BACKGROUND: This study evaluated the efficacy of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) in colorectal cancer with peritoneal metastases (pmCRC) in a large international data set of patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Patients with pmCRC from 39 centres who underwent cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC between 1991 and 2018 were selected and compared for the HIPEC protocols received-oxaliplatin-HIPEC versus mitomycin-HIPEC. Following analysis of crude data, propensity-score matching (PSM) and Cox-proportional hazard modelling were performed. Outcomes of interest were overall survival (OS), recurrence-free survival (RFS) and the HIPEC dose-response effects (high versus low dose, dose intensification and double drug protocols) on OS, RFS and 90-day morbidity. Furthermore, the impact of the treatment time period was assessed. RESULTS: Of 2760 patients, 2093 patients were included. Median OS was 43 months (95% c.i. 41 to 46 months) with a median RFS of 12 months (95% c.i. 12 to 13 months). The oxaliplatin-HIPEC group had an OS of 47 months (95% c.i. 42 to 53 months) versus 39 months (95% c.i. 36 to 43 months) in the mitomycin-HIPEC group (P = 0.002), aHR 0.77, 95% c.i. 0.67 to 0.90, P < 0.001. The OS benefit persisted after PSM of the oxaliplatin-HIPEC group and mitomycin-HIPEC group (48 months (95% c.i. 42 to 59 months) versus 40 months (95% c.i. 37 to 44 months)), P < 0.001, aHR 0.78 (95% c.i. 0.65 to 0.94), P = 0.009. Similarly, matched RFS was significantly higher for oxaliplatin-HIPEC versus others (13 months (95% c.i. 12 to 15 months) versus 11 months (95% c.i. 10 to 12 months, P = 0.02)). High-dose mitomycin-HIPEC protocols had similar OS compared to oxaliplatin-HIPEC. HIPEC dose intensification within each protocol resulted in improved survival. Oxaliplatin + irinotecan-HIPEC resulted in the most improved OS (61 months (95% c.i. 51 to 101 months)). Ninety-day mortality in both crude and PSM analysis was worse for mitomycin-HIPEC. There was no change in treatment effect depending on the analysed time period. CONCLUSIONS: Oxaliplatin-based HIPEC provided better outcomes compared to mitomycin-based HIPEC. High-dose mitomycin-HIPEC was similar to oxaliplatin-HIPEC. The 90-day mortality difference favours the oxaliplatin-HIPEC group. A trend for dose-response between low- and high-dose HIPEC was reported.

BACKGROUND: Esophagectomy is associated with significant mortality. A better understanding of the causes leading to death may help to reduce mortality. A root cause analysis of mortality after esophagectomy was performed. METHODS: Root cause analysis was retrospectively applied by an independent expert panel of 4 upper gastrointestinal surgeons and 1 anesthesiologist-intensivist to patients included in the French national multicenter prospective cohort FREGAT between August 2014 and September 2019 who underwent an esophagectomy for cancer and died within 90 days of surgery. A cause-and-effect diagram was used to determine the root causes related to death. Death was classified as potentially preventable or non-preventable. RESULTS: Among the 1,040 patients included in the FREGAT cohort, 70 (6.7%) patients (male: 81%, median age 68 [62-72] years) from 17 centers were included. Death was potentially preventable in 37 patients (53%). Root causes independently associated with preventable death were inappropriate indication (odds ratio 35.16 [2.50-494.39]; P = .008), patient characteristics (odds ratio 5.15 [1.19-22.35]; P = .029), unexpected intraoperative findings (odds ratio 18.99 [1.07-335.55]; P = .045), and delay in diagnosis of a complication (odds ratio 98.10 [6.24-1,541.04]; P = .001). Delay in treatment of a complication was found only in preventable deaths (28 [76%] vs 0; P < .001). National guidelines were less frequently followed (16 [43%] vs 22 [67%]; P = .050) in preventable deaths. The only independent risk factor of preventable death was center volume <26 esophagectomies per year (odds ratio 4.71 [1.55-14.33]; P = .006). CONCLUSIONS: More than one-half of deaths after esophagectomy were potentially preventable. Better patient selection, early diagnosis, and adequate management of complications through centralization could reduce mortality.

