ABSTRACT

Introduction: It's generally accepted that one of the risks associated with orthodontic treatment is apical root resorption, even though this may occur outside orthodontic treatment. In any case, it causes root shortening. Orthodontists are probably the only dental surgeons who use the inflammatory process as a therapeutic tool. They need to be aware of the risk factors for root inflammation. Along with recurrence, leukemia and periodontal problems, resorption is one of the "inconveniences" of orthodontics, which, if not inevitable, must at least be minimized. Material and Method: At present, the orthodontic literature on root resorption provides some clues as to the factors associated with the onset, severity and management of root resorption, although the complexity of this phenomenon does not allow us to arrive at a clear and unequivocal consensus. For this reason, it is important to identify potential risk factors for resorption, to take them into account before/during and after treatment, and to know what attitude to adopt in the event of resorption appearing, all in order to minimize this phenomenon, as everyone agrees that it can be a source of harm and stress for both patient and practitioner. Conclusion: There are still many grey areas in our understanding of the phenomenon, including how the elements of orthodontic treatment influence orthodontic resorption. Irreversible in nature, resorption can be sufficiently extensive to cast doubt on the benefit of successful orthodontic treatment.


Introduction: Il est généralement admis que l'un des risques associés au traitement orthodontique est la résorption radiculaire apicale même si elle peut se produire en dehors de tout traitement orthodontique. Quoi qu'il en soit, elle provoque le raccourcissement radiculaire. Les orthodontistes sont sans doute les seuls spécialistes de la chirurgie dentaire qui utilisent le processus inflammatoire en tant que moyen thérapeutique. Ils doivent connaître les facteurs de risque de cette inflammation sur la racine. La résorption fait partie, au même titre que la récidive, les leucomes et les problèmes parodontaux, des « inconvénients ¼ de l'orthodontie qui, à défaut d'être inévitables, doivent au moins être minimisés. Matériels et méthode: Actuellement, la littérature orthodontique sur la résorption radiculaire fournit quelques pistes sur les facteurs associés à l'apparition, la gravité et la gestion de la résorption radiculaire, même si la complexité de ce phénomène ne nous permet pas d'en dégager un consensus clair et équivoque. Pour cette raison, il est important d'identifier les facteurs de risque de résorption potentiels pour en tenir compte avant/pendant et après le traitement et connaître l'attitude à adopter en cas d'apparition de résorptions, tout ceci afin de minimiser ce phénomène, car tout le monde s'accorde sur le fait qu'elle peut être source de préjudice et de stress pour le patient et le praticien. Conclusion: De nombreuses zones d'ombres subsistent dans la compréhension du phénomène, notamment sur comment les éléments du traitement orthodontique influencent la résorption orthodontique. De nature irréversible, la résorption peut être suffisamment étendue pour jeter un doute sur le bénéfice apporté au succès du traitement orthodontique.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized art therapy as an effective supportive mechanism for the maintenance and restoration of mental health. In recent years, art therapy has been integrated in the assistance pathways of older people affected by neurocognitive disorders according to the demonstrated benefits, as no conflicts with pharmacologic treatments and the reduction of anxiety and stress. The shortage of organizational, economic, and professional resources in social-health public organizations does not allow for guaranteeing the provision of these services without the help of the private ones, not exclusively belonging to social-health sector. This research aims to investigate how the collaboration between public and private organizations of different sectors in the co-provision of non-pharmacological approaches guarantees the economic sustainability and the quality improvement of the provided services. Methods: The Alzheimer Café of Prato was selected as a significant case study. Results and Discussion: Art therapy programs intended for taking care of older people in the first stages of the Alzheimer's disease have been developed, planned, supplied, and managed over the years as a result of the integration of resources, ideas, and professionals provided both by public and private sectors, the social-health sector, and cultural organizations. Conclusions: The peer-to-peer co-responsibility of all organizations (public and private, from the cultural sector as well as the social and health sector) involved in the co-design of art therapy programs, not limiting their actions to only co-financing and/or co-delivery of the service, enabled the achievement of the economic sustainability of the services and the improvement of their quality.

ABSTRACT

El aislamiento social por la pandemia ha repercutido negativamente en la salud mental; asimismo, han sido evidentes los síntomas psicológicos en pacientes que han padecido la COVID-19 en el contexto social cubano. Objetivo: Analizar los principales síntomas psicológicos en personas que han padecido la COVID-19. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio cualitativo y cuantitativo, desde el 12 de enero hasta el 12 de junio de 2021, de 51 sujetos que habían padecido la COVID-19 en la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba. Resultados: Los síntomas más relevantes fueron el estrés, la ansiedad, el miedo y la frustración, que resultaron de la exposición a la enfermedad y generaron comportamientos que modificaron la vida cotidiana. Conclusiones: Los sujetos entrevistados presentaron diferentes síntomas psicológicos, los cuales modificaron la cotidianidad, reafirmaron la protección de la salud, aumentaron la percepción del riesgo ante la enfermedad y la preocupación por el futuro de sus vidas y su país.


