6MWD), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), and forced vital capacity (FVC), and St. George's Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ) score. Two authors screened the retrieved articles, extracted relevant data, and assessed the risk of bias. Network meta-analysis was conducted using Stata 14.0. Results: This study included a total of 19 studies involving 951 patients with stable COPD. HIIT emerged as the most favorable exercise type for enhancing 6MWD, with a probability of 82.9%. RT exhibited the greatest efficacy in reducing SGRQ scores, with probability of 49.8%. Notably, ET demonstrated superiority in improving FEV1 and FVC, with probabilities of being most effective at 78.1% and 42.0%, respectively. Conclusion: This study suggests that HIIT may be a viable intervention for improving exercise capacity in stable COPD patients, compared to AE, RR, and ET. RT may hold promise for improving quality of life, and ET may demonstrate superiority in improving pulmonary function. However, variation in response likely depends on patient characteristics, program parameters, and delivery context. Future research should explore the synergistic effects of combining RT with ET/HIIT, focusing on patient subgroups, optimal dosing, and settings, as current guidelines indicate this combination may offer the most significant benefits.

ABSTRACT

Partial great toe transfer is widely used in finger reconstruction. Although satisfactory results have been reported at the recipient's hand, the donor foot still presents with many problems due to the large amount of tissues harvested. In this study, the Ilizarov technique was utilized to enlarge the great toe in order to minimize the amount of tissue sacrificed of the donor foot. In this retrospective study, 23 patients (30 toes) underwent transverse distraction of the great toe for finger reconstruction from September 2020 to December 2022. The width of the contralateral normal finger was set as the objective width gained of distraction. At the last follow-up, the changes of bone, toenail, plantar skin, vessel, and nerve of the great toe were measured, and postoperative complications were assessed. The time for active distraction was 46.1 ± 8.3 days, with a widening rate of 0.41 ± 0.08 mm/day. Counting in the time for latency and consolidation, the time of treatment with external fixation was 84 ± 11.9 days. At the last follow-up, the average width of the distal phalanx of the great toe increased from 13.1 to 28.1 mm (p < 0.001). The width of the toenail increased from 15.8 to 30.3 mm (p < 0.001), and the width of the plantar pulp increased from 25.6 to 38.8 mm (p < 0.001). Computed tomography angiography (CTA) and Doppler ultrasound confirmed that the digital arteries and nerves of the great toe were intact after distraction surgery. Two patients needed revision surgery due to complications of pin loosening or premature consolidation. With the help of the Ilizarov technique, the great toe is effectively enlarged after transverse distraction. Multiple tissues of the great toe, including bone, nail, and plantar skin, are regenerated, and more tissues were preserved after toe-to-hand transfer. To the best of our knowledge, this is a novel method to enlarge the donor site for finger reconstruction.

ABSTRACT

Background: Head and neck paragangliomas (HNPGLs) are rare neuroendocrine tumors that pose significant challenges in both diagnosis and treatment. The pathogenic mechanism remains unclear, and there is no proteomic analysis-based molecular classification. Therefore, gaining a deeper understanding of this disease from the protein level is crucial because proteins play a fundamental role in the occurrence and development of tumors. Methods: We collected 44 tumor samples from patients diagnosed with HNPGL. The adrenal paraganglioma tissue (N = 46) was used as the disease control group and the chorda tympani nerves (N = 18) were used as the control group. High-pH reversed-phase liquid chromatography and liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry analyses were used to build an integrated protein database of tumor samples. We then obtained two sets of differentially expressed proteins between the tumor group and the control group to identify the unique proteomic signatures of HNPGLs. Ingenuity pathway analysis annotations were used to perform the functional analysis. Subsequently, we developed a clinically relevant molecular classification for HNPGLs that connected the clinical characteristics with meaningful proteins and pathways to explain the varied clinical manifestations. Results: We identified 6,640 proteins in the HNPGL group, and 314 differentially expressed proteins unique to HNPGL were discovered via inter-group comparison. We identified two HNPGL subgroups that significantly differed in clinical manifestation and proteomic characteristics. On the basis of the proteomic results, we proposed a pathogenic mechanism underlying HNPGL. Conclusion: We conducted a comprehensive analysis of the molecular mechanisms of HNPGL to build, for the first time, a clinically relevant molecular classification. By focusing on differential proteomic analyses between different types of paragangliomas, we were able to obtain a comprehensive description of the proteomic characteristics of HNPGL, which will be valuable for the search for significant biomarkers as a new treatment method for HNPGL.

