RESUMEN

Recombinant avian adenovirus CELO bearing sequence RGD in the structure of a HI-loop of long fiber was designed. Experiments in vitro revealed that introduction of RGD-motif into fiber of CELO increased the ability of the virus to be attached to a surface of CAR-negative cells, and raised efficiency of the process of internalization of the virus both in CAR-positive, and in CAR-negative cells.

RESUMEN

Until recently heart transplantation has been the only method of surgical treatment of severe myocardial heart failure. In the recent years operations of cardiomyoplasty have been performed more and more often for treatment of patients with this disease. The article presents the literature and personal data on the operation technique, indications and contraindications for it. First clinical results of the operative interventions fulfilled since 1994 are discussed.

RESUMEN

Some literature data are presented on the problem of cardiac surgery in patients with chronic renal insufficiency under regular hemodialysis and on the specificity of performing operations on such patients under conditions of artificial circulation. The authors describe their first experience of a one-step prosthezing of the aortal valve and plication of the dissecting aneurysm of the ascending part of the aorta in the patient receiving the regular hemodialysis during 5 years as well as the positive results of this original operation in dynamics of the first year of observations.

RESUMEN

Ultrasonic and radionuclide investigations of the lymph nodes have been performed in 342 patients with malignant lymphoproliferative diseases. A comparative analysis of the data obtained by sonography and indirect lymphoscintigraphy has specified diagnostic spectrum of these procedures. The accuracy and specificity of sonography and broad-scale visualization secured by it dictate primary usage of the procedure as a screening test in initial examinations and as a control sensitive estimator of the on-going treatment efficacy. Indirect lymphoscintigraphy is recommended as an adjuvant to echography for detailing topics and nature of the lymph node lesion and to assess the process above the diaphragm. Frequency and regimen of the examinations should be based on clinical demands.

RESUMEN

Quantitative characteristics of changes in the volume of circulating plasma and the amount of circulating protein were studied in rheumatoid arthritis patients before and after plasmapheresis of moderate intensity. Basing on the comparison of the precalculated and estimated parameters the authors have suggested 4 mathematical models equally describing the protein-volemic relationships in the body. Satisfactory correlation has been recorded between the estimated and precalculated values of protein concentration in the plasma after plasmapheresis that enables data collection in a short cut program.

RESUMEN

For studying anatomy of the alive human heart, a new method of ultrasonic echography has been used. With its assistance it is possible to see all the cardiac chambers, interventricular and interatrial septa, tricuspidal and mitral valves, their chordae, papillary muscles, myocardium and pericardium. Not only their statics, but also their dynamics are investigated, when the heart contracts and its valves make movements. Owing to this, possibilities for studying cardiac anatomy in the alive people.

RESUMEN

Blood circulation and gas exchange were examined after replacement of blood loss (50 ml/kg bw) in dogs by a preparation containing perfluorocompound (PFC) emulsion (20 v. %) and protein-salt solution (PSS) consisting of isotonic solution of electrolytes and donor's albumin, the final concentration of the latter in the preparation being equal to 5%. Animals with analogous blood loss replaced by PSS alone served as control. Infusion of the preparation under study led to a steady recovery of the main parameters of the hemodynamics disordered as a result of blood loss. Its infusion to experimental animals was followed by a noticeable increase in oxygen blood capacity, provoked a more considerable elevation of pO2 in arterial and venous blood as compared to control. Compensation with PFS emulsion for homeostatic changes that occurred in dogs after blood loss involved a more active oxygen utilization, whereas in controls, a more considerable increase of cardiac output. The study drug is offered as base for a blood substitute-oxygen carrier.
