RESUMEN

Sturgeon, with 4 times higher lipid content than silver carp (ubiquitously applied for surimi production in China), affects surimi gelling properties. However, how the flesh lipids affect gelling properties remains unclear. This study investigated how flesh lipids impact surimi gelling properties and elucidated the interaction mechanism between lipids and proteins. Results revealed yellow meat contains 7 times higher lipids than white meat. Stronger ionic protein-protein interactions were replaced by weaker hydrophobic forces and hydrogen bonds in protein-lipid interaction. Protein-lipid interaction zones encapsulated lipid particles, changing protein structure from α-helix to ß-sheet structure thereby gel structure becomes flexible and disordered, significantly diminishing surimi gel strength. Docking analysis validated fatty acid mainly binding at Ala577, Ile461, Arg231, Phe165, His665, and His663 of myosin. This study first reported the weakened surimi gelling properties from the perspective of free fatty acids and myosin interactions, offering a theoretical basis for sturgeon surimi production.

INTRODUCTION: An increasing number of early-stage lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) are detected as lung nodules. The radiological features related to LUAD progression remain further investigation. Exploration is required to bridge the gap between radiomics features and molecular characteristics of lung nodules. METHODS: Consensus clustering was applied to the radiomics features of 1,212 patients to establish stable clustering. Clusters were illustrated using clinicopathological and next-generation sequencing (NGS). A classifier was constructed to further investigate the molecular characteristic in patients with paired CT and RNA-seq data. RESULTS: Patients were clustered into 4 clusters. Cluster 1 was associated with a low consolidation-to-tumor ratio (CTR), pre-invasion, grade I disease and good prognosis. Clusters 2 and 3 showed increasing malignancy with higher CTR, higher pathological grade and poor prognosis. Cluster 2 possessed more spread through air spaces (STAS) and cluster 3 showed higher proportion of pleural invasion. Cluster 4 had similar clinicopathological features with cluster 1 except higher proportion of grade II disease. RNA-seq indicated that cluster 1 represented nodules with indolent growth and good differentiation, whereas cluster 4 showed progression in cell development but still had low proliferative activity. Nodules with high proliferation were classified into clusters 2 and 3. Additionally, the radiomics classifier distinguished cluster 2 as nodules harboring an activated immune environment, while cluster 3 represented nodules with a suppressive immune environment. Furthermore, gene signatures associated with the prognosis of early-stage LUAD were validated in external datasets. CONCLUSION: Radiomics features can manifest molecular events driving progression of lung adenocarcinoma. Our study provides a molecular insight into radiomics features and assists in the diagnosis and treatment of early stage LUAD.

BACKGROUND: The association between the number of food kinds and the risk of depression in adults was examined. METHODS: According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 4593 adults were included in the study. The number of food kinds was collected via 24‒hour dietary recalls. Depression was assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire‒9. Logistic regression and restricted cubic spline models were applied to assess the association between the number of food kinds and the risk of depression. RESULTS: This study included 4593 study participants, 451 of whom were diagnosed with depression. The revised advantage ratios (with corresponding confidence intervals) for the prevalence of depression among individuals in the fourth quartiles of the number of food kinds (Q4) in comparison to the lowest quartile (Q1) were determined to be 0.59 (0.36‒0.96), respectively. According to our subgroup analyses, the number of food kinds was negatively associated with the risk of depression in females, participants aged 18‒45 and 45‒65 years, and participants with a body mass index (BMI) of 25 to 24.9 kg/m2. According to our dose‒response analysis, the number of food kinds was linearly associated with the risk of depression (Pfor nonlinear=0.5896). CONCLUSION: The risk of depression exhibited a linear and negative correlation with the number of food kinds. The results indicated that a diversified diet was an effective nonpharmacological approach that deserved further generalization.

