RESUMEN

With the advancement of technology, the demand for increased production efficiency has gradually risen, leading to the emergence of new trends in agricultural automation and intelligence. Precision classification models play a crucial role in helping farmers accurately identify, classify, and process various agricultural products, thereby enhancing production efficiency and maximizing the economic value of agricultural products. The current MobileNetV2 network model is capable of performing the aforementioned tasks. However, it tends to exhibit recognition biases when identifying different subcategories within agricultural product varieties. To address this challenge, this paper introduces an improved MobileNetV2 convolutional neural network model. Firstly, inspired by the Inception module in GoogLeNet, we combine the improved Inception module with the original residual module, innovatively proposing a new Res-Inception module. Additionally, to further enhance the model's accuracy in detection tasks, we introduce an efficient multi-scale cross-space learning module (EMA) and embed it into the backbone structure of the network. Experimental results on the Fruit-360 dataset demonstrate that the improved MobileNetV2 outperforms the original MobileNetV2 in agricultural product classification tasks, with an accuracy increase of 1.86%.

A Chinese male patient with advanced lung adenocarcinoma experienced disease progression one and a half years after receiving first-line immunochemotherapy. The second biopsy was performed and tissue immunohistochemistry revealed Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) expression in the cytoplasm of tumor cells, so he began to receive Alectinib treatment. Then the next generation sequencing found double fusion variants of S1 RNA binding domain 1 (SRBD1)- ALK and ALK- Calcium voltage-gated channel subunit alpha1 D (CACNA1D). After continuous Alectinib treatment for 7 months, almost complete response (CR) was achieved. The patient is currently taking Alectinib for 13 months, the condition is stable, and is waiting for the next cycle of efficacy evaluation.

BACKGROUND: Emerging clinical evidence has been discovered associating Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) with Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) and immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). However, it is unclear whether a cause-effect relationship exists between them. We aimed to examine the casual effect of IBD on the risk of HSP and ITP. METHODS: Based on summary statistics from International IBD Genetics (IIBDG) Consortium and FinnGen study, a two-sample Mendelian randomization study was carried out to determine whether IBD including ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD) is causally related to HSP, ITP or secondary thrombocytopenia. To support the results, a variety of sensitivity analyses were performed. RESULTS: Significant causal relationships between IBD and HSP (odds ratios = 1.20, 95% confidence interval: 1.07-1.36, adjusted P = 0.006) and ITP (odds ratios =1.22, 95% confidence interval: 1.08-1.38, adjusted P = 0.006) were found. Both genetically predicted UC and CD were positively related with ITP, while CD alone may be responsible for the higher risk of HSP. Besides, no significant association was observed between IBD and secondary thrombocytopenia. CONCLUSIONS: The results of this Mendelian randomization study supported the causal association of IBD with HSP and ITP. Taken together, our findings may present implications for management of IBD.

RESUMEN

This article is devoted to the fixed-time synchronous control for a class of uncertain flexible telerobotic systems. The presence of unknown joint flexible coupling, time-varying system uncertainties, and external disturbances makes the system different from those in the related works. First, the lumped system dynamics uncertainties and external disturbances are estimated successfully by designing a new composite adaptive neural networks (CANNs) learning law skillfully. Moreover, the fast-transient, satisfactory robustness, and high-precision position/force synchronization are also realized by design of fixed-time impedance control strategies. Furthermore, the "complexity explosion" issue triggered by traditional backstepping technology is averted efficiently via a novel fixed-time command filter and filter compensation signals. And then, sufficient conditions of system controller parameters and fixed-time stability are theoretically given by establishing the Lyapunov stability theorem. Besides, the absolute stability of the two-port networked system under complex transmission time delays is rigorously proved. Finally, simulations are performed with 2-link flexible telerobotic systems under two cases, results are presented to realistically verify the proposed control algorithm available.

