ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Colorectal polyp is known a precursor of colorectal cancer (CRC) that holds an increased risk for progression to CRC. Circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA) methylation has shown favorable performance in the detection and monitoring the malignant progression in a variety of cancers. RESULTS: To discover cfDNA methylation markers for the diagnosis of CRC, we first performed a genome-wide analysis between eight CRC and eight polyp tissues using the Infinium HumanMethylationEPIC BeadChip. We identified 7008 DMCs, and after filtering, we validated 39 DMCs by MethylTarget sequencing in 62 CRC and 56 polyp tissues. A panel of four CpGs (cg04486886, cg06712559, cg13539460, and cg27541454) was selected as the methylation marker in tissue by LASSO and random forest models. A diagnosis prediction model was built based on the four CpGs, and the methylation diagnosis score (md-score) can effectively discriminate tissues with CRC from polyp patients (AUROC > 0.9). Finally, the cg27541454 was confirmed hypermethylated in CRC (AUC = 0.85) in the plasma validation cohort. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that the md-score could robustly detect CRC from polyp tissues, and cg27541454 may be a promising candidate noninvasive biomarker for CRC early diagnosis.

ABSTRACT

When a familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) patient's rectal polyp undergoes malignant transformation, the surgeon needs to consider how to balance the quality of surgery with the patient's quality of life. Here, we present a case of robotic surgery in a patient with familial adenomatous polyposis and ultra-low rectal cancer. Fiberoptic colonoscopy found that hundreds of polyp-like bulges were diffusely distributed throughout the colon, and a malignant mass was found at the end of the rectum. The patient underwent total colectomy with abdominoperineal extended radical resection for rectal cancer using the Xi robotic platform. The patient recovered well in the postoperative period. The ileostomy was well used. And the patient was in good health and metastasis free at 9 months postoperatively. We identified total colectomy combined with extended radical rectal resection under the assistance of the da Vinci robot platform is of great benefit to the patient.

ABSTRACT

A new species of coral-symbiont crab, Cymo mazu sp. nov., is described from the Nansha Islands in the South China Sea. The new species is distinguished from its congeners by several unique morphological characteristics, including a smooth carapace armed with isolated spiny granules, chelipeds featuring large spines and granules, and a strongly concave endopodite of the first maxilliped. Molecular analysis using mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I DNA barcodes provides further support for the identification of the new species. The relationships between the new species and its congeners were elucidated through a combination of morphological and molecular evidence. Diagnostic characteristics for differentiation among species of Cymo are discussed, and an updated key to the species of the genus is provided.

ABSTRACT

Background: The incidence of early-onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC) is increasing worldwide. This study aimed to explore whether there is an alternative gut microbiota profile in patients with early-onset colorectal cancer. Methods: A total of 24 patients with EOCRC, 43 patients with late-onset colorectal cancer and 31 young volunteers were included in this study. The diversity of their fecal bacteria was explored using 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing. Cluster of ortholog genes (COG) functional annotation and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG) were used to detect enrichment pathways among the three groups. Results: Community separations were observed among the three groups. The Shannon index of the EOCRC group was significantly lower than the LOCRC group (P=0.007) and the NC group (P=0.008). Both PCoA analysis (Principal co-ordinates analysis, P=0.001) and NMDS (non-metric multidimensional scaling, stress=0.167, P=0.001) analysis indicated significant difference in beta diversity among the three groups. Fusobacteria, Bacteroidetes, and Clostridia were the most abundant bacteria in the EOCRC group, LOCRC group, and NC group, respectively. The results of COG showed that transcription (P=0.01398), defense mechanisms (P=0.04304), inorganic ion transport and metabolism (P=0.00225) and cell wall/membrane/envelope biogenesis (P=0.02534) were differentially expressed among the three groups. The KEGG modules involved in membrane transport (P=0.00856) and porphyrin and chlorophyll metabolism (P=0.04909) were differentially expressed among the three groups. Conclusion: Early-onset colorectal cancer patients have a different gastrointestinal microbiota derangement compared to late-onset colorectal cancer patients. This dysbiosis can be reflected in the species diversity of the microbiota, the abundance of bacteria, and the abnormal functional predictions.