Social isolation has had a negative impact on mental health; moreover, psychological symptoms have been evident in patients who have suffered from COVID-19 in Cuban social context. Objective: To analyze the main psychological symptoms in people who have suffered from COVID-19. Methods: A qualitative and quantitative study of 51 subjects who had suffered from COVID-19, from January 12 to June 12, 2021, in the city of Santiago de Cuba, was carried out. Results: The most relevant symptoms were stress, anxiety, fear and frustration; these have been the result of exposure to the disease and have generated behaviors that modify daily life. Conclusions: The interviewed subjects presented different psychological symptoms, which modified daily life, reaffirmed health protection, and increased the coronavirus risk perception and concern for the future of their lives and their country.

ABSTRACT

RESUMO: Partindo das violações praticadas contra as instituições da República brasileira nos eventos do dia 8 de janeiro de 2023, em Brasília, procura-se demonstrar a importância de recolher o que ali emergiu, como expressão de dificuldades intrínsecas (e não apenas conjunturais) da nossa história e formação social. Examinando a relação dos componentes de ódio e agressividade extremos que permearam os ataques, com as linhas de força de nossa origem colonial, destaca-se o problema da divisão de classes, raças, gêneros, linguagens e culturas em que sempre nos mantivemos. Um antagonismo material e simbólico feroz, que é fonte permanente de segregação e violência e nos impede de formarmos uma coletividade que inclua, de fato, a diversidade da população brasileira. Com a introdução de elementos da crítica decolonial retomados a partir da psicanálise e o chamamento ético que a acompanha, afirma-se a necessidade de estabelecermos um novo paradigma que nos permita ressituar as tensões do Brasil atual, e que abra a chance de um comprometimento real de cada um com o laço social, o meio e os outros.


ABSTRACT: The January 8th attacks in Brasília indicate the importance of collecting what emerged there as an expression of intrinsic (and not conjunctural) difficulties in Brazil. Relating the extreme hatred and destructiveness of the attacks with our colonial origin, the division of classes, races and cultures in which we have always maintained ourselves stands out. A fierce antagonism that leads to segregation and violence and prevents us from forming a collective that truly includes the diversity of the Brazilian population. Decolonial criticism, taken up with psychoanalysis and the ethics that accompanies it, allows us to resituate the tensions of current Brazil and opens the chance for a real commitment to the social bond, the environment, and the others.

ABSTRACT

Environmental issues gained momentum in recent years, with consequences of climate change already being felt across the world. As the environment worsens health, human activities also influence the environment, by worsening this process, creating an uninterrupted cycle which might speed up climate change. The health sector plays a role as important as the other sectors, as one of the human activities with high impact on the environment, owing to the high consumption of resources, water and energy, and the production of millions of tons of waste daily across the world, overall contributing to high levels of greenhouse gases. This is especially important as health care institutions need to operate 24/7 to satisfy medical needs of the populations. However, few green measures have been implemented in this field, as it is perceived as costly and ineffective. Ethical concerns arise from this scenario, as corporate social responsibility and accountability weight in the decision of investing in green infrastructures. Efficiency and optimal financial management play a role on minimizing costs of existing activities, while trying to provide the best care to patients. This paper explores the rationale for implementing green measures, reviewing the current status of environmental sustainability within the health care sector, as it discusses different perspectives on ethical issues emerging when managing health institutions and how these can be instrumental to drive policy-based change.


Los problemas ambientales cobraron impulso en los últimos años, y las consecuencias del cambio climático ya se sienten en todo el mundo. A medida que el medio ambiente empeora la salud, las actividades humanas también influyen en el medio ambiente, al empeorar este proceso, creando un ciclo ininterrumpido que podría acelerar el cambio climático. El sector salud juega un papel tan importante como los demás sectores, como una de las actividades humanas con alto impacto en el medio ambiente, debido al alto consumo de recursos, agua y energía, y la producción de millones de toneladas de desechos diariamente en todo el mundo. mundo, contribuyendo en general a los altos niveles de gases de efecto invernadero. Esto es especialmente importante ya que las instituciones de atención médica deben operar las 24 horas del día, los 7 días de la semana para satisfacer las necesidades médicas de las poblaciones. Sin embargo, se han implementado pocas medidas verdes en este campo, ya que se percibe como costoso e ineficaz. Las preocupaciones éticas surgen de este escenario, ya que la responsabilidad social corporativa y la rendición de cuentas pesan en la decisión de invertir en infraestructuras verdes. La eficiencia y la gestión financiera óptima desempeñan un papel en la minimización de los costos de las actividades existentes, mientras se intenta brindar la mejor atención a los pacientes. Este documento explora la justificación para implementar medidas ecológicas, revisando el estado actual de la sostenibilidad ambiental dentro del sector de la atención de la salud, ya que analiza diferentes perspectivas sobre los problemas éticos que surgen al administrar las instituciones de salud y cómo pueden ser fundamentales para impulsar el cambio basado en políticas.