Accurately detecting student classroom behaviors in classroom videos is beneficial for analyzing students' classroom performance and consequently enhancing teaching effectiveness. To address challenges such as object density, occlusion, and multi-scale scenarios in classroom video images, this paper introduces an improved YOLOv8 classroom detection model. Firstly, by combining modules from the Res2Net and YOLOv8 network models, a novel C2f_Res2block module is proposed. This module, along with MHSA and EMA, is integrated into the YOLOv8 model. Experimental results on a classroom detection dataset demonstrate that the improved model in this paper exhibits better detection performance compared to the original YOLOv8, with an average precision (mAP@0.5) increase of 4.2%.

In this study, a total of 177 NAC members were identified in Avena sativa, located on 21 chromosomes. Phylogenetic analysis showed that AsNAC proteins could be divided into seven subfamilies (I-VII), and that proteins in the same subfamily have similar protein motifs. Gene structure analysis found that NAC introns ranged from 1 to 17. Cis-element analysis of the promoter indicated that the gene family may have stress-related elements and growth regulation elements. Through qRT-PCR experiments, we speculated that AsNACs genes can respond to abiotic stresses such as cold, freezing, salt, and saline alkali. This study provides a theoretical basis for further exploring the function of the NAC gene family in A. sativa.

KEY MESSAGE: PvLBD12 enhanced the salt tolerance by increasing proline accumulation, improving K+ accumulation, and decreasing reactive oxygen species level in switchgrass. Abiotic stresses are the serious factors which limit plant development and productivity and restrict the agricultural economy. It is important, therefore, to understand the mechanism of abiotic tolerance in plants. Lateral organ boundaries domain (LBD) proteins as plant-specific transcription factors play important function in plant lateral organ development, plant regeneration, and abiotic stress. In our study, we identify 69 LBD members from switchgrass genome-wide sequences and classify them based on their homology with LBD proteins in Arabidopsis. RT-qPCR showed that PvLBD genes had different expression patterns under abiotic stress conditions, indicating that they play important roles in various stress. PvLBD12 was selected as a candidate gene for further functional analysis because it had the highest expression level under salt stress. Overexpression of PvLBD12 enhanced salt tolerance by altering a wide range of physiological responses (like increased proline accumulation, reduced malondialdehyde production, improved K+ accumulation, and reduced Na+ absorption) in switchgrass. Some stress response genes such as proline biosynthesis gene PvP5CS1, vacuolar Na+(K+)/H+ antiporter gene PvNHX1, two key ROS-scavenging enzyme genes PvCAT and PvSOD were all upregulated in PvLBD12 overexpression lines. Taken together, PvLBD12 plays a pivotal role in response to salt stress by increasing proline accumulation, improving K+ accumulation, reducing Na+ absorption, and decreasing reactive oxygen species level. It will be better to understand the potential biological functions of LBD genes in other plants.

In the current work, a series of molybdenum disulfide composite MCNTs@Cu@MoS2 materials with high hydrogen evolution performance are prepared. In the hydrogen evolution reaction, their overpotential is as low as 225 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2 in 1 M H2SO4 as electrolyte solution. This excellent catalytic activity has been ascribed to its lower electrical impedance and high double layer capacitance. The encapsulation of copper nanoparticles into MoS2 crystals significantly reduces their resistance, enhancing the electron transfer rate during water electrolysis. Thereby, the introduction of conductive nanoparticles into semi-conductive catalyst crystals would be an efficient measure to improve their electrochemical catalytic activity in the hydrogen evolution reaction.

