Due to the presence of spatial barriers, persistent bacteria, and excessive inflammation in bacteria biofilm-infected wounds, current nanoplatforms cannot effectively address these issues simultaneously during the therapeutic process. Herein, a novel biomimetic photothermal nanoplatform integrating silver and polydopamine nanoparticles (Ag/PDAs) that can damage biofilms, kill bacterial persisters, and reduce inflammation for wound treatment is presented. These findings reveal that Ag/PDAs exhibit a broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity through direct damage to the bacterial membrane structure. Additionally, Ag/PDAs demonstrate a potent photothermal conversion efficiency. When combined with near-infrared (NIR) irradiation, Ag/PDAs effectively disrupt the spatial structure of biofilms and synergistically eradicate the resident bacteria. Furthermore, Ag/PDAs show remarkable anti-inflammatory properties in counteracting bacterium-induced macrophage polarization. The in vivo results confirm that the topical application of Ag/PDAs significantly suppress Staphylococcus aureus biofilm-infected wounds in murine models, concurrently facilitating wound healing. This research provides a promising avenue for the eradication of bacterial biofilms and the treatment of biofilm-infected wounds.

Photocatalysis offers a direct, yet robust, approach to eradicate pathogenic bacteria. However, the practical implementation of photocatalytic disinfection faces a significant challenge due to low-efficiency photogenerated carrier separation and transfer. Here, we present an effective approach to improve photocatalytic disinfection performance by exploiting the pyro-phototronic effect through a synergistic combination of pyroelectric properties and photocatalytic processes. A set of comprehensive studies reveals that the temperature fluctuation-induced pyroelectric field promotes photoexcited carrier separation and transfer and thus facilitates the generation of reactive oxygen species and ultimately enhances photocatalytic disinfection performance. It is worth highlighting that the constructed film demonstrated an exceptional antibacterial efficiency exceeding 95% against pathogenic bacteria under temperature fluctuations and light irradiation. Moreover, the versatile modulation role of the pyro-phototronic effect in boosting photocatalytic disinfection was corroborated. This work paves the way for improving photocatalytic disinfection efficiency by harnessing the synergistic potential of various inherent material properties.

Polyethylene (PE) is the most productive plastic product and includes three major polymers including high-density polyethylene (HDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) variation in the PE depends on the branching of the polymer chain and its crystallinity. Tenebrio obscurus and Tenebrio molitor larvae biodegrade PE. We subsequently tested larval physiology, gut microbiome, oxidative stress, and PE degradation capability and degradation products under high-purity HDPE, LLDPE, and LDPE powders (<300 µm) diets for 21 days at 65 ± 5% humidity and 25 ± 0.5 °C. Our results demonstrated the specific PE consumption rates by T. molitor was 8.04-8.73 mg PE ∙ 100 larvae-1⋅day-1 and by T. obscurus was 7.68-9.31 for LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE, respectively. The larvae digested nearly 40% of the ingested three PE and showed similar survival rates and weight changes but their fat content decreased by 30-50% over 21-day period. All the PE-fed groups exhibited adverse effects, such as increased benzoquinone concentrations, intestinal tissue damage and elevated oxidative stress indicators, compared with bran-fed control. In the current study, the digestive tract or gut microbiome exhibited a high level of adaptability to PE exposure, altering the width of the gut microbial ecological niche and community diversity, revealing notable correlations between Tenebrio species and the physical and chemical properties (PCPs) of PE-MPs, with the gut microbiome and molecular weight change due to biodegradation. An ecotoxicological simulation by T.E.S.T. confirmed that PE degradation products were little ecotoxic to Daphnia magna and Rattus norvegicus providing important novel insights for future investigations into the environmentally-friendly approach of insect-mediated biodegradation of persistent plastics.

Macrophage inflammation and oxidative stress promote atherosclerosis progression. Naringenin is a naturally occurring flavonoid with antiatherosclerotic properties. Here, we elucidated the effects of naringenin on monocyte/macrophage endothelial infiltration and vascular inflammation. We found naringenin inhibited oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL)-induced pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1ß, IL-6, and TNF-α toward an M2 macrophage phenotype and inhibited oxLDL-induced TLR4 (Toll-like receptor 4) membrane translocation and downstream NF-κB transcriptional activity. Results from flow cytometric analysis showed that naringenin reduced monocyte/macrophage infiltration in the aorta of high-fat-diet-treated ApoE-deficient mice. The aortic cytokine levels were also inhibited in naringenin-treated mice. Further, we found that naringenin reduced lipid raft clustering and acid sphingomyelinase (ASMase) membrane gathering and inhibited the TLR4 and NADPH oxidase subunit p47phox membrane recruitment, which reduced the inflammatory response. Recombinant ASMase treatment or overexpression of ASMase abolished the naringenin function and activated macrophage and vascular inflammation. We conclude that naringenin inhibits ASMase-mediated lipid raft redox signaling to attenuate macrophage activation and vascular inflammation.

