RESUMEN

Introduction: Medical schools seeking to correct and reform curricula towards anti-racist perspectives need to address anti-Black forms of racism specifically and teach students critical upstander skills to interrupt manifestations of racism. We developed a course to teach preclinical medical students basic anti-racism competencies including recognition and awareness of anti-Black racism in medicine and upstander skills to advocate for patients and colleagues. Methods: In 2021 and 2022, we designed, implemented, and evaluated an elective course for second-year medical students (N = 149) to introduce competencies of anti-racism focusing on upstander skills for addressing anti-Blackness. We designed three patient cases and one student-centered case to illustrate manifestations of anti-Black racism in medicine and used these cases to stimulate small-group discussions and guide students toward recognizing and understanding ways of responding to racism. We designed pre- and postassessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the course and utilized anonymous feedback surveys. Results: Participants showed significant improvement in pre- to postassessment scores in both years of the course. The anonymous feedback survey showed that 97% of students rated the course at least somewhat effective, and the qualitative responses revealed five core themes: course timing, case complexity, learner differentiation, direct instruction, and access to resources. Discussion: This course reinforces upstander competencies necessary for advancing anti-racism in medicine. It addresses a gap in medical education by reckoning with the entrenched nature of anti-Black racism in the culture of medicine and seeks to empower undergraduate medical students to advocate for Black-identifying patients and colleagues.

Background and Objectives: Consumer credit has shown increasing relevance to the health of older adults; however, studies have not been able to assess the extent to which creditworthiness influences future health or health influences future creditworthiness. We assessed the relationships between 4-year pre and postmorbid consumer credit history and self-rated physical and mental health outcomes among older adults. Research Design and Methods: Generalized estimating equations models assessed pre and postmorbid credit history (credit scores, derogatory accounts, and unpaid accounts in collections) and the onset of poor self-rated health (SF-36 score <50) among 1,740 participants aged 65+ in the Advanced Cognitive Training for Independent and Vital Elderly study from 2001 to 2017, linked to TransUnion consumer credit data. Results: In any given year, up to 1/4 of participants had a major derogatory, unpaid, or collections account, and up to 13% of the sample had poor health. Each 50-point increase in credit score trended toward a 5% lower odds of poor health in the next 1 year, a 6% lower odds in the next 2 years, and a statistically significant finding of 13% lower odds by 3 years. A drop in credit score was associated with a 10% greater odds of poor health in the next year, and having a major derogatory account was associated with an 86% greater odds of poor health in the next 3 years. After poor health onset, credit scores continued to see significant losses up to the 3 years, with larger decrements over time. Discussion and Implications: Having a major derogatory account or a sudden loss in credit may be a time to monitor older adults for changes in health. After a downturn in health, supporting older adults to manage their debt may help stabilize their credit.

BACKGROUND: There is increasing concern for the potential impact of health care algorithms on racial and ethnic disparities. PURPOSE: To examine the evidence on how health care algorithms and associated mitigation strategies affect racial and ethnic disparities. DATA SOURCES: Several databases were searched for relevant studies published from 1 January 2011 to 30 September 2023. STUDY SELECTION: Using predefined criteria and dual review, studies were screened and selected to determine: 1) the effect of algorithms on racial and ethnic disparities in health and health care outcomes and 2) the effect of strategies or approaches to mitigate racial and ethnic bias in the development, validation, dissemination, and implementation of algorithms. DATA EXTRACTION: Outcomes of interest (that is, access to health care, quality of care, and health outcomes) were extracted with risk-of-bias assessment using the ROBINS-I (Risk Of Bias In Non-randomised Studies - of Interventions) tool and adapted CARE-CPM (Critical Appraisal for Racial and Ethnic Equity in Clinical Prediction Models) equity extension. DATA SYNTHESIS: Sixty-three studies (51 modeling, 4 retrospective, 2 prospective, 5 prepost studies, and 1 randomized controlled trial) were included. Heterogenous evidence on algorithms was found to: a) reduce disparities (for example, the revised kidney allocation system), b) perpetuate or exacerbate disparities (for example, severity-of-illness scores applied to critical care resource allocation), and/or c) have no statistically significant effect on select outcomes (for example, the HEART Pathway [history, electrocardiogram, age, risk factors, and troponin]). To mitigate disparities, 7 strategies were identified: removing an input variable, replacing a variable, adding race, adding a non-race-based variable, changing the racial and ethnic composition of the population used in model development, creating separate thresholds for subpopulations, and modifying algorithmic analytic techniques. LIMITATION: Results are mostly based on modeling studies and may be highly context-specific. CONCLUSION: Algorithms can mitigate, perpetuate, and exacerbate racial and ethnic disparities, regardless of the explicit use of race and ethnicity, but evidence is heterogeneous. Intentionality and implementation of the algorithm can impact the effect on disparities, and there may be tradeoffs in outcomes. PRIMARY FUNDING SOURCE: Agency for Healthcare Quality and Research.