As questões ambientais ganharam força nos últimos anos, com as consequências das mudanças climáticas já sendo sentidas em todo o mundo. À medida que o meio ambiente piora a saúde, as atividades humanas também influenciam o meio ambiente, agravando esse processo, criando um ciclo ininterrupto que pode acelerar as mudanças climáticas. O setor da saúde desempenha um papel tão importante quanto os demais setores, como uma das atividades humanas com alto impacto no ambiente, devido ao alto consumo de recursos, água e energia, e à produção de milhões de toneladas de resíduos diariamente em todo o mundo, contribuindo globalmente para altos níveis de gases de efeito estufa. Isso é especialmente importante, pois as instituições de saúde precisam operar 24 horas por dia, 7 dias por semana, para atender às necessidades médicas das populações. No entanto, poucas medidas verdes foram implementadas neste campo, pois é percebido como caro e ineficaz. As preocupações éticas surgem deste cenário, pois a responsabilidade social corporativa e a prestação de contas pesam na decisão de investir em infraestruturas verdes. A eficiência e a gestão financeira otimizada desempenham um papel na minimização dos custos das atividades existentes, ao mesmo tempo em que se tenta oferecer o melhor atendimento aos pacientes. Este artigo explora a lógica para a implementação de medidas verdes, revisando o status atual da sustentabilidade ambiental no setor de saúde, discutindo diferentes perspectivas sobre questões éticas emergentes na gestão de instituições de saúde e como elas podem ser instrumentais para impulsionar mudanças baseadas em políticas.

ABSTRACT

A careful look at the international development of Sociology highlights the centrality that the study of social problems and the approach to possible solutions to them have had in the history of this discipline, not infrequently for the sake of better social integration, stability, development, social change or even modernity. Recent approaches suggest shifting this focus of attention, arguing about the deficit in sociological research and practice concerning theor etical frameworks that pay attention to the positive aspects. This text reflects on the contributions that altruism, solidarity, and collective responsibility can have to improve the quality of life in contemporary societies and face humanitarian emergencies with a certain degree of success. For instance, the so-called refugee crisis or the current COVID-19 pandemic poses significant challenges for societies. This article also explores briefly new roles of data science in connection with responsibility and altruism. The text invites us to revisit sociology, thinking about the lights more than the shadows.

Distinct from the criminal responsibility of political leaders, the responsibility of the State is subject to a system of administrative law which is mostly based on the notion of "failure to act". Precedents have shown that its recognition requires some conditions to be filed which, when applied to the current period, call for a nuanced judgment.

Resumen Introducción. Esta investigación constituye el resultado de una revisión bibliográfica y una validación estadística multivariante. En esta se plantean las aristas de medición del estado actual de responsabilidad social. Objetivo. Diseñar un instrumento de diagnóstico de la gestión de responsabilidad social para el sector agrícola. El instrumento de diagnóstico de la responsabilidad social se estableció en referencia a la ISO 26000 en el sector bananero de la provincia de Los Ríos, República del Ecuador. Materiales y métodos. El presente estudio fue de tipo no experimental. El método teórico utilizado fue el inductivo-deductivo a partir del análisis de cinco modelos de responsabilidad social. El método empírico ejecutado fue de recolección de información con un instrumento estructurado por escalas de Likert de 5 opciones. El procedimiento estadístico empleado en la medición de la calidad instrumental estuvo conformado por análisis de fiabilidad y análisis factorial. Resultados. Los indicadores de fiabilidad evidencian un Alfa de Cronbach de 0,754 y un Alfa de Cronbach de dos mitades de 0,852 y 0,783. Los indicadores del análisis factorial muestran un KMO de 0,788, Prueba de esfericidad de Bartlett con un CHI-cuadrado de 1644,521, grados de libertad de 210 y una significancia estadística de 0,000; Una varianza total explicada de 7 grupos con una varianza acumulada del 80,76 %. Conclusión. El constructo en estudio y las siete aristas en cuestión poseen un alto grado de fiabilidad y validez. Además, el instrumento es apto para su aplicación en las empresas del sector bananero.