Alteration of HIF-1α expression levels under hypoxic conditions affects the sequence of its downstream target genes thereby producing different effects. In order to investigate whether the effect of hypoxic compound exercise (HE) on HIF-1α expression alters cardiac pumping function, myocardial structure, and exercise capacity, we developed a suitable model of hypoxic exercise using Drosophila, a model organism, and additionally investigated the effect of hypoxic compound exercise on nocturnal sleep and activity behavior. The results showed that hypoxic compound exercise at 6% oxygen concentration for five consecutive days, lasting 1 h per day, significantly improved the cardiac stress resistance of Drosophila. The hypoxic complex exercise promoted the whole-body HIF-1α expression in Drosophila, and improved the jumping ability, climbing ability, moving speed, and moving distance. The expression of HIF-1α in the heart was increased after hypoxic exercise, which made a closer arrangement of myofilaments, an increase in the diameter of cardiac tubules, and an increase in the pumping function of the heart. The hypoxic compound exercise improved the sleep quality of Drosophila by increasing its nocturnal sleep time, the number of deep sleeps, and decreasing its nocturnal awakenings and activities. Therefore, we conclude that hypoxic compound exercise promoted the expression of HIF-1α to enhance the exercise capacity and heart pumping function of Drosophila, and improved the quality of sleep.

INTRODUCTION: This study aimed to elucidate the bacterial profile of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) compared with nonrenal patients, guiding antibiotic selection for clinicians. METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed 13,906 inpatients from the Chang Gung Research Database who underwent sinus surgery (2004-2018). Patients were categorized into ESRD-CRS, CKD-CRS, and non-CKD-CRS based on the estimated glomerular filtration rate. Bacterial cultures from surgical samples were classified as facultative anaerobes or aerobes (e.g., Klebsiella pneumoniae [KP], Pseudomonas aeruginosa [Ps.a]), anaerobes, and fungi and ranked by prevalence. RESULTS: Data from 47 ESRD-CRS, 230 CKD-CRS, and 13,123 non-CKD-CRS patients were analyzed. In ESRD-CRS, the predominant species were KP (31.6%), Ps.a (21.1%), and Coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (CoNS, 15.8%). CKD-CRS showed Staphylococcus epidermidis (27.7%), CoNS (20.5%), and Ps.a (20.5%). Non-CKD-CRS had Staphylococcus epidermidis (29.8%), CoNS (25.0%), and Staphylococcus aureus (15.5%). For anaerobes, ESRD-CRS was dominated by Fusobacterium nucleatum (10.5%) and Peptostreptococcus micros (10.5%), whereas CKD-CRS and non-CKD-CRS showed Propionibacterium acnes as a primary strain (14.5% and 28.7%, respectively). CONCLUSION: For CRS in ESRD, antibiotics targeting KP and Fusobacterium nucleatum are recommended. In CKD-CRS, a focus on Staphylococcus epidermidis and Propionibacterium acnes is suggested. OBJECTIVE: Brown adipose tissue (BAT) development and function are essential for maintaining energy balance. However, the key factors that specifically regulate brown adipogenesis require further identification. Here, we demonstrated that the nuclear receptor subfamily 2 group F member 6 (NR2F6) played a pivotal role in brown adipogenesis and energy homeostasis. METHODS: We examined the differentiation of immortalized brown adipocytes and primary brown adipocytes when NR2F6 were deleted, and explored the mechanism through which NR2F6 regulated adipogenesis using ChIP-qPCR in vitro. Male wild type (WT) and Pdgfra-Cre-mediated deletion of Nr2f6 in preadipocytes (NR2F6-PKO) mice were fed with high fat diet (HFD) for 12 weeks, and adiposity, glucose intolerance, insulin resistance and inflammation were assessed. RESULTS: NR2F6 exhibited abundant expression in BAT, while its expression was minimal in white adipose tissue (WAT). Within BAT, NR2F6 was highly expressed in preadipocytes, experienced a transient increase in the early stage of brown adipocyte differentiation, and significantly decreased in the mature adipocytes. Depletion of NR2F6 in preadipocytes inhibited brown adipogenesis, caused hypertrophy of brown adipocytes, and impaired thermogenic function of BAT, but without affecting WAT development. NR2F6 transcriptionally regulated PPARγ expression to promote adipogenic process in brown adipocytes. Loss of NR2F6 in preadipocytes led to increased susceptibility to diet-induced metabolic disorders. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings unveiled NR2F6 as a novel key regulator of brown adipogenesis, potentially opening up new avenues for maintaining metabolic homeostasis by targeting NR2F6.

