RESUMEN

PURPOSE: Whether molecular glioblastomas (GBMs) identify with a similar dismal prognosis as a "classical" histological GBM is controversial. This study aimed to compare the clinical, molecular, imaging, surgical factors, and prognosis between molecular GBMs and histological GBMs. METHODS: Retrospective chart and imaging review was performed in 983 IDH-wildtype GBM patients (52 molecular GBMs and 931 histological GBMs) from a single institution between 2005 and 2023. Propensity score-matched analysis was additionally performed to adjust for differences in baseline variables between molecular GBMs and histological GBMs. RESULTS: Molecular GBM patients were substantially younger (58.1 vs. 62.4, P = 0.014) with higher rate of TERTp mutation (84.6% vs. 50.3%, P < 0.001) compared with histological GBM patients. Imaging showed higher incidence of gliomatosis cerebri pattern (32.7% vs. 9.2%, P < 0.001) in molecular GBM compared with histological GBM, which resulted in lesser extent of resection (P < 0.001) in these patients. The survival was significantly better in molecular GBM compared to histological GBM (median OS 30.2 vs. 18.4 months, P = 0.001). The superior outcome was confirmed in propensity score analyses by matching histological GBM to molecular GBM (P < 0.001). CONCLUSION: There are distinct clinical, molecular, and imaging differences between molecular GBMs and histological GBMs. Our results suggest that molecular GBMs have a more favorable prognosis than histological GBMs.

PURPOSE: To investigate prognostic markers for H3 K27-altered diffuse midline gliomas (DMGs) in adults with clinical, qualitative and quantitative imaging phenotypes, including tumor oxygenation characteristics. METHODS: Retrospective chart and imaging reviews were conducted on 32 adults with H3 K27-altered DMGs between 2017 and 2023. Clinical and qualitative imaging characteristics were analyzed. Quantitative imaging assessment was performed from the tumor mask via automatic segmentation to calculate normalized cerebral blood volume (nCBV), capillary transit time heterogeneity (CTH), oxygen extraction fraction (OEF), relative cerebral metabolic rate of oxygen (rCMRO2), and mean ADC values. Leptomeningeal metastases (LM) was diagnosed with imaging. Cox analyses were conducted to determine predictors of overall survival (OS) in entire patients and a subgroup of patients with contrast-enhancing (CE) tumor. RESULTS: The median patient age was 40.5 years (range 19.9-75.7), with an OS of 30.3 months (interquartile range 11.3-32.3). In entire patients, the presence of LM was the only independent predictor of OS (hazard ratio [HR] = 6.01, P = 0.009). In the subgroup of 23 (71.9%) patients with CE tumors, rCMRO2 of CE tumor (HR = 1.08, P = 0.019) and the presence of LM (HR = 5.92, P = 0.043) were independent predictors of OS. CONCLUSION: The presence of LM was independently associated with poor prognosis in adult patients with H3 K27-altered DMG. In patients with CE tumors, higher rCMRO2 of CE tumor, which may reflect higher metabolic activity in the tumor oxygenation microenvironment, may be a useful imaging biomarker to predict poor prognosis.

PURPOSE: To investigate whether qualitative and quantitative imaging phenotypes can predict the grade of oligodendroglioma. METHODS: Retrospective chart and imaging reviews were conducted on 180 adults with oligodendroglioma (IDH-mutant and 1p/19q codeleted) between 2005 and 2021. Qualitative imaging characteristics including tumor location, calcification, gliomatosis cerebri, cystic change, necrosis, and infiltrative pattern were analyzed. Quantitative imaging assessment was performed from the tumor mask via automatic segmentation to calculate total, contrast-enhancing (CE), non-enhancing (NE), and necrotic tumor volumes. Logistic analyses were conducted to determine predictors of oligodendroglioma grade. RESULTS: This study included 180 patients (84 [46.7%] with grade 2 and 96 [53.3%] with grade 3 oligodendrogliomas), with a median age of 42 years (range 23-76 years), comprising 91 females and 89 males. On univariable analysis, calcification (odds ratio [OR] = 6.00, P < 0.001), necrosis (OR = 21.84, P = 0.003), presence of CE tumor (OR = 7.86, P < 0.001), larger total (OR = 1.01, P < 0.001), larger CE (OR = 2.22, P = 0.010), and larger NE (OR = 1.01, P < 0.001) tumor volumes were predictors of grade 3 oligodendroglioma. On multivariable analysis, calcification (OR = 3.79, P < 0.001) and larger CE tumor volume (OR = 2.70, P = 0.043) remained as independent predictors of grade 3 oligodendroglioma. The multivariable model exhibited an AUC, accuracy, sensitivity, specificity of 0.78 (95% confidence interval 0.72-0.84), 72.8%, 79.2%, 69.1%, respectively. CONCLUSION: Presence of calcification and larger CE tumor volume may serve as useful imaging biomarkers for prediction of oligodendroglioma grade. CLINICAL RELEVANCE STATEMENT: Assessment of intratumoral calcification and CE tumor volume may facilitate accurate preoperative estimation of oligodendroglioma grade. Presence of intratumoral calcification and larger contrast-enhancing tumor volume were the significant predictors of higher grade oligodendroglioma based on the 2021 WHO classification.

