ABSTRACT

This study aims to identify an antemortem neck stab wound on a highly decomposed, headless and mutilated body by conventional hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining combined with Ponceau-Victoria blue B staining (P-VB staining) and Masson staining. Specifically, a tissue sample was excised from the skin and muscle tissue at the junction of the normal and brownish discolored areas around the suspected stabbing tract of the left neck, in the upper and lower wound-clavicle-shoulder region. Conventional HE staining only provides a morphological and structural outline of the tissue, with both the injury hemorrhage and local connective tissue appearing eosinophilic pink. However, P-VB staining shows obvious contrast between the injury hemorrhage and connective tissue, with the former appearing yellow-green and the latter appearing orange-red. Similarly, Masson staining of the injury hemorrhage and connective tissue contrast clearly with purple-red and dark blue, respectively. Therefore, our study highlights that conventional HE staining with the combination of P-VB staining and Masson staining allowed for a clearer and corroborated identification of antemortem injury and hemorrhage from the stab wound in highly decomposed mutilated corpses.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: The number of patients with heart disease who can benefit from treatment is continuing to increase due to the widespread use of cardiac implantable devices. Accordingly, the number of cardiac device-related infective endocarditis (CDRIE) cases has been increasing year by year. We report a very rare experience of performing an autopsy on a patient who died of CDRIE at the site of MitraClip ® implantation, which has recently been developed as a treatment option for severe mitral regurgitation. In addition to hematoxylin-eosin (H-E) staining, Elastica-Masson staining in the present case revealed destruction of all of the atrial, trabecular, fiber and myocardial layers. CASE PRESENTATION: The patient was hemodialyzed with a dialysis catheter. Hemodialysis treatment was difficult due to functional mitral regurgitation caused by cardiac dysfunction, and the MitraClip® procedure was performed. However, he subsequently developed a fever and dialyzation became difficult again, and he was admitted to the cardiology department. Echocardiography revealed a large vegetation at the site of MitraClip® implantation and a diagnosis of CDRIE was made. Guidelines recommend removal of the device and surgical intervention. However, considering the patient's general condition, a decision was made at a heart team conference to give priority to antibiotic therapy. However, the patient did not respond to antibiotic therapy and died of septic shock. CONCLUSION: To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of CDRIE and death after MitraClip® implantation that resulted in an autopsy. Furthermore, not only H-E staining but also Elastica-Masson staining was performed, and it was confirmed that there was significant valve tissue destruction. In the future, the MitraClip® procedure, even though it is minimally invasive, should be carefully considered in immunocompromised patients.

ABSTRACT

Pancreatic fibrosis (PF) is a hallmark of chronic pancreatitis (CP), but its molecular mechanism remains unclear. This study was conducted to explore the role of Kruppel-like factor 4 (KLF4) in PF in CP mice. The CP mouse model was established using caerulein. After KLF4 interference, pathological changes in pancreatic tissues and fibrosis degree were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining and Masson staining, and levels of Collagen I, Collagen III, and alpha-smooth muscle actin, inflammatory cytokines, KLF4, signal transducer and activator of transcription 5A (STAT5) in pancreatic tissues were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, Western blot assay, and immunofluorescence. The enrichment of KLF4 on the STAT5 promoter and the binding of KLF4 to the STAT5 promoter were analyzed. The rescue experiments were performed by co-injection of sh-STAT5 and sh-KLF4 to confirm the regulatory mechanism of KLF4. KLF4 was upregulated in CP mice. Inhibition of KLF4 effectively attenuated pancreatic inflammation and PF in mice. KLF4 was enriched on the STAT5 promoter and enhanced the transcriptional and protein levels of STAT5. Overexpression of STAT5 reversed the inhibitory role of silencing KLF4 in PF. In summary, KLF4 promoted the transcription and expression of STAT5, which further facilitated PF in CP mice.

