[Neonatal cytomegalovirus infection with development of liver fibrosis]. / Infection néonatale à cytomégalovirus à évolution hépatique fibrogène.

Neonatal cytomegalovirus hepatitis usually recover completely. The authors report a case evolving toward fibrosis, mostly perisinusoidal and with mild biliary hypoplasia. Similar cases with portal hypertension previously published are reviewed.

[Fatal congenital cutis laxa associated with bone fragility and ruptured arterial dissections]. / Cutis laxa congénitale létale associée à une fragilité osseuse et à des dissections artérielles rompues.

A male newborn exhibited congenital cutis laxa, bone disease and multiple fractures, and lethal ruptured arterial dissections. At post-mortem examination, the histologic elastic tissue of skin and arteries was dysplastic. The bone fragility is unexplained.

A spontaneous lymphoblastic lymphoma in a guinea-pig.

The exceptional carcinoresistance of guinea-pigs is well known and only a few cases of spontaneous leukaemia and several very rare cases of lymphoma have been reported in the literature. A spontaneous malignant tumor in an old male hybrid guinea-pig is described. The monomorphous aspect of the tumour, the cellular cohesiveness, the "starry-sky" pattern and the immunocytological characterization of tumour cells as B lymphocytes bearing IgM, lead to describe this tumour as a probable spontaneous Burkitt-type malignant lymphoblastic lymphoma.