BACKGROUND: Compassion fatigue in nursing interns contributes to career indecision and worsens the nursing shortage. While work environment and psychological factors are well-studied, the ethical dimension remains unexplored. Understanding these mechanisms, particularly the role of moral courage, is essential for designing interventions to combat compassion fatigue and address the workforce crisis. This study investigates the influence of moral courage on compassion fatigue among Chinese nursing interns, focusing on the mediating roles of moral sensitivity and professional identity. METHODS: A quantitative, cross-sectional study was conducted in accordance with the STROBE guidelines. We used the convenience sampling method to recruit 467 nursing interns from four public junior colleges in Hunan Province, China in February, 2024. Data were collected using Compassion Fatigue Short Scale, Moral Courage Scale, Revised Moral Sensitivity Questionnaire, and Professional Identity Scale. Data analyses were conducted using SPSS 22.0 and Amos 21.0. RESULTS: The modified model exhibited a good fit (χ2/df = 3.437, AGFI = 0.928, IFI = 0.984, TLI = 0.976, CFI = 0.984, NFI = 0.977, RMSEA = 0.072). Moral sensitivity positively influenced both moral courage and professional identity, while professional identity negatively impacted compassion fatigue. Importantly, the effect of moral courage on compassion fatigue was entirely mediated by moral sensitivity and professional identity (ß = -0.114, P = 0.001). CONCLUSION: This study suggests that moral courage in nursing interns mitigates compassion fatigue through the combined mediating effects of moral sensitivity and professional identity. Ethics education programs fostering moral courage, moral sensitivity, and professional values in nursing students could be crucial in alleviating compassion fatigue.

ABSTRACT

Objective:This study aims to discuss the necessity,surgical method and effect of reconstruction of internal carotid artery (ICA) in the resection of paraganglioma of head and neck. Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the data of the patients who underwent head and neck paraganglioma resection and ICA reconstruction in Peking Union Medical College Hospital from May 2015 to August 2023. The demographic characteristics, preoperative examinations, diagnoses, surgical techniques, and follow-up information were collected. Results:Six patients were enrolled, including four females and two males, with an average age of(39.8±13.0) years. All the patients presented mainly complaining local masses with or without pain. Four cases underwent surgery through Fisch infratemporal fossa approach type A+B, and one through approach type A and one through transcervical approach. Five patients had vascular reconstruction using the great saphenous vein while one patient used an artificial vessel. The average follow-up period was(43.8±31.6) months. One patient had tumor recurrence after 3 years and underwent second surgery to remove the residual tumor, and the other 5 patients had no tumor recurrence. One patient had acute bridging vessel embolism, and the other was found to have occlusion of the bridging vessel at follow-up. Conclusion:Carotid revascularization during resection of paraganglioma of head and neck is an important technique to completely remove the tumor, cure the disease, ensure intracranial blood supply, and reduce cerebrovascular complications. The "pre-reconstruction technique " is an effective method to minimize the duration of brain blood flow interruption, compared to traditional carotid revascularization. Close observation is necessary, along with regular radiological examinations to assess the patency of transplanted vessels, and the residual or recurrent tumors.

ABSTRACT

Pseudoprogression (PSP) is a related reaction of glioblastoma treatment, and misdiagnosis can lead to unnecessary intervention. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) provides cross-modality images for PSP prediction studies. However, how to effectively use the complementary information between the cross-modality MRI to improve PSP prediction is still a challenging task. To address this challenge, we propose a cross-modality feature interaction network for PSP prediction. Firstly, we propose a triple-branch multi-scale module to extract low-order feature representations and a skip-connection multi-scale module to extract high-order feature representations. Then, a cross-modality interaction module based on attention mechanism is designed to make the complementary information between cross-modality MRI fully interact. Finally, the high-order cross-modality interaction information is fed into a multi-layer perceptron to achieve the PSP prediction task. We evaluate the proposed network on a private dataset with 52 subjects from Hunan Cancer Hospital and validate it on a private dataset with 30 subjects from Xiangya Hospital. The accuracy of our proposed network on the datasets is 0.954 and 0.929, respectively, which is better than most typical convolutional neural network and interaction methods.