Abstract Introduction. This research is the result of a literature review and a multivariate statistical validation. This raises the edges of measurement of the current state of social responsibility. Objective. Design a diagnostic tool for the management of social responsibility for the agricultural sector. Therefore, the social responsibility diagnostic instrument was established in reference to ISO 26000 in the banana sector of the province of Los Ríos, Republic of Ecuador. Materials and methods. This study was not experimental. The theoretical method applied corresponded to inductive deductive analysis from five models of social responsibility. The empirical method was used. The information was collected with an instrument structured by Likert scales of 5 options. The statistical procedure used to measure the quality of the instrument was made up of reliability analysis and factor analysis. Results. Reliability indicators show a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.754 and a Cronbach's Alpha of two halves of 0.852 and 0.773. The indicators of the factor analysis show a KMO of 0.788, Bartlett's sphericity test with a Chi square of 1644.521, degrees of freedom of 210 and a statistical significance of 0.000; A total variance explained that shows 7 groups with an accumulated variance of 80.76 %. Discussion and Conclusion. The construct under study and the seven edges in question have a high degree of reliability and validity. In addition, the instrument is suitable for application in companies in the banana sector.


Resumo Introdução. Esta pesquisa é resultado de uma revisão de literatura e de uma validação estatística multivariada. Isso eleva os limites da medição do estado atual da responsabilidade social. Objetivo. Elaborar uma ferramenta de diagnóstico para a gestão da responsabilidade social para o setor agrícola. Portanto, o instrumento de diagnóstico de responsabilidade social foi estabelecido com referência à ISO 26000 no setor de bananas da província de Los Ríos, República do Equador. Materiais e métodos. Este estudo não foi experimental. O método teórico aplicado correspondeu à análise dedutiva indutiva de cinco modelos de responsabilidade social. O método empírico foi utilizado. As informações foram coletadas com um instrumento estruturado em escalas Likert de 5 opções. O procedimento estatístico utilizado para medir a qualidade do instrumento foi constituído por análise de confiabilidade e análise fatorial. Resultados. Os indicadores de confiabilidade mostram um alfa de Cronbach de 0,754 e um alfa de Cronbach de duas metades de 0,852 e 0,773. Os indicadores da análise fatorial mostram um KMO de 0,788, teste de esfericidade de Bartlett com um quadrado de Qui de 1644,521, graus de liberdade de 210 e significancia estatística de 0,000; Uma variação total explicou que mostra 7 grupos com uma variação acumulada de 80,76 %. Discussão e conclusão. O construto em estudo e as sete arestas em questão têm um alto grau de confiabilidade e validade. Além disso, o instrumento é adequado para aplicação em empresas do setor de banana.

ABSTRACT

This study examines how the psychological behavior of voters, voter attitudes, and voters’ actions respond to situations involving the use of a series of social media marketing, corporate social responsibility, and political campaign activities. It also investigates the mediating consequences of political campaigns on the mental psychology of voters. Questionnaires were electornically administered among university students in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. In conjunction with SPSS and AMOS version 24, the structural equation modeling approach was utilised to examine the relationships between the modeled variables on the basis of data collected from 525 university students. The reliability and validity of the measurements was confirmed before the proposed research hypotheses were tested using confirmatory factor analysis. The results revealed that social media marketing positively influences political campaigns, corporate social responsibility, and thee mental psychology of voters. CSR, political campaigns, and social media marketing's positive effects on mental psychology of voter have been supported. The results also confirmed that political campaigns significantly mediate the relationship between social media marketing and mental psychology of voters as well as the relationship between CSR and mental psychology. This study enriches the understanding of social media marketing, CSR activities, and political campaigns voter vis-à-vis the mental psychology of university students. Political groups can gain benefits by understanding how specific CSR activities can influence voter’s mental psychology and social media engagement value, leading to enhanced mental psychology and choices. The study's originality and novelty are embedded in its ability to build an integrated model that examines the interaction between social media marketing and mental psychology related to voters among university students.(AU)

ABSTRACT

En el presente artículo se aborda la cuestión de la responsabilidad en la infancia, desde una perspectiva psicoanalítica orientada por la enseñanza de Jacques Lacan. Más allá de considerar la responsabilidad del sujeto como un supuesto fundamental de la clínica psicoanalítica, las particularidades de la práctica con niños han dado lugar a la pregunta por el estatuto de la responsabilidad a la que se apunta en dicha práctica. Comenzaremos entonces por precisar la especificidad de esta noción en la enseñanza de Lacan, señalando sus diferencias con respecto a otras acepciones del término, para luego presentar las diversas posiciones que encontramos al respecto en el campo de la clínica con niños. A través del análisis de una viñeta, se tratará de poner a prueba la noción de responsabilidad en la infancia, señalando sus límites y sus particularidades


This article addresses the issue of responsibility in childhood, from a psychoanalytic perspective guided by the Lacan's teaching. Beyond considering the subject's responsibility as a fundamental axiom in psychoanalysis, the particularities of the practice with children have given rise to the question about the statute of responsibility in this practice. After presenting the specificity of this notion in the Lacan's teaching, pointing out its differences with others meanings, we will present the diverse positions that we find in the clinic with children. Through the analysis of a vignette, we will try to test the notion of responsibility in childhood, indicating its limits and its particularities