ABSTRACT

Long noncoding RNA (LncRNA) XLOC_006390 has been shown to be dysregulated in cancer tissues and regulates cancer growth and development. Nonetheless, the molecular role of lncRNA-XLOC_006390 in colorectal cancer via modulation of miR-296/ONECUT2 axis is still unclear. Against this backdrop, the current study was designed to explore the role of lncRNA-XLOC_006390 in colorectal cancer proliferation and metastasis. The results revealed significant (P < 0.05) overexpression of lncRNA-XLOC_006390 in colorectal cancer tissues and cell lines, and the transcript levels increased with the advancement of the disease. Moreover, its high expression was shown to be associated with poor patient survival. Silencing of lncRNA-XLOC_006390 in colorectal cancer cells significantly (P < 0.05) suppressed their viability via onset of apoptosis and restricted cancer cell migration and invasion. In vivo tumor growth was significantly (P < 0.05) inhibited under lncRNA-XLOC_006390 repression. LncRNA-XLOC_006390 was shown to sponge the expression of miR-296-3p which in turn acted via post-transcriptional suppression of ONECUT 2 transcription factor to regulate the growth of colorectal cancer. Taken together, the results revealed the oncogenic role of lncRNA-XLOC_006390 in colorectal cancer via modulation of miR-296/ONECUT2 axis. The results also point towards its prognostic and therapeutic potential in the treatment of colorectal cancer.

INTRODUCTION: Streptococcus agalactiae is a common pathogen in infective endocarditis, but the positive rate of traditional blood culture diagnosis is not high. It is challenging to obtain a good outcome in the absence of pathogen information for patients with infectious endocarditis. PATIENT CONCERNS AND DIAGNOSIS: Here, we report the case of a patient with infective endocarditis caused by S. agalactiae. The initial manifestations of this patient were coma, urinary incontinence, and fecal incontinence and had no history of heart disease or infectious diseases before admission. INTERVENTIONS AND OUTCOMES: When the blood culture was negative 3 consecutive times, the pathogen S. agalactiae was diagnosed in a timely and accurate manner by metagenome sequencing. Eventually, the patient was discharged following surgery and antibiotic treatment. CONCLUSIONS: For IE patients with infective endocarditis, metagenome sequencing is a valuable and selective tool for rapid, sensitive, and accurate pathogen detection, especially when the blood culture is negative.

ABSTRACT

Background: Various noninvasive methods of intracranial pressure (ICP) measurement have been proposed. Each has unique advantages and limitations. This study was aimed at investigating the relationships between lateral ventricular asymmetry on admission computed tomography, optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD), and ICP in traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients. Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted in the patients admitted to our department between October 2018 and October 2020. 20 patients with moderate-severe TBI with a Glasgow Coma Scale of 3-12 were enrolled. Lateral ventricle volume (LVV) value measurements were conducted using ITK-SNAP software. The lateral ventricular volume ratio (LVR) was quantified by dividing the larger LVV by the smaller. Results: ONSD and LVR had a good correlation with ICP. Admission LVR of >1.735 was shown to have a sensitivity of 90.9% and a specificity of 88.9% for prediction of ICP increase (AUC = 0.879; standard error = 0.091; 95% CI = 0.701 to 1.0; significance level p < 0.004). Admission ONSD of >5.55 mm was shown to have a sensitivity of 81.8% and a specificity of 88.9% for prediction of ICP increase (AUC = 0.919; standard error = 0.062; 95% CI = 0.798 to 1.0; significance level p < 0.002). Combining the ONSD and LVR, the sensitivity could be improved to 90.9% in parallel test, and the specificity could be improved to 100% in serial test. Conclusion: ONSD and LVR measurements can diagnose elevated ICP in traumatic brain injury patients. ONSD combining with LVR may further improve the diagnostic evaluation.