Bladder cancer ranks as the 10th most common cancer worldwide, with deteriorating prognosis as the disease advances. While immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have shown promise in clinical therapy in both operable and advanced bladder cancer, identifying patients who will respond is challenging. Anoikis, a specialized form of cell death that occurs when cells detach from the extracellular matrix, is closely linked to tumor progression. Here, we aimed to explore the anoikis-based biomarkers for bladder cancer prognosis and immunotherapeutic decisions. Through consensus clustering, we categorized patients from the TCGA-BLCA cohort into two clusters based on anoikis-related genes (ARGs). Significant differences in survival outcome, clinical features, tumor immune environment (TIME), and potential ICIs response were observed between clusters. We then formulated a four-gene signature, termed "Ascore", to encapsulate this gene expression pattern. The Ascore was found to be closely associated with survival outcome and served as an independent prognosticator in both the TCGA-BLCA cohort and the IMvigor210 cohort. It also demonstrated superior predictive capacity (AUC = 0.717) for bladder cancer immunotherapy response compared to biomarkers like TMB and PD-L1. Finally, we evaluated Ascore's independent prognostic performance as a non-invasive biomarker in our clinical cohort (Gulou-Cohort1) using circulating tumor cells detection, achieving an AUC of 0.803. Another clinical cohort (Gulou-Cohort2) consisted of 40 patients undergoing neoadjuvant anti-PD-1 treatment was also examined. Immunohistochemistry of Ascore in these patients revealed its correlation with the pathological response to bladder cancer immunotherapy (P = 0.004). Impressively, Ascore (AUC = 0.913) surpassed PD-L1 (AUC = 0.662) in forecasting immunotherapy response and indicated better net benefit. In conclusion, our study introduces Ascore as a novel, robust prognostic biomarker for bladder cancer, offering a new tool for enhancing immunotherapy decisions and contributing to the tailored treatment approaches in this field.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the current treatment status and prognostic regression of the chronic NK cell lymphoproliferative disorder (CLPD-NK). METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical features, treatment and prognosis of 18 patients with CLPD-NK who were treated at our Hospital between September 2016 and September 2022. RESULTS: Eighteen patients were included: three patients were treated with chemotherapy, five patients underwent immune-related therapy, one patient was treated with glucocorticoids alone, five patients were administered granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, blood transfusion therapy, or anti-infection therapy, followed by observation and follow-up, and four patients were observed without treatment. Fifteen patients survived, including two patients who achieved complete remission (CR) and seven patients who achieved partial remission (PR), of whom one patient progressed to Aggressive NK-cell leukemia (ANKL) and sustained remission after multiple lines of treatment; three patients were not reviewed, of which one patient was still in active disease, three patients developed hemophagocytic syndrome during treatment and eventually died, one of them had positive Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) expression. The 5-years overall survival rate was 83%. CONCLUSION: Most patients with CLPD-NK have inert progression and a good prognosis, whereas some patients have a poor prognosis after progressing to ANKL and combined with hemophagocytic syndrome. Abnormal NK cells invading the center suggest a high possibility of ANKL development, and immunosuppressants and hormones are effective treatments for this disease.

