ABSTRACT

With the logistics industry becoming an important part of economic development, logistics activities have given rise to various environmental problems, which that affect the sustainable development of the ecological environment. In order to understand the status of regional sustainable development, it is of great significance to study the level of coordinated development of regional logistics and the ecological environment, and determine which variables will affect their coordinated development. To accomplish this objective, the entropy method is used to give the corresponding weight to each index and calculate the coupling degree and coordination degree of regional logistics and the ecological environment; next, the coupling coordination level of regional logistics and ecological environment in different provinces from 2010 to 2019 is measured by the coupling coordination degree model; then, we study the spatial effect of the influencing factors on the coordinated development level of regional logistics and ecological environment in 30 provinces of China from 2010 to 2019. At the same time, we investigate the spatial effect of each influencing factor on the coordination level. On the basis of the findings, relevant suggestions and measures are proposed. The main conclusions are as follows: (i) As China's economy is in the process of transformation to high-quality development, the coordinated development of regional logistics and the ecological environment is still at a relatively low level; (ii) due to the differences in the development basis of each region, the coordinated development level of regional logistics and the ecological environment is characterized by a regional imbalance; (iii) because of the significant spatial spillover effect, the coordinated development level of regional logistics and ecological environment shows obvious correlation in space.

ABSTRACT

Regional logistics is an important part of the regional economy. It plays an important role in optimizing the allocation of regional resources, promoting the upgrading of regional industrial structure, and promoting the sustainable development of regional economy. It is known as the "accelerator" of regional economic growth. Under the background of the expanding regional economic differences in China, this article focuses on the important components of regional economy, researching on regional logistics in different regions. This article focuses on the regional logistics development level, the internal mechanism of regional logistics promoting regional economic growth, the current situation and influencing factors of regional logistics development level differences, and the regional logistics development level differences. The purpose of this article is to study the application of artificial intelligence technology to the spatial difference analysis of China's regional logistics development and the construction of information network platform under the background of the new economy. In this article, factor analysis is used to construct the index system. The research shows that the intensity of regional logistics connection is significantly enhanced, the regional logistics network is further improved, and a relatively complete multilevel regional logistics network structure is basically formed. In addition, there are great differences in the level of logistics development among regions. The characteristics of the spatial distribution circle in the eastern, central, and western regions are obvious, which is positively related to the economic development, in the Pearl River Delta with the strongest comprehensive competitiveness. The score coefficient of the Yangtze River Delta logistics area is 1.464, and the score coefficient of the northwest logistics weakest area is -0.328. The development of regional logistics can focus on the construction of logistics park, the construction of logistics network system, the progress of regional logistics technology, and the improvement of logistics efficiency. The construction of logistics park is conducive to the integration of regional logistics resources, improves the utilization efficiency of regional logistics resources, forms the economies of scale, and then reduces the transaction cost of the whole region.

ABSTRACT

As the largest developing country in the world, China has witnessed fast-paced urbanization over the past three decades with rapid economic growth. In fact, urbanization has been not only shown to promote economic growth and improve the livelihood of people but also can increase demands of regional logistics. Therefore, a better understanding of the relationship between urbanization and regional logistics is important for China's future sustainable development. The development of urban residential area and heterogeneous, modern society as well regional logistics are running two abreast. The regional logistics can promote the development of new-type urbanization jointly by promoting industrial concentration and logistics demand, enhancing the residents' quality of life and improving the infrastructure and logistics technology. In this paper, the index system and evaluation model for evaluating the development of regional logistics and the new-type urbanization are constructed. Further, the econometric analysis is utilized such as correlation analysis, co-integration test, and error correction model to explore relationships of the new-type urbanization development and regional logistics development in Liaoning Province. The results showed that there was a long-term stable equilibrium relationship between the new-type urbanization and regional logistics. The findings have important implications for Chinese policymakers that on the path towards a sustainable urbanization and regional reverse, this must be taken into consideration. The paper concludes providing some strategies that might be helpful to the policymakers in formulating development policies for sustainable urbanization.