Background: Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is still associated with significant mortality, especially the elderly and those with comorbidities are at highest risk of death. Neuromuscular blocking agents (NMBAs) are used in a large but highly variable proportion of patients with ARDS. Case presentation: We describe the case of one critically ill patient with serious ARDS, because of virus pneumonia. In spite of the reduced tidal volume to 4-6 mL/kg of predicted body weight (PBW) and prone position were applied timely, the irresistible progress of disease leaded to an amazing prolonged application of deep sedation and analgesia, as well as NMBA, for the purpose of lung-protective mechanical ventilation. Result: The clinical and biochemical parameters guided us toward the recognition that cisatracurium, bolus of 0.1 mg/kg followed by a median infusion rate of 1.91 (1.43-9.52) µg/kg.min, combined with continuous infusion of midazolam 3.43 (2.06-6.17) mg/kg.d and remifentanil 3.79 (3.43-8.57) µg/kg.h is efficacious and suitable for continuous muscle paralysis. Conclusion: The intensive care unit (ICU)-acquired weakness (ICU-AW) was inevitable. Besides, an increased demand on drug concentration with the extension of medication time was observed as well.

ABSTRACT

Macromedaeus is one of the most common xanthid genera in shallow waters of the Indo-West Pacific. In this study, we describe a new species, Macromedaeus hainanensis sp. nov., and report on two newly recorded species, M. quinquedentatus (Krauss, 1843) and M. orientalis (Takeda & Miyake, 1969) from Hainan Island, South China Sea. M. hainanensis is most related to M. distinguendus (De Haan, 1833-1850) and M. orientalis on the carapace shape and granular appearance, but can be distinguished by unique morphological characteristics especially its front, pereopods and male first gonopod. Taxonomic identities of the six Macromedaeus species recorded from China seas are discussed, and a phylogenetic analyzation is performed on Macromedaeus and related taxa based on three mitochondrial and two nuclear markers (12S, 16S, COI, H3, 18S). Integrated taxonomic evidence is used to support the taxonomic status of each species.

Introduction: DEF6 is a gene associated with the immune system and is thought to play a crucial role in autoimmunity. There are few DEF6-related studies in cancer, and it is assumed that DEF6 is a proto-oncogene. There is currently no pan-cancer analysis of DEF6, and we performed a systematic and comprehensive pan-cancer analysis of DEF6 in an attempt to reveal its role and function in cancer. Methods: The data were analyzed by mining databases available to the public and by using R software. Moreover, immunohistochemistry was used to validate the results. Results: Our results revealed that DEF6 is commonly aberrantly expressed in cancer and its expression is strongly correlated with survival prognosis in a variety of cancer types. Through correlation analysis we found that DEF6 was associated with multiple immune genes and was closely related to immune infiltration. In the enrichment analysis, DEF6 may have cross-talk with multiple cancer pathways and exert oncogenic or pro-cancer functions. In addition, we collected pathological samples from colorectal cancer patients for immunohistochemical analysis and found that patients with higher immunohistochemical scores had more lymph node metastases, higher CA199, and bigger tumor size. Discussion: Overall, DEF6 expression is closely related to cancers and has the potential to act as a cancer biomarker.

Background: The synchronous primary right-sided and left-sided colon cancer (sRL-CC) is a peculiar subtype of colorectal cancer. However, the genomic landscape of sRL-CC remains elusive. Methods: Twenty-eight paired tumor samples and their corresponding normal mucosa samples from 14 patients were collected from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University from 2011 to 2018. The clinical-pathological data were obtained, and whole-exome sequencing was performed based on formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded samples of these patients, and then, comprehensive bioinformatic analyses were conducted. Results: Both the lesions of sRL-CC presented dissimilar histological grade and differentiation. Based on sequencing data, few overlapping SNV signatures, onco-driver gene mutations, and SMGs were identified. Moreover, the paired lesions harbored a different distribution of copy number variants (CNVs) and loss of heterozygosity. The clonal architecture analysis demonstrated the polyclonal origin of sRL-CC and inter-cancerous heterogeneity between two lesions. Conclusion: Our work provides evidence that lesions of sRL-CC share few overlapping mutational signatures and CNVs, and may originate from different clones.