BACKGROUND: Continuous and noninvasive hemoglobin (Hb) monitoring during surgery is essential for anesthesiologists to make transfusions decisions. The aim of this study was to investigate the feasibility and accuracy of noninvasive and continuous Hb monitoring using transesophageal descending aortic photoplethysmography (dPPG) in porcine model. METHODS: Nineteen landrace pigs, aged 3 to 5 months and weighing 30 to 50 kg, were enrolled in this study. A homemade oximetry sensor, including red (660 nm) and infrared (940 nm) lights, was placed in the esophagus for dPPG signal detection to pair with the corresponding reference Hb values (Hbi-STAT) measured by blood gas analysis. The decrease and increase changes in Hb concentration were achieved by hemodilution and transfusion. Metrics, including alternating current (AC), direct current (DC), and AC/DC for both red and infrared light were extracted from the dPPG signal. A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was built to evaluate the performance of dPPG metrics in predicting the Hb "trigger threshold" of transfusion (Hb < 60 g/L and Hb > 100 g/L). Agreement and trending ability between Hb measured by dPPG (HbdPPG) and by blood gas analysis were analyzed by Bland-Altman method and polar plot graph. Error grid analysis was also performed to evaluate clinical significance of HbdPPG measurement. RESULTS: The dPPG signal was successfully detected in all of the enrolled experimental pigs, without the occurrence of a continuous loss of dPPG signal for 2 min during the entire measurement. A total of 376 pairs of dPPG signal and Hbi-STAT were acquired. ACred/DCred and ACinf/DCinf had moderate correlations with Hbi-STAT, and the correlation coefficients were 0.790 and 0.782, respectively. The areas under the ROC curve for ACred/DCred and ACinf/DCinf in predicting Hbi-STAT < 60 g/L were 0.85 and 0.75, in predicting Hbi-STAT > 100 g/L were 0.90 and 0.83, respectively. Bland-Altman analysis and polar plot showed a small bias (1.69 g/L) but a wide limit of agreement (-26.02-29.40 g/L) and a poor trend ability between HbdPPG and Hbi-STAT. Clinical significance analysis showed that 82% of the data lay within the Zone A, 18% within the Zone B, and 0% within the Zone C. CONCLUSION: It is feasible to establish a noninvasive and continuous Hb monitoring by transesophageal dPPG signal. The ACred/DCred extracted from the dPPG signal could provide a sensitive prediction of the Hb threshold for transfusion. The Hb concentration measured by dPPG signal has a moderate correlation with that measured by blood gas analysis. This animal study may provide an experimental basis for the development of bedside HbdPPG monitoring in the future.

OBJECTIVE: The efficacy of sirolimus in treating severe or refractory systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) has been confirmed by small-scale clinical trials. However, few studies focused on mild or moderate SLE. Therefore, in this study we elucidated clinical efficacy of add-on sirolimus in patients with mild or moderate SLE. METHODS: Data of 17 consecutive patients with SLE were retrospectively collected. SLE Disease Activity Index-2000 (SLEDAI-2K), clinical manifestation, laboratory data and peripheral T lymphocyte subsets with cytokines were collected before and 6 months after sirolimus add-on treatment. T cell subsets were detected by flow cytometry and cytokines were determined by multiplex bead-based flow fluorescent immunoassay simultaneously. Twenty healthy controls matched with age and sex were also included in our study. RESULTS: (1) The numbers of peripheral blood lymphocytes, T cells, T helper (Th) cells, regulatory T (Treg) cells, Th1 cells, Th2 cells and Treg/Th17 ratios in patients with SLE were significantly lower, while the numbers of Th17 cells were evidently higher than those of healthy control (p<0.05). (2) After 6 months of sirolimus add-on treatment, urinary protein, pancytopenia, immunological indicators and SLEDAI-2K in patients with SLE were distinctively improved compared with those before sirolimus treatment (p<0.05). (3) The numbers of peripheral blood lymphocytes, T cells, Th cells, Treg cells, Th2 cells and the ratios of Treg/Th17 in patients with SLE after treatment were clearly higher than those before (p<0.05). (4) The levels of plasma interleukin (IL)-5, IL-6 and IL-10 in patients with SLE decreased notably, conversely the IL-4 levels increased remarkably compared with pretreatment (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: (1) Patients with SLE presented imbalanced T cell subsets, especially the decreased ratio of Treg/Th17. (2) Sirolimus add-on treatment ameliorated clinical involvement, serological abnormalities and disease activity without adverse reactions in patients with SLE. (3) The multi-target therapy facilitates the enhanced numbers of Treg cells, Treg/Th17 imbalance and anti-inflammatory cytokines, simultaneously, reducing inflammatory cytokines.