BACKGROUND: Moral distress seriously affects professional nurses, and a number of instruments have been developed to measure the level of moral distress. The moral distress thermometer (MDT) is one of the commonly used instruments that can rapidly measure real-time moral distress; however, it remains unclear whether it is still useful in the Chinese cultural context. AIM: This study aimed to adapt and validate the MDT among Chinese registered nurses. RESEARCH DESIGN: An online, cross-sectional, survey study of adapting and validating Chinese version of MDT. PARTICIPANTS AND RESEARCH CONTEXT: A total of 182 registered nurses effectively finished this survey. The correlation between MDT score and the score of the moral distress scale-revised version (MDS-R) was used for evaluating convergent validity, and MDT scores of registered nurses who working in different departments and who made different actions to the final question of the MDS-R were compared by using one-way ANOVA to evaluate construct validity. ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS: The Ethics Committee of Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital approved this study. RESULTS: The Chinese version of MDT was described as relevant to measure moral distress, with a reported item-level content validity index (I-CVI) and scale-level CVI (S-CVI) of 1. The mean MDT score and mean MDS-R score were 2.54 and 38.66, respectively, and the correlation between these two scores was significantly moderate (r = 0.41). Nurses working different departments reported different levels of moral distress, and those working in intensive care unit reported the highest level of moral distress than those working in other departments (p = 0.04). The MDT scores between nurses who presented different actions to their position were also significantly different, and those who had ever left and those who had considered leaving but did not leave reported significantly higher moral distress. CONCLUSION: The MDT is a reliable, valid, and easy-to-use instrument to rapidly measure the real-time moral distress of registered nurses in China.

ABSTRACT

The enantioselective and diastereoselective control of 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions to ß-substituted cyclic enones has been developed. The 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of phthalazinium dicyanomethanides with cyclic dienones affords chiral tetrahydropyrrolo[2,1-a]phthalazine derivatives 3 through vinylogous iminium ion activation by combining a cinchona-based primary amine C3 and a chiral camphorsulfonic acid additive. Conversely, with a weaker 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzoic acid additive, the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of phthalazinium dicyanomethanides with ß-substituted cyclic enones leads to chiral hexahydroisoindolo[1,2-a]phthalazin-10(8H)-one derivatives 4 with excellent stereocontrol via endo-dienamine activation.

Lonicera japonica plays a significant role in traditional Chinese medicine and as a food source, making it a focus of studies on protein succinylation and its potential role in regulating secondary metabolism during flower development. This study aimed to clarify the regulatory mechanism of protein succinylation on phenylpropanoid-related phenotypic changes by conducting a global lysine succinylation proteomic analysis across different flowering stages. A total of 586 lysine succinylated peptides in 303 proteins were identified during early and late floral stages. Functional enrichment analysis revealed that succinylated proteins primarily participated in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, amino acid metabolism, and secondary metabolism. The abundance of succinylated aspartate transaminase (AT), 4-coumarate-CoA ligase (4CL), and phenylalanine N-hydroxylase (CYP79A2) in phenylpropanoid metabolism varied during flower development. In vitro experiments demonstrated that succinylation increased AT activity while inhibited 4CL activity. Decreased levels of total flavonoids and phenolic acids indicated significant alterations in phenylpropanoid metabolism during later floral stages. These results suggest that succinylation of TCA cycle proteins not only influences flower development but also, together with AT-4CL-CYP79A2 co-succinylation, redirects phenylpropanoid metabolism during flower development in L. japonica.

ABSTRACT

Ammonia (NH3) potentially harms human health, the ecosystem, industrial and agricultural production, and other fields. Therefore, the detection of NH3 has broad prospects and important significance. Ti3C2Tx is a common MXene material that is great for detecting NH3 at room temperature because it has a two-dimensional layered structure, a large specific surface area, is easy to functionalize on the surface, is sensitive to gases at room temperature, and is very selective for NH3. This review provides a detailed description of the preparation process as well as recent advances in the development of gas-sensing materials based on Ti3C2Tx MXene for room-temperature NH3 detection. It also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of various preparation and synthesis methods for Ti3C2Tx MXene's performance. Since the gas-sensitive performance of pure Ti3C2Tx MXene regarding NH3 can be further improved, this review discusses additional composite materials, including metal oxides, conductive polymers, and two-dimensional materials that can be used to improve the sensitivity of pure Ti3C2Tx MXene to NH3. Furthermore, the present state of research on the NH3 sensitivity mechanism of Ti3C2Tx MXene-based sensors is summarized in this study. Finally, this paper analyzes the challenges and future prospects of Ti3C2Tx MXene-based gas-sensitive materials for room-temperature NH3 detection.