ABSTRACT

Colorectal cancer is the third leading cancer in the world in terms of incidence and mortality. The role of differentially expressed Claudin-14 (CLDN14) in CRC has not been reported. We observed that CLDN14 was associated with the progression of CRC. Our functional studies have shown that CLDN14 promoted the proliferation of CRC cells. In addition, CLDN14 also increased the migration and invasion of CRC cells. In vivo experiments also showed that CLDN14 promoted the growth of colorectal cancer via the PI3K/AKT/mTOR. In summary, our research suggests that CLDN14 promotes the progression of colorectal cancer. Our findings may provide new strategies for clinical management and patient prognosis of CRC.

ABSTRACT

Fibroblast activation protein alpha (FAP) is a marker of cancer-associated fibroblast, which is also expressed in cancer epithelial cells. However, the role of FAP in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells remains to be elucidated. Here we investigate the expression pattern of FAP in CRC tissues and cells to prove that FAP is upregulated in CRC cells. Loss- of and gain-of-function assays identified FAP promotes migration and invasion instead of an effect on cell proliferation. Microarray assays are adopted to identify the different expressed genes after FAP knockdown and gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) is used to exploit the involved signaling pathway. Our works reveal FAP exerts a function dependent on NF-κB signaling pathway and FAP expression is associated with NF-κB signaling pathway in clinical samples. Our work shows FAP is secreted by CRC cells and soluble FAP could promote metastasis. To investigate the mechanism of FAP influencing the NF-κB signaling pathway, LC/MS is performed to identify the proteins interacting with FAP. We find that FAP binds to ENO1 and activates NF-κB signaling pathway dependent on ENO1. Blocking ENO1 could partially reverse the pro-metastatic effect mediated by FAP. We also provide evidences that both FAP and ENO1 are associated with CRC stages, and high levels of FAP and ENO1 predict a poor survival in CRC patients. In summary, our work could provide a novel mechanism of FAP in CRC cells and a potential strategy for treatment of metastatic CRC.

Sepsis-induced acute kidney injury (SI-AKI) is a serious condition in critically ill patients. Currently, the diagnosis is based on either elevated serum creatinine levels or oliguria, which partially contribute to delayed recognition of AKI. Metabolomics is a potential approach for identifying small molecule biomarkers of kidney diseases. Here, we studied serum metabolomics alterations in rats with sepsis to identify early biomarkers of sepsis and SI-AKI. A rat model of SI-AKI was established by intraperitoneal injection of lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Thirty Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into the control (CT) group and groups treated for 2 hours (LPS2) and 6 hours (LPS6) with LPS (10 rats per group). Nontargeted metabolomics screening was performed on the serum samples from the control and SI-AKI groups. Combined multivariate and univariate analysis was used for pairwise comparison of all groups to identify significantly altered serum metabolite levels in early-stage AKI in rats with sepsis. Orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) showed obvious separation between the CT and LPS2 groups, CT and LPS6 groups, and LPS2 and LPS6 groups. All comparisons of the groups identified a series of differential metabolites according to the threshold defined for potential biomarkers. Intersections and summaries of these differential metabolites were used for pathway enrichment analysis. The results suggested that sepsis can cause an increase in systemic aerobic and anaerobic metabolism, an impairment of the oxygen supply, and uptake and abnormal fatty acid metabolism. Changes in the levels of malic acid, methionine sulfoxide, and petroselinic acid were consistently measured during the progression of sepsis. The development of sepsis was accompanied by the development of AKI, and these metabolic disorders are directly or indirectly related to the development of SI-AKI.