PURPOSE: To explore the abnormality score trends of artificial intelligence-based computer-aided diagnosis (AI-CAD) in the serial mammography of patients until a final diagnosis of breast cancer. METHOD: From 2015 to 2019, 126 breast cancer patients who had at least two previous mammograms obtained from 2008 up to cancer diagnosis were included. AI-CAD was retrospectively applied to 487 previous mammograms and all the abnormality scores calculated by AI-CAD were obtained. The contralateral breast of each affected breast was defined as the control group. We divided all mammograms by 6-month intervals from cancer diagnosis in reverse chronological order. The random coefficient model was used to estimate whether the chronological trend of AI-CAD abnormality scores differed between cancer and normal breasts. Subgroup analyses were performed according to mammographic visibility, invasiveness and molecular subtype of the invasive cancer. RESULTS: Mean period from initial examination to cancer diagnosis was 6.0 years (range 1.7-10.7 years). The abnormality scores of breasts diagnosed with cancer showed a significantly increasing trend during the previous examination period (slope 0.6 per 6 months, p for the slope < 0.001), while the contralateral normal breast showed no trend (slope 0.03, p = 0.776). The difference in slope between the cancerous and contralateral breasts was significant (p < 0.001). For mammography-visible cancers, the abnormality scores in cancerous breasts showed a significant increasing trend (slope 0.8, p < 0.001), while for mammography-occult cancers, the trend was not significant (slope 0.1, p = 0.6). For invasive cancers, the slope of the abnormality scores showed a significant increasing trend (slope 1.4, p = 0.002), unlike ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) which showed no significant trend. There was no significant difference in the slope of abnormality scores among the subtypes of invasive cancers (p = 0.418). CONCLUSION: Breasts diagnosed with cancer showed an increase in AI-CAD abnormality scores in previous serial mammograms, suggesting that AI-CAD could be useful for early detection of breast cancer.

PURPOSE: To propose a novel recursive partitioning analysis (RPA) classification model in patients with IDH-wildtype glioblastomas that incorporates the recently expanded conception of the extent of resection (EOR) in terms of both supramaximal and total resections. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN: This multicenter cohort study included a developmental cohort of 622 patients with IDH-wildtype glioblastomas from a single institution (Severance Hospital) and validation cohorts of 536 patients from three institutions (Seoul National University Hospital, Asan Medical Center, and Heidelberg University Hospital). All patients completed standard treatment including concurrent chemoradiotherapy and underwent testing to determine their IDH mutation and MGMTp methylation status. EORs were categorized into either supramaximal, total, or non-total resections. A novel RPA model was then developed and compared to a previous RTOG RPA model. RESULTS: In the developmental cohort, the RPA model included age, MGMTp methylation status, KPS, and EOR. Younger patients with MGMTp methylation and supramaximal resections showed a more favorable prognosis (class I: median overall survival [OS] 57.3 months), while low-performing patients with non-total resections and without MGMTp methylation showed the worst prognosis (class IV: median OS 14.3 months). The prognostic significance of the RPA was subsequently confirmed in the validation cohorts, which revealed a greater separation between prognostic classes for all cohorts compared to the previous RTOG RPA model. CONCLUSIONS: The proposed RPA model highlights the impact of supramaximal versus total resections and incorporates clinical and molecular factors into survival stratification. The RPA model may improve the accuracy of assessing prognostic groups.

