RESUMEN

(1) Background: Communication is the main issue between the patient and physician. Communication gaps lead to medical errors, mistakes, and wrong diagnoses and treatments. It would certainly be a cause of patient dissatisfaction, the physicians' job dissatisfaction, and the increase in the cost of health services. (2) Objectives: The objective of the study was to explore the perception of Saudi patients when they meet non-Saudi consultants at hospitals. (3) Material and Methods: This study is exploratory in nature. Semi-structured face to face interviews were conducted. Study participants were patients from the outpatient department of the Hospitals of Qassim province, Saudi Arabia. A total of eight respondents, four male and four female, participated in the study. (4) Results: Interviews were transcribed verbatim and analyzed using a thematic analysis approach. Two main themes emerged: the first theme is encountering difference, with three sub-themes, while the second one is the absence of partnering, with four sub-themes. (5) Conclusions: The analysis of the patients' experiences of their medical encounters revealed that the effectiveness of the physician-patient communication was jeopardized by two challenges: encountering differences and the absence of partnering. (6) Limitations: This study was conducted in one site only and hence findings must be tested in application to other sites in other parts of Saudi Arabia and in other similar countries. A further limitation of this study was the cultural barrier that was encountered by the researcher during the interview process.

OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to investigate relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intention of health-care professionals using the moderated moderating approach. METHODS: Explanatory sequential research design was applied. Non-probability convenience sampling technique was used to determine the sample size using Weiers formula. Scales adopted in the current study were validated through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. To test the hypothesis correlation, the hierarchical multiple regression was used. In the second stage, semi-structured face-to-face interviews from 35 interviewees were conducted and transcribed in Nvivo. RESULTS: Job descriptive index, cognitive style index (CSI), cognitive style indicator, and turnover intention scales were found to be reliable. Furthermore, correlation analysis shows that the factors of job satisfaction were significantly correlated with turnover intention. In addition, findings of the interviews highlighted the importance of cognitive styles for increasing the job satisfaction of health-care professionals. CONCLUSIONS: Study concludes that the involvement of health-care professionals in making health-care policies enhances their job satisfaction that also reflected on their performance. Moreover, it also reduces their turnover intention of workforce.

BACKGROUND: Human health issues caused by Cigarette Smoke Carcinogens (CSC) are increasing rapidly every day and challenging the scientific community to provide a better understanding in order to avoid its impact on communities. Cigarette smoke also contains tobacco-based chemical compounds harmful to human beings, either smokers or non-smokers. OBJECTIVE: We have tested 7H-Dibenzo[c,g]carbazole (7H-DBC) and Dibenz[a,h]acridine (DBAD) derivatives of Asz-arenes along with N'-Nitrosoanabasine (NAB) and N-Nitrosoanatabine (NAT) derivatives of N-Nitrosamines molecular interaction with CNS biomolecules. METHODS: Computational synergistic approaches like system biology and molecular interaction techniques were implemented to conduct the analysis. RESULTS: CSC efficiently interacted with NRAS, KRAS, CDH1, and RAC1 molecular targets in CNS. We have also performed the interactome analysis followed by system biology approaches and found that HSPA8 is the most important hub protein for the network generated for CSC-hampered genes of CNS. We have also identified 6 connector proteins, namely TP53, HSP90AA1, PPP2CA, CDH1, CTNNB1, and ARRB1. Further analysis revealed that NRAS and CDH1 have maximum interactions with all the selected CSC. CONCLUSION: The obtained structural analysis data could be utilized to assess the carcinogenic effect of CSC and could be useful in the treatment of CNS diseases and disorders induced, especially by tobacco-specific carcinogens, or it could also be used in vivo/ in vitro experimentation model designing.

Keeping in view the public health-related issues of Alzheimer's disease (AD), its unpredictable occurrence and progression indicate the needs for best treatment options. The present bioinformatics study explores the binding pattern and molecular interactions between human acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE) enzymes with natural compounds from Bacopa monnieri. The docking analysis between natural compounds as a ligand and AChE, BuChE as a receptor was completed using MGL tools Autodock 4.2 module. The analysis of the hydrophobic interactions, inhibition constants, and hydrogen bonds may indicates that they play a significant role in finding out the interacting position at the active site. However, after analyzing the binding energy (ΔG), the documented data shows that bacoside X, bacoside A, 3-beta-D-glucosylstigmasterol and daucosterol could be good inhibitors in the inhibition of AChE and BuChE activities. Therefore, our study indicates that the inhibition constants of the aforesaid natural compounds of Bacopa can be utilized for the development of inhibitors.

BACKGROUND: Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 represents a major structural shift in all economic sectors. Health care is one of the largest sectors significantly contributing to achievement of the vision OBJECTIVES: To provide an overview of health workforce in Saudi Arabia and identify various critical issues and challenges that need to be addressed in achieving health system goals envisaged in the Vision. METHODS: This paper is based on extensive review of literature conducted to stimulate pertinent descriptive information on health workforce in Saudi Arabia. FINDINGS: Saudi nationals constitute 44% of all health workforce and 29.5% of all physicians employed by the health system. Among Saudi nationals, there is a significant underrepresentation of females except in the nursing profession. The health workforce is beleaguered with numerical inadequacy, skill imbalance, gender disparity, and access issues. CONCLUSION: Health system needs to adopt a rigorous approach by investing heavily on medical, nursing, and other specialized fields of education. Planning for the health workforce needs to adopt appropriate strategies that reflect all aspects including the number, skills, and gender distribution for meeting the future health needs of population to facilitate achievement of Vision.
