RESUMEN

The aim of the study was to evaluate reproductive health of descendants of people who experienced effects of adverse environmental factors, such as radiation and chemical contamination (the descendants themselves were unaffected by these factors). Reproductive health of women was assessed by mathematical modeling. Factors of greatest importance for the health status of the descendants were distinguished among the 76 ones studied. It was shown that reproductive health of the subjects descending from the people exposed to radiation deteriorated more significantly than of those whose ancestors were affected by chemical factors.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to assess frequency of association between hepatic steatosis and pancreatic steatosis in obese children and find out common chains of pathogenesis. METHODS: This study was conducted among 100 children aged 12-17 years, consisted 2 groups: 60 overweight children (BMI from 30,1 to 42,87-1st group) and 40 children with normal BMI (2nd group). Diagnosis of the hepatic steatosis and pancreatic steatosis was based on sonographic findings. Were investigated peculiarities of carbohydrates and lipid metabolism and pancreatic exocrine function. RESULTS: Sonographic findings compatible with pancreatic steatosis in obese children were found with frequency- 70%, whereas sonographic findings compatible with hepatic steatosis were found with frequency- 46.6%. These findings were associated with BMI, parameters of metabolic syndrome: waist circumference, insulinresistancy, disturbances of the carbohydrates and lipid metabolism. Was found decreasing level of the elastase-1 in children with obesity. CONCLUSION: In 70% obese children was found pancreatic steatosis. The presence of fatty pancreas represents a meaningful manifestation of metabolic syndrome together with obesity and hepatic steatosis.

RESUMEN

The estimation of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and newborn state of the offspring in the second generation (study group), the progenitors of which were in the area of radiation exposure. The study group included data on 112 women. In the control group were assigned 53 women who themselves, their parents and grandparents were not exposed to ionizing radiation. Extragenital pathology is characterized by the predominance of the main group of diseases of the circulatory system, urinary system, blood and blood-forming organs, diseases of the endocrine system. Among gynecological diseases prevailed chronic inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs. The high rate of complications during pregnancy, premature birth, subcompensated form of placental insufficiency in patients of the main group.

RESUMEN

There are the results of a comprehensive clinical examination of 112 women of childbearing age who are second generation descendants of those who were in the area of radiation exposure over 25 ED cSv. Incidence and factors leading to chronic inflammation of pelvic organs were studied. Immune status was evaluated by studying of subpopulation of immune cells in peripheral blood and levels of basic inflammatory cytokines. High incidence of the pelvic organs inflammatory diseases in women second-generation offspring due to disturbances in the complex chain of immunocompetent system was defined.

RESUMEN

Forty patients with myoma uteri of varying sites were treated by the new little invasive method - embolization of the uterine arteries. All the patients were admitted to the clinic with the symptoms of the high menstrual blood loss or functional disorders of the pelvic organs. Embolization of the uterine arteries made it possible to achieve good clinical results marked by minimization or removal of the clinical manifestations of myoma uteri.

RESUMEN

Adolescents with mental disorder (residual organic conditions, psychopathy, schizophrenia, oligophrenia) were examined for hypophyseal thyroid and hypophyseal gonadal hormones in blood serum. The basic group included 98 subjects, the control one 25 mentally healthy subjects. Blood serum hormones were detected by RIA with the aid of kits of reagents manufactured in the USSR, France and Germany. The data obtained point to the presence of the latent hypothyroid condition in patients with psychopathy and schizophrenia, and in part of patients with associated residual organic brain injuries and manifest mental disorders. Comparative assessment of the content of tropic hormones of the pituitary and sex hormones in blood serum with regard to the puberty type has demonstrated that during the pubertal crisis, the study clinico-nosological groups manifested the predominance of disordered types of puberty: dysharmonious (34%), retarded (31%), and accelerated (6%). The hormonal characteristics and clinico-biochemical correlations confirm the role of hormonal disorders in the formation of psychopathological disturbances in adolescents experiencing the pubertal crisis.

RESUMEN

The paper is concerned with disorders of psychosexual maturity in adolescents (n-70). For that purpose in view a comparative nosological study of the early residual organic psychopathlike conditions (46 cases) and of organic psychopathies (24 cases) formed during the pubertal crisis was done at a forensic psychiatry hospital. According to the data obtained in the majority of the test subjects, there occurred asynchronisms of puberty (80%). Unlike group II (organic psychopathy) where disharmonic puberty was predominant, retarded puberty was recorded most frequently in group I. The main variants of psychosexual maturity were distinguished within the framework of the forms indicated: 2 variants in retardation and 6 variants in disharmonic puberty. Disharmonic puberty, then retarded puberty and pubertas precox were found to be dangerous for the onset of sexual disorders (perversions, deviations). Expert criteria for assessing the depth of sexual disorders were specified in addition. The new data obtained are of importance of both general and forensic psychiatry.

RESUMEN

The article deals with acute affective reactions developing in adolescents with chronic psychogenias. Three variants of this pathology (acute depressive, depressive-paranoid, and paranoid reactions) are defined. Clinical characteristics and the mechanisms of the formation of personality psychogenias are described. Criteria of the differential diagnosis of acute affective reactions are presented.

RESUMEN

A comparative study of the syndrome of fantasy-making was carred out in 65 juvenile delinquents (psychopathy, early organic lesions of the brain, schizophrenia). The authors elucidated nosologically nonspecific signs of pathological fantasy-making (persistent inclination, superworship content of fantasies, readiness to transformation, incorrigible behaviour, etc.), peculiarities of the clinical picture and the time-course of the syndrome in each of the groups. A close correlation was found between the content of fantasies and the nature of antisocial behaviour of adolescents.

RESUMEN

As a result of comparing the clinical course in 230 cases with psychopathlike schizophrenia, followed up on an average for 10 years, with 600 cases of psychopathies which are formed in adolescents, basic clinical characteristics, differentiating the first group from the second were detected and described. Age-associated time-course of morbid disorders in psychopathlike schizophrenia with an early onset, depending upon age crisis and phases of pubertal period was demonstrated. With the aid of special programmes, designed to solve the question of classification by a computer, a combination of factors comprising an optimal diagnostic complex for psychopathlike schizophrenia in adolescence was demonstrated.

RESUMEN

An appliance of the principle of dynamics in relation to studies of psychopathy (164 cases) permitted to detect the periods of mosaicity in their formation and subsequent development. The authors describe some polymorphic phenomena in the clinical picture during the first period (complexity of the pathocharacterological structure, neurotic signs, the traits of the affective pathology, etc.). It was also possible to speak of some aging limits in the period of mosaicity and to demonstrate dependence of the clinical content on the genetical or clinical type of psychopathy. The report contains some differential diagnostical criteria or psychopathy of this age stage with psychopath-like conditions of a schizophrenic or organic genesis. Some main recommendations are given for a forensic-psychiatric evaluation of the described states.