Our previous studies have highlighted the potential of silver carp hydrolysate (SCH) in managing chronic diseases. Unfortunately, its fishy smell and bitter taste limited consumer acceptance. Prebiotic oligosaccharides are often used as dietary supplements, ignoring their role as carbonyl ligands in the Maillard reaction to enhance food's sensory and antioxidant properties. This study aimed to improve SCH's sensory attributes and investigate its physicochemical properties and antioxidant activities using prebiotic oligosaccharides via the Maillard reaction. The results showed that xylo-oligosaccharide (XOS) had the highest reactivity among the oligosaccharides tested, and it greatly enhanced the taste and flavor of SCH, as well as its antioxidant activities (0.45 to 16.5 times). Specifically, XOS effectively reduced the fishy smell and bitter taste, imparting a caramel-like flavor and overall acceptability to SCH. The improved flavor profile was attributed to the increased presence of sulfur-containing and nitrogen oxide volatile flavor compounds, such as benzothiazole, methional, and furans, which also contributed to antioxidant effects. Sensory evaluation results indicated that SCH obtained from papain exhibited a stronger bitter taste than that obtained from alcalase. Additionally, XOS imparted a reddish-brown color to SCH due to the higher browning intensity. This study is the first to demonstrate that XOS in the Maillard reaction can effectively improve the undesirable flavor and taste of SCH while enhancing its antioxidant activities, providing a theoretical basis for developing SCH as a market-acceptable functional food ingredient.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of oxidation on fish gelatin and its emulsifying properties. Fish gelatin was oxidized with varying concentrations of H2O2 (0-30 mM). Increased concentrations of the oxidant led to a decrease in amino acids in the gelatin, including glycine, lysine, and arginine. Additionally, the relative content of ordered secondary structure and triple helix fractions decreased. Zeta potential decreased, while particle size, surface hydrophobicity, and water contact angle increased. Regarding emulsifying behavior, oxidation promoted the adsorption of gelatin to the oil-water interface and reduced interfacial tension. With increased degrees of oxidation, the zeta potential and size of the emulsion droplets decreased. The oxidized gelatin exhibited better emulsifying activity but worse emulsifying stability. Based on these results, a mechanism for how oxidation affects the emulsifying properties of gelatin was proposed: the increase in gelatin's hydrophobicity and the decrease in triple helix structure induced by oxidation reduced the interfacial tension at the oil-water interface. This promoted protein adsorption at the oil-water interface, allowing the formation of smaller oil droplets and enhancing gelatin's emulsifying activity. However, the decrease in electrostatic repulsion between emulsion droplets and the decrease in solution viscosity increased the flocculation and aggregation of oil droplets, ultimately weakening the emulsifying stability of gelatin.

Bisphenol A (BPA), a prominent endocrine-disrupting compound, has garnered considerable attention due to its urgent need for rapid removal from water. Herein, we first used a novel reactive phosphine oxide containing tertiary amines as crosslinker to prepare water-insoluble crosslinked ß-cyclodextrin (ß-CD) adsorbent via radical-mediated thiol-ene polymerization. Owing to the synergistic hydrogen-bond (H-bond) interactions of functional groups (tertiary amine and PO groups) toward BPA, the resulted adsorbents showed fast adsorption kinetics to BPA with an adsorption equilibrium time of 5 min. After six adsorption-desorption cycles, the removal efficiency of BPA was 92.5 %, indicating its excellent reusability. Due to the presence of the CS bonds, the ß-CD -derived bio-adsorbents offered binding sites for Cu2+ ions, resulting in a maximum adsorption capacity of 113.89 mg g-1.

BACKGROUND: Perivascular spaces (PVS) visible on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are significant markers associated with various neurological diseases. Although quantitative analysis of PVS may enhance sensitivity and improve consistency across studies, the field lacks a universally validated method for analyzing images from multi-center studies. METHODS: We annotated PVS on multi-center 3D T1-weighted (T1w) images acquired using scanners from three major vendors (Siemens, General Electric, and Philips). A neural network, mcPVS-Net (multi-center PVS segmentation network), was trained using data from 40 subjects and then tested in a separate cohort of 15 subjects. We assessed segmentation accuracy against ground truth masks tailored for each scanner vendor. Additionally, we evaluated the agreement between segmented PVS volumes and visual scores for each scanner. We also explored correlations between PVS volumes and various clinical factors such as age, hypertension, and white matter hyperintensities (WMH) in a larger sample of 1020 subjects. Furthermore, mcPVS-Net was applied to a new dataset comprising both T1w and T2-weighted (T2w) images from a United Imaging scanner to investigate if PVS volumes could discriminate between subjects with differing visual scores. We also compared the mcPVS-Net with a previously published method that segments PVS from T1 images. RESULTS: In the test dataset, mcPVS-Net achieved a mean DICE coefficient of 0.80, with an average Precision of 0.81 and Recall of 0.79, indicating good specificity and sensitivity. The segmented PVS volumes were significantly associated with visual scores in both the basal ganglia (r = 0.541, p < 0.001) and white matter regions (r = 0.706, p < 0.001), and PVS volumes were significantly different among subjects with varying visual scores. Segmentation performance was consistent across different scanner vendors. PVS volumes exhibited significant associations with age, hypertension, and WMH. In the United Imaging scanner dataset, PVS volumes showed good associations with PVS visual scores evaluated on either T1w or T2w images. Compared to a previously published method, mcPVS-Net showed a higher accuracy and improved PVS segmentation in the basal ganglia region. CONCLUSION: The mcPVS-Net demonstrated good accuracy for segmenting PVS from 3D T1w images. It may serve as a useful tool for future PVS research.