Brown adipocytes are rich in mitochondria and linked to the body's blood fat levels and obesity. MiR-92a is negatively correlated with the activity of brown adipocytes. This study aimed to explore the mechanism of miR-92a on brown adipocytes. The expression of miR-92a in C2C12 cell was detected by a quantitative real-time-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). C2C12 cells were induced to brown adipocytes. The direct target gene of miR-92a was determined using the dual-luciferase reporter assay. Brown adipocytes were treated with isoprenaline (Iso) and transfected by miR-92a inhibitor and siSMAD7. The expression of heat-producing genes and adipose differentiation genes related to brown adipocytes were detected by qRT-PCR and Western blot analysis. The expression of SMAD7, p-SMAD2, and p-SMAD3 were detected using Western blot analysis. The mitochondrial content was measured by mitotracker fluorescent staining. MiR-92a inhibitor significantly decreased the expression of miR-92a in C2C12 cells. MiR-92a inhibitor could upregulate the expression of Ucp1, Cox7a1, Elovl3, Ppargc1α, PPARγ, and FABP4, and its effect on Ucp1 was increased after the treatment of isoprenaline. Moreover, miR-92a inhibitor increased mitochondrial content, oxygen consumption rate (OCR) and the expression of SMAD7 and suppressed the expressions of p-SMAD2 and p-SMAD3, whereas miR-92a directly targeted SMAD7 to exert its inhibitory effects. SiSMAD7 reversed the effects of the inhibitor on heat-producing genes, mitochondrial content, OCR and the expressions of SMAD7, p-SMAD2, and p-SMAD3 in brown adipocytes. Blocking miR-92a might promote brown adipocytes differentiation, mitochondrial oxidative respiration, and thermogenesis by targeting SMAD7 to inhibit the expressions of p-SMAD2 and p-SMAD3.

Photosynthesis plays an essential role in plant growth and crop yield, and the mechanisms of the effects of cadmium (Cd) on photosynthetic performance require more attention. The acute toxicity of Cd in soil to the photosynthetic capacity of Hybrid Pennisetum was evaluated using gas exchange parameters, A/Ci curves, light response curves, and chlorophyll a fluorescence transients after exposure to elevated Cd concentrations (0, 10, 20, 50, 70, and 100 mg kg-1) for a 3-month period. The results indicated that leaf Cd concentration in Hybrid Pennisetum increased with the strength of soil Cd stress and ranged from 4.9 to 15.8 µg g-1 DW. The accumulation of leaf Cd severely restricted photosynthesis and its non-stomatal limitation in regulating the photosynthetic performance of Hybrid Pennisetum. The leaf chloroplasts at 10 and 20 mg kg-1 Cd concentrations showed no noticeable change, but the chlorophyll content significantly decreased by 9.0-20.4% at 50-100 mg kg-1 Cd concentrations. The Cd treatments also decreased plant ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate (RuBP) activity (Vcmax ) and regeneration capacity (Jmax ), triose phosphate utilization (TPU), light-saturated photosynthesis (Amax ), apparent quantum yield (AQY), light saturation point (LSP), and dark respiration (Rday ), but Cd treatment increased the light compensation point (LCP). The shape of chlorophyll a fluorescence transients in leaves was altered under different Cd treatments. The increased OJ phase and the decreased IP phase in fluorescence induction curves suggested that Cd toxicity inhibited both light use efficiency and photodamage avoidance ability. These results suggested that the decrease in photosynthesis through exposure to Cd may be a result of the decrease in leaf chlorophyll content, Rubisco activity, and RuBP regeneration, inhibition of triose phosphate utilization, reduction of the ability to use light and provide energy, and restrictions on electron transport in PSII.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of metformin (Met) on middle-aged male mice aging induced by D-galactose. METHODS: Fifty nine-month-old male ICR mice were fed in SPF experimental environment and fed freely with water. Subsequently, the mice were randomly divided into 5 groups(n=10): control group, model group, metformin low, medium and high dose groups(Met 50 mg/kg, Met 100 mg/kg, Met 200 mg/kg). The mice in different doses of Met group and model group were subcutaneously injected with D-galactose 100 mg/kg at the back of neck to induce senescence every day. At the same time, the mice were respectively treated with Met (50, 100, 200 mg/kg) or NS of equal volume by gavage. The control group was injected and gavage with equal volume NS. All treatments lasted for 8 weeks. During the study, the general condition, body weight, blood glucose,the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malonic dialdehyde (MDA) in serum and liver tissue of each mouse were tested, learning and memory ability were measured by Mirris water maze test, HE staining was used to observe the pathology of hippocampus in the mice. RESULTS: Met 200 mg/kg per day could reduce body weight (P<0.05). Met intervention had no effect on normal fasting blood glucose in model rats. Compared with model group, the daily dose of Met 50, 100, 200 mg/kg could significantly increase SOD activity in serum and liver tissues of model mice (P<0.05) and decrease MDA content in serum of model mice (P<0.05), and improve most of the indicators of learning and memory ability of Morris water maze test (P<0.05). HE staining showed that the neurons with nuclear condensation and deep staining were obviously decreased in the dentate gyrus of hippocampus. Met intervention has dose-dependent effects on most indicators. CONCLUSION: Long-term treatment of Met can delay the aging process of middle-aged male mice induced by D-galactose, which may be related to reducing the weight of mice and enhancing the body's antioxidant level.

