RESUMEN

We studied the effect of Quercetin on energy profile of erythrocytes of rats with the overactive bladder syndrome. It was shown that animal models with the subject pathology demonstrated alteration of quantitative composition of the adenine nucleotide system in erythrocytes. Abrupt decrease of the total concentration of adenyl nucleotides and ATP compared to the intact group of animals was noted in the study. Administration of Quercetin significantly improved the energy profile of erythrocytes in rats with the overactive bladder syndrome. The data obtained provide new findings of the pathogenesis and correction regimens for the subject pathology.

RESUMEN

The gold standard for the treatment of invasive bladder cancer recognized throughout the world is radical cystectomy with orthotopic ileocystoplasty using the ileal intestinal tract. The study of the effect of urine on the adaptation of the mucosa of the artificial bladder continues for the last twenty years. According to the researchers, the results are quite contradictory, as some scientists note the hypersecretion of sulphomucins, sialomucins, progressive atrophy of microvilli, adenomatous hyperplasia and dysplasia. The aim of investigation to study the features of the histochemically revealed activity of succinate dehydrogenase in the wall of the artificial bladder and ileum in experimental animals. The material of the present study were the results obtained from the study of 18 female mini-pigs aged 4-5 months and weighing 8-10 kg. The modeling of the artificial bladder was performed in experimental animals, by cystectomy and subsequent ileo-cystoplasty. Experimental animals with a bladder model in groups of 6 animals were withdrawn from the experiment 3, 6 and 12 months after operational modeling. As for the wall of the official bladder, the changes in the activity of the studied enzymes were significant and showed not only possible changes in the activity of the Krebs cycle, but also about periodic displacements of the accents of substrate maintenance. These changes, in our view, are related to the transformation processes in the structural elements of the ileum wall, from which an unproblem has been formed to fulfill new functional duties. Signs of a violation of energy metabolism indicate the processes of hypoxia in the tissue of the artificial bladder and require further study and observation.

RESUMEN

Results of study into the condition of reduction-oxidation processes, in particular of those associated with generation of the superoxide radical, are submitted together with those of determination of levels of inorganic phosphate which is known to be an important indicator of the tissue bioenergy potential, in 112 patients presenting with a recurring form of nephrolithiasis exposed to a multiple-modality treatment that included conventional antiinflammatory and antibacterial therapy plus "open" and endourological operations on kidneys and ureters. The multiple-modality treatment of the main group patients was supplemented with phlogenzyme, a drug of II generation systemic enzymotherapy. An enhanced generation of superoxide radical was recordable having developed in the wake of a steady increase in the activity of xanthinoxidase. The authors have come to the conclusion that the conducted therapeutic intervention, especially as part of systemic enzyme therapy, results in decline of activity of the xanthine oxidation processes and brings about a change in the blood:urine inorganic phosphate concentrations ratio.

RESUMEN

Clinical data are presented on a new anti-alcoholic drug, litonit. A substantial reduction in the pathological addiction to alcohol takes place under the effect of litonit, and a stable aversive reaction to alcohol develops. The new drug is distinguished by its low toxicity, good tolerance, and its failure to cause disorders of the liver and kidneys even after chronic administration.

RESUMEN

The results of 250 experiments suggest the advisability of using a new antialcoholic metabolite drug, litonit, in combined therapy of infectious-inflammatory kidney disorders occurring in alcoholism. The course of litonit injections does not only increase considerably the content of oxidized and reduced nicotinamide coenzymes, but also normalizes the number of IgA, IgG and IgM. Certain drug-induced functional and immunological shifts are now believed to indicate the increase in the functional renal capacity and enhanced kidney resistance to inflammation.

RESUMEN

The time-course of changes in the activity of sorbitol dehydrogenase, catalase and the intensity of lipid peroxidation in the blood and kidneys of 250 albino rats was studied in the course of the development of alcoholic dependence when suffering from secondary infection. Litonit, a new antialcoholic drug, was found to be effective for the treatment of infectious inflammatory renal lesions in alcoholism. Unlike teturam, litonit promoted the decrease of sorbitol dehydrogenase and catalase activity in the kidneys and abated the intensity of lipid peroxidation. The possibility of using litonit as one of the remedies of pathogenetic therapy for infectious inflammatory renal lesions in alcoholism is under discussion.