Leaf size is a crucial agronomic trait directly affecting crop yield, which is mainly determined by coordinated cell proliferation, growth, and differentiation. Although endoreduplication is known to be correlated with the onset of cell differentiation and leaf size, the underlying molecular mechanisms are largely unclear. The DnaJ-like zinc finger domain-containing protein ORANGE (OR) was initially demonstrated to confer the massive accumulation of carotenoids in cauliflower curds. However, the cauliflower or mutant also possesses other phenotypes such as smaller curds, smaller leaves with elongated petioles, and delayed flowering. Here, we demonstrated that OR physically interacts with the transcription factor TCP7, which promotes endoreduplication by inducing the expression of the cell cycle gene CYCLIN D 1;1 (CYCD1;1). Overexpression of OR resulted in smaller rosette leaves, whereas the OR-silencing plants had larger rosette leaves than wild-type plants. Our microscopic observations and flow cytometry analysis revealed that the variation in leaf size was a result of different endoreduplication levels. Genetic analyses showed that OR functions antagonistically with TCP7 in regulating the endoreduplication levels in leaf cells. While the expression of OR is induced by TCP7, OR represses the transactivation activity of TCP7 by affecting its binding capability to the TCP-binding motif in the promoter region of CYCD1;1. Through this interaction, OR negatively regulates the expression of CYCD1;1 and reduces the nuclear ploidy level in rosette leaf cells. Our findings provide new insights into the regulatory network of leaf size and also reveal a regulatory circuit controlling endoreduplication in leaf cells.

As the core of a hypersonic propulsion system, the effective mixing efficiency of fuel and air in a supersonic combustor is crucial for its performance. This study focuses on a cold supersonic flow and employs computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques combined with Euler-Lagrange method's discrete-phase model (DPM) for multiphase flows, K-H and R-T (Kelvin-Helmholtz and Rayleigh-Taylor) mixing and atomization models, turbulence models, and surface evaporation models to investigate the injection, atomization, and mixing characteristics of kerosene in supersonic airflow. In order to enhance the mixing efficiency between kerosene and air while reducing flow losses, this study examines a staggered dual-jet injection scheme, with the dual jets arranged at the center of the cavity and having a dual-jet spacing of 10 and 20 mm, respectively. Starting from the interaction mechanism between jets, the impact of different staggered dual-jet spacings on the kerosene jet penetration height, span expansion area, angle of the shock wave, and Sauter mean diameter distribution was analyzed. The results show that a short dual-jet spacing (10 mm) leads to greater penetration height, wider span expansion, and a larger angle of the shock wave. When the dual-jet spacing is shorter, the interaction between the fuel jet and the cavity shear layer is stronger, resulting in an improved fuel mixing efficiency. The achievements of this study are consistent with previous experimental measurements and the literature, demonstrating a strong theoretical foundation for optimizing the design of hypersonic engines by deepening the understanding of the fundamental atomization mechanisms of kerosene jets in cold-state supersonic flows. Moreover, these results hold practical significance in improving the efficiency of kerosene combustion and enhancing the performance of flame stabilization devices.