ABSTRACT

Melanogenesis disorder is called dyschromia, is involved in various conditions including vitiligo, solar lentigo, and melanoma, the last of which is the most malignant type of skin cancer. AIM: The aim of study was focused on histological visualization of melanogenic system. MATERIALS AND METHODS: To investigate the roles of melanocytes and melanin, we used a rat skin as an experimental animal. Samples were stained using hematoxylin-eosin, the Schmorl's technique, the Fontana-Masson technique, the Warthin-Starry technique, and the S100 immunohistochemistry marker technique. Microscopy images were analyzed using the ImageJ free software protocol. RESULTS: We found Fontana-Masson staining to be the most suitable for obtaining reliable results compared with the other methods, which had more disadvantages. We also found the S100 marker staining to be an effective tool for measuring the melanocyte count. CONCLUSIONS: We consider the ImageJ processing protocol and staining procedures to be useful tools to estimate melanin and melanocyte pathology.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: In current studies regarding skeletal muscle blunt contusion model, rats are often taken as the experimental object. The authors believe that rabbits are the better experimental object to observe the macroscopic and imaging changes after blunt contusion. OBJECTIVE: Based on the self-made heavy-duty smashing instrument as the experimental basis, to replicate the skeletal muscle injury model according to different strike heights, which is expected to provide a reference basis for the subsequent replication of the rabbit gastrocnemius blunt contusion model. METHODS: Thirty-three New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into four groups: normal group (n=3), 75 cm strike group (n=10), 50 cm strike group (n=10), 25 cm strike group (n=10). Except for the normal group, all strikes were performed with different strengths. The severity of skeletal muscle damage after different strikes was compared through gross observation, hematoxylin-eosin staining, Masson staining, and ultrasound imaging. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The 50 cm height blow can cause moderate damage to the skeletal muscle, and the natural recovery time is over 21 days, which is suitable for the establishment of skeletal muscle blunt contusion model. The 75 cm height blow is likely to cause fractures, resulting in more deaths. The 25 cm height blow can cause mild damage that can be recovered within 7 days, which is not suitable for the establishment of skeletal muscle injury model.

ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION: Urological chronic pelvic pain syndrome (UCPPS) represents a group of pain symptoms relating to patients with pelvic pain for which treatment is largely unsatisfactory. The objective of this study is to analyze the effects of a novel treatment strategy in males suffering from UCPPS. METHODS: This retrospective, institutional review board-approved study analyzed eight male patients aged 24 to 61 with UCPPS. All the patients had a trial of antibiotic therapy, NSAIDs, and pelvic floor physical therapy before the study. The Visual Analog scale (VAS) and Functional Pelvic Pain scale (FPPS) were collected pretreatment. While continuing physical therapy, patients underwent weekly ultrasound-guided pelvic floor trigger point injections to the iliococcygeus, pubococcygeus, and puborectalis with lidocaine 1%. Concomitantly, patients received peripheral nerve hydrodissection performed on the pudendal nerve and the posterior femoral cutaneous nerve. The first two injections combined 1% lidocaine with dexamethasone, while the next four injections consisted of 1% lidocaine with traumeel (a homeopathic, plant-derived anti-inflammatory medication). At the 6-week follow-up, each patient retook the VAS and FPPS. RESULTS: The mean age of our patients was 31.8 years and the average duration of symptoms of the UCPPS was 21 months. Pretreatment, the mean VAS was 3.3 (STD 1.7) and the mean VAS posttreatment was 1.8 (STD 1.4); P < .05; 95% CI, 0.73 to 2.27. The mean FPPS pretreatment was 11.0 (STD 8.0) and the mean FPPS posttreatment was 6.3 (STD 5.3); P < .05; 95% CI, 0.03 to 9.22. CONCLUSION: Our results show promise for a novel, nonopioid-based treatment for UCPPS.

