RESUMEN

In cats anesthetized with Uretan and perfused with a constant blood volume, Taurine induced responses of neither arterial nor venous vessels of the skeletal muscle but increased the capillary filtration coefficient without any significant change of the capillary pressure in the skeletal muscle's microvessels. Taurine also increased both the constrictor and the dilatory responses of the arterial and venous vessels. The mechanism of the Taurine effects upon the smooth muscle elements of arteries and veins as well as upon proper mechanisms of capillary pressure control and capillary filtration coefficient, seems to be calcium-dependent.

RESUMEN

97 females at reproductive age with chronic nonspecific salpingo-oophoritis (CNSO) were examined and treated. The results of the treatment (vaginal and external impact) demonstrate positive effects of various cryotherapeutic techniques on CNSO clinical course, on hormonal and immune unbalance, functional activity of the uterine tubes, regional hemodynamics, psychoemotional status. Thus, cryotherapy is an effective adjuvant in combined therapy of CNSO.

RESUMEN

Verapamyl administered to the intestine circulation in the dose evoking no shifts in the arterial and venous resistance or in the vascular capacity, decreased 2- or 3-fold both the constrictor and dilatory responses of the arterial vessels. Against the background of Verapamyl, noradrenaline and isoproterenol did not practically change either capacity or resistance in the veins. Responses of veins to angiotensin II increased 10-fold and more, whereas they were absent after administration of atropine into the intestine circulation. Constrictor and dilatory responses of veins need to a greater extent than the arteries penetration of external calcium ions to their myocytes.

RESUMEN

Taurine induced no responses of the intestine arterial and venous vessels in cats. Following the taurine administration, a decrease of the capillary filtration coefficient occurs against the background of the capillary pressure in the intestine microvessels, and adrenergic constrictor responses of the vessels are enhanced. The latter responses reduced with verapamil infusion become again enhanced following taurine administration.

RESUMEN

The paper gives account of advantages and disadvantages of ultrasonic and conventional X-ray pelvimetries for diagnosing the contracted pelvis in obstetrics. It also describes a basically new X-ray pelvimetry by using a digital X-ray unit one of whose basic advantages is a low maternal and fetal load (one-twentieth as high as routine X-ray pelvimetry). X-ray pelvimetry with the use of the digital X-ray unit was performed in 366 pregnant and parturient women, of them 188 showed various forms of the anatomically contracted pelvis. Out of them 47% had deliveries by cesarean operation. The potentialities of this unit make it possible to predict both the biomechanism of labor and its outcome.

RESUMEN

At most, 40 pregnant females at a high risk for fetal perinatal pathology underwent clinical investigation, ultrasonic scanning of the placenta, recording of the fetal electro- and phonocardiography, the evaluation of the placental levels of lactogen and estradiol and thermoresistant alkaline phosphatase changes of the values considered who were then treated with hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) under the control of dynamic placental scintigraphy. Based on the placentographic findings, the authors distinguished from the whole of the risk-group the patients whose pattern of uteroplacental blood flow response to the treatment was beneficial and therefore the HBO treatment for fetoplacental insufficiency was advisable.

RESUMEN

Performance principles are given for a digital x-ray unit. Radiation doses are compared with a standard diagnostic x-ray unit. It is shown that a digital x-ray unit provides frontal view radiographs with 40 +/- 10 mR radiation dose which is 40 times less than that for the film.