In order to investigate the effects of multi-frequency ultrasound-assisted immersion freezing (MUIF) on the meat quality of Macrobrachium rosenbergii, tail meat was subjected to different MUIF treatments respectively, namely 20 + 40 kHz (MUIF-20 + 40), 20 + 60 kHz (MUIF-20 + 60), 40 + 60 kHz (MUIF-40 + 60) and 20 + 40 + 60 kHz (MUIF-20 + 40 + 60), and the immersion freezing (IF) as control. Results showed that average diameter of ice crystals was 28 µm in IF, and that was only 8 µm in MUIF-20 + 40 + 60. When compared to IF, MUIF alleviated oxidative deterioration of lipids and proteins, but only at higher ultrasound frequency (MUIF-40 + 60; MUIF-20 + 40 + 60). Carbonyl content of MUIF-20 + 40 + 60 was only 40% of that in IF. Similarly, protein denaturation was inhibited in MUIF (except for MUIF-20 + 40). Transmission electron microscopy showed greater distortion of the ultrastructural components in IF, MUIF-40 + 60, and MUIF-20 + 40 + 60, suggested by bended Z-line. In conclusion, MUIF can be an effective strategy to mitigate mechanical damage and protein deterioration in the meat of Macrobrachium rosenbergii.

The effect of NaCl content on the protein structures, water status and thermal properties of grass carp flesh, along with its relationship with energy required for freezing was investigated to improve the quality of frozen flesh and to reduce energy consumption for freezing. Adding salt prompted the shifting of the secondary structure of α-helix to ß-sheet, ß-turn and random coil. The interaction between water molecules and hydrophilic groups in the unfolded protein structure increased nonfreezing water content, which decreased specific heat capacity, thermal conductivity of sample during freezing. The lowest energy required (235.69 kJ/kg) for freezing was found in 7% NaCl salted sample, indicating a 38.39% reduction compared to the unsalted sample. Few pores between muscle fibers were observed in the 3% and 5% NaCl salted sample. Therefore, an optimal salt concentration improved quality of frozen flesh and reduced the energy required for freezing, promoting energy-efficient freezing of aquatic products.

The fuel in a scramjet combustor must be injected into a high-speed crossflow and mixed with supersonic air in a very short period of time in order for the scramjet jet to operate reliably. More generally, the supersonic air is produced by the lower cover, similar to a Laval type nozzle, of the scramjet combustor. However, significant variation in lower cover geometry is prone to produce unstable vortexes. The unstable vortexes are accompanied by nonuniform stress and strain and are detrimental to the lower cover, even to the combustor. Inspired by mechanical design, this study proposes to change lower cover geometry by decreasing its sizes and then evaluates effects of these changes on kerosene fuel-air interaction in the combustor. The evaluation is based on three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics with couple level set and volume of fluids, which characterizes the penetration height, span expansion area, shock wave angle, and Sauter mean diameter of kerosene jets for three different injection diameters (0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 mm). The simulated air-kerosene interactions reasonably agree with the past numerical findings at identical working conditions. This result demonstrates the effectiveness of the changed lower cover geometry for the scramjet combustor.

BACKGROUND: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) circulation is essential in removing metabolic wastes from the brain and is an integral component of the glymphatic system. Abnormal CSF circulation is implicated in neurodegenerative diseases. Low b-value magnetic resonance imaging quantifies the variance of CSF motion, or pseudodiffusivity. However, few studies have investigated the relationship between the spatial patterns of CSF pseudodiffusivity and cognition. METHODS: We introduced a novel technique, CSF-based spatial statistics (CBSS), to automatically quantify CSF pseudodiffusivity in each sulcus, cistern and ventricle. Using cortical regions as landmarks, we segmented each CSF region. We retrospectively analyzed a cohort of 93 participants with varying degrees of cognitive impairment. RESULTS: We identified two groups of CSF regions whose pseudodiffusivity profiles were correlated with each other: one group displaying higher pseudodiffusivity and near large arteries and the other group displaying lower pseudodiffusivity and away from the large arteries. The pseudodiffusivity in the third ventricle positively correlated with short-term memory (standardized slope of linear regression = 0.38, adjusted p < 0.001) and long-term memory (slope = 0.37, adjusted p = 0.005). Fine mapping along the ventricles revealed that the pseudodiffusivity in the region closest to the start of the third ventricle demonstrated the highest correlation with cognitive performance. CONCLUSIONS: CBSS enabled quantitative spatial analysis of CSF pseudodiffusivity and suggested the third ventricle pseudodiffusivity as a potential biomarker of cognitive impairment.