ABSTRACT

AIMS: To investigate bladder function patterns following cystostomy and determine the best time window for cystometric evaluation of bladder function in conscious rats. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Cystostomy was performed in rats of the first seven groups; thereafter, cystometry was performed in the designed time interval. Noncystostomy rats of group 8 voided freely as control. Basal bladder pressure (Pves.basal ), maximum bladder pressure (Pves.max ), bladder threshold pressure (Pves.thre ), voiding interval (VI), bladder contraction duration (CD), bladder compliance (ΔC), voided volume (VV), postvoiding residual urine (PVR), and bladder capacity (BC) were recorded and compared with cystostomy groups, with VV, PVR, BC compared with the control values. Bladders were collected after the urodynamic study for weighing, hematoxylin-eosin, and Masson staining to investigate pathological changes. RESULTS: Pves.basal , Pves.max , and Pves.thre trended downward, while BC, VI, VV, and ΔC trended upward on days 1 to 5 postcystostomy. BC and VV significantly decreased on days 1 to 3 postcystostomy compared with control values; on days 5 to 15 postcystostomy, Pves.basal , Pves.max , Pves.thre , VI, VV, BC, and PVR were stable, and BC, VV, and PVR showed no significant differences from the control values. However, on day 21 postcystostomy, BC increased significantly compared with the controls. Bladder weight increased in the cystostomy groups compared with the controls. Pathological analysis showed severe acute bladder inflammation on days 1 to 3, mild inflammation on days 5 to 15, and increased collagen deposition in bladder tissue on day 21 postcystostomy. CONCLUSION: Cystometric evaluation of bladder function in conscious rats is best performed on days 5 to 15 postcystostomy.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To investigate the effect of low level laser on osteoclast and collagen fiber remodeling during the process of tooth retention after tooth movement in rats and to provide the experimental basis for clinical application.@*Methods @# In total, 20 eight-week-old Wistar rats were selected to establish a mesial movement model of the maxillary first molar and then randomly divided into four groups after the appliance was removed. In total, 5 rats were included in each group, including baseline group (without force as blank control), control group (without any intervention after removing the force appliance), retention group (teeth were wrapped with orthodontic ligature wires that were screwed into hemp flower as fixed retention to maintain the space between the first molar and incisor after appliances were removed) and retention and low energy laser irradiation group (teeth were wrapped with the orthodontic ligature wires that were screwed into hemp flower as fixed retention and low energy laser irradiation was applied on days 0, 3, 6, 9 and 12 after appliance removal). Two weeks later, all the rats were sacrificed and the first molar tissue blocks of each group were collected. The distribution of osteoclasts and collagen fiber were studied by HE staining, TRAP staining and Masson staining to illustrate the process of alveolar bone and collagen fiber remodeling.@*Results @# Two weeks after appliances were removed, collagen fibers were deposited on both sides of the root in the baseline group, but no osteoclasts were observed in the distal side of the root. In the control group, collagen fibers on the two sides of the root were not obvious and osteoclasts were active on the distal side. In the retention group, collagen fibers were obvious on the two sides of the root and the osteoclasts on the distal side were less active than the control group. Regarding the retention and low energy laser irradiation group, collagen fibers were significantly obvious and osteoclasts were not seen. The difference was statistically significant between the retention and low energy laser irradiation group and the other three groups (P<0.05). @*Conclusion@#These results suggest that fixed retention with simultaneous low level laser can effectively promote the synthesis of collagen fibers and inhibit the activity of osteoclasts during the process of tooth retention after movement, thus reducing the possibility of molar recurrence.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To explore a rapid histological preparation method to observe morphology and composition distribution of tendon collagen fascicle and endotendinum. METHODS: Taking porcine superflexor tendon of foot as an example, tendons were sliced into sections with 6 µm by frozen section technology, after which general observation of the section integrity was carried out. After fixed with 10% neutral buffered formalin and performed with HE staining, the tissue integrity and ice crystal formation were observed under microscope. Sections were then divided into 5 groups by different methods of dyeing. Group A: Priodic acid-Shiff (PAS) staining; group B: Masson staining; group C: reticular fibers staining; group D: immunohistochemical and immunofluorescent staining of type Ⅲ collagen; group E: the sections were baked at 65℃ for 10 minutes and stained with Masson. The composition distribution of tendon collagen fascicle and endotendinum in different groups were observed. RESULTS: From general observation, the frozen section of tendon tissue was complete and continuous. Although the tissue integrity in the tendon sections could be seen and no ice crystal was formed, the composition distribution could not be identified by HE staining. The entire tendons in groups A, B, and C were dyed, and the composition distribution of collagen fascicle and endotendinum could not be identified. The endotendinum in group D was stained weakly positive for type Ⅲ collagen alone, and the two components were differentiated dyed but the contrast was not obvious. In group E, the collagen fascicle and endotendinium were differentiated dyed and the two components in tendon tissue were clearly visible. CONCLUSION: The morphology and the composition distribution of tendon collagen fascicle and endotendinum can be characterized rapidly and accurately, using a combination of baking at 65℃ for 10 minutes and Masson staining after porcine superflexor tendons were sliced by frozen section technology.

