RESUMEN

Greening of the hotel industry can be achieved through employees' green service recovery performance (GSRP) of employees to determine environment-friendly or unfriendly issues driven by environmental commitment and green human resource management (HRM) practices. This article attempts to resolve the research problem by analyzing the moderating effect of transformational leadership style on green HRM practices with employee environmental commitment (EEC) and GSRP in the hotel industry. The present study recruited 489 front-line employees (FLE) and their 24 direct managers. The research results reveal that environmental commitment of employee mediates the relationship between green HRM practices and GSRP. Moreover, the transformational leadership style moderates the relationship between green HRM practices and employee environmental commitment in the hotel industry. The study has critical insights and implications for hotel managers and theory.

The present study explores the influence of challenge stressors on identity orientation directly and via thriving at work and employee investment. Drawing on the broaden-and-build theory of positive emotions, this study proposes challenge stressors as a critical predictor of identity orientation. The purpose of this article is to explore if a particular identity is salient in different contextual factors, and this study suggests that challenge stressors stimulate personal, relational, and collective identities to respond to a situation. The relationships hypothesized in this study were tested using a sample of 225 employees from the banking sector of Pakistan. A time-lagged research design consisting of two waves of data collection was employed. A structural equation modeling technique was used to test the hypotheses regarding the relationship between challenge stressors and identity orientation, including the role of thriving at work and employee investment as intervening mechanisms of this relationship. Results showed that challenge stressors had a significant positive relationship with identity orientation. The results also confirmed the sequential mediation of thriving at work and employee investment in the relationship between challenge stressors and identity orientation. The findings suggest that the positive side of stress as a strength motivates employees for continued self-development. Importantly, challenge stressors enhance employees' ability to thrive at work and, in turn, they invest in the work more and identify themselves strongly with their organization and work.

RESUMEN

Waste management is an emerging focus in Pakistan. Specifically, waste-to-energy (WtE) projects are conceived to obtain benefits from municipal waste collection in metropolitan cities. This study provides a brief background of WtE potential, waste collection statistics, type of generated wastes, and current measures to build the confidence of investors in WtE projects. In addition, a brief overview of government efforts for WtE and delineation of licensing requirements for power generation are discussed. The parameters laid down for the determination of tariffs for municipal waste management power projects and the cost accounted for each parameter are analyzed in detail. Similarly, this study deliberates on observations among stakeholders and compares Pakistan tariffs with those of neighboring countries.

Backgound: Cytochrome P450, family 1, subfamily A, polypeptide 1 (CYP1A1) is an imperative enzyme due to its immersion in the biotransformation of a wide range of drugs and other xenobiotics. The involvement of enzymes in drug metabolism indicates an effective drug target for the development of novel therapeutics. The discovery of CYP1A1 specific inhibitors would be of particular relevance for the clinical pharmacology. METHODS: In the current work, in silico approaches were utilized to identify the novel potential compounds through a diverse set of reported inhibitors against CYP1A1. A dataset of reported compounds against CYP1 belongs to 10 different classes (alkaloids, coumarins, flavonoids, natural compounds, synthetic inhibitors, drugs, MBI's, PAHs, naphthoquinone and stilbenoids) was retrieved and utilized for the comparative molecular docking analyses followed by pharmacophore modeling. The total eleven novel compounds were scrutinized on the basis of the highest binding affinities and least binding energy values. RESULTS: ZINC08792486 compound attained the highest gold fitness score of 90.11 against CYP1A1 among all the scrutinized molecules. CONCLUSION: It has been elucidated that the residues Phe-224, Gly-316 and Ala-317 were conserved in all ligand-receptor interactions and critical for the development of effective therapies. The ADMET property analyses also predict better absorption and distribution of the selected hits that may be used in the future for in vitro validations and drug development.