Bone metastasis caused the majority death of prostate cancer (PCa) but the mechanism remains poorly understood. In this present study, we show that polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 12 (GALNT12) suppresses bone-specific metastasis of PCa. GALNT12 suppresses proliferation, migration, invasion and cell division ability of PCa cells by activating the BMP pathway. Mechanistic investigations showed that GALNT12 augments the O-glycosylation of BMPR1A then actives the BMP pathway. Activated BMP signaling inhibits the expression of integrin αVß3 to reduce the bone-specific seeding of PCa cells. Furthermore, activated BMP signaling remolds the immune microenvironment by suppressing the STAT3 pathway. Our results of this study illustrate the role and mechanism of GALNT12 in the process of bone metastasis of PCa and identify GALNT12 as a potential therapeutic target for metastatic PCa.

Diastolic dysfunction is a major cardiac dysfunction, and an important predisposing factor is age. Although exercise training is often used for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease nowadays, little is currently known about whether exercise interventions associated with the slowing of cardiac aging are related to mtp-related pathways. In the present study, the UAS/Tub-Gal4 system was used to knockdown whole-body mtp expression levels in Drosophila, which underwent 2 weeks of endurance training. By conducting different assays and quantifying different indicators, we sought to investigate the relationship between mtp, exercise, and age-related diastolic dysfunction. We found that (1) Drosophila in the mtpRNAi youth group exhibited age-related diastolic dysfunction and had a significantly shorter mean lifespan. (2) Endurance exercise could improve diastolic dysfunction and prolong lifespan in aged Drosophila. (3) Endurance exercise could increase the expression levels of apolpp and Acox3, and decrease the levels of TC, LDL-C, and TG in the aged group. In summary, aging causes age-associated diastolic dysfunction in Drosophila, and systemic knockdown of mtp causes premature age-associated diastolic dysfunction in young Drosophila. Besides, endurance exercise improves age-related diastolic dysfunction and prolongs lifespan.

The identification of different kinds of watercolor inks is an important work in the field of forensic science. Four different kinds of watercolor ink Spectroscopy data fusion strategies (Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy) combined with a non-linear classification model (Extreme Learning Machine) were used to identify the brand of watercolor inks. The study chose Competitive Adaptive Reweighted Sampling (CARS), Random Frog (RF), Variable Combination Population Analysis-Genetic Algorithm (VCPA-GA), and Variable Combination Population Analysis-Iteratively Retains Informative Variables (VCPA-IRIV) to extract characteristic variables for mid-level data fusion. The Cuckoo Search (CS) algorithm is used to optimize the extreme learning machine classification model. The results showed that the classification capacity of the mid-level fusion spectra model was more satisfactory than that of single Infrared spectroscopy or Raman spectroscopy. The CS-ELM models based on infrared spectroscopy used to recognize the watercolor ink according to brands (ZHENCAI, DELI, CHENGUANG, and STAEDTLER) obtained an accuracy of 66.67% in the test set using all spectral datasets. The accuracy of CS-ELM models based on Raman spectroscopy was 67.39%. The characteristic wavelength selection algorithms effectively improved the accuracy of the CS-ELM models. The classification accuracy of the mid-level spectroscopy fusion model combined with the VCPA-IRIV algorithm was 100%. The data fusion method increased effectively spectral information. The method could satisfactorily identify different brands of watercolor inks and support the preservation of artifacts, paintings, and forensic document examination.

BACKGROUND: One-stage jaw reconstruction with fibular flap and prosthetic rehabilitation restores bony and dental continuity simultaneously. It was also called as "jaw-in-a-day (JIAD)" technique. However, bone volume and height of fibular flap may be insufficient for dental implant insertion. The provision of a considerable amount of bone makes an iliac flap the ideal choice in these cases. We present the first case report to document the use of one-stage jaw reconstruction and prosthetic rehabilitation with the iliac flap. CASE PRESENTATION: We modified the conventional JIAD workflow to make it suitable for iliac flap. Two cases were presented who both underwent segmental mandibulectomy for ameloblastoma. Virtual surgical planning was performed in all cases. The iliac crest was positioned upward to provide cortical bone for achieving primary stability of dental implants. Similar to the "all-on-4" procedure, the iliac bone was placed 12 to 15 mm below the occlusal plane to create adequate space for the implant-retained prosthesis. Immediate implant-based dental rehabilitation was performed at same stage. The surgery was successful in all cases without any short-term complications. In the first postoperative week, patients were given a liquid diet through a nasal feeding tube. The liquid diet is advised until 1 month after the surgery. Thereafter, a soft diet is recommended. Patients were advised to resume routine mastication and normal diet 3 months after the surgery. Peri-implantitis occurred in one patient, and additional gingival graft was required. Postoperative function and esthetics were satisfactory at the last follow-up visit. CONCLUSIONS: One-stage jaw reconstruction and prosthetic rehabilitation with the iliac flap are safe and useful for restoring postoperative function and esthetics. It should be used in more cases with a longer follow-up in further studies.