BACKGROUND: Although several prognostic factors in GIST have been well studied such as tumour size, mitotic rate, or localization, the influence of microscopic margins or R1 resection remains controversial. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of R1 resection on the prognosis of GIST in a large multicentre retrospective series of patients. METHODS: From 2001 to 2013, 1413 patients who underwent surgery for any site of GIST were identified from 61 European centers. 1098 patients were included, excluding synchronous metastases, concurrent malignancies, R2 resection or GIST recurrence. Tumour rupture (TR) was reclassified according to the Oslo sarcoma classification. Cox proportional hazards ratio and Kaplan-Meier survival estimates were used to analyse 5-year recurrence-free survival (RFS). RESULTS: Of 1098 patients, 38 (3%) underwent R1 resection with a risk of TR of 11%. The 5-year RFS was 89.6% with a median follow-up of 81 months [range: 31.2-152 months]. On univariate analysis, lower RFS was significantly associated with R1 resection [HR = 2.13; p = 0.04], high risk score according to the modified NIH classification, administration of adjuvant therapy [HR = 2.24; p < 0.001] and intraoperative complications [HR = 2.82; p < 0.001]. Only intraoperative complications [HR = 1.79; p = 0.02] and high risk according to the modified NIH classification including the updated definition of TR [HR = 3.43; p = 0.04] remained significant on multivariate analysis. CONCLUSION: This study shows that positive microscopic margins are not an independent predictive factor for RFS in GIST when taking into account the up-dated classification of TR. R1 resection may be considered a reasonable alternative to avoid major functional sequelae and should not lead to reoperation.

BACKGROUND: Ovarian pseudomyxoma peritonei (OPMP) are rare, without well-defined therapeutic guidelines. We aimed to evaluate cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) to treat OPMP. METHODS: Patients from the French National Network for Rare Peritoneal Tumors (RENAPE) database with proven OPMP treated by CRS/HIPEC and with histologically normal appendix and digestive endoscopy were retrospectively included. Clinical and follow-up data were collected. Histopathological and immunohistochemical features were reviewed. RESULTS: Fifteen patients with a median age of 56 years were included. The median Peritoneal Cancer Index was 16. Following CRS, the completeness of cytoreduction (CC) score was CC-0 for 9/15 (60%) patients, CC-1 for 5/15 (33.3%) patients, and CC-2 for 1/15 (6.7%) patients. The median tumor size was 22.5 cm. After pathological review and immunohistochemical studies, tumors were classified as Group 1 (mucinous ovarian epithelial neoplasms) in 3/15 (20%) patients; Group 2 (mucinous neoplasm in ovarian teratoma) in 4/15 (26.7%) patients; Group 3 (mucinous neoplasm probably arising in ovarian teratoma) in 5/15 (33.3%) patients; and Group 4 (non-specific group) in 3/15 (20%) patients. Peritoneal lesions were OPMP pM1a/acellular, pM1b/grade 1 (hypocellular) and pM1b/grade 3 (signet-ring cells) in 13/15 (86.7%), 1/15 (6.7%) and 1/15 (6.7%) patients, respectively. Disease-free survival analysis showed a difference (p = 0.0463) between OPMP with teratoma/likely-teratoma origin (groups 2 and 3; 100% at 1, 5, and 10 years), and other groups (groups 1 and 4; 100%, 66.6%, and 50% at 1, 5, and 10 years, respectively). CONCLUSION: These results suggested that a primary therapeutic strategy using complete CRS/HIPEC for patients with OPMP led to favorable long-term outcomes.

About 500,000 patients with rare adult solid cancers (RASC) are diagnosed yearly in Europe. Delays and unequal quality of management impact negatively their survival. Since 2017, European reference networks (ERN) aim to improve the quality of care of patients with rare disease. The steering committee of EURACAN, including physicians, researchers and patients review here the previous actions, present objectives of the ERN EURACAN dedicated to RASC. EURACAN promoted management in reference centres, and equal implementation of excellence and innovation in Europe and developed 22 clinical practice guidelines (CPGs). Additionally, fourteen information brochures translated in 24 EU languages were developed in collaboration with patient advocacy groups (ePAGs) and seventeen training session were organized. Nevertheless, connections to national networks in the 26 participating countries (106 centres), simplification of cross-border healthcare, international multidisciplinary tumour boards, registries and monitoring of the quality of care are still required. In this Health Policy, evaluation criteria of the performances of the network and of health care providers are proposed.