This study aimed to develop a new simple and effective prognostic model using artificial intelligence (AI)-based chest radiograph (CXR) results to predict the outcomes of pneumonia. Patients aged > 18 years, admitted the treatment of pneumonia between March 2020 and August 2021 were included. We developed prognostic models, including an AI-based consolidation score in addition to the conventional CURB-65 (confusion, urea, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and age ≥ 65) and pneumonia severity index (PSI) for predicting pneumonia outcomes, defined as 30-day mortality during admission. A total of 489 patients, including 310 and 179 patients in training and test sets, were included. In the training set, the AI-based consolidation score on CXR was a significant variable for predicting the outcome (hazard ratio 1.016, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.001-1.031). The model that combined CURB-65, initial O2 requirement, intubation, and the AI-based consolidation score showed a significantly high C-index of 0.692 (95% CI 0.628-0.757) compared to other models. In the test set, this model also demonstrated a significantly high C-index of 0.726 (95% CI 0.644-0.809) compared to the conventional CURB-65 and PSI (p < 0.001 and 0.017, respectively). Therefore, a new prognostic model incorporating AI-based CXR results along with traditional pneumonia severity score could be a simple and useful tool for predicting pneumonia outcomes in clinical practice.

The purposes were to assess the efficacy of AI-generated radiology reports in terms of report summary, patient-friendliness, and recommendations and to evaluate the consistent performance of report quality and accuracy, contributing to the advancement of radiology workflow. Total 685 spine MRI reports were retrieved from our hospital database. AI-generated radiology reports were generated in three formats: (1) summary reports, (2) patient-friendly reports, and (3) recommendations. The occurrence of artificial hallucinations was evaluated in the AI-generated reports. Two radiologists conducted qualitative and quantitative assessments considering the original report as a standard reference. Two non-physician raters assessed their understanding of the content of original and patient-friendly reports using a 5-point Likert scale. The scoring of the AI-generated radiology reports were overall high average scores across all three formats. The average comprehension score for the original report was 2.71 ± 0.73, while the score for the patient-friendly reports significantly increased to 4.69 ± 0.48 (p < 0.001). There were 1.12% artificial hallucinations and 7.40% potentially harmful translations. In conclusion, the potential benefits of using generative AI assistants to generate these reports include improved report quality, greater efficiency in radiology workflow for producing summaries, patient-centered reports, and recommendations, and a move toward patient-centered radiology.

BACKGROUND: The incidence of leptomeningeal metastases (LM) has been reported diversely. This study aimed to investigate the incidence, risk factors, and prognosis of LM in patients with IDH-wildtype glioblastoma. METHODS: A total of 828 patients with IDH-wildtype glioblastoma were enrolled between 2005 and 2022. Baseline preoperative MRI including post-contrast fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) was used for LM diagnosis. Qualitative and quantitative features, including distance between tumor and subventricular zone (SVZ) and tumor volume by automatic segmentation of the lateral ventricles and tumor, were assessed. Logistic analysis of LM development was performed using clinical, molecular, and imaging data. Survival analysis was performed. RESULTS: The incidence of LM was 11.4%. MGMTp unmethylation (odds ratio [OR] = 1.92, P = 0.014), shorter distance between tumor and SVZ (OR = 0.94, P = 0.010), and larger contrast-enhancing tumor volume (OR = 1.02, P < 0.001) were significantly associated with LM. The overall survival (OS) was significantly shorter in patients with LM than in those without (log-rank test; P < 0.001), with median OS of 12.2 and 18.5 months, respectively. Presence of LM remained an independent prognostic factor for OS in IDH-wildtype glioblastoma (hazard ratio = 1.42, P = 0.011), along with other clinical, molecular, imaging, and surgical prognostic factors. CONCLUSION: The incidence of LM is high in patients with IDH-wildtype glioblastoma, and aggressive molecular and imaging factors are correlated with LM development. The prognostic significance of LM based on post-contrast FLAIR imaging suggests acknowledgement of post-contrast FLAIR as a reliable diagnostic tool for clinicians.