ABSTRACT

Objetivo: analisar o conhecimento de universitários sobre os compromissos, profissionais e cidadãos, diante da violência doméstica contra a mulher. Métodos: pesquisa qualitativa realizada nas casas do estudante da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande, em Rio Grande/RS, no ano de 2019. Foram convidados, aleatoriamente, dois homens e duas mulheres de cada casa, totalizando 28 participantes. Todos responderam a entrevistas semiestruturadas e o corpus foi analisado segundo a Análise de Conteúdo. Resultados: enquanto alguns universitários não aproximavam a temática com seus cursos de graduação, outros a reconheciam como importante tema de debate e compromisso com a formação profissional. Como cidadãos, mencionaram o dever de debater o assunto entre amigos, denunciar casos de violência, oferecer apoio à mulher; embora apresentassem dúvidas sobre essa conduta. Conclusão: o reconhecimento dos compromissos frente à violência doméstica contra a mulher é uma das estratégias de enfrentamento.


Objective: to analyze the knowledge of college students regarding their responsibility, as future professionals and citizens, in the face of intimate partner violence. Methods: a qualitative study was conducted in the undergraduate residence halls at the Federal University of Rio Grande, Rio Grande, RS, Brazil, in 2019. Two men and two women from each residence hall were randomly invited, totaling 28 students. All the participants answered semi-structured interviews, and Content Analysis was used to interpret the corpus. Results: some students did not relate the topic to their undergraduate programs, but others recognized it was related to their professional field and as an important subject to be debated. As citizens, they considered being responsible for discussing it with their friends, reporting violence cases, and providing support to victims, though they had doubts about it. Conclusion: recognizing one's responsibilities in the face of intimate partner violence is one strategy to combat it.

ABSTRACT

Trata-se de um relato que foca experiências com idosos institucionalizados no município de Serra­ ES, produzidas com foco em contribuir com a qualidade de vida dessa população, alicerçado na noção da saúde como direito e que extrapola a dimensão anatomofisiológica. As intervenções/ações foram realizadas, portanto, nas instituições de longa permanência para idosos (ILPI) do município, por meio do projeto de extensão denominado "Tem um minuto para mim?", contando com a parceria de voluntários convidados a compor o calendário de visitação às instituições. As ações/intervenções realizadas se deram em formato de oficinas/workshops ofertados para o público, no âmbito das ILPI's, incluíram atividades com animais domésticos resgatados pelo abrigo de animais resgatados "Vira Lata Vira Luxo"; slime; construção de painéis de histórias individuais e coletivas; oficinas com equipamentos de realidade virtual e realidade aumentada; oficina de contar histórias; jogos e brincadeiras; dança, dentre diversos outros. Paralelamente, foram arrecadadas doações de material de higiene pessoal e limpeza e de alimentos não perecíveis para serem entregues às ILPI's durante as visitas. Foi possível, além de buscar a sensibilização dos voluntários para questões relacionadas ao envelhecimento, o mundo do trabalho e, em última instância, à vida; fomentar o estreitamento dos laços da instituição com a comunidade da qual faz parte, por meio de um espaço-­tempo de formação que pode se constituir como ferramenta pedagógica para os cursos de graduação; além de buscar contribuir para a melhoria da saúde e qualidade de vida dos idosos institucionalizados, entendendo-os como sujeitos e não como "objetos" de intervenção (profissional).


It is a report that focuses on experiences with institutionalized elderly in the city of Serra­ES, produced with a focus on contributing to the quality of life of this population, based on the notion of health as a r i ght and goes beyond the anatomophysiological dimension. The interventions/ actions were carried out, therefore, in the long­term care institutions for the elderly (LTCF) in the municipality, through the extension project called "Tem um minuto para mim?", with the partnership of volunteers invited to compose the visitation's schedule to LTCF. The actions / interventions carried out took place in the form of workshops offered to the public, within the scope of the LTCFs, included activities with domestic animals rescued by the animal shelter "Vira Lata Vira Luxo"; slime; building panels of individual and collective stories; workshops with virtual reality equipment; storytelling workshop; games; dance, among many others. At the same time, donations of personal hygiene and cleaning material and non­perishable food were collected to be delivered to the LTCFs during visits. It was possible, in addition to seeking volunteers' awareness of issues related to aging, work and, ultimately, life; foster closer ties between the institution and the community of which it is a part, through an educational space­time that can be used as a pedagogical tool for undergraduate courses; in addition to seeking to contribute to improving the health and quality of life of institutionalized elderly people, understanding them as subjects and not as "objects" of (professional) intervention.