BACKGROUND: Selection of colorectal cancer patients with concomitant peritoneal (PM) and liver metastases (LM) for radical treatment with cytoreductive surgery (CRS), including liver resection and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), needs improvement. This retrospective, monocentric study was designed to evaluate the predictive factors for early recurrence, disease-free survival (DFS), and overall survival (OS) in such patients treated in a referral center. METHODS: Consecutive colorectal cancer patients with concomitant LM and PM treated with curative intent with perioperative systemic chemotherapy, simultaneous complete CRS, liver resection, and HIPEC in 2011-2022 were included. Clinical, radiological (before and after preoperative chemotherapy), surgical, and pathological data were investigated, along with long-term oncologic outcomes. A multivariate analysis was performed to identify predictive factors associated with early recurrence (diagnosed <6 months after surgery), DFS, and OS. RESULTS: Of more than 61 patients included, 31 (47.1%) had pT4 and 27 (40.9%) had pN2 primary tumors. Before preoperative chemotherapy, the median number of LM was 2 (1-4). The median surgical PCI (peritoneal carcinomatosis index) was 3 (5-8.5). The median DFS and OS were 8.15 (95% confidence interval [CI] 5.5-10.1) and 34.1 months (95% CI 28.1-53.5), respectively. In multivariate analysis, pT4 (odds ratio [OR] = 4.14 [1.2-16.78], p = 0.032]) and pN2 (OR = 3.7 [1.08-13.86], p = 0.042) status were independently associated with an early recurrence, whereas retroperitoneal lymph node metastasis (hazard ratio [HR] = 39 [8.67-175.44], p < 0.001) was independently associated with poor OS. CONCLUSIONS: In colorectal cancer patients with concomitant PM and LM, an advanced primary tumor (pT4 and/or pN2) was associated with a higher risk of early recurrence following a radical multimodal treatment, whereas RLN metastases was strongly detrimental for OS.

BACKGROUND: Cytoreductive surgery with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is an effective treatment for peritoneal metastases. However, HIPEC with cisplatin is associated with renal toxicity. Sodium thiosulfate (ST) has been shown to prevent cisplatin-induced toxicity. METHODS: A retrospective, single-center analysis of patients treated curatively for peritoneal surface malignancy, who underwent cytoreductive surgery with cisplatin-based HIPEC between 2015 and 2020. Patients were categorized into three groups based on the management of cisplatin-induced renal toxicity: preoperative hyperhydration alone (PHH), preoperative hyperhydration with ST (PHH + ST), and ST alone. Renal function and complications, in terms of Acute (AKI) and chronic kidney injury (CKI), were monitored and analyzed during 3 postoperative months. RESULTS: This study included 220 consecutive patients. Mean serum creatinine levels were 95, 57 and 61 mmol/L, for PHH, PHH + ST and ST groups, respectively (p < 0.001). Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) were 96, 94 and 78 ml/min/1.73 m2, respectively (p < 0.001). AKI and CKI are respectively for PHH, PHH + ST and ST groups were 21 % (n = 46), 1 % (n = 2) and 0 % vs 19 % (n = 42), 0 % and 0 % (p < 0.001), for pairwise analysis did not show any difference between PHH + ST and ST alone combination, regarding nephrological outcomes. All patients were followed 3 months postoperatively. CONCLUSION: There is no need for preoperative hyperhydration when sodium-thiosulfate is used to prevent cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity in patients undergoing cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC. These findings have implications for improving and simplifying the management of patients with peritoneal metastases undergoing HIPEC with cisplatin.