OBJECTIVE: In Korea, radiology has been positioned towards the early adoption of artificial intelligence-based software as medical devices (AI-SaMDs); however, little is known about the current usage, implementation, and future needs of AI-SaMDs. We surveyed the current trends and expectations for AI-SaMDs among members of the Korean Society of Radiology (KSR). MATERIALS AND METHODS: An anonymous and voluntary online survey was open to all KSR members between April 17 and May 15, 2023. The survey was focused on the experiences of using AI-SaMDs, patterns of usage, levels of satisfaction, and expectations regarding the use of AI-SaMDs, including the roles of the industry, government, and KSR regarding the clinical use of AI-SaMDs. RESULTS: Among the 370 respondents (response rate: 7.7% [370/4792]; 340 board-certified radiologists; 210 from academic institutions), 60.3% (223/370) had experience using AI-SaMDs. The two most common use-case of AI-SaMDs among the respondents were lesion detection (82.1%, 183/223), lesion diagnosis/classification (55.2%, 123/223), with the target imaging modalities being plain radiography (62.3%, 139/223), CT (42.6%, 95/223), mammography (29.1%, 65/223), and MRI (28.7%, 64/223). Most users were satisfied with AI-SaMDs (67.6% [115/170, for improvement of patient management] to 85.1% [189/222, for performance]). Regarding the expansion of clinical applications, most respondents expressed a preference for AI-SaMDs to assist in detection/diagnosis (77.0%, 285/370) and to perform automated measurement/quantification (63.5%, 235/370). Most respondents indicated that future development of AI-SaMDs should focus on improving practice efficiency (81.9%, 303/370) and quality (71.4%, 264/370). Overall, 91.9% of the respondents (340/370) agreed that there is a need for education or guidelines driven by the KSR regarding the use of AI-SaMDs. CONCLUSION: The penetration rate of AI-SaMDs in clinical practice and the corresponding satisfaction levels were high among members of the KSR. Most AI-SaMDs have been used for lesion detection, diagnosis, and classification. Most respondents requested KSR-driven education or guidelines on the use of AI-SaMDs.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy and safety of low-contrast-dose, dual-source dual-energy CT before transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in patients with compromised renal function. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 54 consecutive patients (female:male, 26:38; 81.9 ± 7.3 years) with reduced renal function underwent pre-TAVR dual-energy CT with a 30-mL contrast agent between June 2022 and March 2023. Monochromatic (40- and 50-keV) and conventional (120-kVp) images were reconstructed and analyzed. The subjective quality score, vascular attenuation, contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) were compared among the imaging techniques using the Friedman test and post-hoc analysis. Interobserver reliability for aortic annular measurement was assessed using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Bland-Altman analysis. The procedural outcomes and incidence of post-contrast acute kidney injury (AKI) were assessed. RESULTS: Monochromatic images achieved diagnostic quality in all patients. The 50-keV images achieved superior vascular attenuation and CNR (P < 0.001 in all) while maintaining a similar SNR compared to conventional CT. For aortic annular measurement, the 50-keV images showed higher interobserver reliability compared to conventional CT: ICC, 0.98 vs. 0.90 for area and 0.97 vs. 0.95 for perimeter; 95% limits of agreement width, 0.63 cm² vs. 0.92 cm² for area and 5.78 mm vs. 8.50 mm for perimeter. The size of the implanted device matched CT-measured values in all patients, achieving a procedural success rate of 92.6%. No patient experienced a serum creatinine increase of ≥ 1.5 times baseline in the 48-72 hours following CT. However, one patient had a procedural delay due to gradual renal function deterioration. CONCLUSION: Low-contrast-dose imaging with 50-keV reconstruction enables precise pre-TAVR evaluation with improved image quality and minimal risk of post-contrast AKI. This approach may be an effective and safe option for pre-TAVR evaluation in patients with compromised renal function.