Introduction: Despite mounting evidence that the inclusion of race and ethnicity in clinical prediction models may contribute to health disparities, existing critical appraisal tools do not directly address such equity considerations. Objective: This study developed a critical appraisal tool extension to assess algorithmic bias in clinical prediction models. Methods: A modified e-Delphi approach was utilized to develop and obtain expert consensus on a set of racial and ethnic equity-based signaling questions for appraisal of risk of bias in clinical prediction models. Through a series of virtual meetings, initial pilot application, and an online survey, individuals with expertise in clinical prediction model development, systematic review methodology, and health equity developed and refined this tool. Results: Consensus was reached for ten equity-based signaling questions, which led to the development of the Critical Appraisal for Racial and Ethnic Equity in Clinical Prediction Models (CARE-CPM) extension. This extension is intended for use along with existing critical appraisal tools for clinical prediction models. Conclusion: CARE-CPM provides a valuable risk-of-bias assessment tool extension for clinical prediction models to identify potential algorithmic bias and health equity concerns. Further research is needed to test usability, interrater reliability, and application to decision-makers.

OBJECTIVES: We assessed the relationships between pre- and post-morbid consumer credit history (credit scores, debts unpaid, or in collections) and classification of mild (or greater) cognitive impairment (MCI). METHODS: Generalized Estimating Equation models assessed pre-and post-morbid credit history and MCI risk among 1740 participants aged 65+ in the Advanced Cognitive Training for Independent and Vital Elderly (ACTIVE) study, linked to TransUnion consumer credit data. RESULTS: Each 50-point increase in credit score was associated with up to 8% lower odds of MCI in the next 3 years. In contrast, new unpaid collections over doubled the odds of having MCI in the next 3 years. MCI was associated with subsequent credit score declines and a 47%-71% greater risk of having a new unpaid collection in the next 4 years. DISCUSSION: Credit declines may signal risk for future MCI. MCI may lead to financial challenges that warrant credit monitoring interventions for older adults.

Errors in clinical decision-making are disturbingly common. Recent studies have found that 10 to 15% of all clinical decisions regarding diagnoses and treatment are inaccurate. Here, we experimentally study the ability of structured information-sharing networks among clinicians to improve clinicians' diagnostic accuracy and treatment decisions. We use a pool of 2,941 practicing clinicians recruited from around the United States to conduct 84 independent group-level trials, ranging across seven different clinical vignettes for topics known to exhibit high rates of diagnostic or treatment error (e.g., acute cardiac events, geriatric care, low back pain, and diabetes-related cardiovascular illness prevention). We compare collective performance in structured information-sharing networks to collective performance in independent control groups, and find that networks significantly reduce clinical errors, and improve treatment recommendations, as compared to control groups of independent clinicians engaged in isolated reflection. Our results show that these improvements are not a result of simple regression to the group mean. Instead, we find that within structured information-sharing networks, the worst clinicians improved significantly while the best clinicians did not decrease in quality. These findings offer implications for the use of social network technologies to reduce errors among clinicians.