BACKGROUND: Natural orifice specimen extraction surgery (NOSES) has been successfully applied to the treatment of gastric, colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the development of NOSES is still in the exploratory stage, and there is still no strong evidence-based medical evidence. PATIENTS AND METHODS: From January 2013 to June 2017, consecutive patients with colorectal cancer who underwent transluminal resection, anastomosis, and specimen extraction and those who underwent conventional laparoscopic resection were enrolled. Propensity score matching was used to align clinicopathological features between the two groups. RESULTS: A total of 372 patients were eventually included in this study, 186 in each group. According to perioperative information and postoperative follow-up in both groups, the NOSES group had less blood loss (P = 0.011), shorter time to recovery of gastrointestinal function (P < 0.001), shorter postoperative hospital stay (P = 0.037). The NOSES group had fewer postoperative analgesics (P < 0.001), lower postoperative pain scores (P < 0.001), and lower incidence of postoperative complications (P = 0.017). Compared with the LA (laparoscopic) group, the NOSES group had better physical function (P<0.05), role function (P<0.001), emotional function (P<0.001) and global health status than LA group, while symptoms such as pain (P<0.001), insomnia (P<0.001), constipation (P<0.001) and diarrhea (P<0.05) were less severe in the NOSES group. In addition, the NOSES group had higher body image scores. Overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) were not significantly different between the two groups. CONCLUSION: For surgical treatment of colorectal cancer, NOSES has advantages in reducing postoperative pain, recovery of gastrointestinal function, postoperative quality of life, and improving patients' satisfaction with abdominal wall aesthetics. There was no difference in long-term survival between NOSES and conventional laparoscopic surgery.

BACKGROUND: The identification of cancer-associated long noncoding RNAs and the investigation of their molecular and biological functions are important for understanding the molecular biology and progression of cancer. JAKMIP2-AS1 has not been reported in the literature, especially in the context of colorectal cancer. The aim of the present study was to examine the expression pattern of JAKMIP2-AS1 in colorectal cancer (CRC) and evaluate its biological role and clinical significance in tumor progression. METHODS: JAKMIP2-AS1 expression was analyzed in 56 CRC tissues and nine CRC cell lines by quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Overexpression and RNA interference (RNAi) approaches were used to investigate the biological functions of JAKMIP2-AS1. The effect of JAKMIP2-AS1 on proliferation was evaluated by CCK-8, colony formation, and EdU assays. Subcutaneous injection of cells was used to study proliferation in BALB/c nude male mice. Proliferation-related protein levels were examined by immunohistochemical analysis. Differences between groups were tested for significance using Student's t-test (two-tailed). RESULTS: JAKMIP2-AS1 was highly expressed in both CRC samples and cell lines compared with the corresponding normal counterparts. The upregulation of JAKMIP2-AS1 expression promoted the proliferation of colorectal cancer cells. Moreover, patients with high levels of JAKMIP2-AS1 expression had a relatively poor prognosis. Inhibition of JAKMIP2-AS1 by RNAi decreased the proliferation of CRC cells in vitro and impeded cell growth in vivo. Ki-67 and PCNA levels were affected by JAKMIP2-AS1 knockdown or overexpression in vivo. CONCLUSION: Our findings indicate that JAKMIP2-AS1 is significantly upregulated in CRC tissues and regulates CRC cell proliferation. Thus, JAKMIP2-AS1 may represent a new marker of poor prognosis and is a potential therapeutic target for CRC intervention.

Previous studies have shown that IgG Fc binding protein (FCGBP) plays important roles in tumorigenesis, progression, and prognosis, but its role in CRC metastasis remains unclear. PURPOSE: In this study, we are aimed to explore the significance of FCGBP in liver metastatic CRC (LMCRC) patients. METHODS: We analyzed the expression of FCGBP RNA between CRC primary samples and liver metastatic samples in the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). Next, we assessed the expression of FCGBP protein in 135 paired primary CRC (PC) samples and LMCRC samples. Finally, we explored the relationship between the expression features and clinicopathological characteristics. RESULTS: The expression data of FCGBP were obtained from the GEO and TCGA databases. FCGBP RNA expression was evaluated between primary lesions (PC) and liver metastatic lesions (LM). FCGBP RNA was down-regulated in PC and LM, and especially lower in LM (p<0.001). Next, the expression of FCGBP protein was evaluated by an immunohistochemistry array in 135 paired primary tumor tissues and metastatic tissues. We found that FCGBP protein was down-regulated in primary lesions and metastatic lesions, especially in metastatic lesions. According to the immunohistochemistry score (SI), each cohort was divided into FCGBP-positive (SI=4-12) and FCGBP-negative (SI=0-3) groups. In both groups, the levels of CEA (PC group, 3.880 vs 77.049, p<0.001; LM group, 3.890 vs 14.239, p=0.008) and CA19-9 (PC group, 8.610 vs 111.700, p<0.001; LM group, 7.660 vs 19.380, p=0.037) were lower than those in the FCGBP-negative group. FCGBP positivity in the LM cohort was an independent risk factor in both overall survival (HR 1.573, 95% Cl [1.017-2.433], p=0.042) and disease-free survival (HR 1.869, 95% Cl [1.256-2.781], p=0.002). CONCLUSION: This study found a relationship between FCGBP expression and clinical information of LMCRC patients, and found that FCGBP expression decreased with disease development. The expression of FCGBP in liver metastasis is associated with both the overall and progression-free survival. Our results show that FCGBP could be a promising prognostic factor for LMCRC.