Background: Impaired glymphatic flow on the Alzheimer's disease (AD) spectrum may be evaluated using diffusion tensor image analysis along the perivascular space (DTI-ALPS). Objective: We aimed to validate impaired glymphatic flow and explore its association with gray matter volume, cognitive status, and cerebral amyloid deposition on the AD spectrum. Methods: 80 participants (mean age, 76.9±8.5 years; 57 women) with AD (n = 65) and cognitively normal (CN) (n = 15) who underwent 3T brain MRI including DTI and/or amyloid PET were included. After adjusting for age, sex, apolipoprotein E status, and burden of white matter hyperintensities, the ALPS-index was compared according to the AD spectrum. The association between the ALPS-index and gray matter volume, cognitive status, and quantitative amyloid from PET was assessed. Results: The ALPS-index in the AD was significantly lower (mean, 1.476; 95% CI, 1.395-1.556) than in the CN (1.784;1.615-1.952; p = 0.026). Volumes of the entorhinal cortex, hippocampus, temporal pole, and primary motor cortex showed significant associations with the ALPS-index (all, p < 0.05). There was a positive correlation between the ALPS-index and MMSE score (partial r = 0.435; p < 0.001), but there was no significant correlation between the ALPS-index and amyloid SUVRs (all, p > 0.05). Conclusions: Decreased glymphatic flow measured by DTI-ALPS in AD may serve as a marker of neurodegeneration correlating with structural atrophy and cognitive decline.

PURPOSE: Lower-grade gliomas of histologic grades 2 and 3 follow heterogenous clinical outcomes, which necessitates risk stratification. This study aimed to evaluate whether diffusion-weighted and perfusion-weighted MRI radiomics allow overall survival (OS) prediction in patients with lower-grade gliomas and investigate its prognostic value. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this retrospective study, radiomic features were extracted from apparent diffusion coefficient, relative cerebral blood volume map, and Ktrans map in patients with pathologically confirmed lower-grade gliomas (January 2012-February 2019). The radiomics risk score (RRS) calculated from selected features constituted a radiomics model. Multivariable Cox regression analysis, including clinical features and RRS, was performed. The models' integrated area under the receiver operating characteristic curves (iAUCs) were compared. The radiomics model combined with clinical features was presented as a nomogram. RESULTS: The study included 129 patients (median age, 44 years; interquartile range, 37-57 years; 63 female): 90 patients for training set and 39 patients for test set. The RRS was an independent risk factor for OS with a hazard ratio of 6.01. The combined clinical and radiomics model achieved superior performance for OS prediction compared to the clinical model in both training (iAUC, 0.82 vs. 0.72, p=0.002) and test sets (0.88 vs. 0.76, p=0.04). The radiomics nomogram combined with clinical features exhibited good agreement between the actual and predicted OS with C-index of 0.83 and 0.87 in the training and test sets, respectively. CONCLUSION: Adding diffusion- and perfusion-weighted MRI radiomics to clinical features improved survival prediction in lower-grade glioma.

Scoliosis is a three-dimensional spinal deformity, and paraspinal muscles play an important role as stabilizers of the spinal curve. In this prospective study, we compared elasticity changes in the paraspinal muscles of adolescent patients with scoliosis after surgery or bracing. Elasticity was measured on the concave and convex sides of the paraspinal muscles at the apex of the curve at the beginning of treatment and 6 and 12 months after treatment. Twenty-six patients with correction surgery (n = 15) or bracing (n = 11) were included. At initial evaluation, the Cobb angle was larger in the surgery group (72.3 ± 20.2° in surgery vs. 30.6 ± 5.1° in brace, p < 0.001). The estimated mean elasticity value of the paraspinal muscles was lower in the surgery group at baseline on the convex side (15.8 vs. 22.8 kPa, p = 0.037) and 6 months on both the concave (12.1 vs. 22.7 kPa, p = 0.004) and convex (13.4 vs. 23.8 kPa, p = 0.005) sides. There was a significant stiffness decrease from baseline to 6 months on the concave side in the surgery group (5.9 kPa, p = 0.025). However, the elasticity change recovered at 12 months without significant differences between the two groups.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVES: To assess whether a deep learning-based system (DLS) with black-blood imaging for brain metastasis (BM) improves the diagnostic workflow in a multi-center setting. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this retrospective study, a DLS was developed in 101 patients and validated on 264 consecutive patients (with lung cancer) having newly developed BM from two tertiary university hospitals, which performed black-blood imaging between January 2020 and April 2021. Four neuroradiologists independently evaluated BM either with segmented masks and BM counts provided (with DLS) or not provided (without DLS) on a clinical trial imaging management system (CTIMS). To assess reading reproducibility, BM count agreement between the readers and the reference standard were calculated using limits of agreement (LoA). Readers' workload was assessed with reading time, which was automatically measured on CTIMS, and were compared between with and without DLS using linear mixed models considering the imaging center. RESULTS: In the validation cohort, the detection sensitivity and positive predictive value of the DLS were 90.2% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 88.1-92.2) and 88.2% (95% CI: 85.7-90.4), respectively. The difference between the readers and the reference counts was larger without DLS (LoA: -0.281, 95% CI: -2.888, 2.325) than with DLS (LoA: -0.163, 95% CI: -2.692, 2.367). The reading time was reduced from mean 66.9 s (interquartile range: 43.2-90.6) to 57.3 s (interquartile range: 33.6-81.0) (P <.001) in the with DLS group, regardless of the imaging center. CONCLUSION: Deep learning-based BM detection and counting with black-blood imaging improved reproducibility and reduced reading time, on multi-center validation.