BACKGROUND: Food access for patients remains a critical need for health systems to address given varying resource availability and inefficient coordination among health and food services. AIM: Develop and evaluate the Food Access Support Technology (FAST), a centralized digital platform for food access that pairs health systems with food and delivery community-based organizations (CBOs). SETTING AND PARTICIPANTS: Two health systems, 12 food partners, and 2 delivery partners in Philadelphia, PA. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Using FAST, referrers can post requests for food delivery on recipients' behalf, which are reviewed and claimed by eligible CBOs that can prepare food boxes for delivery to people's homes. PROGRAM EVALUATION: Between March 2021 and July 2022, FAST received 364 requests, representing 207 food insecure households in 51 postal codes. The platform facilitated the completion of 258 (70.9%) requests, with a median completion time of 5 (IQR 0-7) days and a median of only 1.5 days (IQR 0-5) for requests marked "urgent." Qualitative interviews with FAST end-users endorsed the usability of the FAST platform and its effectiveness in facilitating resource-sharing between partners. DISCUSSION: Our findings suggest that centralized platforms can address household food insecurity by (1) streamlining partnerships between health systems and CBOs for food delivery and (2) facilitating the real-time coordination of resources among CBOs.

RESUMEN

To mitigate the structural and institutional biases that contribute to inequities in health, we need a diverse cadre of individuals to feel included and advance within our field in order to bring a multicultural set of perspectives to the studies we conduct, the science we generate, the health and academic systems we design, and the medical and scientific knowledge we impart. There has been increasing focus on diversity, inclusion, and equity in recent years; however, often these terms are presented without adequate precision and, therefore, the inability to effectively operationalize inclusion and achieve diversity within organizations. This narrative review details several key studies, with the primary objective of presenting a roadmap to guide defining, measuring, and operationalizing inclusion within work and learning environments.

The purpose of this scoping review is to determine trends in racial and ethnic representation, identify barriers and facilitators to greater diversity, and assess strategies and interventions to advance diversity among those in the pediatric research workforce in the U.S. We conducted a scoping review of PubMed supplemented with the authors' personal library of papers published from January 1, 2010, to December 31, 2021. To be eligible, papers had to provide original data, be published in English, report information from a U.S. healthcare institution, and report on outcomes of interest relevant to the child health field. The diversity of faculty has modestly increased over the past decade but reflects a worsening representation compared to overall population trends. This slow increase reflects a loss of diverse faculty and has been referred to as a "leaky pipeline." Strategies to plug the "leaky pipeline" include greater investments in pipeline programs, implementation of holistic review and implicit bias training, development of mentoring and faculty programs targeted to diverse faculty and trainees, alleviation of burdensome administrative tasks, and creation of more inclusive institutional environments. Modest improvements in the racial and ethnic diversity of the pediatric research workforce were identified. However, this reflects worsening overall representation given changing U.S. population demographics. IMPACT: Racial and ethnic diversity in the pediatric research workforce has shown modest increases but worsening overall representation. This review identified barriers and facilitators at the intrapersonal, interpersonal, and institutional levels that impact BIPOC trainees and faculty career advancement. Strategies to improve the pathway for BIPOC individuals include greater investments in pipeline and educational programs, implementation of holistic review admissions and bias training, institution of mentoring and sponsorship, alleviation of burdensome administrative responsibilities, and creation of inclusive institutional climates. Future studies should rigorously test the effects of interventions and strategies designed to improve diversity in the pediatric research workforce.

Problem: Medical educators increasingly champion holistic review. However, in U.S. residency selection, holistic review has been difficult to implement, hindered by a reliance on standardized academic criteria such as board scores. Masking faculty interviewers to applicants' academic files is a potential means of promoting holistic residency selection by increasing the interview's ability to make a discrete contribution to evaluation. However, little research has directly analyzed the effects of masking on how residency selection committees evaluate applicants. This mixed-methods study examined how masking interviews altered residency selection in an anesthesiology program at a large U.S. academic medical center. Intervention: During the 2019-2020 residency selection season in the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, we masked interviewers to the major academic components of candidates' application files (board scores, transcripts, letters) on approximately half of interview days. The intent of the masking intervention was to mitigate the tendency of interviewers to form predispositions about candidates based on standardized academic criteria and thereby allow the interview to make a more independent contribution to candidate evaluation. Context: Our examination of the masking intervention used a concurrent, partially mixed, equal-status mixed-methods design guided by a pragmatist approach. We audio-recorded selection committee meetings and qualitatively analyzed them to explore how masking affected the process of candidate evaluation. We also collected independent candidate ratings from interviewers and consensus committee ratings and statistically compared ratings of candidates interviewed on masked days to ratings from conventional days. Impact: In conventional committee meetings, interviewers focused on how to reconcile academic metrics and interviews, and their evaluations of interviews were framed according to predispositions about candidates formed through perusal of application files. In masked meetings, members instead spent considerable effort evaluating candidates' "fit" and whether they came off as tactful. Masked interviewers gave halting opinions of candidates and sometimes pushed for committee leaders to reveal academic information, leading to masking breaches. Higher USMLE Step 1 score and higher medical school ranking were statistically associated with more favorable consensus rating. We found no significant differences in rating outcomes between masked and conventional interview days. Lessons learned: Elimination of academic metrics during the residency interview phase does not straightforwardly promote holistic review. While critical reflection among medical educators about the fairness and utility of such metrics has been productive, research and intervention should focus on the more proximate topic of how programs apply academic and other criteria to evaluate applicants.

