RESUMEN

We describe the case of a 51-year-old female renal transplant recipient with primary cutaneous CD30-positive large-cell lymphoma of T-cell origin. Cutaneous T-cell lymphomas are rarely reported in organ transplant recipients, and we believe they should be considered in the differential diagnosis of cutaneous neoplastic and infectious diseases affecting this patient group.

RESUMEN

We present the case of a 44-year-old woman with chondromyxoid fibroma of temporal bone origin. Since this is the least common bone tumor of cartilaginous origin, it is highly unusual to find this tumor in the skull. In fact, the literature describes 18 cases of this form of neoplasia arising in the skull, only 4 of these having originated in the temporal bone. To date, the radiological features of these tumors, and especially features detected using the latest imaging modalities, have not been described in detail. This report is unique in that it is the first to present a case of chondromyxoid fibroma of the temporal bone accompanied by detailed CT and MRI findings.

RESUMEN

The authors report three quite rare lesions of the sellar/parasellar region. They are namely; pituitary abscess, cystic macroadenoma and osteochondroma. In none of the cases, the preoperative diagnostic priority was not same as the final histopathologic diagnosis. The radiologic findings of these pathologies are discussed with emphasis on differential diagnosis.

RESUMEN

A patient with dermoid tumor, presenting with persistent hypoglycorrhachia in the absence of cerebrospinal fluid pleocytosis is reported. The presence of ring enhancements without infection, surrounding edema, and mass effect on computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging are unusual findings for these tumors.

RESUMEN

An abdominal pregnancy after treatment for female genital tuberculosis is presented. Early treatment after the diagnosis of female genital tuberculosis may restore fertility in the rare patient. Chemotherapy is the cornerstone of therapy. Ectopic pregnancies are common and should be ruled out to avoid catastrophic results.
