ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: To compare the aesthetic effects of all-ceramic micro-veneer and minimally invasive ultra-thin veneer in repairing deformed anterior teeth. METHODS: One hundred and twenty patients with deformed anterior teeth were selected for aesthetic restoration. According to the patient's personal condition, a suitable repair protocol was selected. Patients in the experimental group (60 cases) were repaired with all-ceramic micro-adhesive surface, while patients in the control group (60 cases) were treated with minimally invasive ultra-thin veneer. The US Public Health Administration's Evaluation Criteria (USPHS) scores were recorded and compared 6 months, 12 months, and 24 months after restoration. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 25.0 software package. RESULTS: There was no significant difference in the integrity, color, marginal closeness, translucency and marginal staining of the restorations between the two groups 24 months after operation (P>0.05). The satisfaction rate of the aesthetics of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group (71.60% vs 93.83%, P<0.05). The incidence of complications such as broken, detached and secondary caries during the follow-up period was significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group (1.23% vs 11.11%, P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The results showed that there is no significant difference in the success rate between the two methods. All-ceramic micro-veneer technique has good long-term effect, fewer complications, easy to collapse and stain the lip margin, but it has a small amount of teeth preparation and a low incidence of pulpitis in the later period. Minimally invasive super-thin veneer has high aesthetic value, so it is necessary to choose appropriate aesthetic repair methods according to the patients' needs.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: With the widespread application of high-throughput technology, numerous meta-analysis methods have been proposed for differential expression profiling across multiple studies. OBJECTIVES: We identified the suitable differentially expressed (DE) genes that contributed to lung adenocarcinoma (ADC) clustering based on seven popular multiple meta-analysis methods. METHODS: Seven microarray expression profiles of ADC and normal controls were extracted from the ArrayExpress database. The Bioconductor was used to perform the data preliminary preprocessing. Then, DE genes across multiple studies were identified. Hierarchical clustering was applied to compare the classification performance for microarray data samples. The classification efficiency was compared based on accuracy, sensitivity and specificity. RESULTS: Across seven datasets, 573 ADC cases and 222 normal controls were collected. After filtering out unexpressed and noninformative genes, 3688 genes were remained for further analysis. The classification efficiency analysis showed that DE genes identified by sum of ranks method separated ADC from normal controls with the best accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of 0.953, 0.969 and 0.932, respectively. The gene set with the highest classification accuracy mainly participated in the regulation of response to external stimulus (P = 7.97E-04), cyclic nucleotide-mediated signaling (P = 0.01), regulation of cell morphogenesis (P = 0.01) and regulation of cell proliferation (P = 0.01). CONCLUSIONS: Evaluation of DE genes identified by different meta-analysis methods in classification efficiency provided a new perspective to the choice of the suitable method in a given application. Varying meta-analysis methods always present varying abilities, so synthetic consideration should be taken when providing meta-analysis methods for particular research.

ABSTRACT

In order to be able to quickly, to a wide range of natural gas pipeline leakage monitoring, the remote detection system for concentration of methane gas was designed based on static Fourier transform interferometer. The system used infrared light, which the center wavelength was calibrated to absorption peaks of methane molecules, to irradiated tested area, and then got the interference fringes by converging collimation system and interference module. Finally, the system calculated the concentration-path-length product in tested area by multi-wavelength characteristics spectrum analysis algorithm, furthermore the inversion of the corresponding concentration of methane. By HITRAN spectrum database, Selected wavelength position of 1. 65 microm as the main characteristic absorption peaks, thereby using 1. 65 pm DFB laser as the light source. In order to improve the detection accuracy and stability without increasing the hardware configuration of the system, solved absorbance ratio by the auxiliary wave-length, and then get concentration-path-length product of measured gas by the method of the calculation proportion of multi-wavelength characteristics. The measurement error from external disturbance is caused by this innovative approach, and it is more similar to a differential measurement. It will eliminate errors in the process of solving the ratio of multi-wavelength characteristics, and can improve accuracy and stability of the system. The infrared absorption spectrum of methane is constant, the ratio of absorbance of any two wavelengths by methane is also constant. The error coefficients produced by the system is the same when it received the same external interference, so the measured noise of the system can be effectively reduced by the ratio method. Experimental tested standards methane gas tank with leaking rate constant. Using the tested data of PN1000 type portable methane detector as the standard data, and were compared to the tested data of the system, while tested distance of the system were 100, 200 and 500 m. Experimental results show that the methane concentration detected value was stable after a certain time leakage, the concentration-path-length product value of the system was stable. For detection distance of 100 m, the detection error of the concentration-path-length product was less than 1. 0%. With increasing distance from tested area, the detection error is increased correspondingly. When the distance was 500 m, the detection error was less than 4. 5%. In short, the detected error of the system is less than 5. 0% after the gas leakage stable, to meet the requirements of the field of natural gas leakage remote sensing.

ABSTRACT

Pyrazine and 5-sulfosalicylic acid crystallize from a methanol solution containing water as the title salt, C(4)H(6)N(2) (2+)·2C(7)H(5)O(6)S(-)·2H(2)O. The pyrazine-diium cation sits on an inversion center. The component ions and water mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into layers running parallel to the (10) plane.