Problem: To the best of our knowledge, there are no standard accountability measures for diversity efforts at the departmental level. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate a multiprong report card as a structure for evaluation, tracking, and reporting as well as to examine any relationships between expenditures and outcomes. Approach: We instituted an intervention that offered leadership a report card of metrics related to diversity efforts. Included are diversity expenditures, benchmark demographic and departmental data, applications to support faculty salaries, participation in clerkship programs focused on attracting diverse candidates, and requests for candidate lists. The purpose of this analysis is to demonstrate the impact of the intervention. Outcomes: A significant relationship was found between faculty funding applications and under-represented minority (URM) representation in a department (0.19; confidence interval [95% CI] 0.17-0.21; p<0.001). An association was also found between total expenditures and URM representation in a department (0.002; 95% CI 0.002-0.003; p<0.001). Other outcomes include the following: (1) women, URM, and minority faculty have all increased in representation since tracking began; (2) diversity expenditures and faculty opportunity fund and presidential professorship applications have increased over time; and (3) a steady decline in departments with zero URM representation after the tracking of diversity expenditures in both clinical and basic science departments. Next Steps: Our findings suggest that standardized metrics for inclusion and diversity initiatives promote accountability and buy-in from executive leadership. Departmental detail enables tracking of progress longitudinally. Future work will continue to evaluate the downstream effects of diversity expenditures.

PROBLEM: There are growing calls for medical education to effectively teach about and explicitly name racism as a driver of inequities in social determinants of health and inspire student action to address health inequities. APPROACH: Using a novel application of the generative co-design approach, in 2020 Perelman School of Medicine students and faculty implemented a student-led, interdisciplinary elective course for preclerkship medical students. The co-design process allowed for an iterative and conversation-based experience emphasizing how social systems and racist policies shape health care access and outcomes. Active student participation was integral to developing discussion questions to elicit how students' positions in power structures can uphold inequities. Community members and nonprofit leaders taught about the current realities of discrimination and how students could best advocate for patients in the future. Enrolled students (n = 17) and a control group of nonenrolled classmates (n = 37) completed the Anti-Racism Behavioral Inventory (ARBI) pre- and post-course to compare changes in antiracist behaviors. OUTCOMES: Course participants demonstrated a significant increase in ARBI scores (mean = 4.29 (7.30); t(16) = 2.42; P = .01), while students from the control group did not (mean = 1.43 (6.98); t(36) = 1.25; P = .11). The "individual advocacy" subdomain of the ARBI largely drove the change in ARBI scores, suggestive of increased antiracism behavior in the enrolled cohort. Students provided feedback offering praise for course elements and suggestions for improvement. NEXT STEPS: Early findings suggest that this course, created with a co-design approach, generated new experiences for medical students, increased their understanding of systemic racism, and increased individual antiracist advocacy. Future work, with larger class sizes and longitudinal measurement of behavior change, should further investigate the transformative effects of applying co-design strategies to medical education courses about race and health.