ABSTRACT

Polyethylene glycol can connect the distal and proximal ends of an injured nerve at the cellular level through axonal fusion to avoid Wallerian degeneration of the injured distal nerve and promote peripheral nerve regeneration. However, this method can only prevent Wallerian degeneration in 10% of axons because the cytoskeleton is not repaired in a timely fashion. Reconstruction of the cytoskeletal trunk and microtubule network has been suggested to be the key for improving the efficiency of axonal fusion. As a microtubule-severing protein, spastin has been used to enhance cytoskeletal reconstruction. Therefore, we hypothesized that spastin combined with polyethylene glycol can more effectively promote peripheral nerve regeneration. A total of 120 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham, suture, polyethylene glycol, and polyethylene glycol + spastin groups. In suture group rats, only traditional nerve anastomosis of the end-to-end suture was performed after transection of the sciatic nerve. In polyethylene glycol and polyethylene glycol + spastin groups, 50 µL of polyethylene glycol or 25 µL of polyethylene glycol + 25 µL of spastin, respectively, were injected immediately under the epineurium of the distal suture. Sensory fiber regeneration distance, which was used to assess early nerve regeneration at 1 week after surgery, was shortest in the suture group, followed by polyethylene glycol group and greatest in the polyethylene glycol + spastin group. Behavioral assessment of motor function recovery in rats showed that limb function was restored in polyethylene glycol and polyethylene glycol + spastin groups at 8 weeks after surgery. At 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks after surgery, sciatic functional index values and percentages of gastrocnemius muscle wet weight were highest in the sham group, followed by polyethylene glycol + spastin and polyethylene glycol groups, and lowest in the suture group. Masson staining was utilized to assess the morphology of muscle tissue. Morphological changes in skeletal muscle were detectable in suture, polyethylene glycol, and polyethylene glycol + spastin groups at 1, 2, 4, and 8 weeks after surgery. Among them, muscular atrophy of the suture group was most serious, followed by polyethylene glycol and polyethylene glycol + spastin groups. Ultrastructure of distal sciatic nerve tissue, as detected by transmission electron microscopy, showed a pattern of initial destruction, subsequent disintegration, and gradual repair in suture, polyethylene glycol, and polyethylene glycol + spastin groups at 1, 2, 4, and 8 weeks after surgery. As time proceeded, axonal ultrastructure gradually recovered. Indeed, the polyethylene glycol + spastin group was similar to the sham group at 8 weeks after surgery. Our findings indicate that the combination of polyethylene glycol and spastin can promote peripheral nerve regeneration. Moreover, the effect of this combination was better than that of polyethylene glycol alone, and both were superior to the traditional neurorrhaphy. This study was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of the Second Military Medical University, China (approval No. CZ20170216) on March 16, 2017.

ABSTRACT

Objective; To investigate the dynamic pathological characteristics of kidney in the db / db mice with type 2 diabetes mellitus and to clarify the pathogenesis and development mechanism of diabetic nephropathy, and to provide the experimental evidence for the further study on diabetic nephropathy. Methods: The male SPF db/db mice aged 7 - 8 weeks were selected as model group (n=16) and the db/m mice with the same ages were selected as control group (n=16). The body weights and levels of fasting blood glucose (FBG) of the mice were detected after 8, 16, and 32 weeks. Then eight mice in each group were sacrificed and the kidney tissue was dissected at 8, 16 and 32 weeks. HE and Masson staining were used to observe the pathomorphology of the kidney tissue; the ultrastructures of kidney tissue were observed under electron microscope. Results: Compared with normal group, the body weights of the mice in model group at 8, 16 and 32 weeks were significantly increased (P<0. 01), the FBG levels were significantly increased (P<0. 01), and the double kidney indexes were significantly decreased (P<0. 01); the double kidney index of the mice in model group at 32 weeks was lower than that at 16 weeks (P< 0. 05). The HE and Masson staining results showed that the morphological changes of kidney tissue of the mice at 16 weeks were significant, the glomerular volume was expansion and the kidney tubular epithelial cells were edema, which turned serious at 32 weeks. A large number of blue dye substances in the kidney tissue was found. Under electron microscope, the glomerular basement membranes got thickened, the foot processes got fused and the number of mitochondria in kidney tubular epithelial cells was reduced and swell was found in the mice in model group at 16 weeks; the lesions in the kidney tissue were serious at 32 weeks, and the collagenous fiber was visible at 32 weeks. Conclusion: The pathological changes in the kidney tissue of the db/db mice at 16 weeks are significant, such as glomerular basement thickening and footwork fusion. The kidney tissue of the db/db mice at 32 weeks shows prominent fibrosis.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compare hematoxylin and eosin(HE) staining,Masson's staining and picric sirius red(PSR) staining in evaluation of cardiac fibrosis. Methods Twenty adult sprague dawley (SD) rats were given subcutaneous injection of isoprenaline for 5mg/(kg · d) for 3 weeks, which induced cardiac fibrosis model successfully. In order to observing the fibrotic areas and collagen deposition,we prepared paraffin sections by using the heart specimen of rat,and carried out HE staining,Masson staining and PSR staining respectivelly for the special staining. Results All staining methods could clearly show the collagen fibers and fibrosis stage. We could clearly distinguish the type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fibers through PSR staining with immunoflurescent techniques, but not Masson and HE staining. Conclusion The results demonstrated that PSR staining is better than HE and Masson staining to be used for the evaluation of degree and type of proliferation of collagen fibers. It has important signification for treatment and prevention of cardiac fibrosis.