PURPOSE: To assess the added value of radiomics models from preoperative chest CT in predicting the presence of spread through air spaces (STAS) in the early stage of surgically resected lung adenocarcinomas using multiple validation datasets. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This retrospective study included 550 early-stage surgically resected lung adenocarcinomas in 521 patients, classified into training, test, internal validation, and temporal validation sets (n=211, 90, 91, and 158, respectively). Radiomics features were extracted from the segmented tumors on preoperative chest CT, and a radiomics score (Rad-score) was calculated to predict the presence of STAS. Diagnostic performance of the conventional model and the combined model, based on a combination of conventional and radiomics features, for the diagnosis of the presence of STAS were compared using the area under the curve (AUC) of the receiver operating characteristic curve. RESULTS: Rad-score was significantly higher in the STAS-positive group compared to the STAS-negative group in the training, test, internal, and temporal validation sets. The performance of the combined model was significantly higher than that of the conventional model in the training set {AUC: 0.784 [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.722-0.846] vs. AUC: 0.815 (95% CI: 0.759-0.872), p=0.042}. In the temporal validation set, the combined model showed a significantly higher AUC than that of the conventional model (p=0.001). The combined model showed a higher AUC than the conventional model in the test and internal validation sets, albeit with no statistical significance. CONCLUSION: A quantitative CT radiomics model can assist in the non-invasive prediction of the presence of STAS in the early stage of lung adenocarcinomas.

Purpose To investigate the feasibility and interscan variability of short-time cardiac MRI protocol after chemotherapy in individuals with breast cancer. Materials and Methods A total of 13 healthy female controls (mean age, 52.4 years ± 13.2 [SD]) and 85 female participants with breast cancer (mean age, 51.8 years ± 9.9) undergoing chemotherapy prospectively underwent routine breast MRI and short-time cardiac MRI using a 3-T scanner with peripheral pulse gating in the prone position. Interscan, intercoil, and interobserver reproducibility and variability of native T1 and extracellular volume (ECV), as well as ventricular functional parameters, were measured using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), standard error of measurement (SEM), or coefficient of variation (CoV). Results Left ventricular functional parameters had excellent interscan reproducibility (ICC ≥ 0.80). Left ventricular ejection fraction showed low interscan variability in control and chemotherapy participants (SEM, 2.0 and 1.2; CoV, 3.1 and 1.9, respectively). Native T1 showed excellent interscan (ICC, 0.75) and intercoil (ICC, 0.81) reproducibility in the control group and good interscan reproducibility (ICC, 0.72 and 0.73, respectively) in the participants undergoing immediate and remote chemotherapy. Interscan reproducibility for ECV was excellent in the control group and in the remote chemotherapy group (ICC, 0.93 and 0.88, respectively) and fair in the immediate chemotherapy group (ICC, 0.52). In the regional analysis, interscan repeatability and variability of native T1 and ECV were superior in the anteroseptum or inferoseptum than in other segments in the immediate chemotherapy group. Native T1 and ECV had good to excellent interobserver agreement across all groups. Conclusion Short-time cardiac MRI showed excellent results for interscan, intercoil, and interobserver reproducibility and variability for ventricular functional or tissue characterization parameters, suggesting that this modality is feasible for routine surveillance of cardiotoxicity evaluation in individuals with breast cancer.