OBJECTIVES: Low grade serous ovarian carcinoma (LGSOC) accounts for 2.5% of all ovarian carcinoma more affects younger women than high grade serous ovarian carcinoma. Hysterectomy is performed routinely for LGSOC treatment, but fertility sparring surgery (FSS) is feasible for some early stages. Currently, there is no study about uterine involvement in LGSOC. We evaluate uterine involvement in LGSOC patients and aim to identify pre-operative predictive factors. METHODS: Retrospective observational study of LGSOC patients treated between January 2000 and May 2022 in the Hospices Civils de Lyon. All cases were viewed, reviewed or approved by an expert pathologist. RESULTS: Among 535 serous ovarian carcinomas, 26 were included. Most patients (73 %) had FIGO III disease. Median OS was 115 months and median PFS was 42 months. Uterine involvement was found in 58 % patients who underwent hysterectomy (14/24), serosal involvement was the most frequent type of involvement (n = 13, 54 %). Myometrial involvement was found in 8 patients (33 %) and was associated with serosal involvement (7/8). Among patients with a macroscopic disease-free uterus during exploratory laparoscopy, 31 % had a microscopic serosal involvement. None patient with presumed early stage (FIGO I) were upstaged due to uterine involvement (serosal or myometrial). In patients with stage FIGO IIII, 72 % of uterine involvement were found. Univariate analysis did not show any predictive factor of myometrial involvement. There was no difference on OS nor PFS between patients with or without myometrial involvement. CONCLUSIONS: In early stages LGSOC, FSS may be considered for selected patients. In advanced stages, hysterectomy should be performed routinely, since no predictive factor for uterine involvement were identified.

BACKGROUND: Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) associated with CC0 excision is performed using either an open (OPEN_HIPEC) or closed abdominal technique (CLOSED_HIPEC). However, little data is available on the costs of this treatment, as there is no code for HIPEC in the French Classification of Medical Acts. Oncological outcomes and the mean cost of hospitalization were compared. METHODS: Between 2017 and 2021, 144 patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis (all etiologies) were included (OPEN_HIPEC, n = 70; CLOSED_HIPEC, n = 74) in this retrospective two-center study. Morbi-mortality, overall survival (OS), recurrence-free-survival (RFS) and mean cost of hospitalization were compared. RESULTS: The median OS and RFS were 71.3 months [63-71.5] and 26.8 months [20-35.3] respectively, and were similar for both techniques; and after stratification by histology. Multivariate analysis adjusted on PCI score of OS identified mitomycin as a protective factor (HR = 0.31 [0.10-0.90], p = 0.032) and ASA score>2 (HR = 2.32 [1.32- 4.06], p = 0.003) and number of resection (HR = 1.21 [1.06-1.39], p = 0.006) as a risk factors of RFS. Complication rates at day 30 were similar between OPEN and CLOSED_HIPEC, 31 (44.3 %) vs 42 (56.8 %); p = 0.135. OPEN_HIPEC had more severe complications (11 (35.5 %) vs 6 (14.3 %); p = 0.034). The mean cost of hospitalization was estimated as €15,627 for OPEN_HIPEC and €14,211 for CLOSED_HIPEC for a mean length-of-stay of 12.7 and 16.7 days respectively. The mean amount received by the hospital per hospitalization was estimated at €16,399 and €15,536 respectively. CONCLUSIONS: OS and RFS were similar for open and closed HIPEC. Severe complications at day 30 were more frequent in OPEN_HIPEC group. The amount received by hospital for both HIPEC techniques is sufficient.