ABSTRACT

Cimicifuga dahurica (C. dahurica) is an important medicinal plant in the northern region of China. The best supplemental light environment helps plant growth, development, and metabolism. In this study, we used two-year-old seedlings as experimental materials. The white light as the control (CK). The different ratios of red (R) and blue (B) combined light were supplemented (T1, 2R: 1B, 255.37 µmol m-2·s-1; T2, 3R: 1B, 279.69 µmol m-2·s-1; T3, 7R: 1B, 211.16 µmol m-2·s-1). The growth characteristics, photosynthetic pigment content, photosynthesis and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters, and primary metabolite content were studied in seedlings. The results showed that: 1) The fresh weight from shoot, root, and total fresh weight were significantly (P < 0.05) increased under T2 and T3 treatment. 2) The contents of chlorophyll a (Chl a), chlorophyll b (Chl b), and total chlorophyll (Chl) were significantly (P < 0.05) increased under T2 treatment, and carotenoid (car) content was reduced. 3) The photochemical quenching (qP), the actual photosynthetic efficiency of PSII (Y(II)), and the photosynthetic electron transfer rate (ETR) from leaves were significantly (P < 0.05) increased under T1 treatment. The Net photosynthetic rate (Pn), stomatal conductance (Gs), intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci), and transpiration rate (Tr) were significantly (P < 0.05) increased under T2 and T3 treatments. 4) A total of 52 primary metabolites were detected in C. dahurica leaves. Compared with CK, 14, 15, and 18 differential metabolites were screened under T1, T2, and T3 treatments. In addition, D-xylose, D-glucose, glycerol, glycolic acid, and succinic acid were significantly (P < 0.05) accumulated under the T2 treatment, which could regulate the TCA cycle metabolism pathway. The correlation analysis suggested that plant growth was promoted by regulating the change of D-mannose content in galactinol metabolism and amino sugar and nucleotide sugar metabolism. In summary, the growth of C. dahurica was improved under T2 treatment.

ABSTRACT

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is a central policy within China's regional development and foreign trade strategy. Traditional trade has typically depended on economic valuation of resources, while the embedded environmental value is rarely considered. This situation exists in most BRI trade evaluations. To address BRI environmental sustainability issues, we consider the role of pivotal Chinese provinces and their key trade partners (ASEAN countries) as an illustration for the environmental value of resource exchanges. Emergy accounting is used as the valuation tool for a sample period of seventeen years. Key results include: (1) Emergy valuations show sustainability of sample provinces decreased over time; (2) ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam play significant resource roles for provincial economic systems; (3) Diverse trends in trade between pivotal provinces and ASEAN countries resulted in an unbalanced trade structure from trade. Policy implications are proposed to promote a more globally sustainable and fair trade using BRI as an established trade policy.

This paper aims to verify the impact of capital structure on business model innovation and firm performance and the mediating effect of business model innovation. We use the data of the Chinese growth enterprises market (GME) listed high-tech firms from 2016 to 2022 as a dynamic panel data model with the system-generalized method of moments (sys-GMM), adopting return on asset and earning per share as firm performance. Our results show that capital structure has a lag effect on firm performance. The total debt ratio in the last period has a significant non-linear impact on the performance and business model innovation level of nowadays, presenting a U-shaped relationship. The first-order lag short-term debt ratio positively improves firm performance. Business model innovation significantly promotes better firm performance, and business model innovation does exist in the mediating effect between enterprise capital structure and its performance. These results remain robust to different sample sizes or proxy variables. This paper proposes some suggestions for firm operations and government policies based on the findings.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Reducing the annotation burden is an active and meaningful area of artificial intelligence (AI) research. METHODS: Multiple datasets for the segmentation of two landmarks were constructed based on 41 257 labelled images and 6 different microsurgical scenarios. These datasets were trained using the multi-stage transfer learning (TL) methodology. RESULTS: The multi-stage TL enhanced segmentation performance over baseline (mIOU 0.6892 vs. 0.8869). Besides, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) achieved a robust performance (mIOU 0.8917 vs. 0.8603) even when the training dataset size was reduced from 90% (30 078 images) to 10% (3342 images). When directly applying the weight from one certain surgical scenario to recognise the same target in images of other scenarios without training, CNNs still obtained an optimal mIOU of 0.6190 ± 0.0789. CONCLUSIONS: Model performance can be improved with TL in datasets with reduced size and increased complexity. It is feasible for data-based domain adaptation among different microsurgical fields.