ABSTRACT

Electrical stimulation has been shown to accelerate and enhance nerve regeneration in sensory and motor neurons after injury, but there is little evidence that focuses on the varying degrees of fibrosis in the delayed repair of peripheral nerve tissue. In this study, a rat model of sciatic nerve transection injury was repaired with a biodegradable conduit at 1 day, 1 week, 1 month and 2 months after injury, when the rats were divided into two subgroups. In the experimental group, rats were treated with electrical stimuli of frequency of 20 Hz, pulse width 100 ms and direct current voltage of 3 V; while rats in the control group received no electrical stimulation after the conduit operation. Histological results showed that stained collagen fibers comprised less than 20% of the total operated area in the two groups after delayed repair at both 1 day and 1 week but after longer delays, the collagen fiber area increased with the time after injury. Immunohistochemical staining revealed that the expression level of transforming growth factor ß (an indicator of tissue fibrosis) decreased at both 1 day and 1 week after delayed repair but increased at both 1 and 2 months after delayed repair. These findings indicate that if the biodegradable conduit repair combined with electrical stimulation is delayed, it results in a poor outcome following sciatic nerve injury. One month after injury, tissue degeneration and distal fibrosis are apparent and are probably the main reason why electrical stimulation fails to promote nerve regeneration after delayed repair.

ABSTRACT

Currently, there is no objective indicator for surgical procedures in elderly patients with femoral neck fractures. The purpose of this study was to determine the severity of damage to the retinacula of Weitbrecht based on the type of femoral neck fracture, anatomical and clinical observations. Data from 44 patients treated with artificial femoral head replacement were analyzed for the association between Garden type fracture and severity of injury to Weitbrecht's retinacula. Additionally, 18 cases (Pauwels type III fracture) after Watson-Jones surgical approach and internal fixations were used to investigate the bone healing and femoral head necrosis. Among 44 patients (Garden type was III-IV, 79.6%), significant associations were found between Garden type fracture and lateral (P < 0.001), anterior (P = 0.045), and medial (P = 0.004) retinacular injury. Significant positive Spearman correlation coefficients between Garden type and the severity of injury to Weitbrecht's retinacula were Ρ = 0.561 with P < 0.001 for lateral, Ρ = 0.338 with P = 0.025 for anterior, and Ρ = 0.469 with P = 0.001 for medial retinacula. Additionally, 4 out of 18 Pauwels type III fracture cases were observed severe damages on Weitbrecht's retinacula and resulting bone necrosis. In conclusion, this study provided the anatomical and histological correlations between fracture displacement and degree of retinacula injury.

