[Functional methods of assessment of the blood flow in the lower limbs of the patients with obliterating atherosclerosis during complex conservative treatment].

Have been studied the changes of tissue blood flow in the distal parts of the lower limbs at the capillary level under the influence of the different complexes of rehabilitation. Were obtained the objective results of advantages of the combined use of physical therapy and drug therapy. The study showed that for evaluation of tissue blood flow is preferable to to use the laser flowmetry, and for registration of quantitative indicators of regional blood flow changes--Doppler ultrasound.

[Diagnosis and treatment of peripheral arterial aneurysms in lower limbs].

Authors analyzed a five years experience of the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral arterial aneurysms in the Center of vascular surgery of the multidisciplinary military hospital. Authors give the assessment of different diagnostic instrumental methods and demonstrate results of surgical treatment. The possibility and effectiveness of endovascular-traumatic method of surgical correction of this pathology of lower limb arteries are given.

[Aviation medicine: yesterday, today and tomorrow].

The article describes the history and current state of medical support of the Air Force. On December 1, 2009 Air Force Medical Service was renamed into the service of aviation medicine of Command Air Forces, and many of the functions of medical support of the Air Force transferred to the newly formed Air Force Center of Aviation Medicine. April 29, 2011 office of Aviation Medicine of the High Command of the Air Force has stepped 95-year milestone. The changes affected all structures entrusted with the issues of medical support of the Air Force. Today, the medical service of the Air Force faces challenges--ensuring safety, the study of flight conditions and their impact on health, job performance and psychological characteristics of flight personnel.

[Famous scientist and organizer of the surgical service of military air forces].

The article is concerned with the biography of professor, Doctor of Medicine Petr Lazarevich Seltsovsky (1898-1961), who was surgeon-in-chief of Air Force during the Great Patriotic War. He enunciated suggestions about the problems of surgery during his service in Air Force in his scientific works "Head injury of aircraft personnel of Air Force", "Traumatism of aircraft personnel", "Traumatism in Air Force". During the 30-year period of academic and research practice professor P. L. Seltsovsky published more than 120 scientific works including 7 monographs and 2 manuals.

[Air medical evacuation on modern stage].

There was effectuated an analyze of using of aircrafts for medical air evacuation of ill and wounded persons, was shown it's place in system of treatment-evacuation measures during the war and peaceful time in course of liquidation of consequences of natural disasters. The article presents main clinical-physiological aspects of medical air evacuation, peculiarities of organization of delivery of health care aboard aircraft, state of medical air evacuation for now-days. The article presents characteristics of purposes and supply of created sanitary planes and helicopters: Mi-8MB "Bisectrix", An-26M "Saver", Il-76MD "Bistoury". There elaborated recommendations upon organization of medical air evacuation during war and peaceful time.