Ultrasound (US) stimulated drug release was examined in this study using a chitin hydrogel matrix loaded with gallic acid (GA), a drug used for wound healing and anticancer. Using phase inversion, GA-chitin hydrogels were prepared from chitin-dimethylacetamide (DMAc)/lithium chloride (LiCl) solution in the presence of GA, with 24h exposure of the solution to water vapor. The GA release from the GA-chitin hydrogel was examined under different US powers of 0-30W at 43kHz. The effects of GA loading amounts in the hydrogels (0.54, 0.43, and 0.25mg/cm3) and chitin concentrations (0.1, 0.5, and 1wt%) on the release behaviors were recorded under 43kHz US exposure at 30W. Results show that US accelerated the release efficiencies for all samples. Furthermore, the release efficiency increased concomitantly with increasing US power, GA loading amount, and decrease of the chitin concentration. The highest release rate of 0.74µg/mL·min was obtained from 0.54mg/cm3 of GA-loaded hydrogel fabricated from a 0.1wt% chitin mixture solution under 43kHz US exposure at 30W: nine times higher than that of the sample without US exposure. The hydrogel viscoelasticity demonstrated that the US irradiation rigidified the material. FT-IR showed that US can break the hydrogen bonds in the GA-chitin hydrogels.

Ultrasound (US) drug release system using cellulose based hydrogel films was developed as triggered to mimosa. Here, the mimosa, a fascinating drug to cure injured skin, was employed as the loading drug in cellulose hydrogel films prepared with phase inversion method. The mimosa hydrogels were fabricated from dimethylacetamide (DMAc)/LiCl solution in the presence of mimosa, when the solution was exposed to ethanol vapor. The US triggered release of the mimosa from the hydrogel matrix was carried out under following conditions of US powers (0-30W) and frequencies (23, 43 and 96kHz) for different mimosa hydrogel matrix from 0.5wt% to 2wt% cellulose solution. To release the drug by US trigger from the matrix, the better medicine release was observed in the matrix prepared from the 0.5wt% cellulose solution when the 43kHz US was exposed to the aqueous solution with the hydrogel matrix. The release efficiency increased with the increase of the US power from 5 to 30W at 43kHz. Viscoelasticity of the hydrogel matrix showed that the hydrogel became somewhat rigid after the US exposure. FT-IR analysis of the mimosa hydrogel matrixes showed that during the US exposure, hydrogen bonds in the structure of mimosa-water and mimosa-cellulose were broken. This suggested that the enhancement of the mimosa release was caused by the US exposure.

A selection of cyclic and acyclic acetylenic scaffolds bearing two tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) units was prepared by different metal-catalyzed coupling reactions. The bridge separating the two TTF units was systematically changed from linearly conjugated ethyne, butadiyne and tetraethynylethene (trans-substituted) units to a cross-conjugated tetraethynylethene unit, placed in either acyclic or cyclic arrangements. The cyclic structures correspond to so-called radiaannulenes having both endo- and exocyclic double bonds. Interactions between two redox-active TTF units in these molecules were investigated by cyclic voltammetry, UV-vis-NIR and EPR absorption spectroscopical methods of the electrochemically generated oxidized species. The electron-accepting properties of the acetylenic cores were also investigated electrochemically.

Stable bis(gold(I) alkynyl) complexes of tetraethynylethene (TEE) derivatives were readily prepared and employed in Sonogashira-like palladium-catalyzed phosphine-gold(I) halide elimination reactions with aryl iodides and redox-active tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) mono- and bisiodides. This presents a particularly convenient method for the preparation of symmetrical and asymmetrical tetrathiafulvalene (TTF)-fused radiaannulenes in good yields.