Resistance of chemotherapy is one of causes of recurrence and poor prognosis in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC). The role of differentially expressed long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) in 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu) resistance has not been fully elucidated. Here we observed that lncRNA NEAT1 was associated with 5-Fu resistance in CRC. Our Functional studies showed that NEAT1 promoted 5-Fu resistance in colorectal cells. In addition, A-TAC sequencing and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) showed that NEAT1 affected chromatin remodeling, increased the acetylation levels of histones, increased their enrichment at the promoters of ALDH1 and c-Myc, and promoted the expression of ALDH1 and c-Myc. Taken together, our study suggested that NEAT1 promoted 5-Fu resistance and cancer stemness by remodeling chromatin. Our finding provides a novel role of NEAT1 and may provide a new strategy for the treatment of CRC 5-Fu resistance.

ABSTRACT

Early pulmonary fibrosis is the leading cause of poor prognosis in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). However, whether the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) can serve as a therapeutic target is unknown. In this study, an animal model of early pulmonary fibrosis was established via the LPS three-hit regimen. Afterwards, the animals were treated with intraperitoneal injections of Ang-(1-7), AVE0991, or A779 once per day for 20 days. The plasma and BALF AngII levels of the animals were increased, while there were no significant changes in Ang-(1-7) levels in lung tissue after LPS treatment. Furthermore, the AT1R protein levels were significantly increased and the Mas levels were significantly decreased on days 14 and 21. Administration of Ang-(1-7) downregulated LPS-induced AT1R mRNA expression, which was upregulated by A779. The expression of Mas mRNA responded in the opposite direction relative to AT1R. Moreover, LPS caused decreased levels of Mas and E-cadherin and increased AT1R, Vimentin, and Src phosphorylation levels. Ang-(1-7) or AVE0991 blocked these effects but was counteracted by A779 treatment. Our findings suggested that AngII and AT1R levels exhibit opposite dynamic trends during LPS-induced early pulmonary fibrosis, as do Ang-(1-7) and Mas. Ang-(1-7) exerts protective effects against early pulmonary fibrosis, mainly by regulating the balance between AngII and AT1R and between Ang-(1-7) and Mas and by inhibiting Src kinase activation.

ABSTRACT

Chemotherapy failure is the major cause of recurrence and poor prognosis in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients. The role of the differentially expressed lncRNAs in 5-Fluorouracil chemoresistance has not fully explained. Here, we observed lncRNA H19 was associated with the 5-Fu resistance in CRC. Quantitative analysis indicated that H19 was significantly increased in recurrent CRC patient samples. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis indicated that high H19 expression in CRC tissues was significantly associated with poor recurrent free survival. Our functional studies demonstrated that H19 promoted colorectal cells 5-Fu resistance. Mechanistically, H19 triggered autophagy via SIRT1 to induce cancer chemoresistance. Furthermore, bioinformatics analysis showed that miR-194-5p could directly bind to H19, suggesting H19 might work as a ceRNA to sponge miR-194-5p, which was confirmed by Dual-luciferase reporter assay and Immunoprecipitation assay. Extensively, our study also showed that SIRT1 is the novel direct target of miR-194-5p in CRC cells. Taken together, our study suggests that H19 mediates 5-Fu resistance in CRC via SIRT1 mediated autophagy. Our finding provides a novel mechanistic role of H19 in CRC chemoresistance, suggesting that H19 may function as a marker for prediction of chemotherapeutic response to 5-Fu.