Steel products typically undergo intricate manufacturing processes, commencing from the liquid phase, with casting, hot rolling, and laminar cooling being among the most crucial processes. In the background of carbon neutrality, thin-slab casting and direct rolling (TSCR) technology has attracted significant attention, which integrates the above three processes into a simpler and more energy-efficient sequence compared to conventional methods. Multi-scale computational modeling and simulation play a crucial role in steel design and optimization, enabling the prediction of properties and microstructure in final steel products. This approach significantly reduces the time and cost of production compared to traditional trial-and-error methodologies. This study provides a review of cross-scale simulations focusing on the casting, hot-rolling, and laminar cooling processes, aiming at presenting the key techniques for realizing cross-scale simulation of the TSCR process.

OBJECTIVES: To observe the CISD2 expression among PCOS patients and to explore its profound impact on the follicular microenvironment. Moreover, we want to elucidate the intricate mechanistic contribution of CISD2 to the onset and progression of PCOS. METHODS: Oxidase NOX2, mitophagy-related proteins, and CISD2 were detected by WB. The changes in mitochondrial structure and quantity were observed by transmission electron microscopy. Mitochondrial and lysosome colocalization was used to detect the changes of mitophagy. MDA kit, GSH and GSSG Assay kit and ROS probe were used to detect oxidative stress damage. RESULTS: We found that CISD2, mitophagy and oxidase in the GCs of PCOS patients were significantly increased. Testosterone stimulation leads to the increase of oxidase, mitophagy, and CISD2 in KGN cells. CISD2 inhibition promoted the increase of mitophagy, and the activation of mitochondria-lysosome binding, while alleviating the oxidative stress. CONCLUSIONS: Inhibition of CISD2 can improve the occurrence of oxidative stress by increasing the level of mitophagy, thus affecting the occurrence and development of PCOS diseases.

BACKGROUND: Morden advanced analytical tools offer valuable information into the understanding of molecular mechanism of traditional food processing. Chopping temperature is well-known to affect the surimi gel quality of silver carp, but the detailed molecular mechanism is not very clear. In this study, a gel-based proteomics was performed on the extracted surimi proteins under different chopping temperatures (0, 5, 10, and 25 °C) along with other physicochemical characterization of surimi proteins and gels. RESULTS: With increased chopping temperature, protein extractability (in 3% sodium chloride) generally decreased, while the extracted protein generally exhibited larger surface hydrophobicity, reduced intrinsic fluorescence intensity, lower sulfhydryl content. Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) profile of extracted protein showed a clear difference at 25 °C when compared with the other three temperatures, and more protein fragmentation occurred. Proteomic analysis of selected bands indicated that major myofibrillar proteins react differently with chopping temperatures, especially at 25 °C. The selected bands contained a variety of other proteins or their fragments, including adenosine triphosphate (ATP) synthase, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, glucose-6-phosphate isomerase, heat shock protein, parvalbumin, collagen, and so forth. For the surimi gel, water-holding capacity and gel strength generally decreased with increased chopping temperature. CONCLUSION: Our results suggested that chopping at 0-10 °C is acceptable for the production of silver carp surimi in terms of gel strength and water-holding capacity. However, a chopping temperature near 0 °C led to less protein oxidation and denaturation. The inferior gel quality at 25 °C is linked to a decreased concentration of extracted protein and degradation of major myofibrillar protein, the latter is likely crosslinked with sarcoplasmic proteins. © 2024 Society of Chemical Industry.