RESUMEN EEn la actualidad, la Organización Mundial de la Salud y la Educación Médica Superior orientan sus actividades educativas, investigativas y de servicio a las necesidades prioritarias en su comunidad, región y/o nación. En consecuencia, los docentes e investigadores reconocen la necesidad de implicarse en la cuarta estrategia mundial de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, denominada Fin a la tuberculosis (2015-2035), e introducen una propuesta con el objetivo de diseñar un sistema de sensibilización sobre la tuberculosis, en aras de incentivar la responsabilidad social de los docentes al respecto. El impacto de los resultados esperados de este estudio, tendrá carácter educativo y social, ya que contribuye a la concientización de los docentes frente al fenómeno de la tuberculosis, y en consecuencia, a la formación de profesionales con perfil de egreso de alto nivel, en concordancia con las exigencias del momento histórico en que se sitúa la sociedad ecuatoriana, y el Sistema de Educación Superior en Ecuador.


ABSTRACT Currently, the World Health Organization and Higher Medical Education orient their educational, research and service activities to the priority needs in their community, region and / or nation. Consequently, professors and researchers recognize the need to be involved in the fourth world strategy of the World Health Organization, called End to Tuberculosis (2015-2035), and introduce a proposal aimed at designing a system of awareness raising on tuberculosis, in order to encourage the social responsibility of professors in this regard. The impact of its expected results will be of educational and social nature, since it contributes to the awareness of professors in facing the phenomenon of tuberculosis, and consequently, to the training of professionals with a high-profile graduation profile, in accordance with the requirements of the historical moment in which Ecuadorian society is located, and the Higher Education System in Ecuador.

Resumen: En el presente artículo el autor analiza los presupuestos y límites del principio de confianza como criterio de concreción del cuidado debido exigible a los médicos. Para ello, se distingue entre división horizontal y vertical del trabajo. En el ámbito de la división horizontal, se destaca la relevancia que tiene una clara delimitación de ámbitos de responsabilidad para la vigencia del principio de confianza. En el plano de la división vertical, se explica la delegación de actividades médicas en enfermeras y auxiliares paramédicos (contemplada en el inc. 2º del art. 113 del Código Sanitario), así como los deberes de elección, instrucción y supervigilancia que han de cumplirse para que los facultativos puedan confiar en la correcta ejecución de las tareas delegadas.


Resumo: No presente artigo o autor analisa os pressupostos e limites do princípio da confiança como critério de materialização do cuidado devido exigido dos médicos. Para isso se distingue entre divisão horizontal e vertical do trabalho. No âmbito da divisão horizontal se destaca a relevância que tem uma clara delimitação de âmbitos de responsabilidade para a vigência do princípio da confiança. No plano vertical se explica a delegação de atividades médicas para enfermeiras e auxiliares paramédicos (contemplada no parágrafo 2º do artigo 113 do Código Sanitário), assim como os deveres de eleição, instrução e supervigilância que se tem de cumprir para que os médicos possam confiar na correta execução das tarefas delegadas.


Abstract: In the present article, the author analyzes the pre-requisites and boundaries of the principle of reliance as a criterion for determining the due care that can be demanded from physicians. For that purpose, a distinction is made between horizontal and vertical division of labour. Regarding horizontal division, the relevance of a clear delimitation of scopes of responsibility for the principle of reliance to apply is highlighted. Regarding vertical division, an explanation about delegation of medical activities to nurses and paramedic auxiliaries (contemplated in indent 2 of article 113 of the Sanitary Code) is offered, as well as one about the duties of selection, instruction and supervision that must be fulfilled for the physicians to be allowed to trust in the correct execution of the delegated tasks.

ABSTRACT

Como parte de la política de trabajo en las Universidades de Ciencias Médicas cubanas está la formación de estudiantes extranjeros, que responde tanto a intereses por convenios entre países como individuales a través del autofinanciamiento. La Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Cienfuegos ha graduado más de 2400 jóvenes de 69 países del mundo en sus más de 30 años de formación; entre ellos se encuentran los graduados bolivianos. A más de una década del arribo de jóvenes bolivianos a Cienfuegos y como parte del cumplimiento de la colaboración médica en la República de Bolivia, de quienes fueron sus dirigentes y profesores, este trabajo plantea valorar la consolidación de la formación en Cuba para médicos bolivianos desde sus perfiles de ubicación laboral actuales según diferentes programas de salud en los que se desempeñan. Para cumplimentar este objetivo se realizaron entrevistas con graduados, se participó de conjunto en actividades científicas de la Brigada Médica Cubana, en un curso nacional de posgrado y se realizaron algunas valoraciones en sus puestos laborales actuales.


Part of the policy of the Cuban Medical Universities is the formation of foreign students which meet the requirements of agreements between countries or by self-financing. The University of Medical Sciences has graduated more than 2400 young doctors of 69 countries in its more than thirty years of formation programs, among them Bolivians. At more than a decade of the Bolivian youngsters to Cienfuegos and as part of the fulfillment of the medical collaboration in The Republic of Bolivia, of those who were their teachers and leaders, this work states to value the consolidation of the formation in Cuba for Bolivian doctors from their working profiles according to the different health programs they develop. To comply with this objective, interviews to graduates were realized, there were scientific events together with the Cuban Medical Brigade, in a National postgraduate course and an assessment of their present working positions was done.