ABSTRACT

Objective: Paradoxical embolism from right-to-left shunting is a common cause of cryptogenic stroke in the young. Circulatory ischemia of the cochlea is closely connected with severe-to-profound sudden sensorineural hearing loss. This study aimed to explore the role of paradoxical embolism in severe-to-profound sudden sensorineural hearing loss in juveniles and young adults. Methods: From August 2021 to September 2022, consecutive outpatients under 35 years of age with severe-to-profound sudden hearing loss were included in the study. Routine auditory electrophysiological testing and contrast transcranial Doppler ultrasonography (c-TCD) were conducted, and the results were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Seven patients (age: 19.4 ± 6.5 years) were enrolled, including 5 juveniles and 2 young adults. Three patients had severe deafness, and 4 patients had profound deafness. Right-to-left shunting was detected in all patients through c-TCD. Patent foramen ovale was found in 2 patients while pulmonary arteriovenous fistula was found in 1 patient through contrast transthoracic echocardiography or cardiac catheterization. No patients had precipitating factors for sudden sensorineural hearing loss, and none had abnormalities on head magnetic resonance imaging. Six patients underwent whole-exome sequencing, and no known deafness gene variant was detected. After standard treatment for 1 month, 2, 3, and 2 patients had complete, slight, and no hearing recovery, respectively. Conclusions: Paradoxical embolism is a possible cause of severe-to-profound sudden sensorineural hearing loss in juveniles and young adults. In young patients, c-TCD is an effective screening tool to detect right-to-left shunting, while contrast transthoracic echocardiography is a complementary examination to c-TCD.

Spiritual self-care is defined as a set of patient-centered or family-centered spiritual activities aimed at promoting health and well-being. In chronic diseases such as cancer, the responsibility for care typically falls on the patient or their family, necessitating an accurate assessment of the patient's self-care practices to achieve this goal. The objective of this study was to translate, culturally adapt, and examine the psychometrics of the Persian version of the spiritual self-care practice scale (SSCPS) in cancer patients. This scale is designed to be administered directly to patients to assess their spiritual self-care practices. This cross-sectional study was conducted at the oncology ward in Afzalipoor Hospital, Javad Al-Aemeh Clinic, and Physicians Clinics affiliated with Kerman University of Medical Sciences in Kerman, southeast Iran. The study included qualitative and quantitative assessments of face validity, content validity, item analysis, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis (construct validity), and reliability. Data collection took place between March 20, 2023, and December 30, 2023. The scale's content validity index was calculated to be 0.948, with mostly minor revision comments for most items. The item-content validity indices ranged from 0.7 to 1. Exploratory factor analysis revealed a five-factor solution with 23 items, explaining 61.251% of the total variance. The identified factors were labeled as 'personal and interpersonal spiritual practices,' 'shaping and strengthening relationship practices,' 'religious practices,' 'physical spiritual practices,' and 'reshaping relationship practices.' Most of the confirmatory factor analysis indices were satisfactory (χ2/df = 1.665, CFI = 0.934, IFI = 0.935, RMSEA = 0.058). The Cronbach's α coefficient for the total scale was 0.89, while it ranged from 0.596 to 0.882 for the subscales. The Persian version of SSCPS with 23 items demonstrates reliability and effectiveness in assessing the spiritual practice performance of Iranian cancer patients. Compared to the original version, the Persian adaptation of SSCPS is concise, making it a suitable instrument for future research and practice on spiritual self-care among Iranian cancer patients.

ABSTRACT

The rapid growth in computational power, sensor technology, and wearable devices has provided a solid foundation for all aspects of cardiac arrhythmia care. Artificial intelligence (AI) has been instrumental in bringing about significant changes in the prevention, risk assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of arrhythmia. This review examines the current state of AI in the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation, supraventricular arrhythmia, ventricular arrhythmia, hereditary channelopathies, and cardiac pacing. Furthermore, ChatGPT, which has gained attention recently, is addressed in this paper along with its potential applications in the field of arrhythmia. Additionally, the accuracy of arrhythmia diagnosis can be improved by identifying electrode misplacement or erroneous swapping of electrode position using AI. Remote monitoring has expanded greatly due to the emergence of contactless monitoring technology as wearable devices continue to develop and flourish. Parallel advances in AI computing power, ChatGPT, availability of large data sets, and more have greatly expanded applications in arrhythmia diagnosis, risk assessment, and treatment. More precise algorithms based on big data, personalized risk assessment, telemedicine and mobile health, smart hardware and wearables, and the exploration of rare or complex types of arrhythmia are the future direction.