Background: The prognostic value of an effective biomarker, pan-immune-inflammation value (PIV), for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) patients after radical surgery or chemoradiotherapy has not been well explored. This study aimed to construct and validate nomograms based on PIV to predict survival outcomes of HNSCC patients. Methods: A total of 161 HNSCC patients who underwent radical surgery were enrolled retrospectively for development cohort. The cutoff of PIV was determined using the maximally selected rank statistics method. Multivariable Cox regression and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression analyses were performed to develop two nomograms (Model A and Model B) that predict disease-free survival (DFS). The concordance index, receiver operating characteristic curves, calibration curves, and decision curve analysis were used to evaluate the nomograms. A cohort composed of 50 patients who received radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy (RT/CRT) alone was applied for generality testing of PIV and nomograms. Results: Patients with higher PIV (≥123.3) experienced a worse DFS (HR, 5.01; 95% CI, 3.25-7.72; p<0.0001) and overall survival (OS) (HR, 5.23; 95% CI, 3.34-8.18; p<0.0001) compared to patients with lower PIV (<123.3) in the development cohort. Predictors of Model A included age, TNM stage, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), and PIV, and that of Model B included TNM stage, lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), and PIV. In comparison with TNM stage alone, the two nomograms demonstrated good calibration and discrimination and showed satisfactory clinical utility in internal validation. The generality testing results showed that higher PIV was also associated with worse survival outcomes in the RT/CRT cohort and the possibility that the two nomograms may have a universal applicability for patients with different treatments. Conclusions: The nomograms based on PIV, a simple but useful indicator, can provide prognosis prediction of individual HNSCC patients after radical surgery and may be broadly applicated for patients after RT/CRT alone.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relative expression level and clinical significance of LINC00475 in serum of patients with multiple myeloma (MM). METHODS: The expression of LINC00475 in serum of 108 MM patients and five MM cell lines including RPMI 8226, NCI-H929, U266, OPM2 and CAG were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR. The diagnostic value of LINC00475 in MM was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. The correlation of LINC00475 with patients' characteristics was analyzed. RESULTS: Compared with control groups, the expression of LINC00475 was up-regulated in serum of MM patients and MM cell lines (all P < 0.05). ROC curve analysis showed that the optimal cut-off value of LINC00475 was 262.4, the area under curve (AUC) was 0.924(95%CI : 0.884-0.964), and sensitivity and specificity was 83.3% and 91.7%, respectively, which indicated that LINC00475 had good evaluation value in MM patients. Compared with low-LINC00475 expression group, patients in high-LINC00475 expression group had higher levels of ß2microglobulin (ß2-MG) and Cystatin C (Cys-C) but lower albumin (ALB) (all P < 0.05). Compared with MM patients with International Staging System (ISS) stage I, the expression level of LINC00475 was significantly higher in patients with stage II and III (both P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: LINC00475 is helpful to distinguish MM patients from healthy adults, which is correlated with the prognostic indicators such as ß2-MG, ALB, and ISS stage.

Cypermethrin (CP) is a neurotoxic insecticide found accumulated in oysters, one of the most commonly consumed seafoods, posing potential health risks to the human body. We designed a gastrointestinal tracing method allowing for accurate quantification of the propulsion of chyme and further established the mouse in vivo digestion model to explore the behavior of CP in the digestion of raw, steamed, and roasted oysters. The results showed that bioaccumulation of CP in oysters may be accompanied by the biotransformation of CP. Thermal processing decreased both the CP content in oysters and its bioaccessibility. The small intestine is the main site for CP digestion and absorption. The cis-isomers of CP might finally accumulate in the body at a higher ratio and further become the predominant configuration for toxic effects. Taken together, the study contributes to the risk assessment of the dietary exposure of CP from aquatic products.

Sn-based perovskite solar cells (Sn-PSCs) have received increasing attention due to their nontoxicity and potentially high efficiency. However, the poor stability of Sn2+ ions remains a major problem in achieving stable and efficient Sn-PSCs. Herein, an in situ polymerization strategy using allyl thiourea and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as cross-linking agents in the Sn-based perovskite precursor is proposed to improve the device performance of Sn-PSCs. The C═S and N-H bonds of the cross-linkers are able to coordinate with SnI2 and inhibit the oxidation of Sn2+, thereby reducing defect density and improving the stability of Sn-based perovskite films. The high quality of the perovskite film induced by the in situ polymerization strategy delivers an improved power conversion efficiency (PCE) from 7.50 to 9.22%. More importantly, the unpackaged device with cross-linkers maintained more than 70% of the initial PCE after 150 h of AM 1.5G light soaking in a nitrogen atmosphere and 80% of the initial PCE after 1800 h in dark conditions. This work demonstrates that the in situ polymerization strategy is an effective method to enhance the stability of Sn-based perovskite films and devices.
