Contribution to the knowledge of Chinese Phasmatodea X: Eight new species of Cnipsomorpha from China (Phasmatidae: Clitumninae: Medaurini).

Eight new species of Cnipsomorpha Hennemann, Conle, Zhang Liu, 2008 are described from China. They are namely, Cnipsomorpha inflexa sp. nov., Cnipsomorpha jinpingensis sp. nov., Cnipsomorpha nigromaculata sp. nov., Cnipsomorpha nigrospina sp. nov., Cnipsomorpha polyspina sp. nov., Cnipsomorpha serratitibia sp. nov., Cnipsomorpha trituberculata sp. nov. and Cnipsomorpha viridis sp. nov. A key to the species and list of the species of Cnipsomorpha are provided.

Contribution to the knowledge of Chinese Phasmatodea V: New taxa and new nomenclatures of the subfamilies Necrosciinae (Diapheromeridae) and Lonchodinae (Phasmatidae) from the Phasmatodea of China.

This study provides descriptions of one new genus, 24 new species and four new subspecies from the Necrosciinae and Lonchodinae of China. They are, Dianphasma sparsigranulatum sp. nov., D. yui sp. nov., Micadina songxiaobini sp. nov., Necroscia dianica sp. nov., Neohirasea fenshuilingensis sp. nov., N. hujiayaoi hujiayaoi sp. nov. subsp. nov., N. h. shengtangshanensis subsp. nov., N. nanlingensis sp. nov., N. pengzhongi sp. nov., N. unispina unispina sp. nov. subsp. nov., N. unispina parvula subsp. nov., N. wangpengi sp. nov., Oxyartes jinpingensis sp. nov., O. rubris sp. nov., Planososibia brevialata sp. nov., P. liui sp. nov., Pseudososibia cristata gen. nov. sp. nov., P. undulatomarginata sp. nov., Sipyloidea tuberculata sp. nov., Carausius bicornis sp. nov., C. huanglianshanensis sp. nov., C. luchunensis sp. nov., C. novus sp. nov., C. yingjiangensis sp. nov., C. yunnanensis sp. nov. and Pericentrus biwenxuani sp. nov.; suggests seven new combinations for Neohirasea asper (Redtenbacher, 1908) comb. nov. from Paramenexenus Redtenbacher, 1908, Planososibia qiongensis (Ho, 2013) comb. nov. from Sosibia Stål, 1875, Pseudososibia brachyptera (Chen He, 2004) comb. nov. from Sosibia with the first description of the female, Phraortes albopictus (Chen He, 2008) comb. nov. from Dixippus Stål, 1875, Lonchodes gracicercatus (Chen He, 2008) comb. nov. from Dixippus, Lonchodes guangdongensis (Chen He, 2008) comb. nov. from Dixippus and Lonchodes paucigranulatus (Chen Xu, 2008) comb. nov. from Dixippus; records Pericentrus Redtenbacher, 1908 for the first time in China. Key to the species and list of the species of the studied genera including Dianphasma Chen He, 1997, Micadina Redtenbacher, 1908, Necroscia Audinet-Serville, 1838, Neohirasea Rehn, 1904, Oxyartes Stål, 1875, Planososibia Seow-Choen, 2016, Pseudososibia gen. nov., Sipyloidea Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893 and Carausius Stål, 1875 are provided.

Contribution to the knowledge of Chinese Phasmatodea IV: Taxonomy on Medaurini (Phasmatodea: Phasmatidae: Clitumninae) of China.

This paper deals with the taxonomy of Chinese Medaurini with descriptions of two new genera, 14 new species and two new subspecies, proposal of two new combinations and report of two new records for China. A total of seven genera and 42 species are recognised in the tribe. Ten new species and two new subspecies from four recognised genera including Cnipsomorpha Hennemann, Conle, Zhang Liu, 2008, Interphasma Chen He, 2008, Medauroidea Zompro, 2000 and Parapachymorpha Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893 are described. They are Cnipsomorpha bii sp. nov., C. daliensis sp. nov., C. maoershanensis sp. nov., C. wenxuani sp. nov., Interphasma elongatum elongatum sp. nov. subsp. nov., I. elongatum parvum subsp. nov., I. huanglianshanense sp. nov., Medauroidea chenshuchuni sp. nov., Parapachymorpha dentata sp. nov., P. jinpingensis sp. nov. and P. sinica sp. nov. Two new genera, Neointerphasma gen. nov. and Neosinophasma gen. nov., are established. The former only includes Neointerphasma minutigranulatum sp. nov. The latter includes four species, N. biangulatum (Chen Zhang, 2008) comb. nov. [transferred from Cnipsomorpha], N. tangliangi sp. nov., N. wenxuani sp. nov. and N. yunnanense sp. nov. A new combination is also suggested for Medauroidea nyalamensis (Chen, Shang Pei, 2000) comb. nov. transferred from Ramulus Saussure, 1862. Parapachymorpha spiniger (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1907) and Medauromorpha foedata (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1907) are new records for China. Taxonomic keys are given to Cnipsomorpha, Interphasma, Medauroidea, Medauromorpha, Neosinophasma gen. nov. and Parapachymorpha.

Contribution to the knowledge of Chinese Phasmatodea III: Catalogue of the phasmids of Hainan Island, China, with descriptions of one new genus, one new species and two new subspecies and proposals of three new combinations.

A catalogue of the phasmids of Hainan Island, China is provided. This study presents 25 genera and 59 species. A new genus, Pseudoparamenexenus gen. nov., is erected for Paramenexenus yangi Chen & He, 2002 including the first descriptions of male and egg. One new species with two new subspecies, Marmessoidea hainanensis hainanensis sp. nov. & subsp. nov. and M. h. yinggelingensis subsp. nov., are described. Three combinations are suggested for Pseudoparamenexenus yangi (Chen & He, 2002) comb. nov. from Paramenexenus Redtenbacher, 1908; Asceles bidentatus (Chen & He, 2008) comb. nov. and Scionecra pseudocerca (Chen & He, 2008) comb. nov. from Aruanoidea Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893 (= Necroscia Audinet-Serville, 1838). Asceles diadema Redtenbacher, 1908, is reported for the first time from China. Three species are first recorded in Hainan including Necroscia multicolor (Redtenbacher, 1908), Necroscia shukayi (Bi, Zhang & Lau, 2001) and Sipyloidea biplagiata Redtenbacher, 1908.

Brockphasma spinifemoralis gen. et spec. nov.: a new phasmid genus and new species of Neohiraseini (Phasmida: Necrosciinae) from Vietnam.

A new genus of stick insects, Brockphasma Ho gen. nov., with the type-species, Brockphasma spinifemoralis Ho, Liu, Bresseel & Constant spec. nov., is described and illustrated from Vietnam. Both sexes, the egg and the first instar nymph are described and figured. Data on the habitat and natural foodplants are provided. Brockphasma Ho gen. nov. is differentiated from other genera in Neohiraseini by spinose occiput, anterior region of mesonotum with a spinose hump and spinose anterodorsal and posterodorsal carinae of femora. A key to the genera of Neohiraseini from Vietnam is given.