Este artículo considera la categoría del duelo a partir de la pregunta por la función de determinados desarrollos científicos que podrían o no constituirse en mediación instrumental frente a la tramitación simbólica de la pérdida. Desde las múltiples resonancias posibles de la serie Black Mirror, este artículo considerará especialmente el Episodio 1 de la 2° temporada, titulado "Be right back" para interrogar el estatuto del objeto del que se trata en el duelo y considerar que en tanto ajuste de cuentas con el objeto perdido (que no existe), se presentaría a priori interrogado en una práctica orientada por la ilusión de recuperación del objeto (creando un sustituto robótico que lo reemplaza y obtura la tramitación simbólica de la pérdida)


This article considers the category of grief based on the issue of the function of some scientific developments that may or not constitute instrumental mediation to face the symbolic processing of loss. Between the multiple resonances of the Black Mirror serie, this article will especially consider Episode 1 of the 2nd season, entitled "Be right back" to interrogate the category of the object involved in the grief and to consider this process as an adjustment of accounts with the lost object (considering that this episode presents a practice oriented by the illusion of recovering the object creating a robotic substitute that replaces it and prevent from symbolic processing of the loss)

ABSTRACT

OBJETIVO: Conhecer a experiência das puérperas de risco, hospitalizadas com o filho recém-nascido internado na unidade de terapia intensiva neonatal. MÉTODO: Trata-se de uma pesquisa com abordagem qualitativa, de caráter exploratório. Participaram do estudo nove puérperas de risco, hospitalizadas. A coleta de informações ocorreu por meio de entrevista semi-estruturada e observação participante, analisadas conforme referencial da Análise de Conteúdo. RESULTADOS: Emergiram 3 categorias temáticas: as relações estabelecidas durante a hospitalização; a rede de apoio tecida pela puérpera de risco; os desafios enfrentados pela puérpera de risco. CONCLUSÃO: Durante o processo de internação da puérpera de risco e do seu recém-nascido, essa enfrenta desafios que abrangem a lida com as mudanças de percurso do parto, do nascimento e da construção da sua maternidade, impostas pela sua condição clínica e do seu recém-nascido. O estudo aponta a necessidade de construção e fortalecimento de ações de cuidado voltadas ao bem-estar da puérpera de risco, hospitalizada e com o filho recém-nascido internado na unidade de terapia intensiva neonatal.


OBJECTIVE: To know the experience of puerperal risk patients hospitalized with the newborn child hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit. METHOD: This is a research with a qualitative, exploratory approach. Study participants were nine risk mothers hospitalized. Data collection occurred through semi-structured interviews and participant observation, analyzed according to the Content Analysis framework. RESULTS: Three thematic categories emerged: relationships established during hospitalization; the support network woven by the puerperal woman at risk; the challenges faced by the puerperal woman at risk. CONCLUSION: During the hospitalization process of the puerperal women and her newborn, she faces challenges that deal with the changes in the course of delivery, her maternity birth and construction, imposed by her clinical condition and her newborn. The study points out the need build and strengthen care actions of the well-being of hospitalized risk puerperal woman and with her newborn child hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit.

MÉTODOS: Se trata de una investigación con enfoque cualitativo, desde la perspectiva de un estudio exploratorio. Los participantes del estudio fueron nueve puérperas de riesgo, hospitalizadas. La recolección de datos ocurrió por medio de entrevistas semiestructuradas y observación participante, analizadas de acuerdo a referencia del Análisis de Contenido. RESULTADOS: Surgieron tres categorías temáticas: las relaciones establecidas durante la hospitalización; la red de apoyo tejida por el riesgo de las mujeres después del parto; los desafíos que enfrentan las puérperas en riesgo. CONCLUSIÓN: Durante el proceso de internación de la puérpera de riesgo y de su niño recién nacido, ella enfrenta desafíos que abarcan el tratamiento con los cambios de recorrido del parto, del nacimiento y de la construcción de su maternidad, impuestas por su condición clínica y de su recién nacido. El estudio señala la necesidad de la construcción y el fortalecimiento de las acciones de cuidado del bienestar de la puérpera en riesgo después del parto, hospitalizada y con su niño recién nacido hospitalizado en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales.