BACKGROUND: Selected patients with peritoneal metastases of colorectal cancer (PM-CRC) can benefit from potentially curative cytoreductive surgery (CRS) ± hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), with a median overall survival (OS) of more than 40 months. OBJECTIVE: The aims of this evidence-based consensus were to define the indications for HIPEC, to select the preferred HIPEC regimens, and to define research priorities regarding the use of HIPEC for PM-CRC. METHODS: The consensus steering committee elaborated and formulated pertinent clinical questions according to the PICO (patient, intervention, comparator, outcome) method and assessed the evidence according to the Grading of Recommendation, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) framework. Standardized evidence tables were presented to an international expert panel to reach a consensus (4-point, weak and strong positive/negative) on HIPEC regimens and research priorities through a two-round Delphi process. The consensus was defined as ≥ 50% agreement for the 4-point consensus grading or ≥ 70% for either of the two combinations. RESULTS: Evidence was weak or very weak for 9/10 clinical questions. In total, 70/90 eligible panelists replied to both Delphi rounds (78%), with a consensus for 10/10 questions on HIPEC regimens. There was strong negative consensus concerning the short duration, high-dose oxaliplatin (OX) protocol (55.7%), and a weak positive vote (53.8-64.3%) in favor of mitomycin-C (MMC)-based HIPEC (preferred choice: Dutch protocol: 35 mg/m2, 90 min, three fractions), both for primary cytoreduction and recurrence. Determining the role of HIPEC after CRS was considered the most important research question, regarded as essential by 85.7% of the panelists. Furthermore, over 90% of experts suggest performing HIPEC after primary and secondary CRS for recurrence > 1 year after the index surgery. CONCLUSIONS: Based on the available evidence, despite the negative results of PRODIGE 7, HIPEC could be conditionally recommended to patients with PM-CRC after CRS. While more preclinical and clinical data are eagerly awaited to harmonize the procedure further, the MMC-based Dutch protocol remains the preferred regimen after primary and secondary CRS.

Objectives: To monitor the results of PIPAC directed therapy based on data from the International Society for the Study of the Pleura and Peritoneum (ISSPP) PIPAC database. Methods: Analysis of data from patients entered between June 15th, 2020, and February 28th, 2023. Results: Twelve centers reported 2,456 PIPAC procedures in 809 patients (median 2, range 1-18) with peritoneal metastasis (PM) from different primary tumors. Approximately 90 % had systemic chemotherapy prior to PIPAC. Twenty-eight percent were treated in prospective protocols. Overall non-access rate was 3.5 %. Concomitant surgical procedures were performed during PIPAC in 1.6 % of the patients. Median length of stay was 2 days. A total of 95 surgical complications were recorded, but only 22 % of these were graded ≥3b. Seventeen-hundred-and-three adverse events were noted, and 8 % were classified ≥3. The rate of complete or major histological response (peritoneal regression grade score, PRGS≤2) increased between the first and the third PIPAC in the group of patients who were evaluated by PRGS, and a PRGS ≤2 or a reduction of the mean PRGS of at least 1 between first and third PIPAC were observed in 80 %. Disease progression (50 %) or technical issues (19 %) were the most important reasons for stopping PIPAC treatment. Median overall survival from first PIPAC directed treatment varied from 10.7 months (CI 8.7-12.5) in gastric cancer to 27.1 months (16.4-50.5) in mesothelioma. Conclusions: The ISSPP PIPAC database provides substantial real-world data supporting the use of PIPAC directed therapy in patients with PM from different primary tumors.

OBJECTIVE: Negative-pressure wound therapy for open abdomen (NPWTOA) helps reduce the risk of abdominal compartment syndrome. However, the risk of recurrence of cancer is unclear when NPWTOA is applied after oncologic resection. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of NPWTOA used for major complications on patients treated with cytoreductive surgery for peritoneal malignancy (PM). METHODS: All patients who underwent an NPWTOA after potentially curative surgery of PM in a single institution were included. These patients were pair matched 1:3 on the Peritoneal Cancer Index, completeness of cytoreduction using a scoring index, and PM origin with patients who underwent surgical reintervention without NPWTOA after curative surgery of PM. Survival among the two groups was compared using the Kaplan-Meier method. RESULTS: Between 2011 and 2017, among 719 curative surgeries for PM, 13 patients underwent an NPWTOA after surgical reintervention. Researchers paired 9 of these patients to 27 others without NPWTOA after surgical reintervention. Median overall survival was 4.8 and 35 months (P = .391), and median disease-free survival was 4.0 and 13.9 months (P = .022) for the NPWTOA and non-NPWTOA groups, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: The use of the NPWTOA during surgical reintervention after curative surgery for PM may increase the risk of early recurrence.