Nanozymes hold great prospects for bacteria-infected wound management, yet the spatial control of their catalytic activity in infected area and normal tissues remains mired by the heterogeneity of tissue microenvironment. Here, we develop a novel two-dimensional ternary chalcogenide nanodots (Cu2MoS4, CMS NDs) with renal clearable ability and controlled catalytic activity for bacteria-infected wound treatment. The two-dimensional CMS NDs (∼4 nm) are prepared by a simple microwave-assisted chemical synthetic route. Our results show that CMS NDs not only have peroxidase-like activity in a pH-dependent manner (pH < 5.5). Based on the generation of hydroxyl radical (OH) by adding H2O2, CMS NDs show > 2 log bacterial inactivation for both Gram-positive methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Gram-negative Escherichia coli (E. coli) under the acidic condition. Moreover, CMS NDs show good biocompatibility and can be excreted by the kidney in mice. In vivo results display that CMS NDs show good therapeutic effect against bacteria infected wound in the presence of H2O2, but no damage for normal tissues. Taken together, this work provides a renal clearable two-dimensional nanozyme with spatially controlled catalytic activity for the treatment of wounds and bacterial infections on the skin surface.

Aging of the brain usually leads to the decline of neurological processes and is a major risk factor for various neurodegenerative diseases, including sleep disturbances and cognitive decline. Adipose tissue exosomes, as adipocyte-derived vesicles, may mediate the regulatory processes of adipose tissue on other organs, including the brain; however, the regulatory mechanisms remain unclear. We analyzed the sleep-wake behavior of young (10 days) and old (40 days) Drosophila and found that older Drosophila showed increased sleep fragmentation, which is similar to mammalian aging characteristics. To investigate the cross-tissue regulatory mechanisms of adiposity on brain aging, we extracted 10-day and 40-day Drosophila adipose tissue exosomes and identified circRNAs with age-dependent expression differences by RNA-seq and differential analysis. Furthermore, by combining data from 3 datasets of the GEO database (GSE130158, GSE24992, and GSE184559), circ_sxc that was significantly downregulated with age was finally screened out. Moreover, dme-miR-87-3p, a conserved target of circ_sxc, accumulates in the brain with age and exhibits inhibitory effects in predicted binding relationships with neuroreceptor ligand genes. In summary, the current study showed that the Drosophila brain could obtain circ_sxc by uptake of adipose tissue exosomes which crossed the blood-brain barrier. And circ_sxc suppressed brain miR-87-3p expression through sponge adsorption, which in turn regulated the expression of neurological receptor ligand proteins (5-HT1B, GABA-B-R1, Rdl, Rh7, qvr, NaCP60E) and ensured brain neuronal synaptic signaling normal function of synaptic signaling. However, with aging, this regulatory mechanism is dysregulated by the downregulation of the adipose exosome circ_sxc, which contributes to the brain exhibiting sleep disturbances and other "aging" features.

Orientation guidance has shown its cutting edges in electrodeposition modulation to promote Zn anode stability toward commercialized standards. Nevertheless, large-scale orientational deposition is handicapped by the competition between Zn-ion reduction and mass transfer. Herein, a holistic electrolyte additive protocol is put forward via incorporating bio-derived dextrin molecules into a zinc sulfate electrolyte bath. Electrochemical tests in combination with molecular dynamics simulations demonstrate the alleviation of concentration polarization throughout accelerating Zn2+ diffusion and retarding their reduction. The predominant (101) texture on inert current collectors (i.e., Cu, Ti, and stainless steel) and (101)/(002) textures on Zn foils afford homogeneous electrical field distribution, which is contributed by the work difference to form the 2D nucleus and the adsorption of dextrin molecules, respectively. Consequently, the symmetric cell harvests a longevous cycling lifespan of over 4000 h at 0.5 mA cm-2 /0.5 mAh cm-2 while the Zn@Cu electrode sustains for 240 h at a high depth of discharge of 40%.