OBJECTIVE: The relationship between maternal health and health outcome of offspring has been studied extensively. However, measures such as family resilience in the context of maternal health are not well understood. The objective of this study was to determine if overall maternal health status is associated with family resilience. METHODS: Using the 2016 National Survey of Children's Health, a nationally representative survey of parents/guardians of children ages 0-17, we evaluated the association of overall maternal health status with measures of family resilience. The analysis was performed using descriptive and multivariable analyses. The study adjusted for current health insurance status, family structure of child's household, income level, highest education of adult in household, child race, primary household language, children with special health care needs, emotional support, neighborhood support, parental aggravation, and adverse childhood experiences. RESULTS: Compared to mothers who reported their physical health to be good, mothers who had a very good/excellent physical health status reported significantly higher adjusted rates for family resilience measures [Adjusted Odds Ratio (AOR) 0.741, 95% Confidence Interval (CI) (0.640, 0.859); p < 0.001]. Results suggested also that mothers whose mental health was very good/excellent were more likely to exhibit greater family resilience as compared to those that were good [(AOR) 0.452, 95% (CI) (0.390, 0.525); p < 0.001] or poor/fair [(AOR) 0.283, 95% (CI) (0.223, 0.360); p < 0.001]. CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that maternal mental and physical health may contribute to how families respond to adversity. Our findings highlight the importance of evaluating interventions that target both physical and mental aspects of maternal health status to better the resilience of the family unit. In the healthcare setting, maternal health services should ensure early detection and prevention of chronic conditions beyond obstetric care and detection and treatment of mental health.

OBJECTIVE: Prior work reveals that Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) programs decrease opioid use, improve mobilization, and shorten length of stay (LOS) among patients undergoing spine surgery. The impact of ERAS on outcomes by race/ethnicity is unknown. This study examined outcomes by race/ethnicity among neurosurgical patients enrolled in an ERAS program. METHODS: Patients undergoing elective spine or peripheral nerve surgeries at a multi-hospital university health system from April 2017 to November 2020 were enrolled in an ERAS program that involves preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative phases focused on improving outcomes through measures such as specialty consultations for co-morbidities, multimodal analgesia, early mobilization, and wound care education. The following outcomes for ERAS patients were compared by race/ethnicity: length of stay, discharge disposition, complications, readmission, pain level at discharge, and post-operative health rating. We estimated the association between race/ethnicity and the outcomes using linear and logistic regression models adjusting for age, sex, insurance, BMI, comorbid conditions, and surgery type. RESULTS: Among participants (n = 3449), 2874 (83.3%) were White and 575 (16.7%) were Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC). BIPOC patients had significantly longer mean length of stay compared to White patients (3.8 vs. 3.4 days, p = 0.005) and were significantly more likely to be discharged to a rehab or subacute nursing facility compared to White patients (adjusted odds ratio (95% CI): 3.01 (2.26-4.01), p < 0.001). The complication rate did not significantly differ between BIPOC and White patients (13.7% vs. 15.5%, p = 0.29). BIPOC patients were not significantly more likely to be readmitted within 30 days compared to White patients in the adjusted model (adjusted odds ratio (95% CI): 1.30 (0.91-1.86), p = 0.15) CONCLUSION: BIPOC as compared to White ERAS participants in ERAS undergoing neurosurgical procedures had significantly longer hospital stays and were significantly less likely to be discharged home. ERAS protocols present an opportunity to provide consistent high quality post-operative care, however while there is evidence that it improves care in aggregate, our results suggest significant disparities in outcomes by patient race/ethnicity despite enrollment in ERAS. Future inquiry must identify contributors to these disparities in the recovery pathway.

BACKGROUND: Patterns in access to specialists among patients in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) have not been previously described. OBJECTIVE: To measure access to outpatient specialty follow-up and subsequent emergency department (ED) visits by patient characteristics, including race/ethnicity and those who received specialty care during the hospitalization that preceded the SNF stay. DESIGN, SETTINGS, AND PARTICIPANTS: This retrospective cohort study used the minimum data set and 100% Medicare fee-for-service claims for beneficiaries admitted to an SNF between 2012 and 2014. Hospital stays for surgical procedures were excluded. MAIN OUTCOME AND MEASURES: The associations between ED visits, follow-up, and race/ethnicity were measured using logistic and linear regression, adjusting for patient demographic and clinical characteristics. RESULTS: The sample included 1,117,632 hospitalizations by Medicare beneficiaries ≥65 with a consult by a medical subspecialist followed by discharge to SNF. Of the sample, 85.4% were non-Hispanic White (NHW) and 14.6% were Black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), according to Medicare beneficiary records. During the SNF stay, BIPOC patients had lower odds of specialty follow-up compared to NHW patients (odds ratio [OR]: 0.96, 95% confidence intervals [CI]: 0.94-0.99, p = .004). BIPOC patients had higher rates of ED visits compared to NHW patients (with follow-up: 24.1% vs. 23.4%, and without follow-up: 27.4% vs. 25.9%, p < .001). Lack of follow-up was associated with a 0.8 percentage point difference in ED visits between BIPOC and NHW patients (95% CI: 0.3-1.3, p = .003). CONCLUSIONS: There is a racial/ethnic disparity in subspecialty follow-up after hospital discharge to SNF that is associated with a higher rate of subsequent ED visits by BIPOC patients.