ABSTRACT

Num panorama de desigualdade e iniquidade sociais crescentes, considerar a saúde como sendo um direito fundamental e buscar o idealizado bem-estar físico, mental e social passa por decisões relacionadas às esferas governamentais, institucionais e da comunidade, que tem influência direta dos determinantes sociais da saúde (DSS). Pensando-se no papel das instituições de educação superior e o processo de formação do médico, sua complexidade exige estratégias diversas para que esse profissional possa trazer melhores respostas às necessidades de saúde da população. Para tanto, tenta-se intervir em diversos eixos, tanto em relação à legislação, adaptando os currículos às Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais, quanto por meio de novas pedagogias de aprendizado, que via problematização fazem uma aproximação teórico-prática. O estudante passa a ter oportunidade de aprender sobre os determinantes sociais de saúde, saindo-se de um modelo de formação puramente biomédica, para uma visão crítica, reflexiva e associada à responsabilidade social. As experiências curriculares podem trazer respostas enriquecedoras condizentes com o ideal de saúde proposto. Utilizando-se a Escola Superior de Ciências da Saúde (ESCS) de Brasília, com seu cenário de ensino na atenção primária, desenvolvida no eixo Interação Ensino Serviço e Comunidade (IESC), buscou-se compreender a percepção sobre a presença do tema dos determinantes sociais de saúde sob a ótica dos estudantes e docentes do curso de medicina dessa instituição. Realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa, com análise documental do Projeto político-pedagógico da escola e dos manuais do IESC, além de análise de conteúdo de entrevistas semiestruturadas, com foco na percepção dos docentes e discentes. Frente a experiências curriculares que buscam o foco no desenvolvimento de responsabilidade social da instituição, bem como com a inserção dos temas dos determinantes sociais de saúde, encontrou-se nos documentos uma necessidade de aprofundamento teórico e uma melhor correlação teórico-prática das atividades. Frente às percepções dos docentes e estudantes, identificou-se como fortalezas o cenário de atenção primária e sua complexidade como ideal para desenvolver-se o conhecimento sobre os DSS. A diversidade de cenários propicia um aprendizado significativo para além dos conteúdos puramente biomédicos, desenvolvendo empatia e visão mais integrada e ampla sobre o papel do médico e a necessidade da interprofissionalidade para a oferta de cuidados de qualidade em saúde. Como aspectos a serem melhorados, foram pontuados a necessidade de melhor correlação teórico-prática ao longo do currículo e de outros eixos, a melhor capacitação docente e o aproveitamento de temas correlacionados como a violência e a desigualdade, vivenciadas nas visitas domiciliares, mas ainda com sistematização e uniformidade necessárias para qualificar o aprendizado e a formação médica. O estudo deixa ainda como sugestão de abordagem futura a inclusão da percepção da comunidade e de outros profissionais de saúde. Esta dissertação espera trazer elementos que colaborem com o desenvolvimento de um currículo de medicina voltado para a maior responsabilidade social


In an increasingly socially unequal and inequitable context, considering health as an essential right and pursuing the idealized physical, mental and social welfare involve governmental, institutional and communal decisions, and the community is directly influenced by Social Determinants of Health (SDH). Considering the role of higher education institutions and the doctor education process, its complexity requires several strategies so that these professionals can further address the population's health needs. In order to do so, there is an attempt to intervene in several levels, regarding both legislation, through the adaptation of the curricula to the National Curriculum Guidelines, and new learning pedagogical methods, which make a theoretical-practical approach through problematization. Students then have the opportunity to learn about the social determinants of health, emerging from a purely biomedical education into a critical, reflective perspective, connected with social responsibility. Curricular experiences can bring enriching answers consistent with the health ideal proposed. This work was developed at Escola Superior de Ciências da Saúde (ESCS), an institution located in Brasília and whose teaching background is centered on the primary care, developed on the Education-Service-Community Interaction (IESC) level, and its objective was to understand the perception on the theme of social determinants of health held by medicine students and professors from the aforementioned institution. A qualitative research was developed with the documental analysis of the institution's political-pedagogical Project and IESC's guidebooks, in addition to content analysis of semi-structured interviews focused on students' and professors' perception. In view of curricular experiences that intend to address the institution's development of social responsibilities, as well as the inclusion of the theme of social determinants of health, a need for a deeper theoretical development and a better correlation between theory and practice in the activities was observed in the documents. After analyzing the perceptions of students and professors, the primary care setting and its complexity as an ideal to broaden knowledge on SDH were identified as strong points. The diversity of settings offers a significant learning experience that goes beyond purely biomedical contents, developing empathy and a more integrated and broader perspective on the role of doctors and the need for interprofessionality in order to provide high-quality healthcare. The following elements were identified as improvement points: the need for a better correlation between theory and practice throughout the curriculum and other levels, a better teacher training and the exploration of correlated themes such as violence and inequality, experienced in home visits, although it still needs systematization and uniformity to qualify the learning and the medical education. The study also suggests the inclusion of the community's and other healthcare professionals' perception in a future approach. This essay aims to contribute to a social responsibility driven medical curriculum development
