RESUMEN

High antiarrhythmic activity of a new Russian antiarrhythmic drug quaternidine in ventricular arrhythmia was studied in 96 coronary patients by Holter monitoring, bicycle ergometry, and echocardiography. The drug had a positive impact on local kinetics in left-ventricular ischemic myocardium and some parameters of bicycle exercise test. The preparation possesses no arrhythmogenic effect. Experiments on 30 random-bred rats showed that the drug reduced the necrotic zone under conditions of experimental coronary occlusion. Experiments on 14 intact cats demonstrated that quaternidine had no effect on coronary bloodflow.

RESUMEN

The content of hormones that regulate carbohydrate metabolism was studied during the early neonatal period in 80 full-term neonates with intrauterine hypotrophy. Early application to the breast (2 to 6 hours after the birth) was shown to promote the normalization of the hormonal content. The levels of blood serum C-peptide in the newborn depend on the degree of the rise of the mother's body weight during pregnancy and the presence of toxicosis. The levels of cortisol, somatotropic hormone, immunoreactive insulin and C-peptide were determined by the degree of morphological immaturity of the tissues whereas the content of STH and cortisol by the intensity of hypotrophy as well. The moment of the birth and the early neonatal period of children with intrauterine hypotrophy is characterized by a decrease of the activity of lactate dehydrogenase, alpha-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase, creatine kinase and aspartate aminotransferase.

RESUMEN

The proposed research data proved that female green-house workers were exposed to hazardous occupational factors, which resulted in neuroendocrine disorders, manifesting themselves at early pregnancy, at the stage of gestational dominant formation. Elimination of the contact with the hazardous labour conditions, with concomitant pathogenetic treatment, contributed to the restoration of the normal immune status.

RESUMEN

Fifty-four patients with a variety of inflammatory diseases were investigated. Thirty-four of those were admitted for elective surgical treatment of genital fistulas, and 20 patients underwent a conservative anti-inflammatory treatment. Three degrees of intoxication were identified on the basis of the mean molecular level. The data obtained are an evidence of the predictive value of mean molecular level for the prognosis of pyo-septic complications.

RESUMEN

Mechanisms of absorption, distribution and excretion of methicillin, oxacillin and cephaloridin were studied in 46 women with postnatal mastitis (serous and infiltrative forms). The results obtained allow one to document different clinical efficiency of antibiotics in treatment of patients with postnatal mastitis. Poor efficiency of cephaloridin in therapy of mastitis was shown.

RESUMEN

Features of absorption, distribution and excretion of methicillin, oxacillin and cephaloridine in 58 puerpera were studied. No complications were observed in the postnatal period of the puerpera. The results of the study of the antibiotic pharmacokinetics provided elaboration of the optimal regimen for the use of methicillin, oxacillin and cephaloridine in puerpera, i. e. I g intramuscularly every 6 hours.

RESUMEN

The effect of some semi-synthetic penicillins, such as methicillin and oxacillin and cephalosporings, such as cephaloridin on the condition of the blood coagulation system in 85 patients with postnatal mastitis and endomyometritis was studied. It was shown that the above antibiotics had no significant effect on the parameters of the blood coagulating system. A decrease in the fibrinogen level was found in the mastitis patients treated with semi-synthetic penicillins and cephaloridin. An increase in the prothrombins index in the patients treated with methicillin oxacillin was shown. The use of the semi-synthetic penicillins and cephaloridin for the therapy of the puerpera with endomyometritis resulted in prolongation of the recalcification period. A decrease in the fibrinolytic activity most pronounced in therapy with cephaloridin was also found. Therefore, the above changes in the blood coagulating system of the puerpera with postnatal infections subjected to short-term treatment courses were insignificant and required no special correction.

RESUMEN

The effect of semisynthetic penicillins, such as methicillin and oxacillin and cephalosporins, such as cephaloridin of immunity and protein metabolism was studied on 63 patients with postnatal mastitis and endomyometritis. It was shown that the above antibiotics had no significant effect on the immunological reactivity and protein metabolism. However, lower titers of alpha-antitoxin, lysine levels and C-reactive protein content were registered in the mastitis patients treated with cephaloridin. Therefore, while recomending antibacterial drugs their effect on the immunity and protein metabolism should be taken into account and from this point of view semisynthetic penicillins are preferable in treatment of mastitis patients and semisynthetic penicillins and cephaloridin are preferable in treatment of endomyometritis patients.

RESUMEN

Hyperimmunization with the tick encephalitis and Western horse encephalomyelitis viruses reproduced in the brain of albino mice, intensified the protein synthesis in the splenic tissue during the productive phase of the immunogenesis (the 7th day). An accumalation of protein, activation of aniuno-acyl-t-RNA-ligases, a reduction of the concehtration of some amino acids was noted, An analogous reaction was distinct in the tissue of the liver only when an intact brain suspension was used as an antigen. Formation of specific antibodies coursed more intensively after the administration of a more pathogenic virusof Western equine encephalomyelitis.