ABSTRACT

Four 3-day-old piglets with retarded growth were submitted to the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency for diagnosis. Necropsy showed that one piglet had black spots ranging from 2 mm to 1 cm in diameter in the cerebellum, lungs, regional lymph nodes, and cecum. Histological findings were consistent with the gross appearance in which melanin pigmentation was observed in the organs mentioned above. Based on Fontana-Masson staining, we diagnosed this animal with systemic melanosis. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of systemic melanosis in black breeds of swine in Korea.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of Xuebijing (Chinese herbal medicine preparation) on lung fibrosis in a rat model of oleic acid - induced lung injury.MethodsSixty SPF level of male Wistar rats were randomly ( random number) divided into three groups ( n =20 ):normal control group ( group A),oleic acid model group (group B),oleic acid and Xuebijing group (group C).Rats in group A were injected with normal saline (0.13 ml/kg) ; acute lung injury (ALI) model rats were injected with oleic acid (0. 13 ml/kg) intravenously in B and C groups.Twelve hours after administrations of saline or oleic acid into rats of three groups separately, samples of arterial blood from all rats were taken for blood gas analysis.By analysis of blood oxygen partial pressure, the acute lung injury model successfully made was confirmed. Then the rats in group C were treated with xuebijing (4 ml/kg) intravenously, once a day from the 1st to 7th day.The rats in groups A and B were treated with saline (4 ml/kg).Five rats in each group were randomly sacrificed on the 1st,7th,14th,28th day, separately. The bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) of left lung of all rats was carried out after weight of lung weighed. The lefi lungs of rats were weighed in wet and dry in order to get the wet/dry ratio.Venous blood and BAL fluid (BALF) were obtained for detection of procollagen Ⅲ ( PC Ⅲ ) concentrations with enzyme - linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Right upper lobe of lung specimens was taken for histopathological examination after paraffin - embedded sections with hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining and Masson staining.Multiple comparisons were analyzed by using oneway analysis of variance (SNK-q test).Statistical analyses were performed by using SPSS 13.0 software.ResultsOxygenation index of groups B and C ( PaO2/FiO2 < 300) significantly decreased compared with the group A ( P < 0.01 ).Levels of serum PC Ⅲ on the 14th day and 28th day in group C decreased significantly in comparison with group B ( P < 0.05 ).Compared with group A,the levels of BALF PC Ⅲ and serum PC Ⅲ in group B and group C on the 7th day,14th day and 28th day increased ( P < 0.01 ).Levels of PC Ⅲ in BALF on the 7th day,14th day and 28th day in C group decreased in comparison with group B ( P <0.01 ).Compared with group A,the levels of PCⅢ in BALF in group B and group C on the 7th day,14th day and 28th day increased ( P < 0.05 ).ConclusionsThe result suggests that treatment with xuebijing may be useful in inhibiting pulmonary fibrosis during the course of ALI in rots.

ABSTRACT

Objective Collagenous gastritis is a rare entity, characterized by the deposition of a subepithelial collagen band with an inflammatory infiltrate in the mucosa. This report describes the first case of collagenous gastritis occurring in a young Chinese woman and reviews the literatures. Methods The patient underwent the gastroscopy screening, and the biopsy specimens were treated with HE staining, Masson staining, Congo red staining and Warthin-Starry staining.Patients' clinical data was discussed and followed up.Results A twenty-year-old girl had intermittent epigastric pain for 4 years, abdominal distention, hiccup and weight loss for two months. The gastric endoscopy revealed diffuse white nodular appearance of the mucosa in angular incisure and antrum.Pathologic examination of the gastric biopsies from the antrum and angular showed a subepithelial collagen deposition with moderate infiltrates of lymphoplasma cells and eosinophils of the lamina propria. The collagen band measured up to 120.3 μm (mean 43.8 μm).Prednisone 20 mg/d for 4 weeks led to clinical remission and weight gain. Conclusion There are about 40 cases in literatures to date, and the cause and pathogenesis of collagenous gastritis remain unknown.According to the clinical and pathological characteristics, the patient in this article is the subtype of collagenous gastritis that occurring in children and young adults.Specific therapy has not been established, the gluten-free diet and glucocorticosteroid may be helpful to relieve symptoms in collagenous gastritis patients.

ABSTRACT

0.05),however,by the 12th week, there was a significant difference(3.6?0.48 vs 2.4?0.48,P0.05)in the graft vasculopathy between two groups. Conclusion: It is practicable to establish a cardiac chronic graft failure model between closed colony SD rats, and ischemia reperfusion injury,as an alloantigen independent factor, would accelerate the development of rat cardiac chronic graft vascular disease, which can save the time for establishing models.