RESUMEN

This case study illustrates the role and value of a social needs response team during times of crisis and beyond. The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in two simultaneous crises-the infectious disease crisis and the socioeconomic crisis. Unemployment and lost wages, housing and food insecurity, and increased childcare needs are just a few examples of the socioeconomic needs that skyrocketed during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the start of the pandemic, the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS) formed an interdisciplinary team of physicians, social workers, nurse practitioners and students of these professions to reimagine social needs screening in a way that could reach people during the pandemic and provide sustainable support for individual's evolving social needs. The Social Needs Response Team (SNRT) at UPHS utilized various secure platforms to keep members of the team connected with each other and their patients. Orientations for participating students included training on how to employ principles of crisis intervention theory, empathetic inquiry, and patient-led and family-centered care to best uncover and serve the needs of their patients. Alongside the illustrative case study, this piece details guiding principles and concepts that are essential to integrating social needs targeted care.

Importance: Prior studies have revealed gender differences in the milestone and clinical competency committee assessment of emergency medicine (EM) residents. Objective: To explore gender disparities and the reasons for such disparities in the narrative comments from EM attending physicians to EM residents. Design, Setting, and Participants: This multicenter qualitative analysis examined 10 488 narrative comments among EM faculty and EM residents between 2015 to 2018 in 5 EM training programs in the US. Data were analyzed from 2019 to 2021. Main Outcomes and Measures: Differences in narrative comments by gender and study site. Qualitative analysis included deidentification and iterative coding of the data set using an axial coding approach, with double coding of 20% of the comments at random to assess intercoder reliability (κ, 0.84). The authors reviewed the unmasked coded data set to identify emerging themes. Summary statistics were calculated for the number of narrative comments and their coded themes by gender and study site. χ2 tests were used to determine differences in the proportion of narrative comments by gender of faculty and resident. Results: In this study of 283 EM residents, of whom 113 (40%) identified as women, and 277 EM attending physicians, of whom 95 (34%) identified as women, there were notable gender differences in the content of the narrative comments from faculty to residents. Men faculty, compared with women faculty, were more likely to provide either nonspecific comments (115 of 182 [63.2%] vs 40 of 95 [42.1%]), or no comments (3387 of 10 496 [32.3%] vs 1169 of 4548 [25.7%]; P < .001) to men and women residents. Compared with men residents, more women residents were told that they were performing below level by men and women faculty (36 of 113 [31.9%] vs 43 of 170 [25.3%]), with the most common theme including lack of confidence with procedural skills. Conclusions and Relevance: In this qualitative study of narrative comments provided by EM attending physicians to residents, multiple modifiable contributors to gender disparities in assessment were identified, including the presence, content, and specificity of comments. Among women residents, procedural competency was associated with being conflated with procedural confidence. These findings can inform interventions to improve parity in assessment across graduate medical education.

RESUMEN

Despite a compelling body of evidence and decades of policy recommendations, deep inequities in health persist with historically marginalized groups. Operationalizing strategies to achieve equity in health and health care continues to remain elusive to health systems. We propose several focus areas; attention to semantics and concepts, building knowledge of health inequities, redesigning care and transforming cultures, to advance health equity work by health system nurse leaders and clinical nurses. Health equity frameworks, traditionally applied in population and public health, are also discussed to tackle health equity issues and formulate, implement and evaluate solutions to inequities. Examples illustrate ongoing work in our health system in targeted areas and challenges in advancing health equity work. Future efforts by health system nurse leaders should concentrate on technology for point of care health screening and data acquisition, data-driven decisions, and organizational performance measures to narrow health equity gaps.