Introduction: Ovarian cancer (OC) is the primary cause of mortality in women diagnosed with gynecological cancer. Our study assessed pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy (PIPAC) as treatment for peritoneal surface metastases (PSM) from recurrent or progressive OC and conducted survival analyses to identify prognostic factors. Material and methods: This retrospective cohort study, conducted across 18 international centers, analyzed the clinical practices of patients receiving palliative treatment for PSM from OC who underwent PIPAC. All patients were initially treated appropriately outside any clinical trial setting. Feasibility, safety, and morbidity were evaluated along with objective endpoints of oncological response. Multivariate analysis identified prognostic factors for OS and PFS. Results: From 2015-2020, 234 consecutive patients were studied, from which 192 patients were included and stratified by platinum sensitivity for analysis. Patients with early recurrence, within one postoperative month, were excluded. Baseline characteristics were similar between the groups regarding platinum sensitivity (platinum sensitive (PS) and resistant (PR)), but chemotherapy frequency differed, as did PCI before PIPAC. Median PCI decreased in both groups after three cycles of PIPAC (PS 16 vs. 12, p < 0.001; PR 24 vs. 20, p = 0.009). Overall morbidity was 22%, with few severe complications (4-8%) or mortality (0-3%). Higher pathological response and longer OS (22 vs. 11m, p = 0.012) and PFS (12 vs. 7m, p = 0.033) were observed in the PS group. Multivariate analysis (OS/PFS) identified ascites (HR 4.02, p < 0.001/5.22, p < 0.001), positive cytology at first PIPAC (HR 3.91, p = 0.002/1.96, p = 0.035), and ≥ 3 PIPACs (HR 0.30, p = 0.002/0.48, p = 0.017) as independent prognostic factors of overall survival/progression-free survival. Conclusions: With low morbidity and mortality rates, PIPAC is a safe option for palliative treatment of advanced ovarian cancer. Promising results were observed after 3 PIPAC, which did improve the peritoneal burden. However, further research is needed to evaluate the potential role of PIPAC as an independent prognostic factor.

The peritoneal surface malignancy (PSM) is an advanced disease, the prognosis of which has been radically improved since the development of cytoreductive surgery (CRS) with or without hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). These procedures are associated with many complications. However, very few data are available regarding the psychiatric morbidities that might occur. The present study assessed the epidemiology of depressive mood and anxiety during the 6 months following the procedure. The analysis of a prospective cohort that included patients who underwent CRS with or without HIPEC between December 2016 and December 2019 was performed. A total of 115 patients were included. During the 6-months follow-up, the mean (SD) Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale -D (HADS-D) score was 7.8 (48) and a significant increase compared with the pre-operative period (t(49) = - 4.36, p < 0.005) was found. Thirty-seven patients (32%) had a HADS-D score higher than 7. The incidence of a HADS-D score higher than 7 during the follow-up was 0.05 patient per patient-month. Anxiety and the overall mental disorders intensity scores also increased. The results showed an important increase of mental disorders and their intensity during the 6-months following a CRS with or without HIPEC.

BACKGROUND AND AIM: We report the results of an international consensus on hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) regimens for epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) performed with the following goals: To define the indications for HIPEC To identify the most suitable HIPEC regimens for each indication in EOC To identify areas of future research on HIPEC To provide recommendations for some aspects of perioperative care for HIPEC METHODS: The Delphi technique was used with two rounds of voting. There were three categories of questions: evidence-based recommendations [using the Grades of Recommendation, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) system with the patient, intervention, comparator, and outcome (PICO) method], an opinion survey, and research recommendations. RESULTS: Seventy-three (67.5%) of 108 invited experts responded in round I, and 68 (62.9%) in round II. Consensus was achieved for 34/38 (94.7%) questions. However, a strong positive consensus that would lead to inclusion in routine care was reached for only 6/38 (15.7%) questions. HIPEC in addition to interval cytoreductive surgery (CRS) received a strong positive recommendation that merits inclusion in routine care. Single-agent cisplatin was the only drug recommended for routine care, and OVHIPEC-1 was the most preferred regimen. The panel recommended performing HIPEC for a minimum of 60 min with a recommended minimum intraabdominal temperature of 41°C. Nephroprotection with sodium thiosulfate should be used for cisplatin HIPEC. CONCLUSIONS: The results of this consensus should guide clinical decisions on indications of HIPEC and the choice and various parameters of HIPEC regimens and could fill current knowledge gaps. These outcomes should be the basis for designing future clinical trials on HIPEC in EOC.
