The article is devoted to the analysis of features of natural history of hepatitis C in Donetsk region, with the purpose to determine the number of patients in need of treatment in the first place, forecast on their cure, determination of the number of patients needing the retreatment. Namely, it is showed the age distribution of acute viral hepatitis B and C among the patients of Donetsk region, the percentage of patients with different severity of fibrosis inthe population of patients with chronic hepatitis C in Donetsk region. The stage of liver fibrosis and the degree of disease activity were compared. Furthermore, it is showed the distribution of genotypes of hepatitis C virus in a population of patients of Donetsk region.

ABSTRACT

We studied the validity and effectiveness of interrupted local negative pressure (ILNP) in rehabilitation of patients who had had acute meningitis. ILNP on the lower part of the body was applied in 28 meningitis convalescents having residual manifestations detected at tetrapolar rheography and psychovegetative testing. As the result of the treatment the patients felt better, their psychovegetative status improved, pulse blood filling of cerebral vessels increased while tonicity of microcirculation vessels diminished. Side effects of ILNP were not registered. Thus, ILNP is effective in convalescents after meningitis.

ABSTRACT

Clinical presentation of generalized salmonellosis is reviewed. Typhus-like form occurred in 28, septic form in 15 cases (0.5 and 0.3% of all the patients observed, respectively). Salmonellosis sepsis is hard to detect in view of multiple visceral lesions, long-term fever and severe intoxication.

ABSTRACT

The paper is concerned with the immunological status of 62 patients with meningococcal and viral serous meningitides. A noticeable inhibition of cellular immunity, more pronounced in the CSF was detected. A correlation was shown to exist between the level of humoral factors that block T lymphocyte receptors in the CSF and the disease gravity.
